Let’s go, so Danny somehow ends up in the arctic because of the Usual ( GIW got to bad, Bad Fenton everyone got murked etc) and starts to hang out with the wild life around there and somehow ends up getting adopted by the local siren population, and now to the DC part of this so Danny and his siren parents or well pack as the siren what him to call them ( Danny starts to understand them but to people who haven’t been around sirens long enough it just sounds like growls and screaming to them) anyway so Aquaman hears about a sea nymph who’s been living in the Arctic and been adopted by a siren pack who are mind you VERY violent when it comes to outsiders around them and their pack so Aquaman goes to investigate it and finds Danny being all mysterious and mystical and than you all know what happeneds next ✨Misunderstandings✨

I do have my issues about the Corridor YouTubers but this is a really good discussion about the current wildfires in SoCal, the destruction, and the geography of the area and how it contributes to our fires.

In some you can see the hurricane speed winds. You can see that the brush does get trimmed back but the whole state is so dry that it will still burn with 100mph wind friction and heat. It's not any political *fault, this is the worst wind storm and worst fire conditions ever. It's a natural disaster.

One thing that's not the most apparent is how hard it can be to get out of neighborhoods in the foothills where the roads are really tight and switchbacky. Another thing that's blink and you'll miss it is the mention of embers getting caught on the winds. You can be ok and far from an evacuation danger zone one minute and then the sparks get blown 100mph into your neighborhood and your house goes up; or one side of your house could be on fire and you are in such an apocalyptic situation that you might as well take a video :-/ I hate it when people are saying those people are dumb or it's their fault if things get destroyed when you don't know the conditions they might be (not) able to drive in or (not) evacuate from their neighborhood or how it feels to lose absolutely everything.

I have been hesitating to actually do it, but the little vase thing I have with the water and the creatures in it is still doing fine, so I’m gonna fill up our stock tank as a water feature. And then move my little guys out there. The snails are fine, the seed shrimp are fine, the copepods are fine, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen any amphipods. I saw one a while back… but conditions in the vase clearly haven’t favored them… it would be nice if a few could make it out into the 110gal.

I'm from Wyoming and I hear a lot of "I've never met anyone from Wyoming" and "Wyoming is empty" jokes. And I get it. We are the least populated state despite being 10th biggest by land mass, and no one really wants to move here because our public infrastructure is abysmal and our politicians suck.

However, I met another Wyomingite in SCOTLAND of all places last year and I think that we unfairly get accused of not going anywhere. But you know the state I've never seen representation from and often forget it exists?

Rhode Island.

Like they only have about 1,500 sq miles of land and just over 1 million people, making one of the least populated states. You can literally drive across their whole state in less than an hour. As a kid, I played the license plate game and you know what state I never got? That's right, Rhode Island. So why do we tease Wyoming so much?

So maybe, if I can meet people from Wyoming in a different country, maybe, just maybe, Rhode Islanders need to get out more.

people say muskrat won't want tumblr because it's "unprofitable" but that's not the reason he's taking over popular social media platforms and if you think so you're not paying attention. purchasing tumblr would be an easy and quick exchange for him and would be a mere penny from his pocket. he hasn't looked this way because the platform is considered underground today. it's not peeped upon by corporate entities and every individual who has an account doesn't disclose their presence here in real life because it's a safe haven to essentially "live journal" anonymously. it's thought to be dead but there are over a hundred million active users here. we are like rats in the sewers, a secret militia.

this place feels private. the things people do and say here is for the most part unserious, and it doesn't make news waves unless big social trends break containment and get to twitter/tiktok and even then people don't know that the origin is tumblr. as long as this platform remains the same and allows uncensored speech and anonymity, people will take refuge here. and not just because we can exist in a mildly uncontrolled environment but we have options to curate the things we see which is becoming nonexistent in other places online. it's literally the only good social platform left for so many reasons but don't talk about fight club etc.
