as a fan of both shows it's so funny watching analysis videos for steven universe and my little pony back to back. like they both take their respective shows equally seriously, but one has some of the best characters, story telling, symbolism, emotional beats, music & musical motifs in the entire genre of older kids cartoons, and you can keep digging for years and still find new things to appreciate that were done fully intentionally by the crew, while the other is a toy commercial with fun characters and songs and somewhat rule-of-cool approach to world building. like I love ponies but it really isn't that deep lmao

I just remember I used to be sooooo into pony theories as a teen #and idk why. there isn't that much there lmao
