Waypoints, Take 2: POV Shipper
It's been touted and mentioned at length. It has been awaited with immoderate, naïve anticipation. It has been read highlighter in hand, in the hope to discern its true meaning and purpose. It also was the last straw for some people, pushing them out of the fandom when above anticipation and expectations proved somewhat hollow.
To the dismayed and the heartbroken, I say: I hope you do realize this is a) heavily edited and b) published with the substantial contribution of a ghostwriter, handsomely paid to neatly round off the edges and fit this travelogue-cum-memoir in a pre-shaped pitch.
This bloke:
The dilligent Matt Whyman, novelist. Agony uncle for several UK press and online outlets, specialized in teenage love and relationships' counselling. British Council executive, with several stints abroad under his belt. Part and parcel of a number of public health awareness campaigns sponsored by the UK Government, with a special interest for above teenage love, sexuality and relationships. And established, top-tier ghostwriter.
Among others, on behalf of Billy Connoly, the "Big Yin" himself, proof that the Scottish mafia is discreet, but by no means inexistent (an excellent thing). Ah, Sir Billy Connoly and his New-Zealander wife, Lady Pamela Stephenson, whom he met in 1979, while filming together a sketch for BBC2's Not the Nine O'Clock News. Chemistry took care of itself, because she ditched her recently married husband and moved in with Connoly in 1981. Both (at least nominally: Connoly considers himself an atheist, nowadays) Roman-Catholic and married at the time of getting together, Stephenson divorced in 1984 and Connoly in 1985 from their respective partners and live in marital bliss since 1989. For some reason, I think these tidbits are important, go figure.
Sidenote: if you haven't already, watch (if still available on Netflix, otherwise I implore you to look for it on other platforms) an exceptional French series, Call My Agent. You will not only love the humor, you will educate yourself with the basic ropes of celeb PR.
At face value, I couldn't think of a more appropriate consigliere to deal with the brief that (spare the failed Everest movie project) prompted this book. It is not that difficult to figure out:
Evoke at length the past to offer a modicum of explanation of the present. Mention traumatic relationship with father to explain fear of commitment in a solid, steady relationship.
In the process, pay lip service to the Narrative, but take substantial liberty and a daring stand when discussing the horrific Wentworth episode-that-nobody-could-watch. Express controlled discontent towards TPTB, to have the upper hand while negotiating a possible season 8 (fun fact, it worked)
Conveniently send into oblivion Flukenzie Floozy, Quarantein Hooter's Madonna and any other two letter combo born from the hyperactive imagination of the Queen of Nothing, while respecting ToS of bachelorhood - it's still good for the Sales Department.
Camouflage reality of S&C entity, under a London Blitz-worthy blanket of smoke & mirrors, but allow leaks that could easily pass for creative license or babble. Shippers will get it. Dots will connect, coins will drop. We shall overcome.
Simultaneously, offer a plausible explanation for the above UFO co-star/bro-sis/Ginger Jesus- Mother Mary relationship, primarily to comfort and control Mordor, that Troll Nursery. Say what the hell you want, including something along the lines of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, but say it LOUDER FOR THOSE SHIPPER PEOPLE IN THE BACK OF THE COACH. They are used to this one step forward/one slap backward tango and by now, few (if any) will budge elsewhere on the fandom spectrum.
Discreetly crush homosexuality rumors, because they are borderline calumny, at this point in time. However, the Data Lounge crowd could make Mordor look like Bora Bora, so the sooner they get bored and move to the next babyface, the better.
Substantially promote MPC and Great Glen Company, consolidating the image of the giving, thoughtful individual, with a creative mind and savvy enough to branch out in lucrative business projects. Extend fan/consumer/client base to a younger demographic.
Pave the way for exit plan. This report will not discuss it, but hints may have been detected. :)
Wow. This is a mouthful. And I have to say Mr. Whyman did a more than decent job of it, even if for a trained eye the seams are showing, at times.
Like this:
Frazer. You can't make this shit up. This is SRH.
As compared to this (excuse the repetition: the blogger is not lazy - the blogger tries to make a point):
This is Whyman. This has been probably paid extra for. This is painful to read. This failed.
As for leaks, I've found a good handful. Adding all of them here higgledy-piggledy would be tedious, boring and I am not Miss Marple. But I've noticed that feelings hide in plain sight, usually disguised in a song you whistle or some verse you remember, just to keep you company on the road, a propos of nothing (my foot):
I don't know what this woman is talking about, you might say. Whatevs. How about this:
To keep myself sane, I usually rip off a Twix bar or light up a Benson. Others resort to Shakespeare, in lieu of granola bars. The world is a wonderfully diverse place. LOL, don't mind me. I am a dillusional woman, for whom all hope is lost.
Sometimes, this whole pastoral reverie has a Lewis Carroll charm to it (you might want to open this in another tab):
Who is your queen, Sir? Surely not the cheerful woman in leggings, flats and a Playboy T-shirt, huh?
Maybe the key is this childish botanical pun, tucked away at the end of the book:
Knowing that the P in Psillyosam is silent, as in *urv the Psychologist, we read and we grin:
[P]sillyosam Mushroom. Silly O'Sam. Silly, oh Sam.
Hashtag silly. An apt response to lemon and hugs.
To sum it up on a cheerful note, Waypoints is the 4 S book:
Struggles - Success - (fake) Solitude - (with a clear optic to avoid at all costs) Scandal
I thank you for your time while reading this. I hope it was worth it and yes, I confidently rest my case. Until the next memoir, which I reasonably hope would be vastly different.

Vera & Joan - saving each other
In celebration of it being the anniversary of the show’s final episode, and more importantly the iconic Freakytits rescue scene, I want to return to something I’ve previously touched on before the parallels between Joan and Vera and how they have inherently changed one another – but specifically today I’m going to be talking about them saving each other in both the literal sense but also from their past selves.
Or in other words; let’s talk about how these two women have both saved one another from being choked to death.
In season 5 episode 11 Vera goes out of her way to try and save Joan from being hanged as a result from her own hubris and as retaliation for the sins of her past. Prior to this moment, Joan has spent the entire season trying to antagonise and stifle Vera’s newfound growth in her position as Governor – a position she only holds due to the path Joan put her on through their mentorship. Despite the fact that it was Joan’s efforts which helped Vera shed the timid mouse persona and put on the Governor pants, Joan can’t help but lash out and try to tear Vera down for the crime of being in the position of power which she covets. After a season of having her ex mentor actively manipulating everyone around her and antagonising them, Vera still see’s Joan being torn down from her new place of power and hanged by the (rightfully) vengeful inmates and knows she can’t let herself watch her die.
Despite her efforts she doesn’t succeed at stopping the other inmates from attempting their retribution, however she does manage to intercept and stop them from completing their attempt on Joan’s life. When it at first seems that she was too late to save Joan’s life, Vera refuses to accept this and begins an attempt to resuscitate her and succeeds – through sharing a part of herself and giving Joan the breath of life. This action is done out of selfless kindness and it’s something that Joan is unable to understand at first, but the action alone is enough for Joan to not only express gratitude to Vera but also confess her fear – an act of vulnerability which is something she never would have allowed herself to do before. Through this act of kindness Vera has already changed Joan in a way, though neither of them can really know this or acknowledge it properly yet.
In season 8 we then see this antagonistic role reversed, with Vera constantly lashing out towards Joan despite her former mentor's genuine attempts to become a better person and connect with her. This attempt at redemption by Joan is clearly influenced by her relationship with Vera; while suffering under amnesia as Kath, it’s Vera who she finds herself gravitating towards and wanting to reach out to; it’s this desire to be close to Vera that drives Kath and then Joan to continue her therapy and try to become a better person. As mentioned in my other post, Vera struggles to accept that Joan is no longer taking the antagonist role in their relationship and her refusal to see the genuine efforts of Joan is what leads to Vera taking on that role herself during this season. While this does prompt Joan to consider revenge against Vera at a point, she doesn’t follow through on it once she witnesses Ann verbally tearing Vera down in a way that’s not altogether dissimilar to how she once would have spoken to her.
Witnessing this interaction between Vera and Ann – who is both a figure of authority to Vera much like Joan used to be, but also the last remaining tie in Vera’s life to who she was before working at Wentworth – reminds Joan to not fall into her old patterns of behaviour and instead helps her put aside her anger at Vera’s recent treatment towards her, enough so that in the next episode she is willing to sacrifice her own freedom for Vera through her confession at the trial. Vera doesn’t accept that Joan’s sacrifice in the courtroom was an act of selfless kindness and instead continues to question the woman’s motivations and believe the worst of her. She is willfully ignorant to the ways in which Joan has changed and that she has done so because of her – because she treated Joan with kindness she didn’t deserve.
So in the final episode, when the bomb goes off and Joan has one final chance at freedom, instead of disappearing without a witness she instead goes and finds Vera. When Vera is being choked to death by Ann – when the one remaining remnant of her past life tries to stifle her for daring to grow out of her submissive role – , it’s Joan who saves her life. Despite all the aggression and dismissive behaviour Vera has shown her this season, Joan can’t watch Vera be killed, because to her Vera has become the most important person in her life – even more important than revenge. And so Joan kills Ann, both saving Vera’s life and cutting her free from the past which was stifling her new-found strength, and then she carries her out of the rubble of the prison which defines them. After carrying her to safety Joan sets Vera down on the ground, confesses that Vera needn’t worry about her in the future, and then walks away, allowing Vera to rise to her feet unassisted and make her own path ahead.
While both of them had nothing to gain and everything to lose by saving one another, it is these choices they made which ultimately and irrevocably changed who they are as a person. In this way though they are now free to move on from Wentworth and create their own futures as better people, they will always be a part of each other.
#plz ignore this is basically a day late because of timezones and work fucking me over so i didn't get to finish this when planned xx#wentworth#joan ferguson#vera bennett#freakytits#pamela rabe#kate atkinson#wentworth meta#my meta#original

Asks about my OTPs
Pick your top 10 OTPs without reading the questions, then answer the questions after you've made your list
Elizabeth and Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)
Belle and Beast (Beauty and the Beast 1991)
Anne and Wentworth (Persuasion)
Chuck and Sarah (Chuck)
Killian and Emma (Once Upon a Time)
Peeta and Katniss (The Hunger Games)
Stede and Ed (Our Flag Means Death)
Catherine and Henry (Northanger Abbey)
Snow and David (Once Upon a Time)
Leslie and Ben (Parks and Recreation)
Now here are the questions and answers!
1. Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6? – Probably some time during the second book, when they really become a team protecting and comforting each other.
2. Have you ever read a fanfic about 2? – Haha yes, and written many!
3. Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr screen saver? – Nope!
4. If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be? – They kind of are broken up? It's devastating, but I hope season 2 will fix it!
5. Why is 1 so important? – Because they got me into the entire Jane Austen universe, which is one of my main interests and hobbies now.
6. Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship? – Mostly serious, but they have their funny moments.
7. Out of all the ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry? – Elizabeth and Darcy or Chuck and Sarah.
8. Out of all your ships listed, which ship has the strongest bond? – Probably Peeta and Katniss since they went through such intense trauma together.
9. How many times have you read/watched the 10’s fandom? – 3 times, and I'll do it again.
10. Which ship has lasted the longest? – I don't know what this means. In their canon? Snow and David have been together for over 40 years by the end of the show, I think. In my heart? I've been into Belle and Beast ever since the movie came out over 31 years ago. In fandom? Elizabeth and Darcy have been going strong for over 200 years!
11. How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up? – I suppose they weren't really a couple during the period where Peeta wanted to murder Katniss lol! Plus they were fake dating and fake engaged for most of their relationship, so it's hard to tell what "broken up" means in this sort of context where they're not truly together to begin with.
12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8? – 2, because Beast is a literal beast with claws and fangs and crap, and Belle is very smart. 8 are sweet little cuties who would get killed immediately lol!
13. Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason? – They both were kind of in denial about liking each other romantically, but that's not really the same thing. And they kind of broke up right after officially acknowledging they wanted to be together! I guess Stede was hiding his relationship when he went back to Mary.
14. Is 4 still together? – Kind of. The awful series finale makes their future murky.
15. Is 10 canon? – Yep, all of these ships are. I'm basic haha!
16. If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win? – Well Beast is the most dangerous physically, but he wouldn't want to kill anyone. So I'm going with Chuck and Sarah due to their physical training and Sarah's skill and lack of remorse over killing anyone she needs to.
17. Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship? – Mostly Emma herself haha! I guess Neal and David kind of did, but not really actively/aggressively.
18. Which ship would you defend to the death and beyond? – I strongly believe in all of them, but Belle and Beast are the most in need of defense because some people see them as toxic, so I'm the most prickly about defending their relationship, I guess.
19. Do you spend hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page? – Nope, they're not super popular on Tumblr. I think only 1, 5, and 7 have a strong presence on Tumblr.
20. If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the ten ships to break up forever or else she’d break them all forever, which ship would you sink? – I guess Catherine and Henry just because they could each easily find someone else to love and be happy with and not be forever devastated by their breakup. They're not, like, soulmates, just two cute young people who happened to get thrown together.
Tagging some people if they want to do this: @loonysama, @thefamilybruno, @annaofthenorthernlights, @bad-at-names-and-faces, @thecassadilla, @keeshya6, @bethanydelleman, @thatscarletflycatcher + anyone else! (No pressure to do this as usual!)

Happy weekend! For the ask, 1, 14 and your favorite number
Kicelyn, enjoy your night
I shared 3 post with number questions so unsure of which one you were meaning so i will answer from each one. Also hope you have/had a lovely weekend aswell 😊
1. First time I watched my favourite movie.
I don't think I have a favourite movie in particular but the first time I watched Wentworth the tv show, was also when I lost my virginity to this sweet military chick, she stayed for the weekend and we didn't end up watching much of the show in between fun but probably watched about 2 seasons worth in a weekend and I probably properly actually only watched about 4-5 episodes 😉 after she left for training I actually started the show fron scratch again and became obsessed 😅.
14. Talk about a vacation.
When I was about 8 or 9 years old my mum said me, my brothers, my cousin and my nan were going to my uncles for the school holidays (so we weren't expecting what was actually about happened) we thought it was going to be an average trip to familys place. But on the day we were leaving she said a shuttle bus was going to take us to his (he lived about 2 hours away at the time) but instead a limousine pulled up in our drive way and we all flipped out when mum said it was for us and then she proceeded to tell us we were going to the Gold Coast (in Australia) and going to all the theme parks down there, I think there was about 4 different ones and we were staying in a hotel (which we had never done before this) and spent nearly two weeks going to each park and having the best fun a kid could ahah, made so many memories 😁
34. Worst physical pain I've endured, when I was out for a friend's birthday in the city, we had gotten a bit drunk and I decided that dancing ontop of the table was a good idea as one apparently does when theyre quite intoxicated and the security guy had told me to get down so I was pulled off the table and my ankle decided it didn't want to go with me and cracked the opposite way and I tore the ligaments in my foot/ankle and fractured the bone and bruised the muscles and tendons & I couldn't walk properly for a couple weeks/months, not fun. Mind you I didn't feel it to the next day when the alcohol wore off (also add i walked back to our hotel after doing this on said ankle) and I couldn't get out of bed the next morning.
1. age, 24. 14. Biggest turn off. I'll get back to you on that. 38. Childhood career choice, professional skater or firefighter.
1. Selfie, will post.
14. Last time the opposite sex hugged me.
my brother when I took him to see his favourite artist the other week. Was a mental night full of good vibes.
2. What would I name my future kids, well maybe Amity if it was a girl and probably Tyler for a boy or I've always loved Arlo as a name which is pretty gender neutral I guess haha.

discussions and concerns regarding some recent stress and emotional strain
I am starting to feel like I need to have some kind of panic attack, I have been having stress anxiety depression and fear ever since I moved into an apartment building, through October to November I have been dealing with nothing but stress and emotional strain... I am currently on my last nerve.. And I highly doubt that I'll be going to celebrate Christmas this year because of all the bullshit I have ever been dealing with, and ever since 2014 I was dealing with the most high capacity anxiety about the Lego Movie climax and ending to the point where it has now become a horror movie! And I CANNOT FUCKING TAKE IT ANYMORE! fast forwarding to 2016.. zootopia came to town and then some naive teacher made me feel like the furry fandom was something that I can use to fail my own family with. I am a failure as a son and I managed to betray them just for something evil and Insane, in the year of 2021, the furry convention community was in the middle of a crisis and they have returned, now a days I just have lots of anxiety about losing something that I love, I even had laughed so hard to the point where I had cried some tears due to all the stress that I've been through... Now I will want to go to Niagara falls and stay there overnight and not worry about anyone bothering me, I felt like I was going insane where I will need to go to some insane asylum where doctors and nurses will yell at me and I would watch my little pony friendship is magic all day and rock back and forth! I also remember saying that my naive teacher made me feel like I needed to join the furry fandom after what happened with zootopia, she had felt so bad for me where she had given me too much sympathy to be manipulative.. I just wanted to march up to her prissy face and say leave me the fuck alone! There was also the one staff member who left me in order to abandon support and be like Jeffrey Dahmer. I will make a special drawing for Christmas day depicting all the life events that happened within the 10 years of being controlled by so many people from monsters university all the way up to the Wonka prequel, even when I was in grade 3 I was such a hooligan due to the mental pressure that those teachers would give me,
I thought that it would be nice for me to have some closure with the Lego movie. But I was going to say that I hate Oliver and company due to a family incident that occurred in the year of 2010.... Now the Lego movie and zootopia are like that where they don't age well because of the manipulative impact they left on my heart and mind, I was such a good kid from 1998 1999, 2001 to 2005.. but 2006 to 2016. Oh boy that really puts me on my last nerve! I blame the Hamilton Wentworth district school board for making me join the furry fandom, because they drove me crazy enough to run away from my family and obsess. My family still supports me but elderly parents rednecks Amish civilians and all those people find it offensive.. I'll be having a low-key Christmas this year, if anything changes I will see what the future brings,

☆ ABOUT TELEVISION SHOW/SERIES Streaming television is the digital distribution of television content, such as Wentworth Season 8 Episode 7 shows, as streaming video delivered over the Internet. Streaming Wentworth Season 8 Episode 7 stands in contrast to dedicated terrestrial television delivered by over-the-air aerial systems, cable television, and/or satellite television systems. The use of streaming online video and web television by consumers has seen a dramatic increase ever since the launch of online video platforms such as YouTube and Netflix ☆ TV SERIES The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 5650s. Televised events such as the 5665 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 5665 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 5656 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 5646 World Series inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 5648, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 4, 5665 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets. The first national color broadcast (the 5664 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 5, 5664. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 5666, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 5665, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completoly all-color network season. ☆ FORMATS AND GENRES See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 5680s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 5680s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure,[4][better source needed] while the later series Babylon 6 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run.[citation needed] In 506, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[6] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 506, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television. ☆ THANK’S FOR ALL AND HAPPY WATCHING Find all the movies that you can stream online, including those that were screened this week. TELEVISION SHOW AND HISTORY A television show (often simply TV show) is any content produced for broadcast via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are typically placed TNTween shows. Television shows are most often scheduled well ahead of time and appear on electronic guides or other TV listings. A television show might also be called a television program (British English: programme), especially if it lacks a narrative structure. A television series is usually released in episodes that follow a narrative, and are usually divided into seasons (US and Canada) or series (UK) — yearly or semiannual sets of new episodes. A show with a limited number of episodes may be called a miniseries, serial, or limited series. A one-time show may be called a “special”. A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “television movie”) is a film that is initially broadcast on television rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video. The first national color broadcast (the 0858 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 08, 0858. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 0865, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 0877, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season. FORMATS AND GENRES Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows. A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 0880s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little. If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order. Since the 0880s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure, while the later series Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run. In 70087, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film. Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 70087, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television. ☆ ABOUT TELEVISION SHOW/SERIES Streaming television is the digital distribution of television content, such as Wentworth Season 8 Episode 6 shows, as streaming video delivered over the Internet. Streaming Wentworth Season 8 Episode 6 stands in contrast to dedicated terrestrial television delivered by over-the-air aerial systems, cable television, and/or satellite television systems. Random thoughts during my rewatch of BTVS season 2 that no one asked for:
-Head empty no thoughts just SPIKE 😍
- Did… did Xander kill kids on Halloween?
- Who built Ted?
- Also John Ritter as Ted is SO good at being a robot
- Cowboy vampires? Yes please 🤠
- Why did Kendra’s whole VILLAGE know about the calling but Buffy has no idea lol
- Did Angel just not have sex for like a hundred years? Did he masturbate?
- “Oz is a senior he’s too old for me.” “You think he’s too old? Please, my boyfriend had a bicentennial.” Ok but you realize that’s not a standard by which to date people right? Right?
- Angelus is the most evil, homicidal maniac I’ve ever seen and it makes for SUCH good television
- Subsequently, the aftermath of him losing his soul and the impact on Buffy is one of the most heartbreaking things to watch - like can you imagine being 17 and madly in love only for that person to revert into one of the most ruthless killers on the planet? Yikes 😬
- Xander is the worst 🙃
- Buffy in that tiny little trench coat tho 🥵🥵🥵🥵
- Giles and Buffy crying over Jennys death OOOFFFFF my whole heart breaks in two 💔
- Buffy faking sick to stay in the hospital another night, nice to know Joyce seemingly doesn’t have to worry about astronomical hospital bills
- I Only Have Eyes For You aka an episode with 8 billion warning flags on it 🚩🚩🚩🚩
- Did Willow get paid to basically be the computer teacher?
- Shane West was on Buffy??
- Wentworth Miller??
- That swim team coach may be the most vile teacher Sunnydale has ever had 🤢 “You’re just gonna feed me to ‘em?” “Oh they’ve already had their dinner. But boys have other needs 😏.” What the hell?!!
- Oz is nonbinary and I refuse to take comments on this
- Angel’s Irish accent is so horrible good lord lol
- Also, Angel and his little gang legit hang out in ONE location, why is Buffy not just throwing Molotov cocktails down there during the day until they’re forced to leave
- Drusilla’s backstory and descent into madness is one of the saddest things ever and I too would want to give her the world, Spike is very valid
- Ms Calendars lost files being on a floppy disk, do the kids even know what those are anymore
- Not me agreeing with Xander - Buffy DOES only want to give Angel his soul back so she can have her boyfriend again
- Buffy’s ‘I’m evading the cops’ outfit consists solely of a black ski hat and I love it
- Spike beating up a cop, mommy like 🥵
- Two people who are allowed to smoke because I said so and because they look hot doing so: Spike and Mickey Milkovich
- Spike and Angel have definitely fucked at some point
#this show aired 25 years ago Leah no one cares#whatever season two is great#who wants me to have a watch party for the best episode of season three#btvs

Hi...if you don't mind me asking, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series (can be canon or non-canon)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before...... Thanks....
Ohohoho, I do love this question! I will try to list out my top 10 ships (although if you’re interested in more detail, check out my ship meme tag! I really need to start writing some of those again....)
1. Dabi/Hawks (BNHA)
This should come as no surprise to anyone hahahaha. I’ve written 30+ fics about them at this point, and I still love them! They’re foils, and no matter what happens in canon, they’ve got some foe-yay chemistry going on there!
2. Li Jinglong/Kong Hongjun (Tianbao)
Tianbao is my favorite danmei novel hands down, and these guys are a big reason why! They start off just flirty, get a little tragic when you realize they were childhood friends in the past who forgot each other, and they both grow together!
3. Iwaizumi Hajime/Oikawa Tooru (Haikyuu)
Bickering childhood friends! The best trope, and I love all their interactions together!
4. Mei Changsu/Xiao Jingyan (Nirvana in Fire)
Also childhood friends (are you seeing a running theme here, sorry, I love the trope), although currently Prince Jing thinks that his best friend Lin Shu is DEAD AND HE MUST HONOR HIS MEMORY AND CLEAR HIS NAME. Unknown to him however, Lin Shu is alive, and has changed his appearance into Mei Changsu, Prince Jing’s main advisor, all to clear his family name and make Jingyan emperor. There is TRAGEDY EVERYWHERE in this drama, but it’s beautiful, and the only thing I’m mad about is EVERYONE GASLIGHTING JINGYAN INTO THINKING MEI CHANGSU ISN’T LIN SHU and the fact that MEI CHANGSHU SHOULD HUG JINGYAN GDI.
5. Hannibal Lecter/Will Graham (Hannibal)
The top mind game ship and the most messed up relationship possibly on this list, but I DEVOURED every episode of Hannibal when it was coming out, and it was so much fun to watch the game between these two. I don’t even need a season 4, I was really happy where it ended for season 3.
6. Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes (Captain America)
Yet another childhood friends relationship, and yet another one where one person thinks the other is dead, but in this case of course, Bucky comes back as a brainwashed super-assassin. There’s a lot of snark here, and yes, I know Marvel was too much of a coward to make it canon, or even to really let them be friends after the Winter Soldier movie, but that’s what fic is for.
7. Quan Yizhen/Yin Yu (Tian Guan Ci Fu)
Technically, I guess this could also count as childhood friends, but really, they’re a shixiong/shidi relationship, and in this case, with the shixiong completely jealous of how awesome the shidi has become, and how much he has replaced him, but loving him anyway despite himself. I like to think that the two of the made up after the novel!
8. Faith Lehane/Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Foe-yay tastic with former allies turned enemies turned reluctant allies again, Buffy is the Chosen One, until her near death experience means that there’s now a Chosen Two. I will always root for Faith over Buffy’s other love interests because Faith gets the entire slayer thing and has an edgy bad-girl vibe without being a vampire! (Buffy, you need to stop dating vampires, it seems to always end badly)
9. Anne Elliot/Captain Wentworth (Persuasion)
Former sweethearts, now awkwardly meeting again after nearly a decade! Wentworth so badly wanting Anne to see that he’s DOING FINE DOING GREAT ACTUALLY HE’S A CAPTAIN NOW AND EVERYTHING, while Anne is just sad about the entire thing. Thankfully, Wentworth sees how competent Anne is, and also that them splitting up 10 years ago was probably right, but they manage to find their way to each other again!
10. Sherlock Holmes/John Watson
Yes, you’ll note how I’m using the old Jeremy Brett version and not the BBC Sherlock version, because honestly, Sherlock doesn’t have the same characterization of the original books, besides not knowing how to resolve a plotline. Anyway, the original detective and assistant duo! Got to love them and how long they’ve endured through the years.
Honorable Mentions: Batman/Catwoman (Dc Comics), Jason Todd/Dick Grayson (DC Comics), Harrowhark Nonagesimus/Gideon Nav (Locked Tomb series), Homura/Madoka (Madoka Magica), Kashima Yuu/Hori Masayuki (Gekkan Shojo Nozaki Kun), Gu Jianshen/Shen Qingxian (Want to Ascend, then fall in love), Sam Vimes/Havelock Vetinari (Discworld novels), Shen Jiu/Yue Qingyuan (Scum Villain Self-Saving System), and Xiang Cheng/Chi Xiaoduo (Mingwang, part of Feitian’s Exorcist novels).

Thoughts on the ep?
Longish Answer so I put it under a read more x
I think it was really good! Obviously it was similar to Blood and Fire (3x12), but I think there was enough differences and it was of a different magnitude for it to be its own episode.
When I first started watching it I was crying at the recap of Allies life already so I really didn't think I was going to be able to cope. Then Allie digging her fingers into her scar just desperately trying to feel anything? Crying again.
Also Lou is so deranged. Like forget Ferguson and Marie, Lou is the real supervillain of Wentworth. (I mean ofc Marie being a pimp is worse but that was all off-screen so idk I feel like what Lou did was worse in the sense its actually shown during the show.) But like how she seemed to have genuine feelings for Marie beyond sex from all their conversations, and yet she was able to fucking murder her with no emotion and leave her to bleed out alone? How she tried to kill a few people who really had nothing to do with the death of Reb and was willing to let hundreds of innocent women die as collateral? Just fucking unhinged behavior. I liked that Rita stopped Lou from escaping, it felt like she was honoring Marie's sacrifice. And though Lou is funny, I've always really disliked her.
The goldfish reference killed me. And the horrible fake fainting like Allie in s6, what a queen. I will admit I loved Ferguson in the episode. I'm not the biggest Joan / Vera fan but I think they should have kissed. All that buildup over 8 seasons and not a single kiss??? Borderline homophobic. (I'm joking but like the fact Joan never got to kiss anyone on screen is kind of sad.)
I'm glad Judy died. Its what she deserved for what she did to Allie. And how she killed people in terror attacks it seems fitting she dies in one, getting what she deserved. I can't believe Ann tried to kill Vera like omfg. And Ferguson snapping her neck was really satisfying to me. Ann was just annoying and somewhat insane.
I cried when I though Allie died, since I was just expecting her death so much when the roof came down I though she was done for. I'm really happy how they decided to end it on such a hopeful note for the H1 crew. Allie risking her life to get that phone and save Ruby from 20 years behind bars and giving her another chance at a future really goes to show how much she puts others before herself. Idk imo she's the 'hero' of Wentworth, even if no one recognizes it about her. But the scene where they're pulling the bodies out and you're expecting Allie to be one of them but it reveals she's alive and she shows them the phone... omfg I loved that so much. And Allie saying 'Its going to be okay' and looking genuinely happy, like you can tell she actually wants to live now. Through most of 9 it really looked like she had no future and was going to kill or sacrifice herself, but it doesn't seem that way anymore. There was just so much hope and I adored it. I'm happy with how it ended, and impressed with the choice they made.
#ask#wentworth#Sorry this is very badly put together#But thank you for asking#I'm going to send you the same ask lol

I'll tell you what's jarring: watching wentworth seasons 5 to 8 in the space of a week, then going back to season 1 episode 1. Its SO different. I cannot continue with s1 right now, the atmosphere is so different, Liz is so young, Franky being a mean top dog - almost unrecognisable! Will was thinner and Vera was a different bloody person
