imagine if they filmed supernatural anywhere that wasn't vancouver bc. imagine
#true detective has a lot going for it but one of the things that really sticks out is the sense of place. would not be the same show if it#wasn't so firmly rural louisiana.#like if you took away every out-loud reference to setting in the script I'd still be able to tell exactly where this show is set#meanwhile supernatural insists on trying to pass off the same 100 square miles of BC as everywhere from texas to north dakota. kills me#(I know I know production budgets filming timelines etc. or actually I don't know I have no idea what logistics go into this)#but man it could've been so good.#remember in 2020 when we were all talking about HBO supernatural and what that would look like. remember how we used to run
