What's with Balloon Boy and the Daycare Attendant?

The Balloon World arcade machine exists, it's in the DA's room and both characters are involved in it. It's probably one of the most cryptic minigames in the FNAF series as a whole, but while we could ponder what exactly it's supposed to mean (maybe I'll do that for all the security breach minigames eventually), the main question I have is this:

WHY Balloon Boy specifically? Why is the minigame about HIM?

Is there a connection between the two characters? Or was it a completely random decision?

Out of nowhere, thinking about Balloon World, I came to a realization:

The Lights.

Balloon Boy's entire gimmick in FNAF 2 was that if he got into your office, he would disable your flashlight and vent lights (...somehow. I know we all make the jokes about him taking the batteries [and then that FNAF 57: Freddy In Space thing in FNAF World said he just straight-up steals your entire flashlight], but you never see the battery icon disappear or appear empty in FNAF 2 itself when he gets into your office. And the vent lights also stop working, so unless they also operate on batteries, then... does he actually take them from you?).

What's the one rule in the daycare?

Keep the lights on.

His mechanic is the antithesis to what Sun wants and exactly what Moon would want. Balloon Boy doesn't keep the lights on. He prevents you from turning them on at all.

(which also makes me kinda sad there wasn't a Glamrock version of BB. Then again, I don't know how exactly he would've uniquely affected like anything. Regardless I am hoping for the day someone in the fandom makes a glamrock bb who is arch-enemies with sun and gets along well with moon skseijdndndnd-)

It feels kinda obvious and I'm guessing I'm not the only person to think about this, but I have never seen anyone else bring this up. Not on YouTube, not on tumblr, nowhere. Maybe if I go looking for it I'll see, but i'm surprised I haven't bumped into anyone else saying this just naturally. I go into the BB tags a LOT, surely SOMEONE would've said something, right? I don't even see it noted in the trivia on the page for the arcade game on the fnaf wiki.

...but is this supposed to mean anything? Or is it just a cute little reference or callback? it's hard to say, especially with how ambiguous the minigame is.

Though I DID think of ONE thing... (possible minor spoilers for Ruin under the cut):

Saw this pointed out in a youtube video that the BB World screen (with Eclipse, who makes their proper debut in Ruin after effectively being foreshadowed by the minigame in SB's base game) can be seen on the ceiling in the DA's room. Which makes sense, obviously, but also take note of the pirate-themed windows in the hallway leading to it.

...now, which character do most of us tend to associate with Balloon Boy? His "tag-team partner," of sorts?

Foxy. The Pirate.

With this, I found that there's more Foxy-related stuff associated with the daycare area than I had previously realized because I had never made any connections before. I mean, Kids' Cove is directly linked to it for god's sake.

Like. I hope i haven't forgotten to mention anything (I've been writing this post over the course of hours 'Cus I had stuff to do in the middle of it all). My brain's kinda starting to fry. But basically: Was Foxy originally meant to be the Daycare Attendant, in-universe? Was there gonna be a Glamrock Balloon Boy with him, like as his first mate or something??? Were they gonna be connected to Fazbear Theater????? (Uh basically Sun/Moon to my knowledge from confirmation in the books and a lot of more subtle implications in-game mainly involving environmental pieces were originally meant to be in the Fazbear Theater as a stage animatronic but got moved to daycare duty instead and being reprogrammed. Which actually explains a lot about them when you think about it-)

Like. Ok I'm forgetting where I was going with this, I'm sorry, but I guess it's food for thought/adds to the weird connections between DA and BB, I guess. Idk. I can't focus that well right now to keep making new ideas.

felt like sharing my interpretation of the Balloon World minigame itself at least since earlier I did kinda finally get it down concretely:

I kinda developed a theory that Eclipse is Sun/Moon's "safe mode" and that rebooting DA reactivated Eclipse as a result. Like, they're their own AI that was at one point implemented. but then Vanny happened and locked them out thanks to the whole Glitchtrap virus thing (albeit it only seemed to reach Moon, while Sun remains seemingly unaffected. Guessing it's because they're different AIs [finally implied/basically confirmed by their Ruin dialogue). Eclipse has seemingly not been active for some time, or at least never post-pizzaplex closure, given how they're seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that this place is closed with no signs of opening.

So the minigame was foreshadowing Eclipse's existence and implying their "trapped" nature, which also could be seen as paralleling Vanessa's whole "Vanny" situation, especially given how iirc one of the messages related to princess quest can be found near the arcade machine.

Let's Always Keep The Memories Of Rooster Teeth Alive In Our Hearts (And Hope Things Work Out)

[Note: Mature Audience Readers Only & For Rooster Teeth Fans...(so not for kids) also will talk about some weird random stuff, some weird ideas and hypothetical stuff and some other stuff like keeping the memories alive. and some stuff will be off topic....also I'm not sure I want this to be reblog or not, well besides talking only a little a bit about well how we can keep the series that was made by the Team of Rooster Teeth alive, I know I will get off topic in this, and I had to edit this in after writing a whole lot on this post that I have so far...anyway maybe I can have the "don't reblog without permission" as a tag for this for now, which means those who do end up reading this can give it a heart, just please don't reblog it without my okay...at least I should think over if I want to decide to let it be reblog and change the tag for this later on that has to do with it...I mean some might find the off topic stuff not really interesting or freaky, because some of the off topic stuff will talk about a pendulum...]

one of the ways we can always keep their memories alive…even though I just found out about the whole May 15th thing…

I was going to take a break from playing FNAF, those darn Glam-Endos… anyway I decided to check out any news about the next Season of RWBY, I think it's suppose to be Season 10…

so anyway I didn't watch all of the video, but it had a Youtuber talk about well Rooster Teeth's Site…

and well, it was May 17th when I found out….

so I got Good News (About FNAF Ruin DLC on the Xbox is working…it was the Glam-Endos from RUIN, I was having trouble with…lucky Moony-Pie didn't give me a Game Over…yep, gonna nickname Moondrop aka Moony by the nickname "Moony-Pie" which is funny cause of some food that is called Moon-Pie…)

and the Bad News about ya know…RT's Site…

but I hope that we can still keep the memories alive, through Fan-Art, Fan Fic and also keeping the Fandom dot com places (I'm not placing the "." but instead of the "dot", I don't know if it will make a link or not…

if I try to write it the other way…) that means Red Vs Blue, Camp Camp, RWBY and many others… dang it, I wanted to watch a bit more Good Morning From Hell on there, and well…it does seem someone made another version of a Red Vs Blue Fandom dot com…

it is like a Database of Red Vs Blue… well like I said, we just got to keep those memories alive, and if it isn't just RWBY that is getting a new home, then maybe someday the others that were on there will too…I can at least hope so.

I wasn't happy about finding out about it, I mean I knew it was suppose to happen but I didn't know it would be so soon and on May of all Months…and there is a reason I say "May of all Months"…

I will have to wait to see that last season of Red Vs Blue, at least I got almost all the Seasons, the last one being needed is of course the very new one that I haven't watched yet, I only saw the trailers.

also is it possible to be a mix of small panic upset at first, and then still a bit mad with a mixture of numb or like half-numb, like you are still mad, but it's like you just feel disappointed you missed the chance and didn't know or if forgot that it was going to be on May 15th...but then again I probably didn't know it was going to be on May 15th and well I had just found out today...

I hope we can always keep those memories alive, from re-watching them by the other means we are able to watch them, like DVD or Blu-Ray...

we can keep them alive, by keeping their original fandom pages alive, as well as their new ones...like both Red Vs Blue, RWBY, Camp Camp and the others...

not even sure if Good Morning From Hell has a fandom page, but it be nice if they did...I was gonna re-watch and listen to that series on there, I mean when I got around to do so...hopefully I can find a way to watch and listen to it even if it isn't at Rooster Teeth.

it would of been nice if I knew about the whole May 15th thing before it became that day and past it...

so yeah, got Good News & Bad News Today like I said...

it made me happy to finally play a bit of FNAF Ruin myself for the first time, even though I haven't beat the one where we have Gregory as a Playable Character.

also another way to keep the shows we fell in love with from Rooster Teeth Company, alive...

is I guess some could make Fan Parody Animation, like it being like Alternate Timeline where Church and Tex don't become "Ghosts" and they stay in their original host bodies, but the new robot bodies that were originally made for them, by Sarge...

can be for their Epsilon-Doubles, and Epsilon-Tex can be called "Beth" as the reference to that song.

Epsilon-Church can be called Epsilon and Church, as well as by the nickname Church Junior by Church, who could nickname him C.J. for short....

but it would make sense if Epsilon is called Leonard Church III.

I can't really bring myself to check the you know, out after listening to what was said in that video.

I couldn't really bring myself to fully watch it, I can't remember the name of the channel of the youtuber really, I'm not sure if I got a really good look at it...but if I run into it again, I guess I can decide to watch it or not....or wait until I'm more ready to.

man it really does suck, but I hope those who do become the new Adoptive Parent Company to those shows we love, make sure to treat RWBY that is Monty Oum's Legacy right and protect RWBY like a precious treasure like it is a gift that must be protected for all times.

I don't know who will be the new Company-Parent, but I do have a guess but I'm not 100% sure if my guess is correct.

well besides the whole Good News & Bad News thing, after I get done writing this and posting this...

and it has to do with possible evidence that has to do with both Lilith and Eve being Gran-Grans....

well with the three close calls I had and having to have a dream-catcher for both inside and outside my room, like one on the door and one hanging over my bed....guess it would explain a lot, if it involves Lilith's daughter marrying Cain...

yeah, I will talk more about that in the next post...

but anyway, I know we all may have got really upset in different ways about the thing that happen on May 15th on 2024...

even though I had found out it was on that day, by finding out on May 17th of 2024....I knew about the thing that was going to happen, and well I didn't think it would be that soon...

and like I said, we can keep the memories alive by Fan-Art, Fan-Fic, and well some of those Fan-Fics will be Crossover ones.

even other shows that have completed their journey with their shows being fully completed after you know, the Final Season of the show...

are still kept alive by re-watching the show when we want to re-live it, and well also by writing fanfics about it.

and well it does seem that Steven Universe is coming back, if he is wearing that blue jacket in the new series, it is only going to make me view him and Sans possibly being one in the same even more, like you know the whole theory about Sans is Steven's Future self.

I mean, Steven has Sans hidden in his Full Name.

Steven Quartz Universe has Sans hidden in there.

of course there is the theory that Sans is Ness, and I got a weird theory that Baby Finn from Adventure Time Fionna & Cake...

could be Papyrus, and the Universe that is Fionna's Home is also where Steven Universe takes place...but like the events that happen in Fionna & Cake's series, happens at the same time that Steven is possibly off Planet and on Homeworld...

and Prismo could of like co-created Steven's version of Earth and Homeworld, and yeah maybe that idea could be more Fanon...

but Prismo decides to place Steven's Galaxy or Cosmos that has Steven's home version of Earth where Fionna's world is, and by doing so, ends up merging the two versions of Earth.

yeah it could end up being Fanon, but I hope some like the idea that pop into my head, even if it is weird...

well I hope my weird idea has lighten the mood...

to the fans of those who were the hearts and souls that made Rooster Teeth's Greatest series and well, what I want to try to say is that like it shows in the tags for this...

Rooster Teeth Company and their Site, will forever and always live on and well I will always love the laughter and joy that was brought by them....even the jokes I didn't really get at first when first watching Red Vs Blue, but like you end up looking it up or learning about it by having it be explained in some other show or movie, and you understand what it is now...

it took me a while, like re-watching the first seasons of Red Vs Blue again, after watching the other seasons...

to figure out that Tucker was a cute idiot, he thought he went back in time....Tucker, you are and will always be an adorkable cute idiot...

if he was real, and if I well you know felt like getting a boyfriend...but I don't because of reasons, and I'm just fine with just getting small crushes on characters, and shipping them with either other canon characters from their own series or in a crossover ship...or like with OCs.

but if Tucker was real, and if I did marry him, I wonder if that would make him technically a Prince by marriage.

if ya heard me talk about my heritage before, even if it isn't all of it and well yeah...I guess hypothetically if he was real, and we did got married, and if we had a kid together, but like that being a big if....and well I rather have a surrogate because of reasons 1, my blood type might ended up hurting the baby, and 2, there can be chances of some bad problems to happen when the baby is about ready to be born...

and once again the whole if Tucker was real, and we did get married, like hypothetically...and if we did have a son or daughter, chances are they will be gifted.....as in they will likely have some powers that will freak Tucker out so much he will jump on to the ceiling and hold on to maybe whatever is on the ceiling...

like I said before, when I first got the pendulum and I held it, it freaked me out.....and it took me a long while maybe some months or so, it touch that pendulum again after it had freaked me out when it started to move like crazy when I held it by that chain thing.

also I'm making sure not to use the pendulum too much, and I have gone for longer not using it too much, and well I have hardly used it.

of course still gonna have to use my gem bracelets for that multi-purpose thing, one of the purposes being that is possibly thanks to my using the pendulum too much and it unlocked something...

lucky the stuff I hold by my hands or just fingers, only move like my pendulum, maybe just a little bit...when my thoughts make it do that.

but even with the gem bracelets on, it seems that some gems that can be on a necklace or like a locket are immune, so it can't be helped and it doesn't really bother me that its just those...

but in a hypothetical way, picture Tucker's hypothetical baby daughter or son, who would be Junior's little sibling.

using telekinesis and making Grif float in the air along with Shelia.

I'm still trying to put a limit to my abilities, like some stuff I don't mind having, like currently...but I rather not let it be like moving stuff without touching it because I don't think I could handle it.

which is why my gem bracelets are uses for the multi-purposes, to put a type of sealing charms & limiters.

and yeah as weird as it is, there is a good reason I keep a dream-catcher outside my door....and have one for in my room, and it has to do with the three close calls which I ain't gonna fully talk about in this post.

but anyway I guess I have only small ideas on how we can keep the memories alive, but I'm sure other fans have already plan to keep those memories alive even after the stuff that happen.

also even if it might not really matter to my family I'm Fictoromantic

but maybe I can take baby steps with the whole Ace thing, and maybe talking to them about the whole Toxic-Lust energy thing and had how it may have effected me before I figured out I was Ace...

I think I might be Aceflux, its just seems like well it just seems more Ace and less flux...

but I guess it was a really good idea to protect my body and energy from some energies that were doing harm, one of them being Toxic-Lust energy....and well there are other reasons for why I wear the gem bracelets, and like I said I use them for multi-purposes, one of them being to keep what the pendulum had unlocked under control.

I think I might be Gray-Aroace, but I'm not sure if it would be the same as Grayromantic, but something I don't know if I can explain it right now...

I know I still get some crushes, but I'm not interested in getting a boyfriend at the moment, but it wasn't like I had one in real life, I mean yeah they were real but one of them I had fell for before, even though I don't remember much about them and I like to keep it that way, but I do remember a bit...like I know one ex, made me feel uncomfortable but I tried to tolerate but I guess maybe I wasn't fully aware but maybe only half was, that they made me uncomfortable even if I did like them....

it might be a good thing I don't remember much about those ex-boyfriends, even if they were online ones and well I never had any guy in the places I lived at before, take a interest in me, and I guess maybe before it would really bother me, even when I got my heart broke by the guy I did have a crush on that lived at the same town as me.

but right now, I could care less because I have no interest in RL-Guys....you know Real Life-Guys...

maybe someday I could find someone in real life, maybe...

but I just don't want to right now, and I don't want to be forced to either.

but if I did want to try to get a boyfriend in the future, he will need to respect my space, not surprise hug me from behind, cause I can get scared really easy...like if I don't know your standing behind me, I'm likely to freakout from the surprise hug.

they will also need to respect that I may not want to be touched at times.

but anyway if by chance the site does come back someday, but like with a new or slightly new name, I guess I don't mind waiting for that.

but I'm not sure if that will happen or not but to me it is a nice thought.

we can keep the memories of those series from the Rooster Teeth Site alive in our own way, and can still watch the episodes of the shows made by Rooster Teeth Company from where we are able to watch them.

as well as hope that Monty Oum's Legacy that is RWBY, will be dearly loved and treated with the most care by RWBY's new adoptive parent company, and I will still give credit to Monty Oum and the Rooster Teeth Team for any future fan fic or fan art that has to do with the series they worked on.

it is just, of course I will need to add a new name to the credit of course.

I think I'm doing a bit more okay now, still not happy about finding out about you know, that thing that had to do with May 15th...

but at least the Good News about the DLC of FNAF Security Breach finally working on the Xbox was the first thing I found out about today on May...and I found out about the other thing that had to do with the Rooster Teeth Site, like after playing Ruin DLC...

I had to take a break, because of those dang Glam-Endos and oh, yeah and that Blue-Rabbit, too...

also we can view that the ship of Grif x Simmons didn't sink, and we can still ship them like well for some being either platonic or romantic bromance...

is it weird that I kind of want to Crossover ship Grif with The Queen of Gluttony from Helluva Boss, but like in a Crossover AU that takes place in a Fanon Timeline kind of way...?

well you know I have my weird moments, even my weird shipping moments...you know if Grif x Bee were ship together in a Crossover Fanon Timeline, Bee would likely spoil Grif way too much and she could be spoiled way too much by him too...

anyway I hope the stuff I had talked about in this, even the off topc ones aren't misunderstood and some understand it in well you know the good way and not that terrible misunderstanding way...

well at least before that whole sad stuff happen, which by the way I still don't feel up to clicking on well the site....to see how it is now.

I can't really bring myself to do that yet, but at least I made sure to do certain stuff first before May 15th happen, and once again didn't know it was going to be that day and well if I did maybe I forgot or maybe I really didn't know the day it was suppose to happen.

anyway I think the love for the series can still live on by the fans, even if it can be Fanon work and the whole re-watching the series.

and well hope that whoever is adoptive parent of Camp Camp now as well, they will be treated with love just as much as RWBY and well, also Red Vs Blue is they get a spin-off series, but I'm not sure about the chances of that, well besides the ones we may know about.

and I guess there can be a good reason why my feelings were a bit maybe mixed today, like yeah that video that I couldn't really bring myself to fully watch did upset me some...but then came some other feelings that weren't really positive but maybe some can understand.

a part of me hopes that someday, Rooster Teeth Company and their site will be back someday, even if it may end up being under new management and a new team and the original team and ones who made the original company will be retired.

and well don't know if the whole being like a Phoenix will happen someday.

but it is still a nice thought, well to me it is...

and I think there are other fans who will keep the series alive in their own way, like either by fan fic or fan art or like a fan comic series or fan animation series.

anyway maybe when I can, I will write a short fan fic that has to do with Red Vs Blue as well as the other series.

well if I do find out some good news that is spoken from those who were a part of the Rooster Teeth Team, I will keep my eye out.

I just hope things do work out, and if the site that was called Rooster Teeth does come back with a new name well I guess that is a possibility and it would surprise me.

I might not be the only one who held on to hope, but even if things seem hopeless maybe there can still be some hope, and that is well whoever is the new adoptive parent company, the fans keeping the memories alive in their own way when they are able to, and well when I'm able to as well.

I think tomorrow I'm going to binge Red Vs Blue, still have to wait for that new season to binge along with them but it will be worth the wait.

maybe before I do that whole binge Red Vs Blue, I will watch FNAF Movie, Sonic The Hedgehog Movie and then Steven Universe Movie and then start with the first Season of Red Vs Blue.

anyway hope some can understand my feelings and I was not happy about what I learned from a video that once again I couldn't bring myself to fully watch after the whole stuff that was mentioned.

anyway I think we can keep the memories alive in our own way, and I don't want what I say to get misinterpreted and I know I had my feelings hurt before when some misunderstanding of what I was trying to say ended up getting misunderstood in a bad way...

like small misunderstandings can be a bit okay and still be worked out in the right way, but some can leave hurt feelings that might stay with you for a while and even if you do get better the memory of the hurt is still there...

anyway hope some understand my feelings and my saying we can keep the memory of Rooster Teeth alive, even the series they helped create and even kept Monty Oum's Creation going even after he went the way he did...

I think I'm doing a bit more better than how I felt when I saw that video, but once again at least I got some Good News about FNAF's DLC first, cause at first I couldn't play it even after downloading it.

and it might have to do with those who were working on the game's DLC, were fixing some problems with it before fully releasing it and only perhaps partly released it at first.

anyway I'm not really sure what else to say, I mean I'm not sure if my words of encouragement will be all that great.

but we all as fans of Rooster Teeth and the shows they had a part in, can keep those fun memories they had created alive and well.

and hope all the series that were created by the team and with other parties that co-created with Rooster Teeth Company.

like you get upset even if it is just a small bit, but then while you still feel not happy about it, but like some of your not so good feelings turn like half-numb...well hopefully things will work out, and when I'm able to I will try to see about looking up who the new adoptive parent company is for Camp Camp, RWBY and if Red Vs Blue is in there, then maybe that is possible...

anyway in loving memory of The Original Rooster Teeth Site...

and hope one day maybe in a unknown future, Rooster Teeth will come back like a Phoenix, even if it might be done by new faces and a new team, cause well like I had said before...

but I know the chances of that is small, and might not happen.

but we can still keep the memories alive in our hearts in our own way.

and well I hope some don't misunderstand but still get what I'm trying to say...but I do hope the new adoptive parent company will be able to treat those shows with care, and understand that they are for mature audiences only...

so some parents don't scapegoat, when you realized you saw a mature movie way too early, even before you were the right age to view it...but you still like the movie even if you may have had someone cover your eyes in some parts.

and even if you still like the movie when you watch it again later on, and you have a DVD or Blu-Ray version of it, and you own it now and it isn't just a rented movie...

but yeah, the mature content isn't the problem, because some mature content ya have to wait until your the right age to view it.

no matter if it is a show or book or video game or whatever.

but at least I know now it wasn't my Mom that let me see that movie I'm thinking of, it was one of my much older cousins who should of known better...

but yeah back to the whole topic, that I hope those who have or will become the new adoptive parent company of those shows understand that those shows will not be for kids and will be for mature audiences only...but maybe they already know that, and will make sure to have the proper ratings.

and well maybe it be a good idea like how one of my other favorite series does, to place the Warning and Rating first and to say it is for mature audiences, and depending on the mature age you will need to watch it, and well I'm gonna hope that not only they do the proper mature rating, but I'm going to hope parents or whoever watches those who are too young to view mature shows, movies and video games.

stop with the scapegoating, and make sure to keep any mature content in a place that can be kept away from those who are too young for it, and when you are able to you can watch the show or movie or play the video game yourself, but making sure to take some form of safety measures, to protect the ones who are not the proper age to view the mature stuff you like but you know you can't let them see it until they are much older, and well hope some understand why you need to be careful with some mature shows, movies, video games or even books your have.

even if you still have some family friendly shows, movies, video games and some books, you could try to get your little siblings or like niece or nephew or son or daughter, to view the ones that will be okay for them to view...

I had caught a little cousin one time, trying to play my Deadpool game once, and I was lucky I caught them just in time before they really got into the fully game...

I can't really play my Deadpool game right now, or even my Overlord game for my Xbox because they need to be cleaned because there are marks on the back of them where they shouldn't be...

I have a idea how the Deadpool one happen, but can't be too mad at little kids, who don't know that your not suppose to touch the back and you have to be very careful.

it can mess it up and cause it not to play, well no matter if it is a video game or a dvd or blu-ray of a movie or show.

anyway once again I hope those who are going to possibly keep working on Camp Camp and RWBY, will take care of them and also make sure to put the proper ratings on them.

and even if some fans have fully given up, I think there are some who haven't and will still keep the memory alive through a type of appreciation and maybe even make anniversary type arts or writings about Rooster Teeth and well maybe only a few will do that, but I hope things will work out and well once again I hope some what I'm trying to say about it and once again there is no misunderstandings.

and well we all can put our hearts and minds in how we keep the happy memories alive, and I hope those who were the original team and founders of Rooster Teeth with their friends and families, stay safe and live a long healthy lives.

They had been secretive the whole week and you couldn't figure out why. That wasn't until Saturday when you woke up to the smell of breakfast and saw a tray with food and a little note on it.

"Meet us downstairs when you're finished."

Exited as you were for your surprise you ate as fast as possible, rushing to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready. You almost tripped over your own feet as you ran downstairs to meet your girlfriends.

Looking at them they had the biggest grin on their faces. Wanda stepped forward and brushed a smear of Nutella from your nose, smiling as you scrunched it up in that cut way of yours.

She pressed a short kiss to your cheek as she grabbed your hand and led you outside where Nat was already getting the car ready. Getting a kiss from the other redhead as well they showed you into the car, not telling you where you were going.

The drive wasn't long and soon you arrived at your destination. Exited you stepped out of the car and looked at the building right in front of you. It was a bookstore, the biggest you had ever seen.

"Happy anniversary love."

You felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind as Nat put her head on your shoulder.

"Do you like it?" She asked innocently, knowing this was the best gift they could have made you.

"I love it." You said as you got out of her embrace and took both of their hands, dragging them inside. You were beaming, this was gonna be a great day.

Two hours later Nat and Wanda were carrying stacks of books as they followed you around, Wandas magic making it easier for the two redheads. They were looking at each other with a knowing grin, they knew this would happen but none of them were complaining.

Meanwhile you were sitting on a couch, surrounded by books as you decided which ones to choose, completely obvious to the world around you or that you had lost your girlfriends some time ago in the true crime section.

Wanda was the first one to notice you were gone. She tapped Nat on the shoulder and the other redhead immediately knew what was going on. She climbed up on one of the tables trying to get a better view but she couldn't see you.

All the while Wanda was asking an employee if they had seen you. In the end it was an elderly lady that pointed them in the right direction.

The sight that greeted them was adorable, you were sitting crisscrossed on the floor, stacks of books surrounding you as you were engrossed in a book that looked awfully like another true crime book.

"There you are, bookworm." Wanda teased, "we almost didn't see you under all these books."

You sheepishly looked up to them and close the book you were reading. Looking around you you noticed all the books you wanted to buy.

"I don't think that will fit into our car." Nat mused as she helped you collect the books on the floor.

You looked at Wanda with your best puppy dog eyes. It took you less than five seconds until she gave in.

"Fine", she stated with a smile, "I'll magic the books home."

You jumped into her arms and hugged her, pressing a shirt kiss to her lips before you did the same to Nat.

They just rolled their eyes at your antics and you started walking to the check out.

When you stepped out of the store you looked at your girlfriends, both smiling in your direction, bags of books floating around you.

They loved you and would do anything for you.

And you knew it.

A/N 1 - Surprise, this series lives! So, it has been a loooong time. I wasn't originally planning to post this part today but my college is killing me and I am hardly getting any writing (and reading) done. This was already done and edited so I finally decided to post this today.

Groaning loudly, Dean dropped his head as you paced around the room, complaining for the hundredth time that night.

“Will you stop?” He grumbled. You came to a halt when you heard his words and turned to look towards him. Throwing a glare his way you continued your pacing .

“Y/N/N, stop it. This isn't going to solve our problem - it'll only annoy the tenants downstairs,” he said and got up from his chair.

“What are we supposed to do? My pacing around is definitely not helping neither is your what, fourth glass of whiskey,” you retorted.

“Third,” Dean said, “this is my third glass and I'm tryin’ to get drunk.”

“We ended up in this situation because we were slacking and this is exactly what we are doing again,” you raised your voice, regretting your decision to stay at Dean’s house with him, “if you won't even try to get out of this situation, I'll be going back to my house tomorrow.”

“You won't stay alone in that house until we catch that son of a bitch,” he said, setting his glass and walking over to you, “it's dangerous.”

You knew it was dangerous considering how the house you had rented in Kansas was destroyed when you had gone back to get your belongings - furniture was thrashed, utensils were broken and clothes were torn, but nothing was stolen. It was clear that Crowley's men were trying to send you a sign to leave their boss alone.

It was Bobby who suggested that staying alone and travelling a few kilometres everyday to discuss the proceedings of the case would be a bad idea since Crowley and Co. were waiting for the perfect opportunity to cause disruption in the case. And knowing how ruthless Crowley could be, murder and kidnapping didn't seem like a far-fetched option for him.

Dean had piped up saying it would be better to stay at his house since he had noticed your house had a weak security system. His other reason was that he had a car, unlike you.

Needless to say, you had reluctantly agreed to stay with the green eyed detective, but deep down inside, you knew that staying with Dean gave you a sense of security and you didn't want to let that go.

“We will figure a way out,” he said, standing a little too close to you.

“How?” You asked the obvious question.

“I have contacted my brother. He will be working as our lawyer to get them to drop the charges. Sammy will be here early morning tomorrow,” he said, removing a stray piece of hair from your face, “but you gotta cool down, sweetheart. Give that pretty little head of yours a little rest.”

“I-I can't. I am freaking out Dean,” you said.

“I know. You have almost bore a hole in the ground by your pacing,” you hit his arm lightly, making him chuckle, “I'm thinkin’ about the case too.”

“Is Sam-will he be able to….this is a critical one,” you mumbled, looking down at the floor.

“I have faith in my brother and he can go to hell and back to save me just like I can. Sammy will do anything to help us. Trust me,” he said, putting a finger under your chin, prompting you to look up at him. He leaned in and placed a kiss on your forehead. This simple act worked like a sedative and you calmed down a bit.

“Join me for a drink,” Dean said and strolled his way back to the couch. You followed him and took a seat beside him. Pouring a drink, he handed you the glass.

“One drink. Only.” You said.

“Alright.”

“Who do you think might be the mole?” you asked, taking a sip of your drink

“It can be anyone. Charlie, Kevin, Bobby, Rufus-”

“Ruby, you,” he nodded, “me.”

“Like I said, it could be anyone,” Dean said.

“Motive?”

“Depends.”

“Do you think we can prove our innocence?” You asked, “the cops kinda caught us red handed and-”

“It's….tough.” Dean said and jumped out of his seat, knocking over the tumbler of ice.

You tilted your head in confusion, furrowing your eyebrows.

“What?” You insisted.

“A few years back, when we were only fledglings in the bureau, Rufus Turner was working Crowley’s case. This information was in the case file that Bobby gave to us. He had arrested two men in his gang but by the time they had got to know about that dick, they had already lost him. He had escaped the feds again,” he explained, flailing his arms all around in excitement.

“Maybe we can find out who those two men were and interrogate them about Crowley,” you said, smiling a little for the first time that night, knowing you had a lead.

“Now all we need is access to those two men's files. FBI is not gonna help us so we have to take matters in our own hands. I’ll call Ash and ask him to find those,” Dean said and ran back to his room to get his phone.

“Ash? What about Charlie?” You asked, when he came back to the room, “And shouldn't you tell Sam first? He is our lawyer and he should be informed about this.”

“It's not like we are gonna interrogate a witness and Ash is a good friend of mine. He is not a fed whereas Charlie works at the bureau and right now we can't trust anyone who works there because we don't know who might be working as a two-faced devil and ratting us out to the God of the Underworld,” Dean said, dialing Ash’s number.

“Ash,” he said when the said man picked up the phone after a few rings.

“Listen, we are kind of in a tricky situation here-oh you heard….not really, we got one week….no it won't….I know you're a busy man, Ash,” Dean said, rolling his eyes, “but we need your help….yeah….the thing is we need access to the old case files related to the drug mafia Crowley….yeah I know that genius….can't you-fine….I owe you one.”

“So?” You asked, hoping for good news.

“Ash will let us know by morning,” he said.

“Can we trust him?”

“Yes.”

“Okay,” you reached for the bottle of whiskey.

“What do you think you're doing?” Dean asked, raising his brow.

“Relaxin’,” you shrugged, “you should try to relax sometimes.”

“You think you're such a smartass, huh?” He said and plopped down on the couch beside you, making you giggle.

“Thanks for tonight, Winchester,” you turned towards your friend.

“For what? For helping you calm down when you were running around like a headless chicken?” He smirked.

“Shut up,” you grumbled, “you know what I mean.”

“I'm here for you. We're in this shit together and I promise to get us out of this mess,” he said as you moved closer to him.

“And I have faith in you.” He pulled you closer and kept your head on his shoulder. He hummed in response. You closed your eyes, sighing loudly, but the sweet moment of coziness was interrupted quickly.

Your eyes flew open, “You son of a bitch, Winchester! Way to ruin a moment! How dare you put ice in my sweatshirt?” Dean laughed out loud.

“First of all, that's my sweatshirt you are wearing and you were looking too peaceful with your head on my shoulder,” he laughed.

“Fuck you!” You growled, and hit his arm hard.

“Ow!” He rubbed his arms. Dean effectively dodged your second attack, “woah, easy there tiger.” By now you were laughing too. As your laughter died down, you looked at Dean and saw him smiling softly at you. You blushed furiously under his strong gaze.

“You hungry?” Dean asked, clearing his throat.

“Uh-huh. Kinda forgot about food today until now.” You said, diverting your eyes.

“I'm thinking about ordering pizza. You okay with that?” He asked.

“Sure.” You said.

Half an hour later, as you were enjoying the delicious pizza and watching some crappy tv trying to put a break on the racing thoughts, you heard Dean speak.

“About earlier,” he sighed.

“Oh yeah. You better be sorry Winchester,” you gave him an annoyed look.

“No, I'm not sorry for that. It was fun,” he laughed.

“No it wasn't,” you said, but failed to hide the smile threatening to take over your face.

“It made you smile,” he pointed out.

“Fine, you're forgiven,” you said as Dean gave you a cheeky grin.

“In all seriousness, what I said earlier, I meant it. I promise to get us out of this mess,” he said, leaning down to give you a chaste kiss on your cheek, your skin tingling with an unknown sensation.

“I know,” you said, “I think I should go to bed now. We have a long day ahead of us.” Dean nodded as you got up and made your way over to his guest room.

I really like your new hood. What kind of visual editing are you doing? Also, what exactly are the rules of this hood? I tried looking it up with the tags, but alas, it wasn't explained fully. Is this a Zombie Apoc challenge? I'm doing a variation of the one on MTS2, but it takes place in post-War California, circa 1939, if Germans invaded the US. Please let us know your rules for this hood! Thanks! child_of_air

Oh dear, this is going to be really long, sorry. :)

1) The pic-editing. I made a Photoshop action to do that. At first, I was going to edit pics of that neighborhood in a warm, low-contrast sepia-tone. Because I like sepia-tone. So, I fiddled with an existing sepia-tone action I had (one meant for regular photographs) to make it work with Sim-pics. It does everything non-destructively, with adjustment layers, so the original image remains intact "underneath." But then I decided that I wanted SOME color but still low-contrast and matte and kind of grainy. So, on top of the sepia-toning layer group, I plopped down another copy of the original image and set a "Soft Light" layer blend with the layers below to merge it with the sepia-toning. THEN I edited a "film" Photoshop action that I had on hand to make it work better with Sim-pics, then ran THAT on the copy of the original image. Again, it works via adjustment layers, non-destructively. Then I reduced the opacity of the "film" layer group and the second copy of the original image so that the sepia-toning below merged better with the added-back color, resulting in the kind of images I've been posting.

THEN I recorded ALL of the above into a one-click Photoshop action that'll work on most Sims-pics. It'll sometimes need to be further adjusted, especially if the original image is really dark, like an outdoor nighttime pic with little or no light source, but for many pics, it's just one click.

I could share the action, if anyone would be interested in having it or fiddling with it for their own use, but it is still dependent on the other two actions that I edited. I'm not sure how to share all three together since one of the dependent actions is bundled with about a dozen others. I don't know how to extract just the one. I suppose I could just share the whole bundle, though. It's a very nice bundle that offers lots of nice effects, actually! :) I'm pretty sure it's one of the hundreds of free ones my hubby has, since he has the ones he paid for in a different folder on the networked external archive drive... Well, if anyone wants it, let me know, and I'll look into it. :)

Now as for the rules....

There really isn't a hard-and-fast set, I'm afraid. I'm kind of making things up as I go along. Initially, this was SUPPOSED to be just a neighborhood to test out some of Sun & Moon's stuff and some playing ideas prior to using those things in another neighborhood I'm developing but where I don't want to experiment. Then it kind of took on a life of its own. *laugh* It has BACC elements merged with the "backstory" of an Apocalypse that can also easily be a "pioneer" or “homesteading” kind of thing with no apocalyptic undertones. :) There are also some elements of an "integrated" playing style. In its pure form that would mean that everything has to be "built" in-hood, with nothing just appearing out of the air. I don't want to go full-on with that -- too tedious and therefore un-fun, IMO -- but I do have some supply chains. More on that further down.

Basically, it goes like this: The end of civilization was coming (Plague, nuclear war, zombies, who knows? And who cares? :) ), and only one person seemed to realize it. That one person was in college at the time. So, rather than focus on his studies so much -- After all, civilization was ending so there goes that MBA and lucrative corporate career, right? -- he focused on making as many friends as possible and convincing them that, "Hey, world's gonna end, we need to get outta Dodge and make a new world." Slowly, he gathered a group of friends -- people who lived in the dorm, a few professors, hell, even a cheerleader -- who believed him and started to make preparations. Everyone else made fun of them, of course, but who cared about that? They were all gonna die or whatever. After graduation, they left, trekking out into the wilderness with (in my imagination) enough stuff like preserved food and potable water and seeds to plant and candles to burn and shovels and saws and stuff like that, to get them by for a while.

And sure enough, they were right! Civilization collapsed. Infrastructure was destroyed or became nonfunctional. Telecommunications systems were gone even if there'd been electricity to run such devices. This group of 16 is out in the wilderness, and other survivors/escapees/whatever are wandering around, too. But the core group has a collectively-agreed-up mission to work cooperatively to make a new and better and simple-living world: Peaceful, completely egalitarian, communal, a world where money and power neither exist nor are desirable, where everyone works together, willingly, for the good of the collective, a world living in harmony with nature. (Basically, my ideal world. *laugh* I really am a communist at heart, only without the oligarchical totalitarianism that modern attempts at communism have been corrupted by.)

At first, they all lived together in one place, sleeping in quickly-built, rough cabins, doing potty business in bushes, collecting rain water for makeshift showers, and eating food that they brought, that they grew/gathered, or that they caught. All the while, they were busy putting together the "raw materials" they needed to build individual houses to live in, each dedicated to a specific function that benefits the community as a whole, the fruits of which would be shared equally with the entire community. Each time a production goal was reached, one person/couple could move off the communal "raw materials" lot and into the lot that could be "built" from the gathered raw materials. And the community grows from there.

Meanwhile, there are those other folks, wandering around alone and frightened and helpless in the wilderness, having escaped whatever the disaster was that occurred. Sometimes, members of the community meet up with them while they're out scoping out the territory. Those poor souls can be brought into the fold as well, added to the communal lot and becoming contributing members of the community.

And that's as far as the "story" goes for now. :) Bear in mind that my neighborhood is age-modded with this mod, so my Sims have PLENTY of time to live out their lives. Not sure playing this way will really work with the standard-length lifestages. You'd have to figure out ways to speed things up rather a lot, I would think or else your founders will be dead before they can even earn a house, much less reproduce and stuff. :) But anyway, the "rules," such as they are, so far:

1) No careers. No vacations. No Uni after the initial "gather your founders" part, if you do that. No subhoods at all. And no money, so if you want to you can give your households a million simoleons because it simply doesn't matter.

2) No electricity. No indoor plumbing. (I intend to add those things as they are "earned," down the line, but only at the earliest when the first born-in-game generation are adults. Haven't figure out exactly HOW it'll be earned, though.) No phones. No nannies, repair people, maids, gardeners, etc., unless you want to set up some sort of in-neighborhood system for that. (Which is certainly doable; I plan to do it later, once my supply chains are in place and I'm looking for "employment" for new people.) No vehicles except "vehicle horses." (Only once you have a horse farm!) Use candles for light sources. Use only charcoal grills for cooking. (Unless you want to download an historical-type oven, but I'm trying to run this with less CC, not more, and I want there to be some big rewards for earning electricity.) Don't use an electric fridge. (I'm using this one.) Use an outhouse, not indoor flush toilets. Use mods so that water has to be gathered to use to fill bathtubs and sinks. Stuff like that. 

3) I recommend using the Visitor Controller to ban all but playable Sims from every lot. Also ban mail and newspaper delivery. You COULD make the neighborhood from empty templates and no stealth hoods, yes, but then you're going to lose the "meet people by hiking" thing, which is how "new blood" gets added to this neighborhood. That function draws from the NPC household that includes things like the BV tourists/locals and the hobby leaders and stuff like that. If you use empty templates and whatnot, you won't have that.

4) Get yer founders. I did this via sending Komei Tellerman to Uni and having him focus on making friends amongst the dormies, professors, and Uni NPCs so that all the founders would at least have a strong relationship with him, if no one else, but you could just make a bunch in CAS if you’d rather skip that part. Or if you don’t have Uni installed, of course. :)

5) Build an initial lot to dump everyone on. (I teleported them with the Sim Blender, aged them to regular adults, gave them the extra want slots they should have as college graduates, etc., since they weren’t yet playables in Uni.) Include everything they need for basic motive-filling but not much else. (You could put a working stack of books somewhere if you want them to skill, but really? With no careers, skilling isn't really all that necessary.) There will also need to be ways to make/gather raw materials. Here's the layout of the one I made, with some useful links to stuff I used on it. This lot houses the founders, any new members added to the community, and ALL born-in-game Sims once they reach teenhood, until they earn individual lots.

Note: For me, I did not want kids on this lot. They have to wait until they earn an individual lot for that. So the only place to autonomously woohoo is the park benches I used as seating for eating. But, I have ACR set so that woohoo on sofas/park benches requires privacy...which is hard to get on a lot with no real walls and a bunch of other people living on it. :) If you DO want them to have kids, then they could woohoo in the cabin-tents, but ACR doesn't enable autonomous tent-woohoo, so...yeah.

Note 2: I let the communal lot run pretty much entirely on free will, only commanding certain Sims to do certain things at certain times. That way, the residents form their own relationships and either succeed or fail at taking care of themselves. They also develop different sleep schedules, which is nice for the player, less of them to keep an eye on at any given time. :) It's also easier to NOT micromanage 16 or more Sims at once, naturally. But this, of course, would be up to the player and how you like to play.

4) Earning a lot: The communal lot has choppable trees, the mining rocks from Sun & Moon's mining set, and Nixnivis's blacksmith station on it. I have fiddled with the trees and the mining rocks to make them autonomous, and the rule is that Sims can never be commanded to chop trees or mine ore. They must decide to do that themselves, so production is limited by how industrious your Sims are. Further, the mined ore has to be "refined" (into things like nails and other things that go into a house). For this, I use the blacksmith station, just having a person make that object's basic single horseshoe object as as "stand-in." (This isn't autonomous; it's one of the things that Sims can be commanded to do.)

NOTE: I could share the edited autonomized choppable trees if someone wants to use this idea; I don't think Beck would care. But sharing the edited autonomized mining rocks would break Sun & Moon's policy, so if you want that, you'd have to do the editing yourself. It's not hard, if you can run SimPE.

In order to earn each new individual lot, the communal lot must produce 75 bundles of chopped logs and 40 horseshoes. And each horseshoe “requires” 2 buckets of ore, so you need to keep track of how many buckets of ore you have in inventories and subtract out the appropriate number of ore buckets when a batch of horseshoes is made. (Just sell them "to the air;" money doesn't matter. Much of the crafting in this hood will work the same way, too, with "prerequisite" objects that need to be produced somewhere first, so get used to the technique. *laugh*) So to get those 40 horseshoes, 80 buckets of ore have to be (autonomously!) mined first. Once you have the required materials, remove them from inventories and sell them to the air. Then, you can build an individual lot and move whoever you want to own the lot out of the communal one.

(You might want to adjust the requirements needed for how you play. For instance, if you don’t want to go pure free-will, you should probably have much higher requirements. If you don’t age-mod, then you’ll want to adjust simply because you just won’t have time to earn lots with enough time left over for your Sims to have kids to keep the neighborhood going. So, yeah. That’s certainly not set in stone; it’s just what works for my set-up.)

5) Supply chains and stuff: Before you build your first individual lot(s), you're going to want to choose what that lot will be dedicated to, because that will dictate how you build it. My list of possibilities -- so far, that is; it's ever-growing as I get new ideas and figure out how to implement them -- is as follows:

Some of those are Maxis things. Some of them are CC. Some of them don't actually exist and I'm using stand-ins instead. (Like, for instance, candle-making. Sun & Moon's beekeeping set produces beeswax as one of its end products, along with honey. They didn't yet make a candle-making station, though, so in the meantime, I'm just gonna use the robot station or something and pretend. They can make toy robots that can be one-for-one "exchanged" for functional candles, which can then be distributed. It's easy to do because money doesn't matter.) Most of them have "prerequisites." I'm not going to go into how all of these will work because I'd be here for days, but I'll give you one example of a supply chain and its prerequisites and stuff.

Let's talk about the sewing supply chain, clothing and blankets and stuff being the ultimate end-products of that supply chain. In order to have new clothing and towels and quilts/blankets and other nice decorative things like that, first, at the very bottom of the "pyramid," you gotta have someone who'll grow hay. Because you can't have sheep (and other livestock) without something to feed them. And you can't have wool without sheep. (Or growing cotton or flax for linen or making silk or something, and if I can figure out how to make THAT happen, I will. I have an idea brewing for marijuana -- think hemp -- but for now...sheep.) And you can't knit a sweater or produce fabric without cleaning and spinning that wool into yarn/usable fiber/thread. And you can't have fabric without someone with a loom to weave it. And you can't have leather (for shoes and stuff) without someone killing some kind of animal (domesticated or hunting wild ones) and tanning the hides. ONLY THEN can you have someone making new clothing. And at each step, there's a kind of conversion. Like "1 spun basket of wool = enough yarn to make 1 sweater." So, you sell the basket of wool (obtained from the sheep farmer) to the air, then "spin" (via a CC spinning wheel plus an invisible sewing machine to make a few potholders or something as a "stand-in" for the process), then you sell those potholders to the air and use Beck's knitting ball to make one piece of clothing which can then be distributed and used to "buy" one sweater or whatever.

That's how everything basically works in a supply chain, some of which have more steps than others. Producing new clothing would be the longest one I've come up with so far. So, when building your lots, if you want to use supply chains at all, you must start out with the "anchors" of the supply chains you want to have. If you don't want to be that complicated, you could just pick randomly or pick whatever appeals to you.

6) Individual lots: Plop down a lot. On that lot, build a house but leave room outside for the lot's function plus the outhouse, the outdoor fridge, a well/water pump and a garden. (Eventually gardens can go away, once you have enough food-producers that can consistently produce enough to distribute amongst the population. But until then, folks will need to grow stuff.) The size of your lots is gonna depend on you and how you play. Me, I like smaller lots and I don't mind cramming large families into small houses...which suits a "pioneer" sort of lifestyle, anyway. So, my individual lots are no bigger than 3x3, and the house itself (they're all the same, just different colors, different furnishings, and oriented differently on the lot), for a child-producing household, is a 9x9 square with a 3-tile deep front porch across the front. 7) Unlike a BACC where CAS Sims are “earned” by certain events, any new, non-born-in-game Sims have to be met via hiking. (It’s one of the possible outcomes of hiking.) It’s a substitute for being out “exploring” or “looking for wandering domesticate livestock to capture” or whatever. If a non-pet “someone” is met, that person gets added to the communal lot, joining the “queue” for an individual lot. (I just use the Sim Blender to teleport them into the communal lot and add them to the household.) I prefer to age up any children to teen and age down any elders to adults, but that’s up to you, of course.

Annnnnnd that's about it, really. I have yet to figure out exactly how the "economy" is going to run. At the moment, the individual lots are still producing stuff with not enough to distribute yet and I don't have any full supply chains yet...but I need to figure it all out soon. I'm leaning toward just equally distributing end-products in truly communist style, but I'm not sure yet. I could list some more miscellaneous rules...but I think that's enough for now. *laugh*
