Sorry I haven't posted in a while, the evil mental condition has been affecting my motivation to draw. Anyways I drew Dr. Wasabi without her goggles and with her hair down before, but that drawing is old and looks like ass so here's a new one with more thought put into it. And also a bonus sketch of her being a woman lover (it's canon because I say so) (please just one chance I want you so baddddddd)

I drew Sour Belt Cookie and Dr. Wasabi Cookie because I wanted to mess with poses and complimentary colors and I did their hair colors as bubbles in the back ground and the complimentary oranges in a gradient for the background.

'old man yelling at clouds' kind of mood but the cookie run today is just not hitting

all these new designs feel too catered to users who are heavily invested in hoyoverse and mainstream anime characters and devsis has been avoidant of using using saturated browns and tans for their recent (and usually rpg themed cookies) and opt for ashened hues or going directly for 'fair' skintones

dunno it just feels like theres a majority of cookies with 'lighter' or 'ashened' colours compared to the classic ovenbreak days where they made most of the cookies a golden brown hues regardless of their primary ingredient and when they have cookies like orange, chili pepper, and wind archer (with their ingredients reflecting their *literal* color) it was utilised well in the design overall

and you could say 'it's for the aesthetic of the theme' and yeah okay but vampire cookie isnt a pale white either and hes still a vampire

but not going to dive too deep about colour saturation because what else really hurts my soul is the unneccessary detail added to all these new cookies because it basically makes them appeal to users who like games such as en☆s, hoyoverse, and literally whatever generates fanservice

because it feels lifeless to me

like back in the day the fandom generated creativity from the most basic art style and created incredible work from such a simple design (examples can be found for any cookie BEFORE kingdom was created) like yes cookies like wasabi had 'detailed' designs but it isnt as complex as peach blossom's amount of detail and like dinosour cookie had cool fanart despite him from being such a simple design compared to royal margarine

butter roll feels like the closest kingdom has tried to replicate the 2018-2020 ovenbreak era, but was brushed off for being a poor unit by 'content creators' (aka users who make a living off playing anime games) and therefore, devgooners decides it must cease simplistic design in order to appeal their anime gamer audience that want to simp for an anime character and pretends it's a cookie
