I only knew four other people who had read or seen Scott Pilgrim and consequently I missed that apparently this film--featuring a thoroughly whatever dude ending up with, let's be honest with ourselves, a bog standard "scene" girl--somehow has caused unimaginable human suffering

#I had no idea it had infuriated so many people #how many blue haired women have woken up next to a bland would-be hipster and blamed that film #how many bland would-be hipsters have failed to attract a woman with blue hair and blamed that comic #I can only imagine #was it just the last straw?#was there something about seeing Michael Cera as a male lead that made everyone born after 1986 snap #to realize perhaps that more-attractive-than-average women have been settling for too little?#are you all taking the movie too seriously #I don't understand this contempt #I will say though #when I saw the film in 2010 I was glad they ended up together #in retrospect I think it would have been better if they hadn't #better for Scott Pilgrim's arc I mean #he doesn't need her
