there is no ethical art
#and there will never be 100% truly ethical art#read tolsoy's “what is art” and he raised a really good point#if the painting is good natured can you guarentee the paints and canvas were sourced ethically?#if you made it yourself is it ethical to take pieces of the environment from the local ecosystem out of want?#if it is spoken word#can you guarantee the meals that give you the energy to speak were truly ethical?#if the art is an idea#was the rest that allowed your brain to think done in an ethically sourced shelter?#so much good art has been made by shitty people#so why deny us the pleasure of these arts if it's impossible to find a truly ethical one#of course you can draw your own lines#but that is up to you and you only#because to draw a line#you are still allowing yourself to consume unethical art#so i just choose not to care#art
