it was technically yesterday but time is fake anyway so thank you!! the day itself wasn’t particularly great (gay great) but i went to a hayley kiyoko concert on the wednesday which was both gay AND great, which i think makes up for it.

a character I’m indifferent about: Karen, considering she’s the main that’s probably not a good thing

a character who deserved better:Ana should have got more of a plotline

a ship I’ve never been able to get into: All of Karen’s ships mainly

a ship I’ve never been able to get over: Nick/Eileen were pure

a cute, low-key ship: Julia and Scott could’ve had it all

an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Most people liked Derek with Karen but I prefer Ivy despite their problems.

a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Tom and Kyle felt so cradle snatcher and weird and didn’t Kyle have a boyfriend?

my favourite storyline/moment: Ivy and Karen becoming friends and Jimmy’s redemption arc was done really well. I loved just getting to see them build musicals.

a storyline that never should have been written: The baby was a quick fix to try and give them a happy ending. 

my first thoughts on the show: I actually thought it was cheesy, to begin with, and that it got better whereas most people seem to think the opposite. 

my thoughts now: I’ve never understood the criticisms of the writing even looking back now i don’t think it’s as terrible as people thought even with the time apart. I think I probably liked Jimmy and Karen a lot more at the time than I do now but that was because I thought they were both kinda messed up and suited each other but I think I was too harsh on Karen and while the whirlwind romance was interesting it wasn’t healthy. I also understand the appeal of Bishlins way more now.
