watched tf one the other night with my best friend and now I've been Re-Mental Illnessed, here's some Rescue Bot Smokescreen Rot I rotated while driving home :]
I think I've finally hammered out some more details of Inside Job and this is what I came up with:
like canon it starts with the Omega Keys. Specifically when Bulkhead gets attacked and knocked unconscious when looking for one
And against direct orders, Smokescreen leaves the base to go get him
there were a bunch of reasons why he did what he did. A desire to prove his capability as an EMT. He wants to be a field medic like Ratchet is, he wants to be able to do more than just wait for them to come back injured when the more time that passes the more dangerous it could be. There was also the fear of losing anyone else, especially so soon after he befriended Bulkhead. It's barely been a few days since they started getting along, and the loss of the entire Rescue Bot Force is still raw
so he goes, and finds Bulkhead unconscious and alone in the woods, with the only injury being some scratches and a blow to the back of the helm. Smokescreen doesn't have a scratch on him as they hobble back to base
it doesn't stop Ratchet's anger
Now, don't get me wrong, Ratchet is angry because he was scared. Smokescreen could've been in very real danger. He didn't know what awaited him on the other side of that portal. For all they knew, the Decepticon soldiers could've still been there, and they could've lost the last Rescue Bot in existence
but unfortunately, he says all this when still angry
and Smokescreen, as thick as his skin is from experiencing years of discrimination, is genuinely hurt by it. This isn't just a fellow medic or instructor yelling at him, this is his idol berating him for what he thought was the right thing to do
this is his idol unknowingly repeating the words that followed him all throughout his training and that he sought to prove wrong, and he has no idea how to respond
so he runs. He drives as fast and far away as he can, shuts off his comm because he just. Can't right now. He can't interact with them right now because frankly he doesn't trust himself to speak and not say something he would regret to his dying days
and unknowingly this puts him right in the Decepticon's claws
some aspects of his capture stay the same. He wakes up in the medbay strapped to a table, the Omega Key is extracted, and he is placed under the cortical psychic patch
but the differences happen in the details
His restraints are barely more than a pair of manacles that he could've probably figured out how to escape if given enough time. The Omega Key was removed before he even woke up, the incisions of surgery fresh on his frame but the work is well done with obvious care. With the patch, the mental prodding and information gathering is... oddly gentle and quick, doing barely more than verifying what the Keys are and Smokescreen's identity as a Rescue Bot before retreating
Smokescreen is not a warrior after all. He is a bot thought to be long since extinct who quite literally dropped out of the sky at their feet without warning. He may have loyalty to the Autobots but... he's not fighting this war. Not really. He's just been doing what Rescue Bots do: helping those who need it.
The "cell" he's kept in, if it can even be called that, was an old now-dead officer's quarters. The door is locked and there are guards stationed inside watching him at all hours, but they are not cruel. He gets a healthy amount of rations regularly, and has even been given a data terminal to keep himself entertained (of course, no before Soundwave had thoroughly firewalled and restricted anything that could be used against them)
the most stressful part of his capture is when Megatron comes to visit. Every day without fail, he will come check in on how Smokescreen is doing. He will ask how he's doing and they talk. About Cybertron, about the war, about how accepting the Rescue Bots were, allowing any Cybertronian regardless of caste to join, how much of a tragedy it was for them to have been wiped out.
Smokescreen is not blind to how he attempts to sow seeds of doubt into the Autobots into him. About how cruel it was for them to keep him confined to the base, how cruel Trion was for implanting a relic without his knowledge, questions if Smokescreen truly wanted to help them or if that's just what they've pressured him into doing with false promises that crumble like glass
but instead of refuting him... Smokescreen decides to play along
after all, Megatron obviously sees him as a poor, innocent, helpless bot who could be swayed by some sweet words and a cage advertised as protection
and that facade would make it all the easier to escape when the time came :)

Okay so. A lot of people have been making cute little dungeon meshi aus where it's modern, but specifically the cast lives in one place. Figured I should maybe share mine?
Anyways. Dungeon Meshi but it's midwestern.
-Senshi, i think, is a regular presence in the church but is the kind of christian that the pastor has beef with. He has an apron with two fish and five loaves of bread on it, and can be found at pretty much every barbecue and church potluck. No one's sure if he's really devoted to jesus or just heard the story of a guy feeding an entire crowd and started showing up to church to feed people. He has caused two married men to have their bisexual awakenings.
-The town they all live in has an extremely high density of restaurants, meaning the only thing to do around there is go out to eat. The gang goes out to eat new places a lot together!
-Izutsumi is a warrior cats kid who was probably bullied for hissing and biting the other kids. The gang recognizes that she's not mean, she's just badly socialized and also seventeen. She lives in a group home, but has been running away less ever since she got promised regular meals.
-Related: Chilchuk is a union guy who is covertly making sure every restaurant they go to is up to code. He keeps shutting down places for not having adequate safety measures for their employees.
-Izutsumi has decided she's going to hang out with Chilchuk sometimes and will stop by his workplace. He's insistent that he's not adopting any more children, but has been teaching her how to budget, how to lie convincingly enough to get a job, and the most ethical places to shoplift from with the fewest risks because she's going to steal things anyways.
-Marcille has never been to a cornfield in her life. She's a Chicago kid, who really misses her deep dish pizza and that really good Italian place, but she's here to study some rare microorganisms.
-Marcille studies a very weird field of medicine that involves looking for medical uses in odd places. She's looking to eliminate class divides in lifespan by trying to find more affordable medicines for diseases that primarily affect the lower class.
-Her father died of asbestos poisoning from working in unsafe conditions when she was a kid, so she's especially alert for it, and gets a little neurotic around flu season.
-Laios and Falin used to go to the creek behind their house all the time to catch crawdads, and sometimes he'll still do it for old time's sake.
-Laios flunked out of college because they couldn't handle his autism rizz. He's going to trade school for the culinary arts, but he keeps trying to cook things he shouldn't.
-Laios checked out the massive dragon books from the library and cried when he found out they weren't real.
-He does furry commissions online, but he's not the best with customer negotiations and keeps wondering how many nipples someone's fursona has. Chilchuk helped him build his profile to appeal to commissioners who like speculative biology.
-Falin watched her brother flunk and went "hm, I think I will not." she's an apprentice at a local gardening shop. You think she's a normal sweet cottagecore kind of girl but then she starts gushing about soil nutrients and sustainability and you realize. Oh. Oh this is the kind of girl who would romanticize being buried under a tree and having it consume her bones.
-Laios wears shirts with anatomically correct dinosaur skeletons on them, but he has to order them online and frequently complains that there are no good clothing shops nearby. Senshi heard him say this, and introduced him to fabric paint.

Hello love! I know it would be a long while until you respond but for now, as I am writing this, Happy Valentine’s and Family’s Day! (Or whatever you are celebrating) ❤️❤️❤️❤️ So, I have a big TFP theory. You don’t need to write any fics for this, I just would like some reactions and some of your thoughts to this, cause you really know a lot about the TFP characters and stories. And if this is not your thing, please do skip it, I don’t mind at all. So, the other day I was analyzing the TFP characters designs with my friends, and I noticed something interesting: Ratchet, despite being a medic, got big and bulky hands and fingers. Like, if the man is a medic and a technician, why are his fingers designed to be so big and fat? How could he perform surgeries and work on machines smoothly like this? And if you look at Knockout, his fingers are knife-like and agile and clearly made to be a surgeon. And the same is with Soundwaves— his hands are also long and skinny, wonderful with working on computers. Both very different from Ratchet’s. So here is my theory: (forgive me if I missed other important canon points in TFP that goes against this theory. I am kinda new to it) but my theory says that TFP Ratchet was never born nor trained to be a medic. Instead, he was trained to become a warrior. Other proof for this is that Ratchet got muscular square build like Wheeljack, and in the episode where he used Synthetic Energon, he became extremely powerful and good at battles, but there is no way the energon alone could have suddenly taught him so many battle skills and techniques. However, at some point in Ratchet’s life, he chose to become a medic and the technician despite not being completely suited for it, either due to his own passion and dream, or because of the situation. But Ratchet was smart, and not only managed to work his way into this field, he also became a master at it. This also explains why he has so many tools all the time, and why he always “needed that”, cause his own body and hands itself are not suited for most jobs he does, and he needed a whole bunch of tools to help him. Like if I recall correctly neither Knockout nor Soundwave ever needed that many. And this might be another reason why Rafael was even better than Ratchet was at certain computer jobs. Of course, Raf is also a little genius, and is full of talents himself, but another factor could be that Raf got smaller and more agile fingers that are better built for typing, and have less limitations to computers compared to Ratchet. So yeah, what are your thoughts on this? I don’t think the whole Ratchet’s fingers things are ever pointed out by anyone else. You can just provide a single paragraph of thoughts. Thank you for your time.
This a very interesting theory you have.
It would make sense to have slimmer digits to perform more sensitive surgeries. It would be a bit harder to do it with bulkier digits.
Ratchet being a born/ created warrior is also an interesting concept to think about.
Imagine if we didn't get Ratchet as a medic, but as some warrior.
I personally think that he is built 'boxy' so he can look more friend shaped.
Comparing a fuller, 'box' like character to one that is thin and sharp; you would be more drawn to the box than the sharp.
Huggable even.
Ratchet can come off as cold, but ultimately cares for everyone around him. He keeps most of his problems and opinions to himself neatly packaged away.
Like a box.
Tumblr media
Knockout is very much a vain character and has repeatedly stated that he is more useful in 'slicing and dicing' than putting things back together.
Hence, the saw.
Tumblr media
Probably the reason why Ratchet gets more frustrated at his tools being destroyed could be because most of his tools are made by him, for him.
Thinking back on how limited resources are and how probably most if not all medical supplies/ tools are broken or dented. Nothing is new and minted, they wont work the same as a one fresh out of the assembly line.
He would be rightfully mad if the only 'good' tools were getting broken on the daily. The ones that he has to ask for help with is because they have been repaired and disfigured so much it doesn't work the same as before.
Ratchet is probably used to the newer, the 'standard' tools more than the make shift ones.
This was fun to think about! Hope everything is good on your end!

(I apologize in advance because this'll be a long one for I have so much to say)
Malon proposed to Time and it was the cutest thing ever and it made Time so red he thought he caught a fever.
Warriors may look thin, but that man could easily carry both Time and Twilight (with their armor on) without breaking a sweat. My man swings a huge ball and chain around that could easily be a few hundred pounds, he's shredded beneath those clothes.
Twilight has both the triforce of courage and power, and often uses the blessing from the triforce of power more often.
Hyruke has all three segments of the triforce. He uses the blessing from the triforce of wisdom the most.
Wild does not have a triforce price, neither does Flora, as in their era the triforce has been hidden away in the sacred realm.
All the Zeldas are taller than their Link. Even if by an inch, they are taller (With the biggest height difference being between Time and Lullaby, as she towers him by a good foot. The hardest to see is Sky and Sun, as she is only an inch taller.)
Four has a fear of every insect except for spiders, which makes him the only Link to not have arachniphobia.
Legend has fist fought a child before. No I will not elaborate.
If sleepy or pissed off, both Twilight and Warriors shift into their native tongues (I like to think Ordon is based in an Eastern European country, so I will happily be spreading my Hungarian Twilight agenda thank you very much.)
The most passive aggressive person in the group is Sky, as he gets tired of being all nice when somebody is being a prick but doesn't want to be outright rude.
Wind thinks Time's and Twilight's facial markings are cool and wants his own.
Time is short and his boots make him taller. He is around the same height as Sky without them, and Malon is taller than him too. It's because the lost forest didn't really have enough food for him to grow properly, so he's short now.
Wind, Warriors, and Time all have some sort of PTSD relating to the FD mask. (Warriors nearly died during battle because a possessed young Time didn't realize he was a friend and not a foe. Wind was forced to wear it once during battle and doesnt want to be near it after the pain it cause him. Time is basically fusing with the Deity with how often he wore it in his youth.)
Wild is not fully mortal and is considered half dead, so certain beings either like him or hate him more for it. (Fairies tend to avoid him while spirits tend to trust him).
Four can still see the Minish despite being considered to old to. They sometimes help if the chain gets lost.
Hyrule is not the field medic, it's actually Legend and Warriors.
Sky talks about Sun so much that everybody assumed they were already married. It surprised everyone when he revealed they weren't engaged yet.
During the events of the story, Malon is pregnant with her and Time's first child. The child is born after Time returns permanently, and it is Twilight's mom!
Everybody has cuddled Twilight, either it be when he was Wolfie or not, he has been cuddled.
Warriors is his Ganondorf's son, and the only ones to know is Time, Wind and Twilight. Wild somewhat knows due to the ruins he and Flora once found from his era, though he isn't quite sure.
Wild is not the only foodie in the group. All the boys can eat their own weight and not gain a single pound afterwards. They all love food and love trying different dishes from all places.
Certain Hyrules have myths and folklore about monsters we know about (such as ghouls, vampires, werewolves and such). For example, Hyrule thought Twilight was a werewolf after learning he was Wolfie and kept placing silver objects on top of him while he was on bedrest. (Which did nothing since Twilight isn't a werewolf.)
Hylia heavily favors Wild and Sky the most out of all the boys. (Since I like the idea of BOTW and TOTK being direct sequels to SS instead if further down the timeline)
Dark Link is an amalgamation of all the Link's darkest desires. He also has the ability to shift into any of the others if he focused enough of his energy to do so.
Twilight has committed cannabilism before. His wolfish instincts got the better of him, and the guy was trying to hurt Legend. Legend hasn't spoken about it since the incident, and only they know.
All the Links have eaten something inedible and every time they do it infront of Malon she does the clutching her pearls gesture and it's really cute.
I have so many more but I'm to tired to continue. I hope you're taking care of yourself ♥
You have no need to apologize I absolutely LOVE reading people’s headcanons, feel free to stop by my ask box and tell me ur headcanons whenever you’d like :)
1. I firmly believe this was the case, Malon absolutely proposed to him. I also believe she can pick him up and carry him around
2. I have a post I’m planning on making soon about body types but I am a FIRM believer that just because Warriors is thin doesn’t mean that man isn’t strong. He’s incredibly thin looking, the kind of guy you’d assume you can see his ribs, and people underestimate his strength because of it. Yes, physically there isn’t a whole lot of him, but that’s because he has very low body fat because it’s all muscle. To me he has a build similar to female ballet dancers. Very small and you wouldn’t assume he’s capable of much if you just saw him out and about, but when he’s in his element, NO ONE doubts his strength
3. EVERY ZELDA IS TALLER THAN EVERY LINK REAL. Personally I think Sky and Sun are like the same exact height from a distance, but if you look real close, she’s taller
4. The concept that Four is the only one who wouldn’t scream and absolutely loose it at the sight of a spider made me laugh. I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one
5. Legend vs. Child (chid won)
6. Hungarian Twilight is super cool! I really like that headcanon :)
7. Sky is FOR SURE the most passive aggressive because all the others would probably get at least a LITTLE snappy but Sky would whip out a customer service voice but there would be no light in his eyes
8. Wind absolutely asked for a face tattoo and Time definitely had to shut him down.
9. THE IDEA THAT TIME IS WALKING AROUND WITH LIKE 3 INCHES OF HEEL IN HIS BOOT IS HILARIOUS. I personally think he’s about 5’8 and roughly Malon’s height in Jojo’s au, but for my own interpretation of him He Is 5’5.
10. I have a headcanon that Wild’s eyes are more of a glowly sheika blue since he was brought back. I think there’s probably something slightly off about him that gives people and animals an uncanny sense about him, even though he’s very sweet and nice, something about him just feels odd
11. Four can always see the minish, I firmly believe that
12. WARRIORS IS THE FIELD MEDIC AND I’LL DIE ON THAT HILL. Sure the others know basic first aid and such, but Warriors has the most medical knowledge and training, though I like to think he teaches what he knows to Hyrule because Hyrule is curious
13. My personal headcanon is that Twilight is Time’s great grandson, but Time lived long enough to be able to meet his son’s daughter, who is Twilight’s mom. I like to think Twilight’s mom would’ve sung him songs she learned from Malon
14. Twilight is definitely one of the more cuddly members of the group, he’s definitely down for hugs you just gotta ask him first
15. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a headcanon that Wars is Ganondorf’s son but that’s cool! I headcanon that his father died in the army💀💀💀 He just gives me absent/dead father energy
16. I think Hylian folklores and myths are definitely wildly different throughout the eras, and it probably extended to the heroes as well! Like imagine an ‘Old Hylian Myth’ and it basically says that Sky is a giant or something and the others all meet this great hero of the skys and he’s 5’4
17. I can imagine Malon being like “Wild what are you making?” and he just goes “Monster parts stew :3”
I loved reading all of these! I hope you’re taking care of yourself as well :)

Hello! I just came across your blog not long ago, and i love your way of writting sm!
I have a request for the seven brothers from obey me ( the undateables too if you’re up to it!)
How they would react with mc who has a Prosthetic arm, mc hid it with gloves until they had enough trust in the boys to reveal it to them ( smth like that)
I would really appreciate if you could write this! 💕
Obey me Boys + s/o with prosthetic arm
Lucifer
Has no opinion on the prosthetic, but does feel a little hurt that they hid it from him.
Lucifer was under the impression that their relationship was built on trust.
He’s shown them some of the most intimate parts of himself, and they can’t share this with him? Like he would reject them for something like this sooner?
Tell them that he wishes they felt more comfortable to share this with him, and encourages them to not wear their concealing garments; if they feel comfortable.
Mammon
Shocked that he hadn’t noticed before and feels pretty dumb.
Mammon will be the first to admit to himself (but no one else) that he misses a lot of stuff, but he didn’t think he’d be so thick he’d miss this.
Takes it on the chin though when MC tells them that they shared this with him because they trust him. No one has ever really trusted him before.
“O…Of course. The Great Mammon’s got your back. You can trust me to keep your secret. Or not, ya know. Whatever you want.”
Levi
Probably the most….excited about it? But that seems like the wrong word.
Levi is obviously very influenced by anime, and there are a lot of one-armed/prosthetically enhanced characters throughout the genre.
Has a lot of questions about the prosthetic since he thinks it can shot laser beams, or has a secret compartment for charging consoles. Disappointed when it’s just an arm.
Asks it they can use this to their advantage for cosplay events.
Satan
Fascinated by it.
As mentioned in previous headcanons, Satan is very interested in anatomy and the medical field.
He would want to be discreet & respectful in his questions about their prosthetic, the manufacturer, and subsequently what causes it; if they are comfortable.
Pressures them the least to not wear their gloves or concealing garments anymore because he appreciates this may be important to them.
Asmo
Surprised and tries to be supportive.
Takes the ‘it’s ok’ ‘you’re still whole on the inside’ approach that people often do with disabilities, even if they don’t need that encouragement.
Tries to be materialistically supportive with new gloves for accessories or even offers some cloaking magic to cover it completely.
Obviously the most freaked out and uncomfortable.
Beel
Genuinely surprised he didn’t notice before, but Beel is aware he misses a lot of things.
Doesn’t really have an opinion. Though he is curious on how they properly lift things ‘one handed’. Can their prosthetic actually hold weight? Can they do bicep curls?
Now he’s very interested in developing a single arm work out routine. Even if MC doesn’t really want him to.
Holds a lot more of the bags, groceries, and other items they get when they go out because he doesn’t want them break anything.
Belphie
He always knew, but didn’t say anything about it.
Despite people thinking he’s not paying attention because he’s half asleep all the time, Belphie is very observant. He noticed the way their shoulder lend and that they would do most things with their other hand, anxious to move and complete a task before anyone could beat them to it.
Belphie has never had anyone trust or rely in him, being the youngest, so having MC confide in him makes him feel special.
Asks them to sleep on their other side or take it off when they nap together because he doesn’t like it when it poke him.
+Raphael
He’s grateful that they felt comfortable enough with him to tell him; it is a new experience for him. However, he doesn’t see the big deal.
Being of a warrior class of angels, Raphael has many comrades who have scars, permanent injuries, or missing limbs from battle. It’s a sign of their commitment to the fight.
Though MC’s story is probably not as dramatic as that, Raphael is still encouraging to their condition and doesn’t understand why they would try to hide it.
Oddly protective of MC after this new information. Maybe it’s because they can’t really afford to lose another limb? Or at least an arm…..No one really knows.

Concept cabin: Growing Garden Au
A little something @littlethingsrae and I have started developing, a what if scenario where two of my characters, Ming and Baí, are the older brothers of her golden girl Jin! ✨
The story goes a little some like this:
Once upon a time the lucky lilly maiden of the morning mist was brought two gifts:
The first was delivered to her by an owl, it was a white lilly in full bloom. However no matter what she did, no matter how much she would care for the plant, ever so slowly it would start to wilt away and die. But right as the last petal fell off was when something miraculous happened, from the remains of the flower, a frail and sickly baby was born.
Not long after was when her second gift was delivered, brought to her by a turtle, it was the simple seed of a lotus. After it was planted unlike the lilly it grew like a wild fire. Shortly blooming proudly and from it a second baby was born, this one healthy and strong.
And what became of these two after getting lovingly raised without trauma for once in their existence?
Yangwu Ming
Tumblr media
What is he like?
Ming is a highly energetic and friendly individual that is pretty much familiar with every being in the celestial realm. He has a natural curiosity for everything around him and a thirst to know more, that includes people. Don't take his overly trusting nature for naivety however, he is quite cunning and always knows more than he let's on.
He acts on impulsive and there is little that frightens him, making him a bit of a loose canon, his personal safety was always optional like when would leap onto the battle field to care for wounded celestial soldiers. No one questions his dedication to his job as a doctor and isn't surprised that he is a certified workaholic. Often biting off more than he can chew by himself his ambition is clear.
You can always catch him in a good mood possessing a contagious smile, his chipper almost childish demeanour being surprising for someone that deals with death and ugly wounds.
What's his role and overall standing in the heavenly bureaucracy?
He is a deity heavily involved in medicine so naturally he serves the court as the Head doctor of the medical wing. His main patients are the celestial warriors but anyone could and probably should visit him if health concerns were to arise.
In terms of status he would be considered something akin to a Duke, mainly because his family is pretty high in status in general but among his siblings he is actually ranked the lowest in terms of importance.
Notable relationships
Lianxiang: It's no surprise that he adored his mother, wanting her to rest easy and not have to worry about him ever he would force himself to grow up early and start taking care of her when he was still very young, even when she assured him that he didn't have to he insisted.
Jin: To say he was giddy when Jin was born woukd be an understatement- he was practically vibrating from excitement when he held her fir the first time! He would rival her in terms of energy and was able to go along with her schemes and cleverly turn them into something less...chaos causing.
Baí: Oh how he loved his darling little brother, the only thing he loved more than spoiling him was teasing him. There were times he treated Baí more like a son than a sibling. But to the public ming looked like the spoiled younger brother because of his childish behaviour.
Sanzuwu: The bond he shared with his grandfather was a close one, he would visit him whenever possible, talking his ear off with the grandest of stories to simply excitedly telling him how his day went. When Ming realized he would die soon Sanzuwu was the first he would break the news to.
Shui liu: She was more or less a regular patient for him, he was one of the few that treated her like a person, not a dangerous predator. In turn she was very protective over him.
Zhimming Niao: His sworn brother. When he was still a heavenly warrior Ming was probably one of the few celestials Niao would show any respect to, that was mainly because the boy showed him respect. Before his death he gifted his wing piece to him.
Lmk stuff
He actually doesn’t appear in the actual series, he is gone, passing away due to an unknown illness. Nobody really knows how something like that is even possible considering medicine was literally his thing.
However he would still be in jttw, being one of the deities assigned to protect Tang sanzang, this poor mortal already deals with so much the last thing they needed was him kicking the bucket because of the common cold-
Funfacts
As a child he would often 'create' shooting stars. And by that I mean he would kick a star like a soccer ball through the night sky-
He was hilariously blunt with his patients:
"Am I gonna die ?
"No, you aren't dying."
"You are paid to say this aren't you?"
"No,I'm not!:D"
He used to be a student of Lao tzu and was know to blow up his alchemy lab more than once-
Yangwu Baí
Tumblr media
What is he like?
Baí is known most for the calm smile that is always on his face no matter the situation. It makes him exceptionally hard to read and often leaves an air of mystery around him as he keeps to himself and only speaks when he has to. His movements have a level of grace and refinement that make him come off as royalty.
He is actually far from unapproachable however, if taken the time to get to know him it is clear that he is someone warm and caring ready to give others a shoulder to cry on or check in on them when they need it.
He also carries a mischievous nature, being a bit of a trickster that loves playing mostly harmless pranks on his loved ones and he always has an ear open for the latest gossip. The little god also loves his theatrics.
What's his role and overall standing in the heavenly bureaucracy?
He is the god of art, while that includes more traditional art forms like painting and music it also covers things one wouldn’t immediately think of like martial arts and war-
He mainly serves the court as an artist for hire however he’ll also find himself on and off the battlefield when something or someone threatens the heavenly host.
Between the three he would be placed right in the middle, his wide range of skills give him many areas of expertise that make him a useful Duke indeed.
Notable relationships
Lianxiang: An absolute mama's boy and it shows, Baí used to spent his youth glued to his mothers side. He'd often mimick her mannerisms or even way of speech in an attempt to be more like her. Needless to say that respect and admiration never went away.
Jin: His baby sister who he absolutely adores, when she was little he was one of the few able to keep her in line with little issue. Regardless he would often also encourage and join her in wreaking havoc.
Nowadays he is much less openly affectionate with her, but it's clear that he would give his life and freedom to his last remaining sibling in a heartbeat.
Ming: He always looked up to his elder brother, even if he found his impulsive behavior troublesome. He was still his rock, someone he could always rely on for everything without even saying a word. Making it hurt all the more when he was no longer there.
Sanzuwu: While he has respect for his elder and still loves him dearly he can't help but feel a bit of resentment towards him for not immediately telling the rest about his brothers condition, perhaps if he did then they may have been able to save him.
Nezha: The third lotus prince is his teacher when it comes to combat, the two of them are fairly close and have been through many battles together, he always enjoyed annoying him!♡
Mengtao: He sees her as a friend and can relate to her struggles when it comes to communicating with others. Another one who he enjoys messing with for fun he'll often scare her for kicks then turn around and guide her like a mentor.
Lmk stuff
He is still alive by the time the show begins and would most likely accompany Jin when she goes down to earth to unsure she doesn't cause any further mischief. *cough* the peach incident *cough* To be honest though by the way he just follows her around one would think he is her bodyguard not her brother.
He is still very much grieving about Ming and it shows, acting very distant towards the group with an air of melancholy constantly around him. He barely speaks however his actions are louder than any words that could come out of his mouth, any battle that the group may face he is the first to raise his weapon.
Funfacts
He has taken a vow of Chasity just to avoid marriage proposals, mainly because well he is aroace-
His family was honestly very aware of that fact considering he craved his wing pieces as one piece so obviously he couldn’t give it away without breaking it. This was basically just confirmation without him actually saying it out loud

Hi Tessa! I’d love to do the oc emoji ask about any of your ocs, but I’m bad at making choices… uhhh, I guess this is basically a wild card ask! Hit me with anything about any of your ocs!
OOH— dealer's choice, eh?
Oooh lemme see whooo... I've been updating a lot of my OCs lately behind the scenes, not just story-wise, but their actual designs too!
As a treat, I'll share with you some information on two characters— the two I've updated very recently!
Starting off with the big mystery woman of all DotS— Eave. Her full name is Eavantide Sol, and for readers new to DotS, she's been a big deal throughout my comics— and still is! A lot has changed with her behind the scenes, so I can freely reveal some big secrets about her. But don't worry.... there's plenty more mystery taking these secrets' place ;D Hehehehe!
So this is Eave!
Tumblr media
She's been in front of you guys this entire time, and has been my avatar for YEARS. She and her husband have been on my front page on DA for like 5-6 years now. Hidden in plain sight!
Some of my readers early on theorized that she's Meta Knight's ex-girlfriend! She is not. (In fact, DotS Meta has always been too shy and awkward to ask anyone out on a date LOL!).
Eave here is Meta Knight's sworn sister, one of his many surrogate siblings. She's his older sister, with the two having a 10-year difference between them, and they share the same birthday too! March 23rd!
It's quite obvious who else she's related to, but her ancestry runs quite deeply into the era of yore. Modernly she'd be 524 years old. She died 280 years ago, slain by a mysterious figure. However, her body was never recovered. Allegedly this is connected to a case she was deep into, one she found to be serious and genuinely threatening.
She was something of a spy for the Star Warriors after retiring from several decades of working as a field medic. Eave was most well-known for her miraculous healing powers and playful, yet sassy personality. She was loyally married to her husband, a certain Captain within the Star Warriors, for 20 years prior to her death.
Eave is survived by her only daughter, who is currently in the care of her beloved husband and his current wife.
Now for the second character....
This guy
Tumblr media
I've never shown him in color before because it's a dead giveaway as to who he's related to, but that's sort of the point now.
This guy has been haunting Town Town for the past decade or so, sometime after Nightmare's fall to Kirby. Locals are pretty worried about this figure because he dons the tattered remains of the late King Orpheus' armor.
Anyone who bears scarred armor of noble knights passed is someone to be quite alarmed by. Yet some of Meta Knight's warriors don't seem too bothered by this individual, since they have yet to do anything about him.
Then again, catching him is quite difficult! He's nimble, and according to rumors, an extremely skilled fighter. Some reports state that he carries around a large, sapphire blue sword on his back, and some local Dappermau say that dark matter taints his scent...
Yet he's never done any harm to Town. Locals are unsure what to feel about this strange individual. Some elders say he is a bad omen, others say that he is the spirit of the late Knight King Orpheus that has come to watch over the young puffs in Town just as he would in life.
But there are few... who say nothing. Hold their tongues when asked about Town's haunt.
Meta Knight is one of those few.

Okay, you must tell us about αβΩ au
I'm going to call it an atypical alpha/beta/omega take on what Middle-earth could be like if the Valar didn't bring the elves to Valinor/the elves refused to go. This all came about when someone did some art of Glorfindel, Erestor, and Elrond and mentioned that it was for an a/b/o au with minimal explanation. Of course, I and @nighttimepatrons went a little crazy over it.
What I've actually written so far is mostly focused on Celebrian, Gil-galad, and Elrond, who are all married and very happy. Celebrian is a princess of the Noldor and Sindar realms and travels gracefully from diplomatic meeting to minor crisis. Gil-galad is a merchant and low-level politician in Lindon working very hard to make sure he's never connected to the High Family (Finwe's family) because thoughts of somehow becoming king haunt his nightmares. Elrond's a healer raised by the nomadic Feanorians who has the unfortunate habit of complicating Gil-galad's life because the path to political upheaval is paved with good intentions (re: bringing Avari Glorfindel to Lindon and picture).
[breaking here because this is getting Long]
The core idea for the au is that Elrond went on an expedition with Pengolodh and others to document one of the few Avari tribes that's been untouched by the outside world since leaving Cuivienen, but the tribe lives within another realm that is very set on keeping them free of outside influences so the research group has to promise to not interact or let themselves be seen by anyone in the tribe. Well, as one might expect, this doesn't go as planned. A great beast of the wilds attacks the group but an Avari they'd been watching (Glorfindel) steps and saves them but is grievously wounded and will die unless they help him. Elrond, being Elrond, insists on doing what he can in the field and on smuggling him back to Lindon on one of Gil-galad's ships when it becomes clear the Avari will die without in-depth medical care.
Really, it's an excuse for me to yank Glorfindel out of his home and shove him into a new culture because I love him being an outsider among the Noldor. (I'm basic, what can I say?)
Nightie and I also think A Lot about Miriel/Indis/Finwe and Feanor :) (spoiler: Feanor gets mirked by some Men which inspires the first Manslaying)
Anyway, you might be wondering what any of this has to do with a/b/o. Well, in the 'modern realms' like the Noldor and Sindar, very little importance is put on if someone's an alpha (Celebrian), beta (Gil-galad), or omega (Elrond). Sure, sometimes someone could have hormonal things that make them act a bit different (re: Elrond's nesting habits), but it's no big deal. HOWEVER, the Avari tribe has Very Different feelings on the matter.
The tribe believes that an evil spirit or force causes elves to become alphas or omegas (they don't use those terms but whatever). There isn't much they can do if someone becomes an omega, but generally omegas can live a normal life but just lose control of their bodies sometimes. So, omegas can stay in the tribe but don't have much respect unless they dedicate themselves to healing and or soothsaying etc. Alphas, on the other hand, are considered violent and dangerous and are not allowed to stay with the tribe after reaching adulthood unless they go through a ritual to cast the evil spirit from them. This involves a moderate degree of mutilation and pain and is very unpleasant and sometimes people die during it.
Glorfindel's an alpha. He went through that ritual and is a very good warrior/hunter/protector for the tribe. He is very proud of his scars.
This makes things a bit awkward in Lindon, where everyone is horrified by this thing that he takes deep pride in.
Anyway, that's a lot and there's even more but I should probably stop (warm hug if you read all that).

Hello, sorry to bother you but can I ask a question about the warrior cats disability post you reblogged earlier? And I mean this in good faith, honestly, I want to understand.
I haven't read warrior cats, but just from what was described in the post, it sounds... realistic? Since not everyone bounces back from becoming disabled. For example, a coworker and I (in a labor intensive field) have the same injury to our knee. He, I guess you could say has responded "well" to his injury. He has a higher drive to push past pain, not let it limit what he can do, and is able to work as hard, or harder, than non-disabled coworkers, but he is still absolutely disabled. In his case, he often overworks himself and thus ends up having to take off several days to recover and is on a lot of pain medication, both Rx and self medicated. In the scenario presented in the post, he would def be able to stay in the warrior class. But I didn't respond well to my injury, and don't react well to pain. I fell into a deep deep depression that took almost 8 years to crawl out of. Doing the exact same tasks as he does, I work slower and more carefully, avoiding pain at all costs rather than pushing past/despite pain. I'm slower, not as effective. But I don't need to take time off or frequent breaks to recover, and though it takes a little longer, I do just as much work as he does at the end of the week when accounting for the time he takes to recover. I like to imagine that I've reacted to my injury well, but can't help feeling inadequate and worthless when compared to coworker. Especially on days that we work side by side and he's running quite literal circles around me. And remember, we have the exact same injury with very similar causes and only a few months time difference.
From what I understand of the culture of Warrior cats (which is admittedly very very little) I imagine I'd end up in a healer class as well, even if I wished I could be warrior class. I would give almost anything to work as fast, as effectively, as hard as coworker does. But I can't.
So I guess what I'm asking is, what am I missing from the narrative, as someone who hasn't read warrior cats, that makes a character, who has not returned to their former glory after an injury, a poor representation of disability? As the post stands on its own right now, it just feels like it's kicking disabled people when they're down for not acting like they're still fully abled. Like shaming a paralyzed person for not joining a sport.
I have to assume that it's just poorly worded for anyone outside the fandom, but it really does come of as... well... ableist. Which is what drove me to ask, since making assumptions of ableism is generally kinda shitty, and I am curious about the source material.
I hope I didn't come off aggressive or let my emotions on the subject get carried away here, genuinely sorry if it does come off rude. I promise am asking in good faith because I want to understand from a creative standpoint if the narrative actually handled it poorly, and how-so, to help myself and others potentially avoid making the same artistic mistakes.
Thank you for taking the time to read this wall of text, and again, so sorry for bothering you!
No no!! Not aggressive or rude or anything of the sort :D
I’ll be honest, I didn’t read the full text, but I got the gist of it so I’ll try to answer aptly ^^
The problem with Warriors isn’t that there isn’t disability representation - there is, it’s just. Awful. Why? Because almost every single disabled character, sans THREE, in a series that has thousands of named characters, is FORCED into a role they don’t want - or KILLED. Solely for being disabled, solely for being “different”.
It’s not that they necessarily chose that life for themselves, it’s that it was forced upon them, which is where so many fans (reasonably) draw issue with. Disabled characters are offered the bare minimum in Warriors canon. Either they’re essentially forced to become a doctor, with the trope of “the broken-bodied healing the able-bodied” (which personally unsettled me greatly), or they’re shipped off to the elder’s den, which is a place where cats retire due to old age and are cared for by their Clanmates, usually without ever having the chance to prove themselves, and display both their abilities and weaknesses. They’re just automatically shoved into this corner.
There was a Deaf character, once, in the decades-long span of this book series, that was told he would never become a warrior solely because of his deafness - and then was immediately killed off in a manner that was almost never used again as a device to kill a character.
There was a character who was hit by a car and, as a result, ended up losing the function of one of her back legs. Prior to this, she was training as any other young member of her society would. Immediately after? She became a doctor.
There was a character who became blind due to an outside force, and, despite being the equivalent of maybe a thirty-year-old, immediately retired to the elder’s den.
There was a born blind character who fought to train as a warrior, under a half-blind warrior. He was doing well in his training - until the in-universe religion came down to him and forced him to give up his dreams in order to become a doctor. Granted, his case was a little more complicated and intermingled with plot, but it still stands.
There was a character with anxiety who was a poor hunter, and was pressured to become a doctor because of his lack of skills.
There was a character who was paralyzed, and was dismissed as dead, or “better off dead”, by almost everyone around her - INCLUDING HER OWN FAMILY - except the blind character, who found kinship with her and fought tooth-and-nail to keep her alive and healthy.
And the thing is? These characters are CATS! Cats, who have been documented living alone in the wild with these sort of disabilities and thriving!! Which makes it all the more frustrating to see a narrative built around the appeal of cats, have them have this whole support system and community, and that community actively turn their backs on them.
It’s not about them choosing. It’s about them being forced. Not having any opportunity to grow, or learn, or allow others around them to do the same in regards to them. There’s no acceptance here. In universe, it seems like they’re just shoved into the shadows so the able bodied characters don’t have to look at them or think too hard about them, unless they’re healing their wounds.
The characters themselves are not the poor representation. It’s how the authors have handled them - by shoving them aside, to the shadows, to the dogs. It’s frustrating and disheartening.

@sealrock was very kind and tagged me in this challenge! i made one of these for vej relatively recently, so i decided to do it for tabur this time! i would say only a few of these are characters i took direct inspiration from for parts of tabur's personality, the others are more ones i look at and i'm like "yeah, you're tabur-coded." let's see, how about i tag... @allyennah @eleventhcircle @e-dragoons @pettyeti @duskmother and @ghastlyfantasy! get the template here if you want to do it!
i'll explain the connections (and include the source material) under the cut!
jing yuan from honkai: star rail: this guy is a bit too recent to be a direct inspiration to tabur's character, BUT oh my god. he perfectly encapsulates the way that tabur approaches problems as the warrior of light. tabur greatly prefers preventing an issue from arising to begin with rather than dealing with 'saving the day'. jing yuan's laidback nature also fits how tabur conducts herself when among friends, though she puts on a much more serious front to the public. dimitri alexandre blaiddyd from fire emblem: three houses: probably one of my biggest inspirations for tabur. they have a very princely, chivalrous nature that hides a lot of inner turmoil and darkness. tabur struggles very heavily with anger issues that they are usually able to keep under control, but when pushed far enough, tabur is very akin to dimitri post-timeskip. cynical, ruthless, pretty bloodthirsty. don't get tabur mad.
margaret nearl from arknights: nearl and tabur are both shining paragons of the paladin archetype (or, at least, tabur tries to be) and were both exiled from their family/homeland. the two of them both share a very strong sense of duty to protect others. nearl's eng va is also my headcanon for tabur's voice when they are fantasia'd to a more feminine appearance.
vash the stampede from trigun: mommy issues. no, in all seriousness, tabur and vash are very similar in the sense that both take the moral lessons taught to them by their mother to heart and use those lessons to build themselves a code of conduct that they try their absolute best to stick to no matter what happens to them. tabur is also incredibly self-sacrificing, much like vash, to the point where most of tabur's scars/injuries are from protecting others. palamedes sextus from the locked tomb series: okay, i've only finished gideon the ninth, but i'm pretty confident putting palamedes on here. tabur's keen intellect and their alchemical/medical knowledge put them in the same field as palamedes, along with their shared soft spot for romance. i think palamedes and tabur would be friends and nobody can convince me otherwise. cecil harvey from final fantasy iv: cecil is mainly on here because tabur and him have the opposite job progression. cecil started as a dark knight and became a paladin, tabur started as a paladin and became a dark knight (though they return to their paladin ways for endwalker).

Whumptober 2023 Day 8
Prompt: overcrowded ER
Victim: Warriors
Words: 1263
Notes: Trauma and time travel don't mix well.
Warriors struggled to get an adequate grip on the fallen soldier before him. The combination of mud and blood was making it hard to make any headway in retrieving the wounded. He sliced off the piece of fabric that had gotten stuck to a corpse and pulled the man up over his shoulders, like when Twilight carried goats on the ranch, or the younger heroes when they were being irritating little brothers.
He pressed forward, careful where he stepped, because between the muddy holes and the casualties, it was difficulty to keep his footing.
It was uncomfortably similar to the War of Eras, and he could feel the dissociation creeping into his mind as his sense of reality slowly frayed at the edges.
He shook it off in favor of adjusting his grip on the soldier, who was distressingly limp. Just a little farther to the medical tent…
He was glad to finally locate a nurse and drop the patient off with the professionals. Just because he had medical training, din't mean he was anywhere near qualified to handle this amount of, well, of everything.
He turned back towards the field, and shivered as a chill ran through his body. So many bodies…
He blinked and shook his head. No, he needed to focus. What had he been doing?
He glanced back at the tent. Oh, he was at the medical tent, that meant he needed to retrieve his fallen soldiers. Right. He needed to get out of his head.
He marched determinedly back into the field, wading through the mess and looking for anyone who didn't look dead enough to be actually dead or alive enough to be able to walk back themselves.
He had no idea how long he'd been retrieving soldiers, but after a while he just started leaving them next to the tent instead of inside the tent. There was no more room.
Not long after that, there weren't any soldiers left to bring back, so he decided to help retrieve the bodies for identification. He owed it to them. It was the least he could do, since he was the one who'd gotten them into this war in the first place.
The sun had set, and the moon was rising when he felt a hand on his arm and a young voice saying his name. He paused, leaving the body he was about to pick up and looked down at Wind's concerned voice with confusion.
Wind patted his arm. "Warriors?"
Warriors sighed, and turned to use his hands to sign. "Go to bed, kid. You don't need to see this."
"It's a little late for that," Wind pointed out. "Besides, it's dark out, we're both going to bed."
"You and Mask are going to bed, I'm going to finish cleaning up." Warriors bent down to grab the body.
The silence that followed was awkward, and Warriors let it be awkward. He was a soldier and he had a job. That job was currently to retrieve bodies for identification, not parent a teenager. Well, pre-teen, but he wasn't counting at this point.
"Wars?" Wind's voice sounded small.
Warriors let out a frustrated sigh and gestured for him to leave, his signs growing sharper and more precise. "Go to bed, Wind. I don't want to talk to you, or anyone unless until this job is done, got it?"
He felt a little bit guilty for snapping at his brother, but this was important and Wind knew it! He couldn't just leave his soldiers to suffer this. It was the one thing he could do to make up for the fact that it was his fault that there even was a war in the first place.
There was the soft squelch of a boot in mud, but Warriors didn't spare a glance. He knew Wind was leaving as he had told him to.
He got back to work and was in the process of digging a body out from a pile of mud and less pleasant things, when he heard someone approach. It probably was just someone else on retrieval duty, so he ignored it until he heard his name.
"Hey."
Wild's voice was uncharacteristically soft, and something about it just didn't seem <i>right,</i> but he couldn't pin down what was wrong. Or, no, maybe it wasn't Wild's voice that was the problem? Either way, something wasn't quite right and he wasn't sure what it was.
He tried to hide his confusion by working harder at his task, but then Wild just repeated his name, and, well, while Warriors was selectively mute, he wasn't deaf and he was pretty sure that ignoring Wild would have consequences that he didn't want. What those consequences would be, he had no idea, but it brought to mind the time that Mask had put a frog in his boots.
He missed Mask.
Why did he miss Mask?
Eh, thinking was too hard right now. That was a problem for later.
He blinked when he noticed a hand snapping in front of his face.
Wild shuffled in front of him, emphasizing his words with sign language. "Are you okay? Wind is worried."
Warriors glanced down at the body he'd been working at, then slowly put the leg he'd been holding back down. "I'm fine. I need to finish retrieving the bodies for identification."
Wild briefly looked at the body and then back at him. "They're not going anywhere. You need to sleep, you've been working for hours. Did you even eat?"
Warriors' memory was currently a little fuzzy, so he wasn't completely sure, but he also didn't remember specifically putting food in his mouth.
He refocused on his brother when he had the realization that Wild was looking at him like something was wrong. He raised his hands questioningly to sign, but noticed that they were shaking and it was enough to distract him from whatever he was about to say.
Wild snapped his fingers to get his attention again. "Captain, you're going back to camp."
Warriors' expression of dismay must have shown through despite the muggy, distant feeling that had taken over his head. Wait, when had that happened? He should probably be worried about that, right?
"Captain. Did you hear that? Your orders are to head back to camp and rest."
Warriors blinked a few times and then nodded reluctantly, offering up a salute.
"Good. First thing in the morning I want you to report to the behavioral health officer. Is that clear?"
He really couldn't make it much clearer. Warriors didn't understand why he was being given these orders, but he'd learned long ago not to question his superiors and Wild outranked him. He was just a captain, royal guards were a completely different level, and while technically they were in different hierarchies of power, he still didn't have the authority to say no to the princess' personal knight.
Wild stood there, hands behind his back, as if waiting for something. Warriors looked back forth between him and the body a few times before he figured it out.
Oh. He was supposed to escort him back to the camp. Made sense to him.
The walk back to camp wasn't fun. The thick sense of wrongness settled into his bones, and everything seemed blurry around the edges. He still couldn't figure out what was different about everything, but the exhaustion was setting in, and the harder he thought about it, the more his head hurt.
Oh well, he'd figure it out in the morning. For now he just had to follow orders.

ok i need to know about DraGOn AgE!?!?!?!?!? lol -merrybandofmurderers
LOL it is, shockingly, my WIP for Dragon Age Origins. I have 3 canon Wardens, so theoretically it was gonna be a big grand thing about how my Wardens came together, how they got together with their LIs during their adventure. Sort of petered out once I got to game plot lol
Anyway, here's a snippet:
“I swear to the Maker, I can’t leave any of you alone for five minutes!” Keiran cried, sparks forming at the tips of his fingers as he raged. Roenna, Aineislis, Leliana, and Alistair had gone out looking for supplies as they camped outside Redcliffe, and not only had they apparently started a brawl in the road, but Roenna was currently begging him to aid their attacker. Roenna flinched, but didn’t back down immediately, “Please, Keiran, he needs our help! And Aineislis says we shouldn’t move him or we’ll just hurt him worse!” “Didn’t you just say he tried to kill you!?” “Well, uhm, yes, he did… but he’s actually really nice, he was talking to us-” “What is the matter with you people!?” he yelled, but he was already grabbing his medical kit and staff, “Ugh fine! Let’s go.” It didn’t take more than fifteen minutes or so to find the rest of the crew and the place of the skirmish. There were a half dozen bodies scattered around the path, all of them very much dead. But there was a small crowd in the middle of the field, huddled relatively close. They spoke quietly, but he swore he heard laughter from them. “Guys! I got Keiran!” Roenna cried as she sprinted the remaining yards to them. Alistair immediately pushed himself up off the ground and hugged her, pressing a kiss to her hair. Disgusting. Aineislis turned to face him, too, revealing a third elf on the ground, his head resting in Leliana’s lap, a hand on his side, smiling widely. Keiran stopped dead in his tracks. There was an arrow through his thigh - no doubt the work of their master archer - and his left shoulder was popped out and underneath him. But the wounds weren’t what stopped him.
Spoilers: it's because he's hot.
Aineislis Tabris is an archer, Roenna Cousland is a warrior, and Kieran Surana is a mage.

Wind overheard him say, “At least he did not open the cases, try to do all the work and present you both with all the business ready to sign!”
Midnight chuckled, “That was only two centuries ago! The Baron Thurwood incident!”
Tia added, “Right. Remember Thurwood's defense? Mere mares obviously could not handle Vital Affairs of State!”
They settled down and began to play again.
With the fair beginning the next morning, they called a stop early.
After a good breakfast, Hanar invited Wind to help her in her booth, selling her fabrics. She entreated, “I know that you promised to help watch over the Sky Dancers, Wind. I set my booth so that you can see their crowds. I could really use the help.”
Wind was able to watch the crowds that came and went as the Sky Dancers did their first two sets. She kept hearing ponies commenting on her unusual appearance and supposed prowess. “I think that they made up that story. I mean, look at it. Only one foreleg and it stands up on its hind legs. How strong or fast could it be?”
She was laying out one of Hanar's satins on the measuring table when she noticed the near transparent glow of a unicorn trying to keep his magic stealthy! Her leap out of the booth passed over one of the ponies disparaging her abilities! She hit at a flat out run for the stallion, dodging or leaping over any pony in her way!
She jumped to his back and grabbed his horn, claws out! She raked down to his forelock and lunged for his muzzle! She grabbed and pulled his head about!
He collapsed under her, landing on his side, kicking feebly! Wind jumped free as he fell and yelled, “Medic!”
Black Lotus came charging out of the dancing pavilion that she shared with her mother! She had her field medical case carried in her magic. To the surprise of the onlookers, she skidded to a stop and took Wind into her magic!
In tones both desperate and worried, she called, “Warrior! Are you safe? Is the Rage under control?”
Wind, actually shaking from fear that she had seriously injured the pony, replied, “I am OK. It is under control for now. See to the pony.”
Black Lotus set her down and let her magic suffuse into the neck of the fallen unicorn. In a relieved tone, she said, “Just a sprain that is putting some pressure on his spinal cord. I have pushed the bones back into position. Could you please pull gently on his head? There, that is just right. The pressure is off entirely now.”
At that point, a blue uniformed Royal Road Police pony came cantering up. He obviously recognized Black Lotus because he asked her, “What has happened here, Mam?”
She gestured at the fallen unicorn. “You heard about the double murder of the Sky Dancers, last fall? This fellow just tried to murder their children on the morning of their first public performance. He was watching them and trying to gather stealth magic.
“Warrior Wind was helping in the fabric booth of Hanar Na Kili when she saw it happening. She ran through the crowd and jumped to his back. She raked his horn badly enough that he will need magical pathway surgery to be able to use magic again. She pulled his head around and he collapsed.
“His neck got a fairly bad sprain that temporarily paralyzed him. Between Warrior Wind's help and my magic the sprain has been fixed. He should regain mobility in about a half hour to an hour.”
The Royal Road Policepony turned to Wind. “You got from over there to here in time to stop him? Impressive. If you had already raked his horn, why did you twist his head?”
Wind shrugged. “I am not from a place where there are any unicorns. I never had to disable one before. I did not know for sure that his magic was disabled, so I turned his head, trying to spoil his aim.”
The RRP cop was adding to his notes. “I see. In the excitement, you pulled hard enough to sprain his neck?”
Wind shrugged diffidently, “I was just trying to shift his aim, so I didn't try to pull hard.”
Black Lotus interjected, “She does not look it, but when Wind was allowed her harness for Pulling, after her physical battle wounds were healed, she proved to be stronger than any horse of our band.”
“I get it. Spraining his neck WAS a gentle pull. Let's get this jerk to the RRP tent and forwarded to the jail.”
As Wind made her way back to Hanar's booth, fair goers parted for her like magic! Many had seen her sprint and take down of a unicorn. The quiet buzz that she overheard was no longer filled with doubts. Especially the bullies among them wanted nothing to do with a creature that could fight like that!
As the day passed towards lunch, Hanar offered, “Wind, I could go to the camp and bring lunch for both of us. If you wanted, we could both eat here.”
Wind looked up from counting coins for a length of lace trim. “That would be good, Hanar. What about our customers, though? How will they react to my eating meats?”
Hanar wrinkled her nose playfully, “Oh, the scent? I will bring you some of those pasties that don't drip. They don't have much odor, either. If I hurry, there will still be some of the blackberry pie to split.”
“Blackberry Pie? What are you waiting for? Sunset? Food! Food! Go get it!”
Snickering, Hanar got.
Lunch, when Hanar returned, was actually excellent. Besides the pastie, which was a lovely trout one, she brought Wind another bread bowl filled with scrambled eggs and cheese. And of course, a big container of the Rom black tea, along with two mugs for it. The blackberry pie was the perfect topper for the meal.
Down the way, far more respectful audiences were watching the Sky Dancers. There was still some quiet buzz about Wind's recent take down of a unicorn.
She and Hanar had several customers who, more than the cloth, wanted to see how a creature like Wind, standing on hind legs and with only one foreleg could handle bolts of cloth and accurately measure them. The dexterity of her hand and how well she managed without any apparent magic was a source of constant curiosity and wonder.
Overall, the fair was going quietly. The music of the Rom was everywhere. There were buskers out. Most of the Rom foals had a blanket spread out and played their favorite instruments, often in groups of four, with three playing one of the several types of lyre, the Rom's cleverly made drums and usually a flute singing over the rhythm and strings. The last one of the group would be doing one of the Rom's many dances to the tune played by the others.
Rose was busy selling her many clever and beautifully made boxes. Her husband, Myest, was selling some beautifully made but extremely functional forged iron work. Besides kitchen knife and tool sets, he had fine harness fittings, blades for scythes, wood carving chisels and many other useful things.
Across the midway from Hanar, was the booth being run by Tia and Midnight. Midnight's Munchies, the banner proclaimed! The long lines told better than any crier that the booth's fine fried and baked treats were worth more than the mere copper and silver charged for them!
In fact, the scent, wafting across the way was making both Wind and Hanar hungry! Again.
Wind observed, as she sheared a length of fabric for a customer, “Aside from that one jerk earlier today, I have not seen any ponies that are even rude.”
Hanar smiled as she made change for the cloth, “Most ponies are actually quite nice. The ones that we mostly have any problem with are the ones who run the towns. Becoming officials seems to select for the ruder and meaner ones. I am not sure why that is.”
Wind grinned back, “They have to stuff their shirts with something! Egos full of hot air sound like just the ticket!”
There came the drumming of small hooves on the run, coming from the foal's play yard. A colt charged by, a filly's bonnet in his jaws! Behind him was a filly calling out, “Give me back my bonnet, Charley!”
Wind leaped past the counting board and had the colt by the neck, pulling him to a stop! She said softly, “Yes, Charley. Give her back her bonnet.”
The filly yelled, “He's my brother! Don't hurt him!”
Wind looked up mildly, “I haven't hurt him, just stopped him.”
She took the bonnet from the shivering colt and handed it back to the filly. The filly looked at her bonnet and cried, “You ruined my nice new bonnet, Charley! It has your big old teeth dents in the brim! How am I going to save up enough to buy another one before Hearthwarming?”
Wind looked at the bonnet and was reminded of how clever Rose was with her hoof magic.
Charlie looked down and scraped the sod with his hoof in an ashamed way. “I didn't mean to ruin your bonnet, Sarie. I was just messing with you. You can have my allowance if it will help. I got eight bits, most of a silver. Won't have nothing left for the fair, but I owes you.”
Wind made up her mind. “You both come with me. Might be able to fix this. Don't know for sure but it never hurts to ask.”
They found Rose, in her booth, but proudly watching the latest Sky Dance. When the Dancers alighted from their last set, Wind showed Rose the damaged bonnet.
“Charley was just playing around and did not think. He grabbed his sister's new bonnet and ran off. When he did, it caused these tooth marks in the rim of it.” Winking and making a sort of pass with her hand, she added, “I thought that you might have a smoothing iron in the back. Don't know if you can, but could you maybe fix Sarie's bonnet?”
Rose nodded thoughtfully. “I am not sure if any of my smoothing irons will work but I will look to see, Wind. Watch my booth while I am in the back, please.”
Wind settled herself behind the sales board, inviting the youngsters to sit in the shade of Rose's awning.
Charley offered, “I hopes that she can fix Sarie's bonnet. I know that my eight coppers ain't enough to buy her a new one but I owes her.”
Wind nodded agreement. “You do, Charley. Glad to see that you know it, too. You are a good credit to the ponies that raised you.”
A quiet voice joined the conversation, “Glad to hear that. Don't really hear it often enough. My son's a good colt, but sometimes impulsive.”
Wind looked up at the butter yellow earth pony with a neatly roached mane of light red. She smiled and offered, “Show me a youngster that isn't and I will show you a colt that's not worth much. Charley has offered all that he has to fix Sarie's new bonnet that he damaged. I hope that Rose has a smoothing iron to fit and that she can do it for free.”

Dragon Ball Super 106
Tumblr media
The time has come!  The moment has arrived.  This episode-- Dr. Rota busts loose!
Tumblr media
All right, so fuck everything else.  It’s ROTA TIME.  ROTAMANIA is about to sweep the multiverse!  Hit his theme music!
youtube
So let me explain, while we rock out to “Great Expectations”.
Tumblr media
I hate the team Champa fielded for the Destroyer Tournament about 70 episodes back.  They were cheap, and some of them were just warmed over copies of pre-existing characters.  So when the Tournament of Power was announced, I was worried-- correctly-- that Champa would just use the same five guys all over again.  But the ToP requires a team of ten, which meant Champa would have to find five more fighters.  I had a lot of hope for those other five warriors, and fortunately, Universe 6 did not disappoint.  Caulifla and Kale were way cooler than Cabba, and Saonel and Pirina will get their time to shine soon enough.  And as for the tenth fighter...
Tumblr media
Hell yeah, it’s a red warthog dressed in a spooky druid robe.  His name: DOCTOR ROTA.  Fuck yes.  What kind of crazy-ass powers does he have?  What sort of mind-blowing, game-changing abilities does this guy bring to the table?  Rota may not be a medical doctor, but he is the cure for the first five guy on his team.  Where they were boring and weak, he’s completely unlike everything else Universe 7 has.
And now.  Now.  Dr. Rota is going to strut his stuff.  I like Piccolo and Gohan, but let’s face it.  They’re in the wrong place at the wrong time!  Because now, Rota is going to show us exactly why he’s called Doctor.
Tumblr media
Wait, what?
Tumblr media
Oh fuck, he’s been shot!
Tumblr media
Also, in the dub, he cries out “How can this beeeeee!” which is how I learned he was voiced by the guy who plays Invader Zim.   Classic.  Total Classic.
Tumblr media
So is Dr. Rota dead?  No.  Piccolo quickly reasons that someone is playing sniper, and if they kill their targets, they’ll be disqualified on the spot.
Tumblr media
As they rush to find cover and flush out the shooter, Piccolo and Gohan discover a crystal orb, which Piccolo suspects is the shooters way of tracking them down.
Tumblr media
Turns out this dude has been spitting them out all over the place.
Tumblr media
Also, the orbs do help him locate his targets, but not by sight.  Instead, this guy does it by heat signature.  That’s a problem, becuase Gohan and Piccolo can suppress their ki and stay out of sight, but they can’t hide their body heat.
Tumblr media
But they can shoot at the rubble around them, which creates hot spots that confuse the sniper.
Tumblr media
But the sniper just starts aiming in multiple angles.  Now, while this is going on, Tien, Goku, and Vegeta have also become aware of the sniper, and while Piccolo and Gohan can’t spot him, their group does.  Goku also notices that the guy with the orbs is only directing the energy beams to their targets.  The beams themselves are coming from some other guy.  He shoots at this dude, and he redirects the power and sends it to his orbs.
Tumblr media
So while Tien goes chasing after the energy beam guy, Goku and Vegeta take the fight to the guy with the orbs.  Unfortunately, when they shoot ki blasts at him...
Tumblr media
He just absorbs their energy and shoots it right back at them.  This guy is Prum, by the way.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Tien splits into four bodies to help him track down Prum’s partner, Harmira.  Harmira may not have the same precision aim as his partner, but his energy beams are dangerous, and he keeps jumping from place to place, so he’s hard to find, and Tien will be coming right at him.  So the four bodies will give him twelve eyes to search, and hopefully make it harder for Harmira to stop him.
Tumblr media
Back at Prum’s location, Vegeta has figured out that if he can’t shoot energy blasts at Prum, then he cand just throw crap at him instead.
Tumblr media
With no offensive capabilities of his own, Prum can only run and hide, and call out in vain to his partner, who’s got troubles of his own.
Tumblr media
Harmira manages to fell three Tien bodies, but the fourth finally catches up to him and disables his arms with a Ki Ko Ho.  Harmira says that he can’t even raise his arms to shoot anymore...
Tumblr media
But that’s okay, because he can still shoot the stage beneath him, and collapse the part Tien’s standing on.  Whoops.
Tumblr media
Harmira gloats as Tien falls, and Piccolo reminds Gohan that this is exactly why you shouldn’t let your guard down.  But he’s not talking about Tien.  He’s talking about Harmira.
Tumblr media
Because Tien’s other three bodies have caught up to him, and they drag him over the edge as well, so Tien and Harmira both get eliminated together.  I’m kind of curious what would happen if Tien had just pushed him over the side, though.  Like, if one of Tien’s bodies falls out and the other three stay in the ring, is he eliminated or not?
Tumblr media
So with Harmira out of the game, Prum is doomed.  Goku and Vegeta prepare to throw him out, but then--!
Tumblr media
That’s right, bitches!   DR. ROTA IS BACK!  Did you think a meager ki blast would be enough to stop the great Dr. Rota?   Hell no!  He’s here with a prescription for revenge!
Tumblr media
Now, at long last, the time has finally come for Dr. Rota to reveal his true power, the reason he is called “doctor”!  And Prum shall feel the full fury of--
Tumblr media
... and Vegeta eliminated them both.  Aw...
Anyway, the moral of the story is that we need Dr. Rota as a playable character in Budokai Tenkaichi 4, so he can team up with Ribrianne to form a Vegeta Revenge Squad.   Book it!

I am waking up this morning in the same way I laid down to bed last night: Praying for Damar Hamlin.
Tumblr media
Admittedly, I was busy with some computer work last night that the game was not as high of a priority to me to watch. So, of course, I didn't see what happened initially when he collapsed on the football field in Cincinnati. It was only after curiosity got me to the ESPN website minutes later to see that the game was on hold because of this incident.
Like most of you probably did the same thing, my work was set aside as I became glued to the situation at Paycor Stadium, anxiously awaiting and praying for the health and well-being of the stricken Bills safety.
As the events unfolded on ESPN, most of the commentators and sports anchors were trying so hard to find the words to say. Heck, it’s not often that you come to a football game to see something like this happen and you have to set aside your sports commentary schtick and transform into someone like the late, great news anchor Walter Cronkite. I bet all of us, the television personalities included, were in complete shock over what happened to the point where we just had nothing in our vocabulary to describe it.
What struck me, though, were a couple of things that were being said on live television from ESPN NFL analyst--and former NFL safety--Ryan Clark. After going through a serious medical emergency on the football field himself in 2007, Clark provided a clear understanding that we were dealing with the life of a human being and not of a football player. On SportsCenter last night, Clark remarked:  “This is about Damar Hamlin. It was about a young man at 24-year-old living his dream…and now he fights for his life.”
He also made the courageous decision to openly discuss the power of prayer as he had mentioned his own mother was a prayer warrior herself especially during his playing days in the NFL. In a day and age where most mainstream television networks consider the idea of God to be an afterthought, it was clear that most of the television commentators had come to the realization that only God Himself was in control of the situation and that He is ultimately the one to bring healing to Damar Hamlin.
Though some people are still trying to figure out how this game suspension is going to figure in terms of the impending conclusion of the current NFL season, in my own convictions, I think all other football-related matters should be put on hold for now...especially regarding the status of this game--and the season--until we can be assured of the well-being of Damar Hamlin. The game isn’t important right now. A life hangs in the balance. As he remains in critical condition at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, may we all continue to pray for him...as well as be praying for his family, his Buffalo teammates and the rest of the NFL brotherhood.
Thanks for listening...and for praying, Chris

The days I've spent patching up every orc on the field who was still breathing out numbers the days I spent learning everything about healing magic, about medical practices, about sanitation. I had nursed more orcan warlords back to health that the Lord of these lands knew existed.
I know all of them by name. I write them and they sometimes send a young orc to train with me so they might have someone with kind hands as mine. It makes smile when I have a gaggle of orcs following me and listening to me sing softly of what I'm doing.
"Thread my needles with this twine, clean and dry. Wash the flesh with this towel made of rye. Help heal this patient of mine. Cuts and lacerations sewn. Now we send them right back home." (To the tune of twinkle twinkle little star)
The little songs short and always to the same tune. Easier to remember for me.
The surgeries are always harder because things like reatacting limbs requires some necomancy to make the two fleshes heal right. I don't like having other watch my surgeries because my blade work has always been sloppier. I stay with the orcs I heal, many of them so thankful they offer to make me an honorary member of their families. I have never turned one down because they have always told me when and where they had any big battles planned.
I carry on helping every orc I can find on battle fields for many, many years. I have taught generations. My hair is greying and my joints don't work as well as they used to, my magic helps agument my mobility issues some.
I have to start turning away new apprentices, but I do ask if they can send the older ones back so I can teach them why my surgeries never failed.
All of my students come back and I teach them using a hog all the techniques to stave off all sorts of issues with minor necomancy. The kind that lay folk don't notice is necomancy. They get more restless when I explain that I was a necromancer before I was a field surgeon. My cuts where always meant to be sloppier because adding my own blood meant I could help my patients by giving them healing internally.
One of the burlier orcs cut in that that made me their blood brothers. I smile and say that I already knew of the custom. While it could be much worse, I have such a large family now that I know my final days will be so joyous I'm not sad to have to go.
"Every one who I have done this with knows. I told them I was doing it and why. Not one turned me down because at death's door would you rather knock for him or have the medic use everything he has to make sure you get back home.
I've been told before that to die of disease or infection is seen as very weak for cheifs and warlords and warriors. I offered them not just a chance at keeping their limbs, but a much, much higher chance to not die to infections or rejections if I got the wrong limb."
I know that feel wrong for doing this but for me. Saving their lives meant more than going to die in battle with them. Besides an army or orcs is much more terrifying once they all unite under one banner. It would take a quite a while. But only four or five cheifs had refused becoming my bloodkin. They lived just fine and everytime I healed them I made sure to be extra careful as to not mix our blood.
There have come days when they would call on me and I would respond to both sides, the non-orcs very displeased that I would think of helping them. A couple of the field surgeons impressed when I would walk over to the seeming largest orc on the field with no fear. The two of us laughing and the orcs helped me set up my equipment and some of them sang songs with me and helped do the work.
It only took 50 years for my number to be pulled a Lord decided he didn't like that I helped everyone on the field and that would have to stop. I asked him for three months to say goodbye to everyone then I would appear at his gates for whatever he say fit for my "crimes against his people".
I wrote to everyone I knew and sent as many messangers as I could. My family would want to know. My orcish grandmother the first to show up. She towered a good head or two over me and I was a half a head taller than the humans I worked with, just enough blood to not look orcish, but plenty to know my place in every tribe.
Within the first week I had three different confirmations of cheifs packing up with all my bloodkin from their tribe and moving out.
Within a month I had half of my siblings with me. Almost half a thousand orcs just off in one camp. There were already 10 more from this week alone.
The second month rolled around and me and all the chiefs and warlords talked strategies against the lord. It only took me three days to break them all into talking with each other. Once they did many of them slit their palms and shook, many of them laughing and looking at me with softness in their eyes.
Finally the largest of the chiefs came of the full moon. Ul'grakk. He was something to behold, 10 feet of solid muscle and enough barely contained civility to topple a king. Once he saw all the meeting he clapped me on the back and thanked me for doing what he had been trying to do for most of his time as cheif. I had helped most of the cheifs find common ground.
His voice clear and concise, "My fellow orcs! We are all finally starting under one banner. Not for glory! Nor for fame or food! Legendary tests haven't brought us together! But a single healer who is two generations from us! Belladonna! I formally announce to every one that may hear it: WE ARE BROTHERS IN BLOOD AND BATTLE!!" Everyone else rose to also tell 'we are brothers in blood and battle!!' then rounds of cheering.
That night, I left a hastily scribbled note that didn't get finished-- I made it look like I was grabbed by someone in the night. I left my tent a mess and headed off to Lord Yostel's castle.
He threw me in the dungeon to be dealt with when he felt like. I couldn't help but smile to myself, if only he knew what was about to really happen.
It only took two days. I heard orcish bellows as they all stormed the castle and took out whole walls. My family would sooner die than give me up to some stupid little human who couldn't listen to his aides telling him growing numbers of orcs where camped on his lands.
I could help but laugh as they all but tore the castle apart to find me. It only took an hour. And the one save me was my grandmother, tall and strong. Grandma Ul'grah. She handed me my childhood weapon and we went off to find us a head to mount on a pike.
A field surgeon in a fantasy world has performed life saving surgery on many an orc war band before, unwittingly becoming blood brothers with most of his patients. In his darkest days, his extended family comes to offer their hands.
