Shooty Gulfrag’s Shooty Gits
When WAAAGH! Ghrutak came to Nordainne, Imperial analysts came to surmise that Warlord Ghrutak da Mangla had united two ‘lesser’ warbands under his fungal fist - Speedboss Zardakka’s Evil Sunz SpeedWAAAGH!, and the clanking dreads and tanks of wily old Mekboss Urdwak Grimlag. It was of little surprise to anyone that the first orks to be encountered on the ground front were also the fastest, and Shoota Boy mobs such as this were plentiful, mounted in souped up Trukks and Trakks. Shooty Gulfrag’s mob was one of hundreds, its size limited only by the holds of the Trukks he could jam them into, and the drop troops of I Corps’ landings during Operation BUCKSHOT ran into red-clad greenskins in their thousands.
And it only took me 3 years to get a 10 man mob painted, too...

Facebreaka
Of all the skymobs under Kommodore Draznag Gitblitza’s command during WAAAGH! Ghrutak’s unwelcome intrusion into the Imperial reconquest of Nordainne, the fighta-bommers of Reapa Skwadron were among the most infamous. ‘Bommer’ Brukk and his Facebreaka came to particular renown, as his personal gaggle of flyboyz, ‘da Deffbringas’, were well known among their orkish brethren for their obsession with big bomms and proppa ‘splodey gubbins. Of course, Brukk and his wingboyz often required reminding that it’s a good idea to pull out of a dive at the end of it...
I’ve had this chap painted up for a while now, though the transfer decals are new! He represents the Ace Toofkraker / Big Burna in-game, because ground attack is the best attack.

Facebreaka II: Da Right ‘Un Dis Time
Given the inherent disorganisation within Ork mobs, it is of little surprise that Imperial lexarchivists are not necessarily correct in identifying hierarchy within greenskin vehicle units - after all, it’s hard to figure out which of them is the biggest an’ meanest when they’re all behind cockpit glass! Reapa Skwadron, however, was known for using white stripes to identify its Flybosses and Ace Boyz, by which metric we can now correctly identify this Fighta-Bommer as ‘Bommer’ Brukk’s Facebreaka. It is unclear which of the other members of Da Deffbringas his wingboy actually is - either Big Zogga or Gurdak’s Revenge - but the skull-and-crossbones marking on the nose suggests renown, perhaps having bombed something impressively in a most guffaw-inducing manner.
A mismatch of red panels is endemic to the vast majority of flyers in not only Da Deffbringas’ skymob or Reapa Skwadron, but the Air Horde as a whole. Most of their craft are patched together with bits taken from others of their kind, given that the number of targets bommed and number of bommers rammed into the ground on a sortie is usually the same...

Rootin’ Tootin’ Dakka Shootin’
Connoisseur of all things that make very loud noises and lob hot metal at things, Shooty Gulfrag has consistently carried the largest weapon he can physically lift while still being able to clobber gits with it, and only kommon Evil Sun decency (and a desire to keep bullying 'iz Boyz) has prevented him from grabbing a proper snazzgun and going fully Flash Git. Though Kustom Shootas may not be as fancy or as flashy as a mekboy's Kombi- jobs, Gulfrag is of the belief that sticking uvva bits onto 'iz shoota dat ain't more shootas will just get in the way of his enjoyment of the art of dakka, and that skorchas and rokkits are for "no-good fancy gitz 'oo ain't got a brain fer da klassiks".
Yes, kustom shootas are an Index-only option, and they're not as competitive as pure melee Nobz or kombi-skorchas. But they're cool and incredibly cheap, so who cares?
