Okay, I need to vent my frustrations of how disappointed I am I can't see H2$ with Darren (My parents even said if I could come up with a plan to do it for under $2,000, we could go. So I did, within an hour of the confirmation of Darren's three week stint. They lied.) So, to save you a long-winded session, all I have is a post which sums up my feelings quite accurately:

Klaine Drabble: The Singer Of The Song

caaaaan you please write a klaine drabble in which blaine bakes him cookies, just like he promised?

"Stop eating those," Blaine says, itching at his cheek with his wrist (his hands are covered in all kinds of ingredients) and Kurt knows he should stop, but just because he can, he throws one in the air and catches it perfectly in his mouth. Blaine gives him a lopsided smile and shakes his head. "Show off."

"I prefer talented," Kurt says.

"Well, you're that too," Blaine concedes, turning back to the oven and crouching down to peer through the frosted glass door. "You're also going to complain about love handles again if you keep snacking."

Kurt rolls his eyes. He complained about having love handles once and it was ages ago, back when the cookie baking tradition was in it's early days and it was eight times a year. All the extra fat in Kurt's diet (though it wasn't that much, Blaine assured him) made him worry and he could've sworn there was a layer of soft around his stomach that hadn't been there before. Blaine had quickly ridded him of the thought with kisses and exercise through sex, but Blaine still likes to bring it up every time Kurt dips his finger into the bowl or licks at the icing spoon (if there is one). Kurt thinks he does it just to see him huff - he always says it's adorable and Kurt always says it'll give him frown lines. Either way, it makes Kurt stop eating the chocolate chips.

"You'd still love me if I was fat though, right?"

Blaine stands back up and grins over his shoulder as he starts putting mixture onto the next tray. "Of course I would. Especially if it was because you ate too many of my cookies."

Kurt tilts his head and rests it on a fist. "They are exceptional cookies." And they really are. Blaine's a wonderful cook, better than Kurt when it comes to sweet things, and he uses the perfect mix of the main ingredients and the finest dark chocolate if he's making a mixed batch of plain and double fat (as Kurt calls them). They always brown well too and the dash of ginger he adds gives them a kick that Kurt loves and leaves him licking his lips for hours afterwards. Kurt fears the day he ever gets chubby, but it would be a nice way to go, through Blaine's baking.

"Exceptional cookies for an exceptional man," Blaine says, as sincere as he can be (which is very). Kurt feels his cheeks tint pink, even after all their time together, and just for a distraction, he grabs a chocolate chip and lets it melt on his tongue. Blaine misses it as he slips a tray into the oven and pulls another one out, on it six cookies freshly baked and lovingly made. Blaine slides them onto a plate, pokes them around a little and hisses when he almost burns his finger, pouting when Kurt giggles. "Don't make me revoke your cookie allowance," he says and Kurt snaps his mouth shut. He knows Blaine's lying, he'd never break a promise (not even a small one over baking cookies), but this is a tradition and once you've tasted Blaine's cooking, packaged confectioneries never taste the same.

Blaine sets the timer on the oven, adjusts the heat for a slower bake, and settles himself on the stool next to Kurt, the plate of cookies between them, still hot and oh so delicious looking. They smell fantastic too and Kurt settles his head on Blaine's shoulder as he picks one up, humming low and content as the biscuit crumbles perfectly and the chocolate tastes rich to his taste buds - another amazing batch.

The two eat in silence for a while, hands together atop Blaine's thigh and Kurt smiles as he finishes off his first cookie, licks his fingers and says, "Thank you."

Blaine kisses at his hair, squeezes his hand and says, "You're welcome. Always."

Kurt doesn't say that he meant thank you for everything, not just for cookies once a month, because Blaine knows he means more than he says. Blaine always knows and just as Kurt left something unsaid, something that Blaine hears in silence, Kurt understands that in a simple always Blaine is promising him the same things he did in high school. And Kurt, as he does every time Blaine promises him the world, believes him completely.
