Been keeping up with the Pokemon Teraleak shenanigans, huge fan of the funny water rabbit. Warabit? Walabit? Wallabit.

As you probably already know, The Pokemon Company suffered a massive leak, and a lot of beta content from Pokemon games has come to light, including a discarded water starter for Gen 3, called ワラビット (Wallabit/Warabitto). In this case, I decided to join in the fun, and make some art of this beta Poke, but accompanied by another discarded rabbit, Max the Rabbit, the beta of Sonic himself :D

I wanted to animate Respectless with Warabbit as Velvette, Mudkip as Zestial and Grovyle as Carmilla, but I can’t make animations that complex yet, so here’s a drawing of Warabbit disrespecting Grovyle.

Holy. Shit.

Early Gen III starters! The rabbit is called "Warabitto", Treecko keeps its final JP name "Kimori" and beta Torchic is called "Fiyoko" ("Achamo" in JP final.) "Warabbito" seems to be a combination of "water" and "rabbit" whilst "Fiyoko" is a play on "Hiyoko." Which means "Chick" in Japanese i.e "Fire Chick."

Here's my take on an evolution line for the beta Pokemon, "Warabbit", which I repurposed as a convergent species for Scorbunny.

-1st Stage: Pourbunny (ワラビット, Warabitto) - Water

-2nd Stage Evo: Rabuoy (ラビフロート, Rabifurōto) - Water

-3rd Stage Evo: Coastalace (スイカザキ, Suikazaki) - Water
