real loose idea. mayhap certain species of sentient animals of alamanni (ie proto-vennettes)+All of the predecessors of humanity (maybe ill just call them predecessors full stop. its got a fun loftiness to it) developed the ability to see the existence dragons corpse hanging in the sky and other bits of weirdness thru generations upon generations of annual hibernation. like that prolonged sleep+dream changes them just enough to peek into the space Between the waking+dreaming worlds or something
