i promise this is not Personally Directed At You op i justd. Ramble a lot. but. ok.

people have been worrying abt this since december 2021 when the First Teaser dropped and i just. i justd. i really cant help but think that if he wanted miles Dead he very much would have already long-since killed him by now, lol, y'know? mig is very Efficient as spider-man, and while he has very clearly been Upset enough to start actually duking it out w/ a 15y/o, his (apparently-retractable in this film) arm spikies are only out on one side, but seemingly not on the arm pinning miles, which would imply he's probably got a different motivation here beyond. just. being some Brute Animal That Kills Things, or whatever the hell folk seem to be assumin', after getting a good look at how he skitters around and has different powers than most of the other spideys and is also a visibly mexican man who doesn't have neat and easy black-and-white morals that can be fit right into a box at face value--

like. yeah, he doesn't have a no-kill rule--people looooove to harp on that--but that is bcuz Marvel 2099 is just. Like That, seriously, it was the 90s. momentarily setting his anger issues nd problems w/ impulse control aside for now, miguel In The Comics is pretty consistently way more bark than bite in trying 2 scare ppl off before he ever gets to that point. he's Venomous, y'know? hes a coward deep inside who Looks Scary and knows how to bluff just as much as he actually is able to back up his threats with a fuckin wicked punch if he thinks he absolutely has to.

if he Wanted Miles Dead, miles would just. Be Dead, already. like. he has him pinned. and apparently it even happens More Than Once, unless the trailers are only showing us One Very Long Scene, so he very much has multiple opportunities to Kill This Teenager. seriously i really honestly Do Not Think That Is What Will Be Going On In This Film-- but. y'know. anywho. this is Miles's Movie, lmao. all we can say for certain right now is that whatever it is that miles is Doing/Trying To Do, mig really doesn't want him doing it, for some reason.

I think he might actually be trying to kill Miles.
