Whoever this ‘Melina’ was she seemed to be deeply loved, all of the Nohrian nobles took to this exact same love and affection as if they had found something once deeply lost. So much so that she even got stern fatherly warnings from Garon when she got ‘to rowdy/ troublemaking’.   🎭

Van shifted nervously. “Yeah.. I suppose it is what i want… But how will i know they will accept me anyway?” He said as he once again looked over his new clothes. Who made these for him? Had she? He would have to thank whoever it was later. He wasn’t used to such clothes… But they weren’t as uncomfortable as he had expected them to be “what can I even do for this army?”

“Well... you’re already accepted,” the tactician said matter-of-factually. Daedra turned from where she laid out his clothing to give him a curious look.

“If Chrom and the rest weren’t fine with you joining, they wouldn’t let you stay. I admit Frederick might be... skeptical, but he’s like that to everyone he doesn’t know. He treated me the same... but he softens up- I promise.”

“Well... you’re in an army, so unfortunately there is fighting. I suppose if you were really uncomfortable doing so... I’m sure you’d be great on our scouting and foresting groups! You’d seem to know the woods better than most.”

Van ran over to Mark's stand. "Mark!! How have you and Lyn been? It has been some time since i last saw you both! Speakimg of, where is Lyn?" (Wanclerlust)

“Hey, Van I see you made it to this event as well!” Mark said greeting his friend with a hug. “Lyn and I are doing great, and yeah we need to meet up again, we both had a lot of fun when you came over last time. Lyn is actually practicing for her match, she joined the archery competition, and it should be starting sometime soon. Hey, while you’re here, do you need a map?”

Team Noble Shroud: Van!

“Good afternoon, everyone! It’s time for the finals of our Obstacle Course tournament! REBElations vs. Noble Shroud, and now Noble Shroud is up! First is their captain! You’ve met him, you know him, you hopefully love him, Van! LET’S GO!”

Big Red Balls: NAT 1 (50 seconds)

“Ouch! That was a pretty rough start! Van seems to have lost his energy from yesterday, slipping right off the first one and having a pretty hard crash into the water. I hope he didn’t land on his stomach there! He looks really disoriented, and that’s gonna cost him some time as he finally starts to get across.”

Sucker Punch: 10 (30 seconds)

“Just like yesterday Van’s taking assessing the punching wall, and looking for any sort of pattern. He’s being careful in his approach! A couple of near grazes, but Van manages to make it across alright without any falls!”

Shape Shifter: 5 (38 seconds)

“Van wants to conquer the Shape Shifter without hesitation like most of the rest of his team yesterday and he goes straight for the Triangle...ouch! He misses it and gets hit but...falls backward onto the trampoline platform? Well, at least it won’t take quite as much time to recover, but he’ll have to go back and start again. Van waits patiently for a couple of rotations, goes for the circle and...just barely safe!”

Trampoline Sweepers: 16 (22 seconds)

“Van’s rushing in on this one too, and that hasn’t worked too well so far- but what’s this? He jumps the first sweeper successfully! Here comes the second one though....Van jumps once, but doesn’t get forward just yet...another jump and he clears it! Now that was a decent recovery after those initial struggles!”

Fender Bender: 8 (32 seconds)

“He’s really being careful with this one, finally deciding he doesn’t want to take another fall. Woah, he almost fell off there, but it looks like it’s okay. With a little more patience and effort...almost there...and Van has made it across, though that did take a little while.”

The Blob: 2 (No Bonus)

“After the hits he took, Van looks too exhausted to give it a strong impact. I don’t think Hector even noticed that one right there, but I think Van’s earned a good rest.”

Total time: 172 seconds

“That wasn’t as good as yesterday, and Van really looks like he needs a break. I hope he’ll be alright. Maybe he was just worn out from yesterday, or maybe he didn’t get enough energy and practice in. Let’s hope the next runs are better for Noble Shroud.”

Van looked down at the fight. He found this world to be rather interesting. Between the fights, festivities, and how different the locals were, including their own beastkin. “Have you decided to participate in any of the activities milady?” Van didn’t know the customs but did wish to be courteous to the other.

Panne let out a sigh.

‘No. I did not see a point in it. I am already aware of the strength of the taguel, and I do not feel the need to demonstrate it to others.’

"So... I think i pieced everything together. Reflet accidentally murdered Anna. Now let me explain. Anna has been known to take pictures of individuals without permission. And its a sore spot for Reflet. Also Reflet has been irritable and has had a headache. My theory is that anna tried to take a picture of him and Henry in the hot springs, scaring Reflet, causing him to accidentally strike her in the back of the head. Henry then tried to cover for Reflet, and Reflet did the same. " (wanclerlus)

“Good morning, everyone! I hope you’re all as excited for this as I am! Now Team Lon’crew Lightning’s opponnents, Team Noble Shroud, are up! We’re starting off with the captain of Team Noble Shroud, the versatile warrior and wanderer, Van! Let’s hope his Wolfskin half keeps his senses sharp! He’s gonna need them running on all cylinders!”

Big Red Balls: 8 (32 seconds)

“Yikes! Van had a bit of a slip there! He loses his footing for a moment, but not enough to fall over, and he manages it to make it across without any falls, fortunately!” 

Sucker Punch: 15 (26 seconds)

“It looks like Van’s taking some time to assess the punches of the Hector-plastered punching wall and maybe trying to identify a pattern? Well, if there’s a pattern, it looks like he’s seen it, or at least has good reflexes! He’s making steady progress across the Sucker Punch! Woah, look out-! Aha! Van makes it out unscathed and a bit faster than the average too!”

Shape Shifter: 10 (30 seconds)

“It looks like Van is carefully considering which shape to dive through before he goes for it. I think he’s settled on the circle though. Here it comes, but he might not have enough momentum-! He just makes it! That was a close call there. Let’s hope the next one isn’t quite so much of a close call!”

Trampoline Sweepers: 11 (30 seconds)

"Van’s studying this one pretty clearly as well. It looks like he likes to take a very methodical approach to the obstacles. Let’s see if it helps him on this one too. He clears the first sweeper- oh no! It looks like the second one is headed right for him though! Van makes the jump out of its range in time, however, and it looks like he’s okay! He doesn’t gain much time off that after taking so much time to study it t though.”

Fender Bender: 10 (30 seconds)

“Van’s taking about the same amount of time to look at the Fender Bender too, it looks like. There is such thing as being too careful however, but he looks about ready to go for it! He’s making his run, being careful to keep his balance. He starts to sway on the last two fenders, but it looks like he just makes it before he falls over! This just leaves the large launch!”

The Blob: 6 (No Bonus)

“Well well, Van’s going straight into this one! It looks like he really wants to throw Hector! But it looks like he went a little too fast in this time. Hector barely budges, sliding off the blob more than anything.”

Total time: 148 seconds

“That wasn’t a bad run! If nothing else, it was about average, and considering how difficult these obstacles are, average is a lot more than average here!”

Mark and Lyn were riding back to their ger after dropping their son Rutger off in Pherae so he could study and train with his friends Roy and Lilina. They would have stayed with him, but even at his tender age he knew his parents needed some time to themselves so he told them to leave. Eventually they made it back home, but something felt off to Lyn.

“I smell something different.” She noted, looking at her surroundings. “And look, there are footprints leading into the ger.”

“You think someone raided us?” Mark asked.

“I think they might still be in here.” Lyn said pulling out her sword and slowly walking in. Mark followed behind as Lyn tracked the footsteps to their bedroom. She opened the flap to see someone rummaging through their wardrobe, someone they had met before. “You looking for something specific Van, or do you just like raiding peoples undergarments?”

“Van?” Mark questioned coming into the room as well. “Hey, nice to see you again.

Van ran to the other and began sniffing her. “You dont smell like you are from around here! What’s your name?” He asked her while on all fours, wagging his tail. He was definitely curious about her, and where they were.

                「♟♖♞」 The teal haired woman groaned before muttering, “not this again.” 

                             Running a frustrated hand through her hair, she glanced down at the -taguel?- beside her. “Would you believe me if I told you, this isn’t the first time someone has asked me that particular question, and for the life of me, I cannot answer it.”

                               Grasping her hair, she tapped at her head for a moment. “If this is anything like before, my name will come to me at a later point.” Lowering her arm to rest on her hip, she added. “I’m sorry for the minor setback and while I know it’s rude to not introduce oneself first, may I ask your name?”
