⚡ : What typically leads to inspiration for you when it comes to writing?

Just about anything, honestly? But for the vast majority of it, it's music and whatever game or book I'm into at the moment, three times as much if it's the source material for the verse I'm writing. It's rare that I can pick up Genshin or the Remake games and not walk away with some kind of inspiration or plot related thought by the end of my play session, and the light novels I'm reading now have sparked up a ton of it in regards to things like Sera's health and worldbuilding. Music often makes me sit and daydream out plots, too, so it brings its own form of inspiration - Heck, the Halcyon Era storyline/Sera's full backstory was inspired by a gorgeous mecha figure promoted in an email from one of the shops I buy Gundam model kits from, though I wasn't expecting the colorscheme and words 'Snow Phoenix' that inspired me to create to turn into the massive story it has!

Tl;dr? Never let me read or play games, I make things happen after. XD

💔 : What kinds of characters do you have the most trouble writing for?

The asshole, in your face, stuck up, only here to be a jerk types. The ones whose personality is "I'm here to be a problem and have nothing else going for me". I love a good antagonist and I have a few more blunt, serious, will fight you for fun muses (Leandros, Kalistratos, and Kagota over on @thundertide being primary examples of this XD), but I really struggle when their entire personality is abrasive jerk and they don't ever act like anything but, or they're just the scheming type constantly trying to cause issues - Even just a straight antagonist who would cause problems and smirk and leave is difficult for me to grasp, regardless of if they have more to their character or not? Like I could never write Rufus Shinra even though he's a pretty well rounded character 'cause I just can't get my head around that character, and it'll never not impress me others can and write him and characters like him so well. <3

I'm also not very good with writing canon characters. I have a handful, both on @shinrarisen and Thundertide, but unless they're characters like Kunsel or Cissnei, who have more open to interpretation storylines and big gaps to fill in, I end up feeling suffocated and struggling to match what canon gives. Basically, I didn't create them, so trying to match what the creator made gets hard because I can't just step into their mind and know everything about the character, if that makes sense? It's why the canons I do have end up being at least somewhat divergent in their portrayals - Because I love them and click with them enough to write them, but I don't feel like I do a straight, fully canon compliant take any kind of justice. ...Or I just don't agree with part of their story, looking at you old Yu-Gi-Oh multimuse of mine-

Both, but I will say the later requires heavy trust in my partner, and isn't really exactly a 'we ship now' and go. I have maybe three incredibly close friends I trust to skip the developmental phases in a ship and the ship still work out, but we have years of friendship and rp'ing partnership behind us for that to happen; this is seen best in my Genshin multimuse, where new characters get added and already have a ship tag - But to be fair, too, it's not exactly an insta-ship, either. While Kasa ( @honorisen ) and I jump into them pretty quick, what people don't see is the behind the scenes discussion on it, deciding if the muses even get along, letting them meet in short, one off things off-dash, let the muses flirt, really talking out how things worked out... We're jumping right into it and avoiding writing out the buildup (which gets usually drabbled or even a flashback thread much later on - It's avoided at the start but ends up happening eventually anyway to flesh out the characters and their relationship(s)), but we're still in heavy talks beforehand to make sure what we're really eager to do for a ship will even work, first - And if we actually like it when it's more than just a thought, even though our muses generally always just... Click.

For the most part, thought, I LOVE developing a ship! I love the buildup, I love the working things out and getting on the same page, the seeing if the muses get along, the figuring out of "how do we navigate this" - It's a big part of why even with close friends I can just skip into the ship with, we eventually come back and develop an entire story with them and even rp or drabble out those developmental stages. Sera and Zack had years of buildup even though their blogs were launched with their ship already in place, both on dash and off, but over on Thundertide and @yoroiis, Childe and Kagota swandived into a ship, yet we've gone back and worked out not only the developmental stages, but have a couple of ideas from those stages waiting in the wings to rp out and are constantly learning more about their backstory together, both as a ship and as old, childhood best friends.

I can't just 'okay, we ship now' with most partners - I can't even do it with you, Knight, OR with Kasa, even though you're both two of the three previously mentioned friends. I can launch blogs with ships in place, I can skip the developmental stages and go right into a ship when the muses click as well as we have - But I can't just cast it aside completely. Even when a ship is decided, we're still discussing how they met, how the ship happened, how they got where they are. We still go back and rp that out, or write it up. The development may be skipped in one verse, but it's very much present in another, and mimics the first regardless. In my personal opinion, ships that don't have any development, even discussed, feel shallow to me? And I mean that as in my muses and my ships and my experiences - Everyone else's varies and it may not feel that way to someone else, and that's totally awesome! <3 I'm glad other people can pick up two characters, tell them to kiss, and it works! But me personally... I can't. I have to have something, somewhere, and I have the best partners in the world who do the same. <3

Two could play thing taunting and teasing game, and if he wanted to insinuate she was a fish, then she’d take a jab towards his outfit and the boa over his shoulder! It wasn’t like it was the first time they’d been at each other’s throats before, and it wouldn’t be the last for sure - She was just sad this time Childe couldn’t join them for what came after. It was hard to not respect him for letting her go, after all.

Yes he does travel and yes he's gone to difficult and dangerous places for his work. However if push came to shove, he'd rather be in some inn or hotel. He hates traveling outdoors and would rather be in some cushy place. But hey that's work for ya xD you need to go where you're needed. Even if that means in the middle of the desert or at the edge of ocean.

While the man was boasting about some fabricated story (no doubt) he went off through the back exit for his escape. He was The Light of Kshahrewar for a good reason! His intelligence and skills came to him with ease, even while drunk!

…Only for him to regret it the following morning when he had forgotten he offered his services. In effort to engage people into pursuing education, little learning centers had been sprouting up in all different areas of Sumeru.

One of them happened to be given to him and another Kshahrewar alumni. They've both been chosen to spread the arts, specifically towards younger children as they had better people skills. But Kaveh was a man of his word. He would not skip out on his promise nor would he let the children know of his unfortunate habits.

Truthfully he had gotten drunk because he didn't feel he was worthy of such a precious job. To mold young minds in the arts seemed too big of a task for him. It was too late to regret or to back out. He was here, doing what he had to do. 

"Come join! It's never too early to get started in the arts!" Unfortunately for Kaveh he wasn't much of a salesman. Some people had signed up of course but not a huge amount. Many had walked away since he wasn't teaching architecture.

If you were teaching it I'd join in a heartbeat!

This is for children. But even as an adult you need the basics to understand the more advanced study.

Why couldn't people understand? You can't just become a world class anything without understanding the basics!

Asking Sera to cook is asking to lose your kitchen and stomach in one go. Full stop. XD She CAN'T cook, no matter how much she's taught to or tries, and worse? She can and will make something explode in the process of trying - And if she doesn't, well... You clearly don't value your stomach very much. Even if the kitchen is intact (and a little blackened from being cooked itself, if it doesn't explode that doesn't mean it's coming out unscathed; something is broken or burnt beyond repair), the end result in terms of food is... Not good. It's an odd color, clearly winking at you, bubbling oddly... At best it's burnt to a crisp, and whatever you find under the layers of burnt food is just more burnt. Asking Sera to cook is going to get someone begging you to save yourself!

On the flip side, though nobody is ever able to understand how, Sera's an amazing baker. While she can't make it translate into regular cooking, she's incredible at making muffins, cakes, cupcakes, bread... If it involved just full on baking, you can't go wrong asking Sera for help, and when she needs help, she'll just call on her older brother Thoma to give her a hand, or her in-laws! <3

That said, she doesn't have any specific kitchen disaster stories - Anything involving kitchens and cooking will do, though perhaps the worst times are when she's blown an actual hole in the wall from making the stove explode... She's forever sorry-

In fact, Thoma was trying as hard as he could to hide the grimace he felt coming on just from the thought of adding more spice to that tofu! It already looked heated enough to light half of Narukami Island on fire, let alone his mouth. Tofu was already an ingredient that soaked up whatever flavors and spices it touched as is was and if looks were anything-

Even his own pyro Vision wouldn't stand a chance with that dish! Thoma would just keep trying to dodge tasting it for as long as he could...even if he was a lightweight when it came to denying Ayato.

Would a cheeky grin here and now go over well? Probably not, but Childe wasn’t about to hide one when the sight of the other was a little amusing.

Honestly? I'm a sucker for actually building the world and the backstory to things, so for Sera specifically, I would love to explore her connection to certain things. Like... Why ice and snow? Why cherry blossoms? What draws her to the lifesprings in her FF7 verse? For Shayan... How do his genetics work? How deeply is he connected to SOLDIER, despite never being one, because of those genetics? How did Sera's family get to Snezhnaya and fit in there in her GI verse? Exploration into things like this is a big thing for me, and not only makes things make sense IC, but also helps me figure things out, too! <3

I would LOVE to someday be able to explore more of her phoenix history in threads too, but that's a tricky subject to approach given how much of it is sealed. Sera isn't aware of what lay under that 'frozen lake' within her and a distant, quiet part of her is hopefully it stays that way, but learning what prompted Aria to do that to begin with is something I would adore delving into someday. What split Aria and Aelius to the point they fell out of sync in their rebirth cycles? Just what is controlling the other side of the cycle, because it's not the phoenixes-? And if Sera were to find out she's a snow mythological bird... How would she handle it?

What gave rise to the phoenixes? How many are there, and where did they all go? How many still survive? Do they remain in their realm, or did they all join Aria and Aelius? What happened to their temples? Where are all the things that were built in their honor...?

There's a lot still being figured out, and an entire verse in the works in the background for the sake of exploring these questions, but there's so much I would LOVE to explore! That's honestly why the verse is incoming - I can explore how Aria is linked to Shiva in FF7 verse (which I would ALSO love to do! There's so much about the summons that could be explored, especially since it's heavily implied they were the gods of the planet back in the time of the ancients, and Aria has a heavy tie to Shiva! <3), but the more original lore... That takes a little more planning due to Sera's (and her brother's!) current state, even though I have a few answers and just... Just would LOVE an excuse to explore it in rp, where I can bounce things off partners and learn so much more than I ever can on my own! <3

Sera's scars, spread around the fronts of her shoulders and trailing some up towards the tops, are actually pretty ugly. For the most part, they're jagged and several have healed rather poorly, seeing some of the scars combine into one mess while others look like valleys surrounded by mountain ranges - Very few have properly healed, resembling something akin to cat scratches, a result of infection having set in after the injuries had been inflicted. Though it's hard to tell just how many are actually there due to the combining and overall difficulty of the healing process, there's at least 18 to 20 scars there, and Sera does her best to keep them covered up and hidden until the birth of her son, Shayan.

She's not about to tell anyone how she gained these scars, but those who know why she replies with a bright smile constantly tinged with sadness and pain are quick to change topics for her, or to come up with some kind of cover story in her stead, much to her constant thanks. They come from a dark point in her life she wishes to never discuss outside of those she trusts above all else, and if they were easy to ignore, she would.

...But unfortunately, life is rarely that kind. With the scars spread out, from either side of her neck out to the edges of her shoulders, they regularly cause issues for her when it comes to lifting her arms, using her bow, and even shrugging; any use of her shoulders past lifting her arms about halfway runs the risk of causing discomfort and even a bit of pain due to the skin being tight around the larger and uglier of the scars, and activities like drawing her bow cause aches without fail - Aches she has long since taught herself to ignore and put out of her mind. Those aware of these issues will receive a shrug when questioning her about it, if they notice any small flinches or sighs, and an excuse; She's not about to burden them with something she can't do anything about, and had leaned how to deal with them, either by icing them, a heat pack, or just taking some time to rest, the later of which is hard to do when the weather is poor and irritates all kinds of aches, not just her shoulders.

The primary reason why this is being counted as unimplemented is because it's new - Sera has always had these shoulder scars, and the reason behind them, which I won't go into here for a multitude of reasons, has not changed. What has changed, though, is how they look and how they've healed and affect her; reading about another character's scarring in another series (unrelated to anything I have on blog here, or on ANY of my blogs) has made me realize I didn't put enough thought into how her scars would have healed and present themselves now, especially given she received them around the age of 12, long before she was done growing, and they were infected due to her recovery and living conditions at the time. There was no possible way they were going to heal into essentially cat scratch looking scars and be perfectly fine given the conditions they were 'healing' under. i needed to rehaul their appearance and effect on Sera - And this was the result, so it won't be 'unimplemented' for too much longer, I just need to figure out how to word it in her carrd. <3

He's hard to read for sure. He acts nice but it feels there's a purpose to his words. Like he's trying to get something out of me or out of others. Ah well, as long as the drinks keep flowing I won't ask.

Listen I'm a history buff as I adore learning about what happened and how that shaped us as a society. And I know there is some people who take that to an extreme.

But I'd like to see the more happier times in history you know? Like the moon landing or when Reagan died.
