“Hi! You must be the new neighbor who just moved in across the street! At least...I’m assuming that’s what you’re doing out here with all these boxes...”

He's not actually going to say anything, he's just going to stride up to his best friend and pull her into a hug.
Alex just beams and hugs him back. “Hey you! Long time no see!”

Walter had heard about everything from Ashley already, and if there was nothing else that would make him abandon his work, it was knowing Helen was in pain, that she needed someone. He knocked on the door, giving her a chance to adjust to company before opening the door slowly. "Hello there, my wonderful fiancée. May I come in?"
She jumped slightly at the knock on the door, but smiled the best she could manage when Walter walked in. “Hello,” she murmured, “if you’re here to dote on me, you can forget about it. That sort of thing makes my teeth itch.”

◎ "Why did you have me abducted? How could the benefit possibly outweigh the cost it had?"
"It was that or stand by and watch you get killed, and I loved you too much to do that. The only thought more agonizing than me losing you was the thought of the world losing you. I couldn't let that happen."

Helen had been in her office far too long. Even Walter, who'd worked late himself, had already put away his work and decided to leave it for the night, but despite the hour Helen was still busy. Walter knocked on her office door before walking in with a cup of tea in one hand and a hair elastic in the other. "Proper English tea, just how you like it," he announced, setting the cup on her desk. Then he stood behind Helen, tenderly running his fingers through her hair so he could braid it.
Helen hadn't noticed how late it had gotten until he entered her office. She blinked in surprise and then took the tea. She leaned back with a sigh and took a sip before sighing in ecstasy. "Oh that's good. Thank you, darling." She tilted her head back and kissed him softly. "Come to bed with me?"

"I think I found something of yours." Walter pressed a notebook into her hands, with a touch as gentle as though the book might fall apart. "I haven't opened it so I can't be sure, but it looks like the one I've seen you write in."
"Oh." Debra was surprised, but she'd recognize the notebook anywhere. Flipping it open, she confirmed her suspicions when she saw her handwriting. "Thank you. I...hadn't even realized I'd lost it."
