custom Meiji-style walolita // Lila Yamamoto🌸

So this was actually done almost a year ago. im just uploading stuff here that i havent before.

First off, her bandaid was hell for me to remove (at the time i hadnt carved up a doll's face yet lol). I cut too deep at some parts and I nearly gave up on her because I thought i ruined it. But after A LOT of sanding I was satisfied she didnt look mutilated anymore.

I made her top based on the PC Kimono pattern from DG Requiem, and her skirt from the PC Private School uniform. Altered both to fit what I needed.

the dango is clay, the temari balls are just painted wooden balls, and all the rope is embroidery floss. I had to glue the strands before braiding to give it that ropey look. The umbrella is a wooden dowel, cardboard, and origami paper. It was hell to make but that bitch opens and closes!

Her hair was the easiest. I just twisted her original buns and held it in place with pins. The bunny hair accessory is from a baby hair clip pack.

Katsumi and Rohan are both autistic. Which helps because Rohan can recognize when Katsumi is starting to feel overwhelmed or overstimulated.

Rohan spoils Katsumi in lolita fashion the minute they express an interest in it. He buys them anything from goth lolita to walolita and everything in between.

In Jojolands Katsumi and Rohan are childhood best friends to lovers. Since in that universe, Kira doesn't exist how he does in DIU, this means in my hc that Rohan never left Morioh. So, neither did Katsumi’s parents.

Katsumi and Rohan have a bit of a "love at first sight" dynamic. But they do become friends that eventually become lovers.

Katsumi does exist and live in Morioh during the events of DIU however since I like the plot as is they're a background character that appears in: Episode 34 - July 15th (Thursday), Part 4. I have yet to get a fake screen commission of where they appear in this episode, but that's their minor appearance!

Nicknames Rohan has for Katsumi: usagi-chan, little rabbit, little mochi bun, mochi-chan

Back in May, Mia, Iona and I dressed in Taisho Roman inspired outfits to go visit the Matuo Hiromi exhibition at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, an historical hotel known for its long staircase and gorgeous ceilings. Afterwards, we went to Three Tiers for tea (but honestly, I just got the carrot cake because it was way too hot for tea).

We took so many pictures that day, so I'll have to separate them in two posts (the Gajoen pictures are in my Instagram post). The first picture was taken with a self-timer, while my camera was propped on an aircon on the other side of the street lol.

My outfit consists of an Axes Femme yukata under a second-hand Victorian Maiden skirt with various thrifted and vintage accessories. Mia and Iona's outfits are mainly vintage.
