4 seconden maken een wereld van verschil

Ik hou van videoclips die een verhaal vertellen. Laat dat nu precies zijn wat de jongens van de Amerikaanse band OK Go en zoutproducent Morton Salt hebben verwezenlijkt. De twee hebben samen een clip uitgebracht die in werkelijkheid slechts 4,2(!) seconden duurt. Wanneer het filmpje echter vertraagd wordt afgespeeld krijg je pas echt te zien hoe verbazend mooi de video in elkaar zit.

Dubbele boodschap, dubbel zo mooi

De clip dient niet enkel als muziekvideo voor het nieuwe nummer van de band ‘The One Moment’. Het is meteen ook een reclamespot voor de ‘Walk Her Walk’-campagne van Morton Salt. De organisatie wil met deze campagne mensen aansporen om anderen te helpen. De boodschap is dat er veel kan gebeuren in een korte tijd. Om iemand te helpen heb je niet veel nodig. Een beetje van je tijd kan al volstaan om iemands leven te veranderen.

In de clip vinden er maar liefst 325 acties plaats. Elke actie is zo gefilmd dat ze perfect overeenkomt met het ritme van de muziek. Knap staaltje filmwerk als je het mij vraagt!

15 miljoen positieve reacties

OK Go staat bekend om het maken van spectaculaire videoclips, maar deze vind ik toch wel bijzonder geslaagd. Ik ben niet de enige die er zo over denkt. Al meer dan 15 miljoen mensen hebben de video bekeken, en de reacties zijn stuk voor stuk positief. Ik ben alvast benieuwd naar hun volgende meesterwerk.
