The past few weeks have been pretty eventful. I had one week of school before going back on break for a week due to exams. As a senior I’m exempt from them all so I spent almost all of last week working on scout stuff. I now have a potential Eagle Scout project, which will be building a Gagaball pit for Green Level Baptist. Right now I’m waiting on approval from a couple people, but there shouldn’t be any issues there. My dad and I went to Josh’s house to make a prototype of what my project will likely end up being, and I got to learn how to use a couple tools. The only one that was completely new to me was the circular saw, but I got better at using a handsaw and a chisel too. Aside from that I’ve been wrapping up my Eagle merit badges, which meant I got to go volunteer at Mabopane again. While I was there I found a desk and sent a picture of it to my mom, and we ended up getting it, and I bought some medical books for Emily’s birthday. Aside from scouts, I’ve also seen a lot of family lately. Granny died two Saturdays, so it’s been an emotional week or so. Her funeral was Friday, and being around all the family helped a lot. Also, since Chloe was already in town I got to spend all of Saturday with her which was nice. We went to WakeZone and Walmart to get food, and spent the rest of the day being dumb. We tried sword fighting with baguettes but it didn’t work too well. We also started watching the DreamSMP from Wilbur’s perspective and it’s better than I expected. We also played Age of Empires and started to play Minecraft but we’ve done that quite a bit over the past few years so we decided to do something else. We went for a walk and played Pokémon Go which was interesting but it was absolutely freezing outside so we didn’t stay out long. We also found a new band, “Sexy Pigeon”. I played their song Avocado Toast as a joke, and it ended up being really good so we listened to the rest of their music throughout the day and they’re surprisingly a really underrated band.
