i'm going to keep this as short and simple as possible becos i HATE tumblr and i'm literally tired from fighting with it all day . . . you will find mentions of the following triggers : murder , death , and in general some dark themes .

the  kwon's  are  considered  espionage  royalty  .  his  father  is  the  current  headmaster  at  a  spy  prep  school  in  england  ,  where  the  family  hq  is  located  ,  and  his  mother  often  works  globally  with  intelligence  and  provides  expertise  and  aid  to  top  officials  .  youngest  of  three  .

what  can  i  compare  the  kwon's  in  modern  relevance  to  understand  them  better  ?  i'd  say  the  mandalorians  would  be  the  closest  .  their  clan  has  relished  in  their  notoriety  for  their  violent  nature  ,  their  ability  to  dominate  the  art  of  combat  ,  and  the  glory  which  followed  after  victory  .

despite  their  ~mysteriousness~  and  their  almost  celebrity-like  status  ,  the  kwon's  had  a  dark  .  .  .  dark  secret  .  this  secret  is  what  lead  them  to  be  undefeated  in  times  of  danger  ,  the  reason  for  their  infamy  ,  and  the  basis  of  rumors  that  were  spoken  in  hushed  whispers  ,  swirling  around  them  .

as  soon  as  they  turn  sixteen  ,  selected  members  of  the  kwon  family  are  sent  to  a  family-funded  'program'  (  this  program  is  not  limited  to  just  family  members  ,  they  are  prioritized  ,  but  anyone  who  is  deemed  worthy  of  having  these  skills/traits  are  welcome  to  enroll  )  ,  located  in  the  swiss  alps  within  the  confines  of  a  kwon  family  estate  .  this  program  mirrors  the  red  room  program  ,  dedicated  to  honing  the  skills  of  an  assassin  and  being  the  best  of  the  best  .  kwon's  would  never  tolerate  anything  else  .

neo  joins  the  program  ,  along  with  a  handful  of  cousins  and  others  who  have  managed  to  make  the  cut  .  he  bounces  back  and  forth  from  attending  the  spy  prep  school  his  father  looks  after  and  returning  back  to  the  estate  during  any  time  off  to  continue  to  train  .  the  point  of  the  program  was  to  essentially  create  weapons  of  flesh  ;  faster  than  a  bullet  and  deadlier  than  a  knife  .

he  excels  and  lives  for  it  ,  his  name  appearing  as  number  one  in  multiple  different  classes  .  family  gossip  begins  to  unwind  ,  talks  of  neo  being  the  new  heir  instead  .  at  school  ,  he's  the  golden  boy  ,  too  .  and  it's  all  fun  until  it's  not  .  as  time  passes  on  ,  members  of  the  program  dwindle  down  until  there  is  only  a  handful  remaining  .  and  then  ,  there  was  two  .

neo  and  his  favorite  cousin  ,  born  the  same  year  ,  have  been  attached  at  the  hip  since  they  were  born  .  only  a  few  months  separated  them  apart  ,  but  that  was  the  only  instance  they  weren't  close  .  his  cousin  attended  the  same  prep  school  as  him  as  well  as  being  enrolled  in  the  program  ,  so  they  spent  a  lot  of  time  together  .

(  death  &  murder  trigger  )  to  finish  the  program  ,  there  must  only  be  one  person  remaining  .  death  had  lingered  in  the  air  since  the  start  of  the  program  ,  the  reason  why  only  a  few  remained  behind  .  whether  they  died  during  a  mission  or  one-to-one  combat  ,  to  earn  the  title  of  being  the  best  ,  there  could  be  only  one  .  it's  a  day  he  never  expected  ,  never  envisioned  being  at  war  with  his  favorite  person  in  the  world  ,  but  it  comes  .  through  tears  and  blood  ,  screams  and  sobs  ,  neo  wins  .  but  at  what  cost  ?

he  becomes  an  utter  shell  of  a  person  after  .  he  refuses  to  look  his  family  in  the  eye  ,  bitter  resentment  growing  in  his  heart  .  they  applaud  him  and  crown  him  as  the  heir  ,  the  next-in-line  to  their  ancient  throne  ,  but  god  he  doesn't  want  it  .  he  doesn't  fucking  want  it  anymore  .  but  he's  earned  it  ,  and  the  bloodbath  was  evidence  of  it  .  the  rest  of  his  years  are  spent  continuing  to  train  and  attending  school  .  his  name  carries  a  venom  and  notoriety  that  only  could  match  the  impact  of  his  surname  ,  plainly  stating  no  one  wanted  to  fuck  with  him  .  there  were  always  murmurs  about  the  'program'  ,  but  most  people  brushed  it  aside  as  'kwon  family  urban  legends'  and  no  one  ever  asked  him  about  it  .  only  a  select  few  are  allowed  into  his  crowd  ,  and  they  all  walk  behind  him  like  a  giant  shadow  .  he's  never  alone  ,  but  always  feels  like  it  .

to  ease  the  aches  ,  neo  is  always  partying  .  drinking  ,  getting  high  ,  sleeping  around  .  you  name  it  ,  he's  probably  doing  it  ,  if  it's  not  already  done  .  everything  that  can  be  used  as  a  distraction  ,  he  will  use  .  doesn't  think  twice  about  using  others  as  puppets  ,  forms  of  entertainment  that  momentarily  make  the  pain  go  away  .  has  consistent  nightmares  if  he  doesn't  go  to  sleep  not  sober  ,  wakes  up  in  sweats  nonetheless  .  got  into  a  brutal  fist-fight  on  his  first  day  at  gallagher  (  they  asked  about  the  program  ,  if  you  were  curious  )  and  family  connections  saved  his  ass  from  being  expelled  .  slowly  ,  but  surely  ,  learning  to  untwine  these  traumas  and  troubles  .  old  habits  die  hard  ,  as  they  say  ,  so  he's  still  back  on  his  bullshit  !  he  never  really  left  it  ,  though  .  a  bit  more  approachable  and  easier  to  talk  to  than  before  ,  but  he  strictly  hangs  out  with  his  crew  almost  exclusively  .  extremely  competitive  and  ranks  high  within  his  classes  .  his  family  occasionally  visit  gallagher's  ,  and  it's  the  only  time  he's  on  his  best  behavior  (  if  you  see  neo  smiling  no  you  didn't  <3  )  .  no  one  really  knows  what's  going  on  his  head  ,  but  i  can  promise  you  ,  you  probably  don't  want  to  find  that  out  .  he's  just  trying  his  best  ,  i  promise  !
