20 Questions for Fic Writers
I found this on my dashboard and even though no one tagged me I want to join in!
Disclaimer: I write a lot of adult content, and though there is a warning on AO3 if you click the link and it's appropriately tagged and warned, I'll say it again: every fic linked with an (Explicit) tag beside it, is intended only for adults. Do not read or interact if you're a minor.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
22 as of today! A lot of those are drabbles and ficlets, but I do have a few longer pieces. I have so many more I'm working on though!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
106.505 words 😄
3. What fandoms do you write for?
My main fandom is Harry Potter. I write a little bit for Twilight too and I've just started working on some Haikyuu! fics because of a recent fixation with the series 😅 I can't get enough of it!
I also have plans to write for My Hero Academia (I've posted a few drabbles, but nothing substantial), which I believe will start occupying more real estate on my brain as soon as I watch season 7 😬
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
The Deal, The Honeymoon & Beyond (Explicit) Twilight, canon compliant, basically fixing some fade-to-black scenes. Every day I'm surprised my oldest fic still hangs in at n°1, but there it is!
Pure fucking ambrosia (Explicit) Twilight, no pregnancy AU, a complete fever dream and slightly cursed—I blame the r/Fanfiction Discord and Jadzia specifically for this sinnery. I'm glad this one found its crowd.
Acquiescence to Inevitability (Explicit) Harry Potter, a Dramione one-shot inspired by another fic. No War AU, Hogwarts Seventh Year, very little plot but a lot of fun.
A Grave Mistake (Teen) Haikyuu, a cute KageHina one-shot about Halloween. Pure domestic fluff, Shoyo being adorable and Tobio being weak af for him
Memories, Not Dreams (Teen) Harry Potter, a short & sweet Harmony ficlet. Canon Divergent at Deathly Hallows. You guessed it, it's during their time in the tent 😅
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Every single one of them, as soon as I can! Comments are the highlight of my day, I call them the fuel for the writing furnace. They mean someone took time out of their day to let me know what they thought of my fic. That means the world to me 💜
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oh, that's an easy one. Just for tonight (Explicit) has two endings (a choose-your-own-adventure sort of fic), but one of those is the angstiest shit I've ever written. I love it!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That's got to be Man of Honour (Teen). Though it's a prequel to a bigger project I'm working on, as a standalone it's got the fluffiest, most HEA ending I've written.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Fortunately no, not even with the spiciest/weirdest fics I've posted, which I'm very thankful for. I'm a strong defender of "don't like, don't read," which I apply for my own reading. The little 'x' button is the only dislike button I need, and I'm glad whoever read and disliked my stuff (which I'm sure has happened) didn't bother to let me know.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I mostly like fluffy smut, though I have a thing for characters who are desperate, particularly if they view the moment as their only or last opportunity to experience intimacy with that person. I love writing service tops + overstimulation, which is a really nice combo; and D/s dynamics, because of the trust they imply and the fireworks they can bring to the fun.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't yet, but there's a plot bunny in my bunny hutch waiting for me that would be a crazy one indeed 👀 I don't have the details fine tuned yet, but I do know it would involve Knives Out and Spy x Family, for one. That sounds crazy to me 😂
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of, and I don't think so. I don't have that kind of traffic 😂
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I got a request recently for a translation to Vietnamese, but I don't know if it's been done yet.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! I don't know how that would work, but I'm curious. It could be fun!
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
It's so hard to pick just one, holy shit. But I suppose it's the one that lives rent free in my head every fucking day, the one that got me writing a 50k outline and five spreadsheets and ten metric tonnes of research and is sitting at 45k words when I'm only 15 out of 150 scenes in (yes, 150, I will die writing this fic). I don't like the "official" ship name, so I just call them Symphony: Draco / Hermione / Harry.
I couldn't choose between Dramione, Harmony and Drarry, and I thought all of them worked perfectly together, but I believe that as a triad they are perfect.
I think they balance each other out perfectly, and I can't wait to write a Brandon Sanderson sized longfic about them 😂
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have some scenes I want to add to The Deal, The Honeymoon & Beyond (Explicit), other scenes that faded to black and I want to fill in, a few requests and other ideas, but it's the last thing on my list of priorities at the moment. I don't know if I'll never get to them, but it won't be soon for sure. I'm a lot more focused on other fandoms for now.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm good at finding the perspective of the POV character and placing myself in their shoes, and I believe that results in a decently strong character voice. I'm very intentional in my word choice and my speech and thought patterns, so that every character sounds different and as true to themselves as possible. At least, that's what I think; I'd love to have someone else's opinion on this.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm afraid my grammar structures aren't as varied as I'd like them to be, and though I put a lot of effort into it, I'm still somewhat concerned about writing in English, since it isn't my native language. I'm always second-guessing myself, wondering if what I'm writing means what I think it does, or if I'm mistakenly implying something else. That's the kind of thing I'd love to have a beta for.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I mean, every fic is in "another language" for me But if this means adding dialogue in another language to an English fic, then I think it should be translated inline with html/css (workskin) formatting. There's nothing more annoying than having to scroll down or open another tab to see wtf something means, unless it's clearly implied or translated inside the fic itself.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Twilight!
I found out Midnight Sun existed during the pandemic, proceeded to fall down the rabbit hole and had a Twilight renaissance with an adult perspective. That's when the fade-to-black scenes annoyed me; as a teen, they didn't stand out to me, because I was a child. But now, with new (and filthy) eyes, I wanted more.
I looked up fanfiction online for the first time at the ripe old age of 24, read a brain-melting amount of it, and was still unsatisfied. Everything I read was just a little bit off what I wanted, so I thought I had to rectify the situation. And that's the story, folks!
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Of the ones I've posted, Man of Honour 💜 I think it's the one that anyone can read, it's fluffy and cute and (I hope) funny, and stars a great platonic friendship, some star-crossed romance in the background, and fake dating shenanigans, and I love it so, so much 💜 I put a lot of sweat and tears into the workskins and pinterest boards, so it's also quite pretty, if I do say so myself. I think it's my best work, I had a blast writing it, and I've gotten really positive feedback on it. I'm really happy with it.
I tag @gamingwithsydney! and anyone who sees this and wants to participate. Please ignore if you’ve already done this or don’t want to do it, that’s completely fine. 😊

fic writer tag game
thank you for the tag @palmviolet ! love things like this. blessings upon you and all your sheep
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
five! my ao3 account is but a baby
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
63k. in approximately ten days this is going to jump by ~15k so perhaps i should have waited to do this tag but alas. impatience
3. What fandoms do you write for?
currently only les mis. so many themes to explore... so many characters to sink my teeth into... so many dynamics to look at and so many situations into which i can drop people...
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
i mean. this is going to be all of my fics but here's the ranking
suckerpunch
visiting hours
restoring the balance
tech week
the two sides of monsieur valentine (the perils of rarepairs)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
yes!!! i love comments. fuel. life blood
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
well. there's a major character death marinating in my drafts, yet to be unleashed
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
currently all of them have pretty happy endings, which is something i'm sort of trying to change because i'm starting to get a little bored of writing that all the time. sorry. scared of getting myself into a funk! all things considered though, it's probably tech week. those final lines were in my head from the very start of the fic, and with the whole christmas vibe... yeah. that one, i think
8. Do you get hate on fics?
not so far! hoping that will not change!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
not as of yet and i can't see myself doing so if i'm honest but i'm also a big believer in never saying never because i don't know who i am (or more importantly, who i will be). so. not at the moment. but in ten years maybe i'll look back at this and laugh. you know
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
again, not as of yet! not a full crossover, with characters from each thing intersecting, anyway. i've got some AUs for les mis that are specific to other interests, but nothing closer than that.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
i don't think so.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
i don't see many fics in the les mis fandom getting translated at all anymore! the fandom is so lovely but it's definitely quieter than it has been in the past, so it doesn't surprise me. i'd love for it to happen, but no, not yet.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
nooo. i like the idea of it, if there was someone i think i worked well enough with -- but i don't know anybody over here well enough for that yet, i don't think. i am currently bad at messaging people/interacting on any level deeper than reblogging posts or commenting on their fics, which is really something i should work on. open to the possibility though!
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
enjolras and grantaire, oh my god. living in my brain for goddamn YEARS now. years upon years. with that said, i do have certain Feelings about them -- maybe i'll go more into detail with this someday on some other post but really i think that the way they're done in canon is kind of perfect, which is why i don't write canon era fic for them. there's nothing i can do to that that would make it worthwhile, to me. but putting them in different time periods or situations? ohhh yeah
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
i've got bits and pieces of a les mis AU for the BBC series race across the world which i am still sort of attached to but can't see myself doing anymore, purely because writing the logistical parts of how the race etc functions in that show was boring me, and i don't want to be bored by something that i'm doing for my enjoyment. but maybe i'll do a post at some point laying out the main plot points if anybody's interested because i do still like the concept
16. What are your writing strengths?
probably still nailing this down, if i'm honest. i like descriptions.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
i always think i'm not great at dialogue, but i've been told the opposite, so who knows! i think my issue with it comes more from wondering where the conversation should go/what should go in the middle of two points i want the characters to make, rather than making it sound realistic. i think i'm fairly good on the realism front.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
occasionally i'll make characters say the odd phrase in another language, but nothing more than that. i'm not fluent in any language other than english, so unless it's something i'm sure of in spanish i think i'd just be worrying if the translation is correct, which isn't worth it to me (and there isn't much use for spanish in what i'm currently writing lmao)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
fanfiction dot net days are ones we do not talk about... a haze in my mind... banished to the darkness... but i actually do know the answer to this -- it was dracula, for some fucking reason. (i know the reason. but i'm not sharing)
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
i'm quite fond of suckerpunch, just because i think it's sort of speedrunning my personal exr manifesto, but i don't know! seriously no answer to this! taking that as a good sign: maybe my favourite is yet to come.
no pressure tags go to @pumpkinspice-prouvaire @sereendy @shamedumpster and anybody else who wishes to do it!

Fic Writer Review!
Tagged by @lena-in-a-red-dress I never do these things, but it seemed fun to try as I venture out into the world away from fandom a bit.
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
40
2. Whats your total ao3 word count?
1,264,254
3. How many fandoms have you written for?
Technically 4, but let’s be honest. It’s just 2.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
Essays in Existentialism Giant Nerd Duck Kiwi
5. Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?
I once did, but it’s a little hard. I have been putting a lot of time into being more engaged on patreon. For the most part, I do take the time to respond to commentary that is engaging. I always appreciate when people take a moment to leave a “great!” or “loved it” or “can’t wait for more” and I’d like to issue a blanket thank you and I love you and I read every single one and on bad days, those fuel me to write mroe and try to be better just as much as others. But If I have a finite amount of time, I find it best to engage with people who are asking questions or making thoughtful commentary. My favorite thing to read are lines or parts of it that someone liked the most.
6. A fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending
Well, I reckon it’s The Wrestle even though that doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t particularly work in angst. I’m not that angsty.
7. Do you write crossovers?
Kind of. I mean, I play with universes a lot, I don’t know if they’d be crossovers.
8. Ever received hate on a fic?
Um, yeah, here and there. You’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s okay if they let you know. I try to follow the guideline of “Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia (Kurt Vonnegut).” So I have a handful of people who have been reading me for literally years. Like I have people I’ve gotten to know and have spent years growing with, and I write for them to enjoy. It helps.
9. Do you write smut?
Not well.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yeah, actually quite a bit. I don’t understand why, to be honest. It takes absolutely no talent to steal, and I find it really repulsive.
11. Ever had a fic translated?
No-- I feel really bad about this because I would love to share it with other people. I mean, the reason I write is to give a happy ending and some sweet moments to a group of people who don’t have many of them (even if they’re badly written and contrite), but there’s this kind of ownership of my words, and what if the feelings aren’t right? It makes me too nervous. I’m more and more open to it though, so if anyone is serious about it, let me know. I can’t promise it’ll happen, but I’d love for it to be a collaborative thing.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic?
No-- I am an insanely irresponsible writer on a good day, and I couldn’t in my right mind subject someone else to this.
13. All time fav ship?
Emily/Naomi-- Skins.
14. WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
The Wrestle-- I just... I lost it, you know? I lost the plot.
15. Writing strengths?
Welp. I wish I’d read through these more carefully before starting. I think I can do some dialogue okay.
16. Writing weaknesses?
Writing.
17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I think it’s fun. Adds a little depth to characters. I think it should be used sparingly.
18. First fandom you wrote for?
Skins
19. What’s your fav fic you’ve written so far?
This is a really hard question I get asked often. It changes daily. I’m really having fun with Atlantis right now, but that’s because Aquaman is my favorite comic. Fear was a good time. It’s hard. All of them have taught me important lessons about writing. Maybe Heart-- I very much regret not making that a full-length story.

No Other Version of Me - Prologue (1/?)
Summary: Amalia Queen was once said to be so important that the universe made sure she happened. Yes, it was her mom who said that but it still counts. Now, she's an adult and struggles to be worthy of such sentence. She doesn't want to be a vigilante and make so many sacrifices like the rest of her family, but it doesn't mean she doesn't want to save the world.
Sequel to "Five Lives"
Note: I know many writers have already done their take on next gen and canon did make it kinda pointless, but I promised to one (1) person I'd write this like two years ago and I don't like lying. Also the crossover episodes made me sad and I wanted to go to my happy place.
It's a sequel to Five Lives, so the Next Gen here is NOT Mia and co, as she hadn't been introduced when I wrote it.This first chapter is a prologue, it doesn't feature any known character but it was relevant for plot resons that will be clear later! Please, bear with me!
Read under “read more” or here on AO3.
May 2027.
It was the day. Karima felt her palms sweating as soon as she woke up; she had to close her eyes and steady her breath before getting up. As always, Taliq had gotten up before her and had already left for work. She took that as confirmation that he didn’t suspect a thing. A few hours, that was how long she needed to hold still and fake her smile. After two years of planning, she could barely believe she was that close from freedom. Her heart didn’t seem to want to wait that long, almost bursting from her chest, trying to make an early escape. It’s almost done now, she told herself. We’re almost there.
Waking up the girls was easy. Just routine. She can almost feel herself relaxing into it, braiding Samyia’s hair as Naila draws in her book and tells the story behind what she’s drawing. Those moments with her girls are what fuels her spirit.
“You look so pretty,” Karima told Samyia, kissing her cheek, “So grown up.”
The smile that blossoms on her daughter’s face is enough to blind anyone. Samyia is always so serious, Karima received every smile as a precious gift.
“What about me? Do I look pretty too?” Naila asked, leaving her drawing behind to join the others.
“Of course you do, my love,” Karima said, kissing the top of her head and pulling both girls into a hug.
The door opened and the room became silent. Taliq stared at them with no emotion and didn’t say anything. There was a time where he would have smiled at the scene, where he would ask if he could join the hug. Karima wished she had forgotten about those days, it would make things easier for her. But every morning when he came by, she hoped it would be the day she’d see her husband again.
She should know better. Her husband was long gone and only the monster lived there now.
Karima squeezed Samyia’s hand but encouraged both girls to follow their father. Not that they needed encouragement, they knew it was time to go. Karima wished she could tell them to hold on for a few hours and everything would be okay, but she couldn’t risk telling them anything. She just let their girls go. She was always watching them go and staying behind.
“Do not forget about the party tonight,” Taliq told her, “I left some money for you to do your hair. We want to make a good impression.”
Karima just nodded. More money was good, time was even better. Just a few hours, she reminded herself as she started packing the girls’ clothes. They couldn’t bring much, but she didn’t want them to need anything if something went wrong. Looking around the girls’ room she wondered if she should take any of their toys. There definitely wasn’t enough space for that, but she ended up getting Samyia’s favorite blanket and a few of Naila’s recent drawings. If something happened… No, she couldn’t think like this.
Her room was the easiest, she got fewer change of clothes for herself than she had for the girls. She had sold most of her jewelry over the last two years, but there were still a few valuable things that she packed in case they needed them later. When she was done the bag was so full that it was hard to close, but she managed it.
She had to wait until she was sure none of the house employees were around to take the bag outside, to hide it in the middle of the garden’s bushes. She texted Inaya to say the plan was on time, praying her friend would not change her mind today.
Inaya was the only other person who knew about her plan. She was the one who had told Karima that she could do this, that she could get her girls away from Taliq.
A moment later, Inaya confirmed that everything was ready for them.
The worst part was the waiting. The minutes passed and nothing happened. Karima wouldn’t need help prtending to be sick, her stomach was turning inside her and she couldn’t stop sweating. But she couldn’t risk it, so she took the little vial of poison anyway. Not enough to cause permanent damage, Inaya had said, just enough to make sure you’d be sick.
This was it, this was either the last day of her life or the first day of her new one.
By the time Taliq came back she was kneeling in front of the toilet throwing her organs up. Despite her body hating her right now, she knew she had done the right thing. The dark under her eyes couldn’t be faked.
“What is going on?” Taliq asked when he arrived in the room, “You look disgusting! How are we going to be seen this way?”
“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I’m feeling terrible. I can’t go tonight.”
She saw the anger in his eyes, she prepared herself for one of his violent kicks, but it didn’t come.
“Maybe we’ll get a new baby soon, huh? A boy this time?” He was smiling. Karima’s heart broke for the man he used to be.
“It might be the flu,” she answered, her voice tired. She tried to smile back to him, but she couldn’t. She hoped he’d attribute it to her sickness.
“It’d be great if we could replicate the work we’ve been doing with Naila,” he continued, as she hadn’t said anything. “We’re almost there, habibi.”
This time the pet name didn’t do anything to make her feel bad about her plans. He was almost done which meant her time was over. This was her only chance.
“Are you going to be okay by yourself?” Taliq asked.
“Yes, I just need to rest. Tomorrow I’ll feel a lot better.”
Tomorrow a lot of things would be different.
Taliq nodded and turned away, getting ready for his own event. Karima tried to compose herself and lay down on her bed, as if to rest her eyes for a moment. When Taliq left, she only knew because she was paying attention to all the sounds in the house and heard the door closing.
She waited half an hour to be sure he wouldn’t come back and then got up. Now it was the crucial part of the night. All she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry until the nausea stopped, but there was no time for that. First, she had to tell the maid to go for the night. She had been ready to stay with the girls, since she and Taliq were to be at the event, and was already getting them ready for bed. Convincing her was not difficult, even sick, she had authority in the house.
“Are you going to tell us a story, mommy?” Naila asked when she entered their room.
“I thought you were going to the fancy party tonight,” Samyia commented, noticing her mom in comfortable home clothes.
“Not right now, babies, we’re going to do something different today,” she whispered to them, “I need you to be awake for a bit longer, okay? Why don’t you two go draw something while you wait for me to come back?”
Both girls nodded. Naila loved drawing and jumped out of bed the moment she could, running to her colored pencils. Samyia stared at her mom for a while, wondering what was happening, but she didn’t question it, just obeyed. They always obeyed.
Convincing the security guard to leave was the hardest part. There was only one guarding the house, the other one had gone to get something to eat, the way they always did when they were left to guard the house during the night and Taliq wasn’t there. Karima had observed enough to know that. The second guard wouldn’t be back for at least half an hour. Doing her best to show her pain, she begged the guard to go to the pharmacy and buy her the medicine she wanted. For months now, she had been telling everyone she didn’t trust ordering things online, liked seeing them. All this just for this moment.
The guard hesitated, he knew if Taliq arrived now he’d be in trouble. He should never leave the house unguarded but he couldn’t say no to Karima. Not when she was clearly in pain and he was the only one who could go, she could not leave the house alone at this time of the night. In the end, he ended up leaving, saying he’d be back in less than fifteen minutes.
Karima’s heart raced in her chest. There was not enough time, she ran upstairs as soon as she closed the door behind her. Her daughters looked at her alarmed when she entered.
“Come with me,” she told them, and grabbed each by the hand.
Naila complained a little about how fast they were going while Samyia only looked confused. They got out through the backdoor and Karima sighed in relief when Inaya was waiting in the dark, holding the bag she had hidden earlier.
“Everything on schedule?” Inaya asked instead of greeting her, Karima just nodded and handled both girls to Inaya.
“That’s mommy’s friend, Inaya. Do what she says until I come back, okay?” she told the children, and then turned to her friend. “If I’m not there in ten minutes, go.”
Inaya didn’t look happy about that but they had discussed it before. The priority was taking Samyia and Naila out of there. Without time to explain for her daughters what was happening, Karima hoped Inaya would comfort them enough, so she ran back inside.
She ran straight to Taliq’s lab. It was locked by fingerprint and a 6-number password. The DNA had been easier than she imagined it would be since they lived in the same house, but the password was harder. She wasn’t allowed in the lab, hadn’t been there since Naila was little, and the password changed every month. She had searched the entire house to see if Taliq had written it somewhere, but she had no luck. She could have asked for the girls to pay attention when their father was typing and tell her later, but she couldn’t risk them accidentally telling that to the wrong person.
It had been hard, it took her being extra nice and agreeable to Taliq for weeks, but over the last month she managed to have him open the door in front of her. And then it was completed.
With less care than she should, she added his fingerprint and the numbers and she was there. She went directly to the machine, Taliq’s golden mine. She knew the schematics must have been uploaded somewhere, but she couldn’t be bothered with that. She started taking things apart with her own hands. It’d be faster if she was stronger, but there wasn’t anyone else who could do this. When she had done the best she could, she started opening the cabinets, searching for anything flammable and dropping in to the floor. She looked for anything that had the girls’ DNA and dropped it as well.
When her watch started beeping, she knew her time was up. With the lighter she had gotten the week before, she started the fire. It wasn’t spreading as fast as she thought it would, so she tried dropping more flammable things near it. Starting to get desperate for the fire to become bigger, she opened the drawer full of chemicals and started pouring them on the floor. The fire started to spread quickly after that and almost burned her. The smoke started to spread through the windowless room, her entire body told her to get out of there soon or she wouldn’t be able to breathe for much longer, but Karima couldn’t help but admire what she had just done. Taliq’s life work was in flames and he had no idea. No matter what happened from now on, it was over.
She turned to go out just to remember the door was closed. Her vision was starting to get foggy with the smoke, tears forming in her eyes, but she managed to open it, immediately coughing when she got in contact with the clean air. She had to drag a metal chair to stop the door from closing again. Luckily the floor was made of wood and would help spread the fire faster.
Getting out of the lab, she went straight to the kitchen, making the oven start leaking gas, and dropped the lighter on the floor. Soon, everything would explode. She could see the flames starting to spread out of the lab and ran away through the backdoor.
She ran all way to the meeting point, a block from her house, where Inaya was waiting inside the car with both girls. When she pulled the door open, Inaya didn’t say anything, just started the car.
Samyia and Naila started asking questions as soon as Karima arrived, but she was too busy coughing to answer. She had breathed the smoke for too long and running to the car hadn’t help her lack of oxygen.
“There’s some water in the back,” Inaya said, and Karima searched for it.
The water burned when she drank it, but it helped relieve some of the pain.
The weight of what she had just done seemed to suddenly hit her. The tears started forming in her eyes and before she could stop herself she was sobbing. For years, she had kept her tears to herself, being strong for her daughters, faking a smile so Taliq wouldn’t find out about her plans. But now it was over, she was free! She cried so much she could barely breathe, but she couldn’t stop either. The feelings needed to get out of her right now.
“This is as far as I can take you,” Inaya said, touching her arm to get her attention. “Here are the new identities. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more.”
“You have done more than I can ever repay you,” Karima answered, smiling under her tears.
“What’s going on, Mommy? Where are we?”
“I’ll explain everything later, I need you both to be quiet now, please, just go with me. Tomorrow I’ll tell you everything.”
Where they were was the bus station, where they’d get a bus to another city, and then they’d meet a guy who was going to take them over the border. Once there, they’d get a train, and then they’d have to pay someone to take them closer to the mountains. And once they were close, they’d have to walk for miles until they could get there.
And that’s what they did. As they completed each step and got farther from home, farther from Taliq, Karima felt the relief taking over her body. She had done it, she had truly done it. She didn’t let herself wonder about what happened there. If Taliq was searching or mourning them. If he had found out about Inaya’s connection to her. This was all secondary to her freedom.
She only noticed that she hadn’t stopped coughing since the fire when Naila asked if she was still sick. But she didn’t mind it at first, it was just a cough. But it didn’t go away and, by the time they got to the mountains, it had started being a lot harder to breathe. She couldn’t go to a doctor, couldn’t risk anything official and she didn’t want to stop. Over a week had passed and Taliq would know by now they were all alive, would be searching for them. Her mission wasn’t over yet.
Samyia and Naila were scared and tired. They trusted their mom, but they had never left the city before, had never done anything without their father’s authorization. They missed their home, their bed, their food and their routine. For years, they had complied with everything done with them, but now they’d beg Mom to stop. Naila would cry in silence and Samyia would refuse to move.
But the worst part was when she could see the fear in their eyes. When they noticed that mom was coughing up blood, they insisted on stop, but Karima made them continue to walk. One foot in front of the other, even when her lung seemed to burn under her skin and her feet hurt so much it could fall down, Karima did not stop. Not even if she had to crawl, she would arrive.
And after days, she saw something. Her body fell on the ground and she had to do so much effort to walk, she wondered if she’d die now that she was so close.
When they arrived in the gates, women with swords received her. She could barely talk now, her throat was too damaged for that.
“Please,” she whispered, “You need to protect my daughters.”
This was all she ever needed.
Despite their frightening weapons and eyes, they helped Karima and the girls inside. They took her to an infirmary and gave her medicine.
But Karima knew it was too late for her. She knew there was something wrong with her lungs. She made a choice when she decided to run away, to save her children. She had never felt so much pain in her life, but she was smiling.
Her girls were safe now.
She had saved them and now the League would protect them.

Here Come the Snakes (Seeing is Believing)
Guys. I’m sorry, okay? This was fueled by an out of control fic title game and it just spiraled into this...
This is probably the weirdest thing I’ve ever written (and I once wrote a ficlet where Robot!Mike was an actual robot). Enjoy, I guess?
Also tagging @brokencasbutt67-writer and @embrrssed-love because you know why...
A Louden Swain/ Supernatural crossover?... AU?... I don’t even know, my dudes.
Summary: Louden Swain perform their much coveted song, Here Come the Snakes, to a club filled with fans. Little did they know; Billy’s sweet guitar riffs, coupled with the hypnotizing kazoo solo later in the show; they would end up summoning demon snakes from Hell. Now, the band and their fans are trapped, unable to escape the venue as the snakes terrorize and begin to claim lives. It just so happens that Sam, Dean, and Castiel are in the neighborhood on a case when they hear the screams coming from within the club. Castiel knows exactly how to exorcise the demon snakes; but it’s going to require cooperation from a terrified band that only wanted to rock.
Word Count: 3233
Warnings: swearing, motherfuckin’ snakes in a motherfuckin’ club, snakes, demon snakes, discussion of demon fans, accidental demon summoning, kazoo solo
Rob, Mike, Stephen, and Billy were close to finishing up yet another amazing show. The had just finished playing ‘Here Come the Snakes’, much to the delight and excitement of the fans who filled up the venue that they were playing at. It was a rare treat; the band had never played it live before, but after weeks of seeing their fans requesting it on social media, they finally caved.
Rob still upheld that it was their lamest song ever, but the rest of the guys were all about finally performing it. Luckily, it had been a hit, and they knew it would be requested more often.
Rob deflected the excitement over the song by immediately going into the final song on their set list. ‘Medicated’ would always be a favorite of his. The fans loved it, and he loved that they never failed to bring their A-game when it came to the kazoo solo that had eventually been incorporated into each and every performance of the song.
The crowd sang along as they played, ready when it was finally time for Rob to conduct them in their kazoo solo.
Rob waved his arms at the crowd, smiling as he listening to the steady hum of all of the kazoos that the fans had brought. They played perfectly in unison, and perhaps it seemed silly, but tonight’s kazoo solo gave him goosebumps.
They ended the song, each of them then stepping forward together as they addressed their adoring fans.
“Thank you so much!” Rob shouted. “We love you! Goodnight!”
The guys stood together in a line, draping their arms across the shoulders of the one standing next to them and took their bows as the fans clapped and cheered for them.
What was meant to be a night that ended in joy and excitement, didn’t end up going that way though. The band was just about to make their way off stage to mingle with the fans when they heard a shrill scream come from the back of the room.
They all froze in place, looking out across the sea of people to see what was going on. Unable to see anything, they remained on stage, just waiting until they had a grasp on what would make someone scream in such a way.
Gradually, they noticed the entire crowd become uncomfortable. People began to look around in panic, staring down at the ground as they now began to move.
“Snakes!”
Billy turned quickly to the other guys, confusion drawn up on his face.
“Did someone say-?” Mike began before he was cut off by the sound of more screams.
The room erupted in screams now; fans shrieking and panicking as they tried to run for the exits. It was absolute chaos as they scrambled and pushed their way to the front of the building.
The band watched in horror as the space in front of the stage cleared quickly as their fans tried to escape whatever it was that had frightened them.
Straining against the stage lights, Stephen studied the ground, having noticed that it looked as if the floor was… moving.
“Oh shit,” he breathed out once his eyes were able to focus.
“Snakes.” Billy added as he too stared at the ground in front of them.
Rob and Mike turned their attention away from the frantic fans, who were still screaming in terror and now banging against the exit doors as if they were locked shut. They collectively gasped as they too saw what the other two saw.
Snakes. Hundreds of snakes. Hissing and slithering along the floor that was no longer visible since there were so many snakes covering it.
Before they even had a chance to let it register that this was actually happening, they heard a loud sound from the direction of the exit. Someone was banging on the doors and they wondered if the fans were breaking them down to try to escape.
Suddenly, they saw the doors swing open and the sea of fans began to flow through, each of them in a hurry to leave before they even got the chance to take selfies with the guys.
As the last fans exited the building, their screams echoing into the night outside, the band stayed frozen up on stage, unsure if they even had a shot of escaping since they would have to go directly through the snakes to get to the exit.
“What do we do?” Stephen asked finally.
“I- I don’t know,” Rob replied.
He realized that they were safe up there since snakes couldn’t climb up to reach them. But, they also couldn’t stay there forever.
Rob glanced around, assessing the room and the situation. Most of the people had escaped, but a few fans and even some bartenders had been victims to the snakes. He frowned as he looked at their lifeless bodies, knowing that this wasn’t going to go ever well with the rest of their fans once they heard about this.
“We can’t escape,” Billy said, his eyes wide with fear.
They turned to huddle together, taking their attention away from the snakes and focusing it on trying to come up with a plan.
Most of the plans were stupid. Stephen suggested that Rob go first, but that wasn’t;t even really a plan. Billy said that they should use their equipment to hit the snakes as they made their way to the exit, but they were just a little indie band and didn’t have enough money to replace anything.
“Son of a bitch!”
They heard a voice shout out suddenly from behind them. They turned toward the side of the stage just as three ridiculously tall men stepped onto the stage, each looking around at the scene before them.
“Hey, how did you guys get over here?” Mike asked.
“Oh, we heard the screaming so we busted through the back door,” the tallest one explained as he brushed back a strand of his long, flowing hair out of his face.
“There’s a back door?” Rob asked.
“Duh,” the next tallest man said. “Every venue has at least two exits.”
“Everyone should’ve ran back there,” the one in the trench coat added. “There are no snakes back there.”
Rob, Billy, Mike, and Stephen looked at each other; silently agreeing on their escape plan.
“Wait,” the trenchoated man said as he grabbed Rob by the arm. “You’re not going anywhere yet. You did this, didn’t you?”
“What?” Rob exclaimed. “No way! I hate snakes!”
“These aren’t just any snakes…” the man trailed off. “You need to help us get rid of them.”
“No,” Rob argued. “I’m not going anywhere near those things!”
“Wait,” Stephen said as he stepped forward, addressing the strangers. “Who are you guys?”
“I’m Dean and this is my brother Sam,” one of the men said. “We’re hunters. We hunt monsters.”
“And who is this?” Mike asked, pointing as the man in the trench coat.
“I’m Castiel.”
“Another- monster hunter?”
“I’m technically an angel of the lord, but yes, I am also a hunter.”
“Hey wait,” Rob said, brows furrowed as he looked at each of them as if he suddenly recognized them. “Do I know you guys?”
“I don’t think so,” Castiel answered quickly. “Look, we don't have time to get acquainted right now. Tell me exactly what happened before these showed up.”
“Uh- uh…” Rob sputtered. “We sang ‘Medicated’.”
“And just before that?”
“We sang ‘Here Come the Snakes’. We never sing it live, this was the first time,” Stephen chimed in. “Is that what summoned them?”
“There’s no such thing as demons!” Mike shouted. “Much less demon snakes!”
“There is most definitely such a thing as demon snakes. Usually, it’s the work of one demon that takes on the form of many snakes. Look,” Castiel said as he motioned toward the snakes still slithering on the ground. “You can’t deny it. Seeing is believing.”
“Oh god,” Rob cried, running his hands through his hair with a horrified look on his face.
“Wait,” Castiel said as he thought hard. “You said you sang a song before the song about the snakes… did there happen to be a kazoo solo involved?”
“Of course there was a kazoo solo,” Rob exclaimed, looking offended that the angel had even asked.
“Yes, there’s always a kazoo solo in ‘Medicated’,” Stephen confirmed. “Does that mean something?”
“You!” Castiel shouted as he turned to Billy, “How awesome are your guitar solos?”
“How did you know I was the guitarist?”
“I’m an angel, I know things.”
“They’re pretty sick actually,” Mike answered.
“Everyone knows that sick guitar solos followed by a kazoo solo summons the demon that takes on the form of snakes,” Castiel explained. “What were you thinking?”
“They do?” Rob asked, turning up his face in confusion.
“Even I knew that,” Dean said as he rolled his eyes in exasperation.
“Well, what do we do?” Billy asked. “I didn’t mean to be so awesome. Can we get rid of them?”
“Of course we can,” Sam cut in. “We can’t kill them all, but just need to exorcise the demon at least.”
“Awesome, let’s do that!” Stephen exclaimed.
“It’s not that easy,” Castiel said quietly as he glanced around at the nightmare that had surrounded them. “A demon snake demon isn’t like a regular demon.”
“We’ll help,” Rob offered. “Whatever we need to do.”
“Do you guys happen to know any really depressing, melancholy songs? It should hypnotize it long enough for me to expel it and force the demon to reveal itself.”
“Do we!” Shouted Mike with glee, his bright, sunny smile lighting up his face.
“We might,” Rob replied.
“Let’s do ‘She Waits’,” Billy offered. “It’s the most depressing song we have.”
“Good one,” Mike said excitedly as he hurried to his bass.
The others scurried off, each of them picking up their respective instruments as Rob took his spot at the microphone.
Rob sang the song with as much emotion as he would had he been singing for their fans, even if right now it was being performed for a crap ton of hissing, slithering, angry demon snakes.
Right near the end of the song, just as Rob was really getting into it, the snakes bagan to calm down. They stopped moving as the sound of Rob’s voice filled the room along with the steady incantation of some sort of exorcism spell that Sam and Dean had started.
Sam continued the incantation, glancing over quickly to Dean who had all but stopped helping recite the phrases. Instead, he was facing the stage, holding up a lighter and swaying back and forth as the band played on.
He reached over and hit Dean on the arm, startling him for a moment.
“What?” Dean asked. “It’s a good song.”
Without losing a beat, Sam continued to speak, motioning for his brother to help him out. Dean rolled his eyes and picked up where Sam was, easily joining in on the incantation.
As Rob finished the song, filled with emotion as he belted out the final refrain, the snakes had completely stopped slithering around. Now, they seemed to be in a trance, watching the band as Sam, Dean, and Cas wrapped up the incantation.
Finally, plumes of thick, black smoke began to escape the snakes; each plume swirling together in the center of the room, banding together until there was just a dark, heavy cloud left.
The band watched in horror as the snakes now lifeless remains began to shrivel up before turning into piles of ashes.
They turned their attention back to the cloud of smoke as Sam, Dean, and Cas stepped in front of it, seeming readying themselves for a fight.
“What are they doing?” Billy asked Rob. “Are they planning to stab a cloud?”
Rob shrugged in response, unable to take his eyes off of the cloud as is gradually began to shrink now.
In second, the smoke had dispersed and there stood the demon, who was now possessing the body of a fallen bartender.
The demons eyes turned black is it focused solely on the band onstage, not concerned with the three hunters who were at the ready with strange looking blades.
“Aw, man,” the demon spoke as he looked up at the stage to the band. He started clapping his hands together slowly, almost menacingly as he took a step toward them.
Rob felt a shiver run down his spine as the demons black eyes stared back.
“That was a really depressing song, dudes.”
“He wrote it,” Mike said quickly, pointing to Rob to try to deflect attention from himself.
“I-I’m sorry,” Rob stuttered, fear taking hold as he waited to see what the demon would attempt in retaliation.
“Don’t be sorry,” it replied. “That was just- really beautiful and super emotional.”
“Uh, thanks?”
“Seriously, what’s the name of your band? I’d like to look you up and listen to some more of your stuff. You’re awesome.”
“Uh, we’re- Louden Swain?” Stephen called out from behind his drum set, seeming just as confused as everyone else.
“Cool name,” the demon replied with a smile. “Also, that song about the snakes… fantastic. You should play that at every show.”
“I don’t think so,” Cas cut in, walking toward the demon with his blade at the ready.
Before anyone could argue, he struck; impaling the demon quickly as everyone else watched while it screamed in pain. A brilliant light escaped its eyes briefly, then flickering out as the body fell back to the floor.
It took a moment for it to register what had just happened. The three hunters nodded at each other, slapping each other on the backs at they silently congratulated on a hunt well done.
Rob, Billy, Stephen, and Mike stood there, mouths agape as they watched Castiel walk around the room, kneeling down alongside fallen fans and placing his hand on their foreheads, seemingly healing them from the snake venom that had taken their lives. Each of the previously dead fans sat up, looking around in shock before making a run for the exit.
When he was done bringing them each back, he rejoined his fellow hunters.
“Dude, you just killed one of our fans,” Rob called out, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
The three men turned to look at the band, confused as they were met with disappointed stares from the four of them.
“That was a demon,” Castiel reminded him.
“He was probably gonna tell all his demon buddies about us,” Stephen said sadly.
“Yeah, we could’ve had an entire demon fan base…” Billy added, shaking his head in disbelief.
“That would’ve been awesome,” Mike said.
“Thanks a lot,” Rob muttered as he jumped down from the stage now that it was safe to do so. He stared down at the snake remains and the previously possessed body of one of the bartenders. “This sucks.”
“Um, you’re welcome for saving you and your fans,” Sam said sarcastically.
“And you’re welcome for me bringing back the ones who were killed by your careless use of music.”
“I mean, thanks for all of that. But, you could’ve given the demon a chance. Maybe let him off with a warning,” Stephen pouted.
“We’re hunters,” Dean explained. “We don’t give warnings.”
“Maybe you should though,” Billy said as he and Mike and Stephen joined Rob. “Demon fans would’ve been so cool.”
“Yeah,” Rob muttered. “I bet no other band has demon fans.”
“Look, the last thing you want is demon fans,” Dean said firmly. “Trust me, I know, I’ve been a demon.”
“It would’ve done even more damage than this if we had let it go,” Sam explained.
“How do you know?” Mike asked.
“Yeah,” Dean said as he turned to his brother. “That thing would have definitely talked these guys into some messed up deal.”
“Trust us,” Sam pleaded. “Befriending demons is not a road you want to go down. They only like to make deals that end with you losing your soul.”
“Not to mention the hellhounds,” Dean shuddered.
“The hell-what?” Rob asked in surprise.
“You don’t want to know,” Dean said as he slapped Rob on the back, causing him to wince. “Hell isn’t a fun place, I’ll just say that.”
“Look,” Castiel cut in, looking exasperated now. “No demon fans allowed. If I find out that you’ve summoned another demon and accepted it as a fan, we’re going to have a problem.”
“Right…” Stephen replied. “Okay, no demon fans then.”
“That’s so not rock and roll,” Rob frowned.
“Promise us that you won’t summon any more demons,” Cas demanded, looking specifically at Rob who seemed to now be the only one displeased with the thought of not being able to have demon fans. “And promise us that if you do come across any other demons, you won’t make any deals with them.”
“I don’t know what demon deals even are or what that mean,” Billy said. “I ain’t gonna ask either. But I promise.”
“I promise too,” Mike added.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Stephen finally agreed. “From the sounds of it, demon fans would probably end up tricking us into demon deals, and apparently send us to hell, which doesn’t sound fun to me. I promise.”
Castiel narrowed his eyes as Rob, who was taking his sweet time on agreeing with the rest of the band.
“Fine!” He shouted. “I won’t summon more demon fans. Even though it was an accident in the first place.”
“Just- no more ‘Here Come the Snakes’,” Castiel warned. “It’s far too powerful, and you obviously don’t know how to use that power.”
“And maybe no more kazoos,” Sam added.
“Woah, you shut your mouth,” Rob began, stepping up to almost challenge Sam even though he was so short and Sam was ridiculously tall. “You can take away the song, but don’t you dare take away the kazoos. That’s out of line.”
Sam turned to Castiel, looking for help to make these guys understand what they were messing with here.
“I guess- as long as the kazoo solo isn’t preceded by a song about snakes, it should be fine,” Castiel said finally.
Rob let out a sigh of relief.
“Great, just no more snake songs.”
“The fans really love that song though,” Billy argued. “What would happen if we did the kazoo solo first and then sang ‘Here Come the Snakes’ after?”
“Don’t!” Castiel shouted, a look of horror on his face now.
“I’m not even gonna ask,” Billy said as he backed down, not really wanting to know what could be worse than a room filled with a crap ton of snakes.
“Alright, no more ‘Snakes’,” Rob said again. “We promise.”
“Well, I think our work here is done then,” Dean said. “You guys stay out of trouble.”
“We will,” Mike called out as the three hunters turned from them and walked toward the exit. “Thanks again for your help!”
The band watched as the men left the venue, leaving them in silence as they let the events of the night sink in.
“What the fuck just happened?” Rob asked finally.
“I don’t know,” Stephen said. “But that was kind of awesome.”
“I can’t wait to see what the fans say about the show,” Mike beamed as they all finally moved to gather their equipment so they could get the hell out of there.

The Shadowhunters 3x20 “City of Glass” Theories and Predictions- Dark Clary Storyline
Alas! The penultimate episode of the season is here, not withstanding the 2-hour series finale following it and I can’t wait to see how this debauchery of a season plays out. I’d like to think the TV Movie finale will redeem what the writers have failed to achieve this entire season, so here’s hoping.
I will make my predictions based on the material made available to all of us via Episode Promo, Episode Stills, Teasers and BTS photos from the Cast and Crew. And I will do so in a per story arc/plot line basis so it’s much easier to digest. Also Tumblr, might not let me publish it if it’s too long.
Quick Recap:
Magnus has his magic back, thanks to the brilliantly executed plot line of Asmodeus swooping in like the “father” (sure) that he is or should have been. We see you Asmodaddy, you’re still up to no good.
Sizzy is at boiling point this episode, can someone please give us the kiss already and be done with it. The entire fandom has been waiting for this and prolonging it any further is just going to lose its steam. Trust me, blue balls never looked good on anyone. Especially, not Simon.
Dark Clary and Team Evil- welp, this is my least favorite arc of the season. Like y’all just couldn’t make do without making those racy scenes of Clace and Jonathan, cant you? Jesus.
Malec- how many times do I have to stress that this arc needs to be wrapped up, stat! The angst behind this arc is borderline psychopathic and it’s not very healthy. These writers have a thing for angst and we totally get it but that doesnt mean we’re here for it, every single episode. Y’all must be tripping.
Now on to the episode preview:
City of Glass- with a title like this, everyone is bound to have high expectations. This is after all an iconic book in what should have been a trilogy of CC. Why they named the episode such still baffles me given that they are already in the Heavenly Fire arc. But hey, we have Aku Cinta Kamu this week and that didn’t have anything to do with Malec breaking up, so there’s that.
My best guess is they are taking some elements from the City of Glass book (namely, the attack on Idris by the demons etc) while keeping in line with the Heavenly Fire arc (Jonathan and his unending quest for the Morningstar sword to end the Shadow world). So we might be seeing a crossover of sorts but in the subtlest of ways, I hope. The first arc they will close might be the Dark Clary/Jonathan arc first:
With the Glorious sword already forged, Jace, Alec, Izzy, Simon and Luke are back at the war table to devise a plan to save Clary from Jonathan and that means, they need to stab her with the Glorious sword in order to free her. Prior to this, we have Meliorn visiting the Institute to meet with Alec and Jace, probably to form an unlikely alliance with them or to blame them for what happened to their Queen, either way, Meliorn will prove to be useful to them in tracking Clonathan’s whereabouts and the sword.
Meanwhile, back at the evil lair (wherever that maybe); we know that Clonathan has the Seelie Queen, and that conniving bitch has the Morningstar Sword, so the only way to the sword is through the Queen. I could think of only 2 ways this scene ends, but first let’s address the fact that in the episode promo, Clary is seen beating the shit out of the Seelie Queen (because that’s how they make the baddies talk these days, right?). With that in mind, I’m guessing they can either kill the Queen (which they can’t) or the Queen will form an alliance with Clonathan creating a more formidable Team Evil in the works. Or she could just use the sword as a bargaining chip for her life, that works too. Convenient and practical and she won’t get killed. Oh that woman, always so clever.
The retrieval of the sword is successful (because how else are they going to open the rift to Edom, right?) but Jace and Izzy arrive just in time to stop them from doing anything stupid (as if opening a rift to Edom isnt stupid enough). And let me guess, the location of the sword will be in Idris/Alicante.
So they go into battle with Dark Clary and her line: “i told you what will happen if you got in my way again” (as if Jace ever took your threat seriously, biscuit). So Morningstar Sword vs Glorious Sword (Clary vs Izzy) and Jace vs Jonathan, I wonder how that will play out. I guess the answer is pretty obvious, Clary gets stabbed by the sword, severing her ties to Jonathan and bringing her old self back. Which pisses off Jonathan and he launches into this even darker path to destruction, way to go adding fuel to the fire guys! There’s a good chance both swords won’t be destroyed yet at this point because one is needed to open the rift to Edom and another to kill off Jonathan.
With Clary and the squad back in Idris, this arc is now officially closed to give way for Jonathan’s main arc: Destruction of the Shadow World aka Hell on Earth. With the Seelie Queen as his new ally (I maybe wrong), Jonathan is even more determined to kill them all, and make Clary her Queen. I am choosing to ignore the promo that shows Clary and Jonathan almost kissing (and while that is a part of the City of Glass book canon), I just can’t bring myself to appreciate it on-screen.
On to the next arc, shall we?

Arrow - S8 E7 - Purgatory
Well this just proves my theory, I think, that Oliver isn't going to die in Crisis - I had to double check what number episode this is, because it's honestly hard to remember between all the different show, even though they air clustered together bit, some take breaks at different time. I knew this was close to the end of the run, but I figured this must be episode 9 with Crisis coming up, but it's episode 7. Depending on whether the 5 episode arc counts towards the individual episode count for a given series or not, means there are 3 episodes left after this one; which may or may not include the "Arrow contribution" to Crisis, meaning there's at least two episodes after Crisis which finish out the series and it seems implausible that Stephen Amell wouldn't be in the last two episodes.... And here, I thought half the reason they planned this out the way they did was to basically end the series with Crisis - although I couldn't quite reconcile how they were going to give the series its due with a proper finale, without it being overshadowed with the crossover event.
Wait, what fuckery is this; how was what happened in the last episode meant to teach Oliver to "work with the Monitor to save the multiverse"?? Fuck you. Last week you said the lesson was to learn to accept your fate or whatever bullshit. And again, I repeat, this should arguably have been Barry's story. I get that Arrow is the grand-daddy of the Arrowverse and this is its final season, but one of the reasons I feel this way is that there's something dissonant about hearing Oliver Queen talking about saving the multiverse. Obviously exists in such a world where travel between universes and metahumans and all that shit is a thing, but this isn't his jam, it's Barry's; Oliver is ultimately just a regular guy with good aim. Obviously he's going to play some type of role in all of this, but for a series that started out so earnestly, grounding itself more in reality, before giving in to the more surreal elements of the comics in order to pave way for the spin-offs, a cosmic journey doesn't seem like the right arc to go out on. Yeah, do a victory lap and revisit your places your greatest hits took place in, but this shit just seems weird. Add to that, that both Oliver and Barry have spent this whole season assuming themselves to be dead men walking, it makes the two personal arcs for the two main characters of the respective shows seem redundant. If the Monitor was going to ask anyone to go on missions for him around the universe or expose him to an alternate reality to teach him to trust the Monitor and agree to help him, it arguably should have been Barry. I'd like to think it would have been more entertaining than the shit we've been watching for the last two months with Bloodwork, but honestly, having watched the way they played some of this shit out on Arrow, I just don't know. I don't know what that would leave for Oliver and crew, but arguably they could have taken a page from Supergirl, which has been to largely ignore that a Crisis was coming; which apart from the meandering stories they chose to tell in the interim, was largely a refreshing choice. Who knows, maybe Barry could have fought Rama Kahn - Supergirl sure as hell didn't need both him and Lena to deal with at the same time; and the whole Rama Kahn/Leviathan thing seemed half-assed. It's probably not done, but God I hope it is. Whether that would have meant the brat pack still arrived from the future when they did, I don't know. It was such a deus ex machina, it really doesn't matter if it would have fit with any other story, because it didn't really fit with the story they did end up doing; and given their role in the last episode or two, it probably could have waited until it got closer to Crisis and worked it in as the early indicators of the Crisis and anti-matter wave, where the walls of time weaken. Wait, what? I swear Oliver already told them that he wasn't meant to survive Crisis. You know what they say, showing is better than telling - with all the pointless filler bullshit we've had this season of Arrow, the least they could have done was take 5-10 minutes to give us a flashback of Lyla encountering and joining forces with the Monitor to fill int he blanks. Her explanation of it just lacks any substance to care or believe that she made the right decision. Plus, I don't feel like it does Harbinger's character from the original Crisis justice. She was devoted to the Monitor for saving her life, which made her being infected by the Anti-Monitor and betraying the Monitor that much worse for her. I don't know if they'll still have that plot line play out, but I figured I'd use spoiler tags to be safe. Oh, no, the B Team and Roy's plane is being shot down....?
"Gee, thanks." Fucking William.... "I was raised by Felicity too." Fuck you, William wasn't fucking raised by Felicity. She was in his life for like, two year, tops; and that's cumulative, not even consecutive. That includes Felicity tutoring him before she and Oliver got back together. Can I say how much I'm enjoying the lack of Felicity? I don't say it enough, because it's so easy to overlook, but it is perhaps the best part of the season. Well that was the stupidest fucking thing to ever be fucking stupid. Why the hell did the mercenaries even let Oliver draw his weapon, let alone do whatever bullshit he was doing putting his hands over his head and turning around first? The second he reached for his own gun every single one of those mercs with a gun trained on him should have emptied their ammo in him. Why? SO HE CAN'T SHOOT THEM FIRST! You know, the thing he was able to do, because they didn't fire as soon as he went for his weapon. I'm not saying I want Oliver dead, but come on; the only reason he isn't is because the writers made his opposition too fucking stupid. Huh... I hadn't necessarily forgotten that Roy lost his arm in the comics, but I hadn't really thought about them adapting that on the series. Bold choice, maybe a little forced here, what with enemies on the way and sparks near jet fuel... could be worse, I suppose. Kind of feel like maybe Oliver should have been the one in Diggle's position, but on the other hand (no pun intended) I'm not sure which of them, Oliver or Diggle, had the closer relationship with Roy. I want to say Oliver, since he invariably provide his major training for a very brief period, but man, it's been a long time since Roy was part of the core group. Augh....Fucking Mia.... I'm really not looking forward to Green Arrow and the Canaries or whatever they're calling the prospective spin-off series.... So the nets they're caught up in are braided steal, but the one rope securing both of them is apparently made out of match sticks... When given the order to kill Team Arrow, why the do some of the bad guys start rushing them instead of firing the guns they all presumably have; especially when some of them do start firing and those rushing towards Team Arrow are putting themselves in the line of fire? Also, lining up like they did might look like a novel display of force, but it also seems like a tactically bad idea, seeing as if the bad guys were half-way competent they would have all started firing and mowed Team Arrow down before they could pull an arrow or do whatever they were going to do. Here again, the heroes live only because the bad guys are too fucking stupid to kill them. Fucking William.... Why the hell didn't you check and confirm whose DNA sequence was needed to activate the weapon, before pulling Oliver (and inexplicably Diggle) from the battle?? "How much time do we have before the Crisis?" Well, it apparently starts at midnight in Central City. Looking up where Central City is in the comics, it might be in Kansas or Pennsylvania. Interestingly enough, there's a real Central City in Kentucky and in Colorado. Lian Yu is in the north China sea, so spit-balling the time difference between China and Pennsylvania is 13 hours and China and Kansas is 14 hours - so around 1-2 pm. Seriously, he's giving Rene and Dinah a farewell before talking to Mia? That's cold, Oliver. Especially seeing how, when he addressed "you two" I was looking away from the TV and assumed, naturally, that he was finally talking to William and Mia - you know, like how that was a plot point earlier in the episode, that he needed to do that? "Something tells me you're going to create your own stories." I half expected a scrolling promo or something to appear on screen saying, "Green Arrow and the Canaries, coming this fall!" "Lyla?" "Not anymore. I'm not a harbinger of things to come." Fuck you writers. That was so fucking forced......

Review: June Star Wars Comics
Delays from conventions made this a cramped reading schedule for me, but thankfully most of the comics are good despite reading three books by a writer who lacks in talent. However, the conclusion of The Screaming Citadel really brought up the quality this month. Overall, it was a good month and hopefully July and August will trim down the numbers a bit before the ‘journey to’ comics that will be coming in September.
JUNE COMICS:
Darth Vader #1: The second volume of Darth Vader comes in with a generic cover and very little to separate it from the first volume. This time we have Charles Soule (Poe Dameron) as the writer, but unlike his previous two Star Wars outings this is a pretty good first issue. It has some writing flaws, for example, the speech by Mas Amedda that intercuts an emotional battle between Vader and the Emperor really hurts the tone. The art is very good except for faces, they can look a little off for some reason. However, the more cartoony style is my preference for Star Wars comics. In addition to that, the fights can be followed and have lots of energy behind them. Then there is the backup gag comic in that Sunday Funny comic style that just doesn’t feel right in Star Wars. The story is Vader killing various generals while a mouse droid tries to ready his meditation chamber. I don’t find unnecessary death funny and overall the book would have been better without the backup. This was a fine issue one I can only hope that Charles Soule doesn’t screw it all up.
Darth Vader #2: The story continues as Vader makes his way to a Jedi outpost to gather information on his target. This puts Vader against stormtroopers like in a alt skin version of The Force Unleashed, but while Starkiller was undercover Vader has no excuse for not explaining why he is there. This issue is an excuse for a couple mediocre fight scenes and padding before Vader tracks down his target. The repartee between the stormtroopers is fun, but it is a small part of this story. The art is better than the previous issue since just about everyone is wearing a helmet, but the action is rather bland. This wasn’t a bad issue, but it doesn’t feel me with confidence that this will be a good series.
Rogue One #3: The story picks up as Jedha City is bombarded by the Death Star. The story continues until the assault on Eadu with very few changes in the story. There is a nice moment with Saw before his death, but not much else that seems changed or added. The big advantage in this version is the emotion on people’s faces which still beat the wooden performances from the movie. There is still very little reason to jump into this comic if you have seen the movie, but it is a well done retelling with some great artwork and a few minor changes to the dialogue.
Star Wars #32: The Screaming Citadel continues as Leia, Sana, and the droids try to stay alive as the violent madness in the citadel reachs a climax. Meanwhile, Aphra makes her escape while Luke and Han are tortured by the Queen. This issue ends with an intense cliffhanger as everything seems to be getting more and more crazy in this crossover. The writing is fantastic with some great dialogue from Triple-Zero as well as an emotional moment for Aphra. The art is top teir and makes the grotesque citadel really stand out, but outside the castle the backgrounds are a little bland. There is no reason to not read this story as it looks to be ending with a bang.
Doctor Aphra #8: The ending of the crossover begins exactly where the last issue ended with the heroes pushed to their limits while facing the Queen’s army. The resolution comes a bit faster than I would have liked, but it did give enough room to resolve a few remaining plot threads. This was a great event with an ending that makes me remember why I love these comics so much. The art is also pretty good, but not spectacular. Overall, this was a great ending to The Screaming Citadel and this event is a must read for those looking for a different type of Star Wars adventure. the only downside is that unlike Vader Down this crossover doesn’t do much to change the status quo.
Darth Maul #4: The story begins with a recap and the various criminals coming after Darth Maul and his bounty hunter team. This issue is mostly made up of fight scenes, which gets old, but the interludes featuring Darth Maul and the Padawan are well written. The art is still the biggest highlight of this series with faces being expressive and the world feeling like a Star Wars world. The conclusion will likely be action packed as well and I can’t wait to read the next issue. This is one of the best series currently running amongst the Star Wars comics.
Droids: Unplugged #1: This is a compilation issue featuring three previously published side stories featuring droid characters. I have covered all three of these stories before in previous reviews and I am not going to review them again here. I only really liked SaBBatage as it was a cute BB-8 side story, but the others just feel like filler material for shorter issues of comics. If you have a younger child in your life this might be a fun way to introduce them to Star Wars comics, but beyond that this could be skipped as it adds nothing to the overall story of any aspect of Star Wars. Frankly, the only reason to own this is if you are a massive completionist or if you never read these stories due to picking up the trades (and you’re a completionist).
Poe Dameron Annual #1: If you get a talented writer than even an Annual that I wasn’t looking forward to reading can be enjoyable. Robbie Thompson blows the terrible writing of the main series away with a story about Poe Dameron trying to survive after being stranded in space. This leads Poe to eventually learning key intel about the First Order and having a few good fights. The art is a bit better than most issues of the series with the faces looking very realistic, but the expressions can be a little wonky. The action is a little stiff, but it does have enough life to make it more visually interesting than the main series action scenes. It’s too bad this is tied into the Poe Dameron series because this is a great creative team that wont be coming back to Poe Dameron any time soon making me hate the main series that much more. Ideally, this team will be back for more Star Wars because they have talent and making a boring character’s adventures far more interesting than the current Dameron creative team.
Poe Dameron #16: The series continues as Poe and his team try to escape the trapped freighter and solve the fuel issues the Resistance is facing. The writing is still bad with everyone being panicked one moment then solving everything with no problem the next. Everything comes together too easily, but the arc isn’t over which means these events will have consequences, maybe. The art seems different than previous issues, but that makes some of the character designs look off from the norm of this saga. Overall, this was an average issue of this series so there is no real surprises here. I am hoping this series will come to an end soon, but with the big Last Jedi push that will be coming in September I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

FANTASY
Once Upon a Time
Season 6: Episode 20 – The Song in Your Heart
In flashback, Snow and Charming make a special wish that Emma will be protected. The result of their wish has the whole kingdom bursting into song which infuriates the Evil Queen. Meanwhile in Storybrooke, the Black Fairy announces her plans to unleash another curse on the town while Emma and Hook prepare for their wedding.
We wait 6 seasons and finally we get a musical episode. For a show that is based on Disney stories, which are mostly musicals, this had to happen eventually. And they did not let us down. Each song was catchy, entertaining, and effort was put into it by the actors, the writers, and the musicians. Of course, as per usual, the villain gets one of the best songs, but that is par for the course. They had to tease us with the Evil Queen asking Rumple to sing… we thought he was going to do it, and then that little laugh we love so much. The story about the curse coming and the wedding added to the flavor of this episode. But I think the best parts were the songs throughout the whole episode. It really brought the magic of the fairy tale to life. But now we face a new challenge. Where is the Black Fairy taking them?
Season 6: Episode 21-22 – The Final Battle
Henry awakens to a cursed Storybrooke and discovers Emma has been in the mental hospital, and the Black Fairy is the new mayor. Henry attempts to help Emma regain her memory while Gold tries to find out what has really happened to Belle. Meanwhile, Snow, Charming, Regina, Zelena and Hook are trapped in a crumbling Fairy Tale Land and desperately try to figure out a way to be reunited with Emma and Henry.
What a great season finale. We went from hope to despair, to almost utter ruin, back to hope and that reminder that good will always triumph over evil. Hook made such a moving speech to David about his love with Emma before they climbed the bean stalk. It’s true; their love was not easy, it was not love at first sight. They had to fight for their love, and they made it through. Snow and David’s love may have been true love that never fails, but Hook and Emma had something amazing that grew over time. The battle itself did not last long, but the meaning behind it, the trap behind it, was very clever. Gold’s final decision, to try to do the right thing was heartbreaking, knowing it wouldn’t work. But in the end we all got our happy endings… or were they beginnings. This was a great season finale, everything got wrapped up nicely, and Gold and Belle were able to raise their son after all. And there was an interesting lead into the next season, though I’m curious if they’re just going to do the same story over again.
PARANORMAL
Lucifer
Season 2: Episode 15 – Deceptive Little Parasite
When it is discovered that the flaming sword is the only hope for the family returning home safely, the pressure is on for Lucifer to control what he has never been able to control before – his emotions – in order to ignite it. Meanwhile, Chloe wants to air some emotions of her own, but when a therapist and head of admissions at a prestigious private school turns up dead, the team must get to the bottom of it
We learn in this episode that it is not anger that will fuel the blade, but pain. Something that Lucifer has a difficult time showing. But, in true Lucifer fashion, instead of going to his therapist to find out how to control and properly express his emotions, he goes to the private school with Trixie, and tries to find out how best to control and channel his emotions. We also learn more about the character of Trixie in this episode. Her character is much more complex than just Chloe’s daughter. Maize gives us the comic relief as always, listening to music instead of listening to Chloe’s problems. It was a filler episode to say the least, but we learned about the flaming sword and Lucifer’s fate as the Light Bringer.
Season 2: Episode 16 – God Johnson
When a grisly murder takes place at an insane asylum, the prime suspect calls himself God. After realizing that this man could actually be his father, Lucifer struggles with his feelings towards him and tries to find the truth, all while trying to discover who the real killer.
Nicely done by the actor who played “God”. He had a really interesting vibe to him that actually had the audience convinced he could actually be Lucifer’s father. There was some comedy with Lucifer and the character, but it was mostly dealing with Lucifer’s angst. The actual killer in the episode was a bit obvious, but it seemed that the murder was a background plot and the real part was Lucifer finding his “dad”. The show really threw us when God and Lucifer’s mother met once again. It would have been interesting to see them fighting, but we enjoyed what we got instead. Too bad it was only for a short time.
NEXT WEEK
Season 2: Episode 17 – Sympathy for the Goddess
When the man who had the final piece of the Flaming Sword is murdered and the piece goes missing, Mom joins Chloe and Lucifer on the case to track down the killer. But when Lucifer gets sidelined, Maze recruits him to help save Dr. Linda's endangered career and confronts him about the secrets he's been keeping
IZombie
Season 3: Episode 6 – Some Like it Hot Mess
To help Clive solve the murder of an irresponsible narcissist, Liv consumes her brain and literally becomes a hot mess. Meanwhile, Peyton learns some shocking news. Lastly, Ravi experiences a major setback.
Irresponsible Liv was interesting to see. It made me think of her if she had lost about 10 to 15 years in age and become completely irresponsible. Peyton’s discovery was sad in some points, and enraging in others. It would have been interesting if we didn’t get this reveal, but it is better storytelling to have got it. It seems we were all convinced of Blaine’s amnesia, and yet… it was only partly true. It seems he was just the same old con artist just trying to absolve himself of his past guilt. Poor Peyton.
Season 3: Episode 7 – Dirt Nap Time
When Liv and Clive work together to solve the murder of a very charming, but womanizing, preschool teacher, things get interesting when they bring his jealous girlfriend Piper in for questioning. Meanwhile, Peyton is assigned a very interesting case. Lastly, Blaine finds himself in a bad situation.
Who didn’t love Liv on preschool teacher brain? That was extremely entertaining. It is difficult to interrogate someone who is on a “time out”. It seems that some old murder is coming back into Peyton’s view as she uncovers more evidence. And poor Blaine cannot catch a break. He is sleazy and a con artist, but he’s one of those ones you can’t help but to love.
NEXT WEEK
Season 3: Episode 8 - Eat a Kinevel
Liv shares the brain of a former daredevil with her new boyfriend, and the experience brings them closer. Blaine is back to his old ways. Meanwhile, Ravi makes progress in his new research. Finally, a discovery is made that could put Major in grave danger.
Supernatural
Season 12: Episode 21 – There’s Something About Mary
Sam and Dean are alarmed when they learn hunters are being killed by suspicious “accidents” all over the country. They decide it is best to find Mary and make sure she’s safe. Meanwhile, Toni is back in the states and she and Mary face off.
It seems that everyone is out to get the hunters these days… Men of Letters, Lucifer, Crowley, and who knows what else. This episode focused more on Mary’s ‘conditioning’ as opposed to the boys searching for the hunters and their mother. It seems they slowly put the pieces together and figure out the puzzle, but by the time they do that… it’s too late. This episode would have made a great finale, with how it ended, but luckily we have two more episodes to go. I wonder if they will find a way to save Mary, or if this is her last season.
Season 12: Episode 22 – Who We Are
Caught in a dangerous situation, Sam and Dean only have each other to rely on. Meanwhile, the fight between the American Hunters and the British Hunters comes to a head.
This episode was slow to begin with, and that worked out really well. It would have been pointless if they had escaped the bunker on the first try. Not to mention we got some great Dean one-liners “we’ll Shawshank this bitch” was one of my favorites. When Sam went with the hunters to take the fight to the Men of Letters, and Dean stayed behind to work with Mary’s mind, the dream kicked me in the feels. The conversation Dean had almost to his mother about Sam, and the upbringing they had, made me worry for Sam’s safety during the fight. The fight itself seemed almost too easy and rushed. This is supposed to be a high-tech organization, and yet the hunters were able to storm it without a problem. This episode seemed very slow-paced and that worked well for the subject matter, and the show made up for it in the finale…
Season 12: Episode 23 – All Along the Watchtower
Lucifer battles Sam, Dean and Castiel for control of his unborn child.
And here we are, the season finale. I think Doctor Who is fighting for that SuperWhoLock crossover when Castiel spoke of the rift in space and time, but that’s just my opinion. This episode had more action in it and gave us so many directions for next season to go. It was interesting to see an old face in the alternate world, known as the world without the Winchesters. It will be really fun to explore that world next season; if that is the direction they go in. It is hard to say where we are heading next, but as far as cliff-hangers go, this season was actually quite relaxed, apart from what Sam found in the nursery. But now we have to wait a whole 5 months to find out… what are we going to do?
SCI-FI
The 100
Season 4: Episode 11 – The Other Side
Clarke faces the consequences of her fateful choice
It is strange that we are seeing the repeat of the Arc from season 1, where the teenagers are now making the same decisions that they fought against in the beginning. It is also interesting that Octavia has now become the one seeking unity, whereas it has been Clarke in the past few seasons. It seemed out of character for her to side with Jaha in this episode, and Bellamy was the one who acted out, just as he did in the past. It is a good thing that he did, as it would lead to war and massacre if Skykru were the only ones who got places in the bunker. This was certainly an Octavia and Bellamy episode. With all the possible moments in this episode to kick us in the feels it was the Monty and Jasper scene that got me tearing up. Such a great performance by both actors, and it really caught the audience by surprise. This entire episode was full of events and much foreshadowing to come. Who thinks that Raven is going to be the one to save everyone in the end?
Season 4: Episode 12 – The Chosen
Jaha and Kane disagree over how to handle their grim reality. Meanwhile, Clarke leads a group to save a friend.
Octavia really comes into her own in this situation. When the people of Skykru start to disagree with the situation and try to enforce their own opinion, she points out that the other 12 clans had already chosen their 100 and Skykru is no different. What they end up doing to decide is heartbreaking. It was difficult to watch Kane making the calls as to who lived and who had to die. Clarke and friends make it to Raven, but sadly without enough time. Are they really going to go back to the arc? So next season will most likely be about the trip to the arc, or how the 13 clans will get along in the bunker. Though, there is one episode left, and The 100 is well-known for its twist endings. So who knows what will happen next.
NEXT WEEK
Season 4: Episode 13 – Praimfeya
It's a race against the end of the world as Praimfaya arrives forcing our heroes to make impossible decisions to ensure their survival.
Doctor Who
Season 10: Episode 5 – Oxygen
The Doctor, Bill and Nardole answer a distress call in deep space, and find themselves trapped on board space station Chasm Forge. All but four of the crew have been murdered – and the dead are still walking! In a future where oxygen is sold by the breath, and space suits are valued more highly than their occupants, the TARDIS crew battle for survival against the darkest evil of all…
So, while watching this episode, who remembered “Silence in the Library” from Series 4 and wanted one of the suits to say “Hey Who turned out the lights”… no? Just me? Oh well. This was an interestingly creepy episode. The idea that everything is sold and measured in breaths of air, as opposed to steps or time. It really makes you think about how many breaths you take in a minute’s time, not to mention the question… will there come a day when we become so obsolete that the suits that keep us alive will be more important to our employers? Of course Bill shined in this episode and is becoming more and more a great companion. The way she talks back to the Doctor reminds me very much of Donna Noble, again from Series 4. This was a great episode with a wonderful twist of an ending, the Doctor losing his vision... It will be interesting to see how he continues to be a brilliant as he is now, without being able to see.
Season 10: Episode 6 – Extremis
In the Haereticum – the Vatican’s secret library of blasphemy – there is an ancient book known only as The Veritas. Throughout history, anyone who has ever read it has immediately taken their own life. Now a new translation is online, and the danger is spreading. The Vatican appeals to the Doctor. Will he read The Veritas? But can even the Doctor survive the ultimate truth?
This is the Matrix… I mean Doctor Who. At first it seems this book is the danger that everyone is worried about, but upon reading it, and upon Bill’s discovery with random numbers, we learn something completely different is going on. Bill seems more curious than some of our last few companions, who does what she likes. This endears her to me, as she won’t just blindly follow the Doctor’s instructions without question. I do enjoy a companion who thinks for herself. At the same time, we also learn who was in the vault that he had been guarding all this time. Who was surprised to see Missy in the vault? I had my guesses, but was not certain. It will be interesting to see her interacting with the Doctor once again.

Next-Generation Swift May Launch In 2017
Suzuki is looking for to release their next-generation Swift by means of 2017 with a very value-effective hybrid generation. The organization is focused on consumers who are looking for fuel efficiency.
Suzuki presently instructions almost 1/2 of the complete Indian vehicle marketplace percentage that is close to round forty-four according to the cent. The corporation sells approximately one lakh devices every month.
To maintain this position within the market, Suzuki is looking ahead to at least four-five vehicle launches deliberate within 2015. They currently launched the upgraded Swift which is their third largest promoting vehicle in India.
Nasa launch schedule 2016
The Swift, released in 2005, straight away caught the eye of potential Indian consumers due to its sporty appears and brilliant overall performance. The fourth-era Swift expected to be released in about three years from now will sincerely enhance their sales even extra.
A great reduction in the basic weight of the brand new car is anticipated given that this is meant to be a light-weight hybrid. It would be fine to look it launch with standard ABS and airbags, hopefully.
It is a vehicle similar to the Chevy Volt which makes use of the motor to propel the auto forward
The engine additionally acts as a generator to rate the batteries at the same time as transferring around. Sources display that the auto is designed for people whose everyday travel route will be much less than 20 km. (about 10 miles) in step with the day. A plug on the car will allow recharging from any sort of wall socket.
The hybrid version of the Swift can have low CO2 emissions and will also be extremely gasoline-efficient. Suzuki is presently growing a new power teach in India for this automobile in order to the preserve the costs of its batteries down. The organization won’t import the kit for this version from Japan on the grounds that Suzuki feels that the India lacks the requisite battery charging infrastructure. Suzuki is developing a similar electric powered hybrid with low-fee technology in Japan. Currently, Toyota Camry is the most inexpensive hybrid available there after the Pries.
The Impact of the Internet on Contemporary Literature
Literature basically is everything that has ever been written. Anything from the earliest poems of Homer, to latest web pages, can be considered literature. But for a selected experience, there are various forms of literature. Literature may be written in a selected language, like English Literature or be written by way of a particular way of life, such as African Literature. But literature clearly manner greater than printed phrases and the internet genuinely is a part of literature. I have to be aware that the word literature comes from the French word belles-lettres, because of this “beautiful writing”. When a bit of labor is referred to as literature, it is also taken into consideration a remarkable work of artwork. The net literature does now not always must be this manner for the reality that no one controls the net literature. In the following essay, I am going to speak about the effect of the internet on the literature of in recent times.
There are two main lessons of literature which can be additionally present at the internet: fiction and nonfiction
Fiction is writing that a creator creates from the creativeness. Authors can also include personal experience or statistics approximately real humans or occasions, however, they combine those facts with imagined situations (Moran, 45). In non-internet literature, the challenge undergoes at the least some type of censorship in phrases of what phrases may be used, yet the internet lets in the authors to position something they desire on the web website online and revel in it. Most fiction is narrative writing, including novels and quick memories. Fiction additionally includes drama and poetry. Nonfiction is real writing approximately real-existence situations. The fundamental sorts of nonfiction consist of the essay, biography, autobiography, and diary (Browner, ninety). The internet offers a brand new bureaucracy–net pages, or netbooks.
Web browsers for windows XP
People examine the literature for a spread of motives. The most common motive for studying is the delight. People read to pass the time, or for records and know-how. Through literature, human beings meet characters they could discover with, and on occasion discover answers for his or her personal issues. With literature, someone can regularly recognize situations they couldn’t in any other case recognize in actual life (Koehler, 28). Often, just the association of the phrases can be enjoyable, just as a child likes the sound of “Ring Around the Rosie”, even though they might not understand what the phrases imply. There are 4 elements of literature: characters, plot, theme, and style. A precise writer has the ability to balance these elements, growing a unified work of art.
