Story: 

They were told the story about their mother's friend (later adoptive co-mother), how she went out into the water during a high-tide and disappeared for many moons.

It was, in a way, how the two came into the world--she had previously been their father's mate, but thinking her gone forever, he moved on to the kits' mother. She came back while they were still in her belly.

The two kits thought that the story was really cool!

When they began to get picked on, they thought that it was also really useful.

If Anchorfall could go to the waves and not return for a long time, certainly anybody could?

It was easy to do it, too! They didn't even have to force their tormentors, only goad them, bet that they couldn't make it to a certain far rock or swim deeper than the adults.

They wondered when, like Anchorfall, they would return, but they weren't particularly upset to see passing days without them.

Without those disturbances, they could focus on the fun in their lives!

They bounced with joy when their mother and Anchorfall announced that they would both become their mothers, co-mates to their father and later mates to each other as well, when Anchorfall became pregnant with their younger half-sister.

They loved their sister to pieces. They couldn't wait until she could leave the nursery, and then showed her the entire camp.

When little Clownfishkit began picking on her, they told her their trick. She dared him, and they escorted him as far as the water's edge, as the 'witnesses' to his victory.

But they were young and foolish in more ways than one.

Tuskkit wanted to test it out for herself. She wanted to see if she could make it to the stone and back and be made an automatic early apprentice, just like her siblings said to the others would happen.

She did manage to make it to a closer rock, but the waves were still dangerously high, and climbing higher with a rolling storm.

When they noticed she was gone, Flipperkit and Walruskit raced to the beach and wasted no time in diving into the water.

None of the kits made it back.

--About the parents:

*The father's first mate was thought to have drowned. The water only carried her away, and with the help of some loners, she healed. But in the time that she was gone (about a year?) the father moved on and became mates with someone else....only to have the first mate return when the second was expecting kits.

*Things were tense for a while, but when those two kits were born, everyone softened. They didn't want lingering anger in those little lives. It was the two she-cats, who had also been friends, who first thought of becoming a poly. They brought their idea to the dad, who was delighted at the idea.

*When the two kits were about three moons old, their younger half-sister was born. While her mother was pregnant, the other mother confessed feelings that had grew for her since they had become a poly.

--The kits heard of Sharkstar and at first hid from him because knowing he was a leader of their Clan, they were worried that he would be mad at them.

--Their designs are all based on seals! Walrus doesn't have long teeth, those are fur stripes!

--Oceanclan is @umbranoxs Clan! They were kind enough to let me write some characters for it.

So I was thinking of names 4 the parents since you offered, and I have some suggestions based off of names I think could exist in Oceanclan's culture? Due to their knowledge of the sea, most of the clan being former loners and such, etc etc
