In some future we’re sitting on a porch after a long day, watching fireflies glitter as they return to the trees for the night and search for love of their own.

We have sweet sticky soda, but they’ve been long abandoned as our conversations haven’t given us a second to use our mouths for anything but talking.

I should have probably grabbed that hoodie I always keep by the door, but I don’t mind too much because that just means we have even more an excuse to be close.

Our legs are sore and our voices are shot, but that’s just a side effect of spending the day at the place we adore. It’s the only way my body knows how to feel after using all my energy on loving you.

It’s quiet now. It’s warm between the two of us. It’s peaceful.
