This is the first time I’ve done something like this, but I saw this particular comic, passed out, and woke up with this basically done. I’m sure there’s a bunch of errors, so please refer to the original text in the read more for some notes (edit: tumblr compresses it a ton, so I added the og in hopes that it’ll help):

Title:  第401話 新世界ディーネ編

Scene 1

ヴァレント・フェスに合わせた衣装で「新たな世界」の扉を開けたディーネ

The word 新たな世界 is stylized as ネオ・ユニバース.

ディーネ：我も…街も…世界が白く染め上げられてい���…白く…白く…！

染め上げられていく was interesting to translate.  染め上げられて is the passive form of 染め上げる; while the grammar ていく is used after a verb to express a continued change in state.

sfx: しんしん

I figured this was either 涔々 (snowing) or 深々 (silent, or piercing cold). Given the context, I went with the latter.

Scene 2

アルク：風邪ひく前にお家にお帰りー

風邪ひく means “to catch a cold”.

ディーネ：やだー！折角の雪景色もうちょっと楽しみたいんたよう！！

I used “picturesque” to provide a reason why Denah realized Shouta could take some pictures.

sfx: ビャーッ

I went with the more literal “Byah” or “Bwah” here.

ディーネ：あ！写真撮って！ ショウタ：へいへい

I almost had Shouta be like, ‘okie dokie’ as a meme? In general, Shouta’s the sort that’s a bit more casual feeling.

sfx: ビッ

This might also be the sound of Denah’s sudden pointing.

Scene 3

[ 撮影後 ]

sfx: じゃんっ

Tada! more or less.

ディーネ：ユキちゃんのお陰で今のぼくが雪と合うのはわかってたけど街並入るとまたいいよね！

This one was a bit tricky - there’s a character in World Flipper named Yuki who has snow powers, so I believe the implication here is that they took some pictures, and then had Yuki help recreate the scene later on in town.

アルク：確かに…でもこれ寒くないの？撮影中良くポーズ決めていられるね

Scene 4

フフフ…人の身を外れし王の巫女にのみなせる業（訳・王様にくるまって必死に耐えたよ

The みなせる  is likely from 見なす, or “to consider as, to deem”. This one uses the most of Global’s translation as a basis on how to write Denah’s chunnibyou tendencies. 

sfx: うぞうぞ

I went with ‘uwah’ as it’s somewhat similar sounding to ‘uzo’? It also works well to highlight that fighting the cold wasn’t the only thing she was struggling with. 

アルク：ただの我慢だし思いっきり人の身だし

Alk uses a lot of  だし here, which seems to be a combo of だ and し? Basically, he’s putting a lot of emphasis that Denah’s just putting up her usual act, and is in fact rather human when it comes to the cold.

ショウタ：あー…そういえばコンカフェ���働いてたゆかりーも言ってたぜ

Shouta’s specifically talking about a “Concept Cafe”, which are usually, but not always, maid cafes. I haven’t read Yukariko’s story yet, so I’m keeping it slightly vague on purpose. 

Scene 5

ショウタ：「本気になったコス勢は気合いで鳥肌とか震えを抑え込む」って…

[想像図] 

もえもえ　きゅんッ！！

I ended up translating this as something equally goofy “I love YOU!” as opposed to writing it literally (Moe Moe Kyuuunn!)

sfx: ビッキィィッ！

After lots of investigation, my best guess is that this is  ビキビキ, or “with one's veins about to burst (from pent-up anger)”, which tracks for what I do know about Yukairiko’s character.

ディーネ& アルク ：それは本当に人の身を外れでない!?
