Supplies were limited, and the roads were too frozen over for more to be delivered. M.utiny, D.ysentery, and starvation alike were sweeping through the regiments. Storm after storm swept the J.ersey countryside, leaving the ground blanketed in six feet of snow every morning. God above, they were going to die out here before any sign of S.pring.

With her stomach protesting the lack of food, Nina was at least grateful for the blanket she'd had in her pack, pulling it tighter around her person as her teeth chattered and her skin rippled with goosebumps. Frost settled upon her brow and lashes, her cheeks were red and her lips were chapped.

Even bloody ink was freezing, rendering it unusable. Not like she could contact her sources anyway, with all the couriers going missing due to the harsh weather.

Fuck W.inter, and fuck M.orristown.

That's when a scarf was draped around her from behind. Bemused, Nina looked up to find B.enjamin standing there, looking ever gallant and chivalrous, even in the midst of death. Though there was no denying the tiredness in his eyes, the weariness of his body, even if he did have better accommodations than most.

"You think this scrap of moth eaten fabric is going to make a difference?" she quipped, never able to utter a simple thank you. Still, she made no move to return it, instead, tugging it forward so she could tie it.

"Don't suppose you have any more of your special reserve you could pull out of your arse?"

last series: I just finished B.and of B.rothers (too depressing to recommend or watch again) and G.arrow's L.aw (which I do recommend and really enjoyed)!

last movie: Uhhhh, I don't watch movies very often tbh, but I think it was J.erry M.aguire, which I complained about to anyone who would listen lol. It was Very OkayTM, but I don't get why it's a classic.

the new governess has been younger than most. younger doesn't begin to describe her. brighter is something that comes to mind occasionally, but doesn't well suit her. sometimes johanna wonders if she is a ghost. the place that she's called home for most of her life is supposedly been around since the eighteenth century. perhaps, she's a ghost come to take it back and she wishes that miss winters would. if the judge got kicked out, then he might get too distracted trying to find a new place to live and she might have a chance at running away. it's surprising that a young spirit like her has been able to survive here this long. the judge seems to squeeze the youth out of everyone who crosses over the threshold.

( she should quit and find a better job. a better place to live. a better student to teach. )

head bowed, the posture she's gotten used to when speaking to her governesses on matters unrelated to education, johanna tries at a little smile. trying to pass as unassuming as possible. miss winters doesn't seem to have the sharp gaze mrs. howe did, but people aren't beyond surprise. if she somehow senses the question she's going to ask, there's no point in asking it at all. johanna can't appear too desperate. then, she might guess why.

what i love about the w.inter soldier is that it just starts showing you that steve isn't just a guy in a suit. he has leadership skills, commands respect and is also one man army and why he was chosen for the sup.er soldier project. it also shows the pure raw strength of a super soldier (and even then we know he holds back).

Have you read/watched/played anything new thanks to the rpc this year?

End of year asks: RPC Edition! I wouldn't say particularly it's because of rpc but I will share that since I got into m.ass effect in march. (i never thought i'd ever get to play it. but thanks to my brother, i'm into it) i kinda really grew to love tali, male (mostly renegade) and female shepard, and now k.ai l,eng and miranda--i kinda wanted to write them. let's not forget maybe aria. i also saw w.akanda forever a week before c.hristmas and even though k.illmonger was there for a very few moments he stole the entire scene and i've loved him since and he also became someone who i've given consideration about writing once i get to know more about him. i honestly dont know why people said that movie sucks. it's really good. im the sorta person who really doesnt trust ratings most of the time when i see them, i go and experience things for myself and then i make the judgement. Since I've played R.E8 Village I've fallen in love with nearly all of the lords, and daughters and i've fallen for daniela (my favorite d.imetrescu sister) and e.than w.inters.
