So this is the new child and I want to plot with /everyone/ (literally everyone). To sum things up, Mona was born at the Moulin Rouge, her mother was one of the first famous dancers of the place but she died relatively young. Mona was kept mostly hidden, and she left the club when she was thirteen, and became a theatre actress. She swore never to come back BUT she got into trouble, got arrested, and basically is now working as an informant for the Police Prefecture instructed to get close and seduce the people under investigation, in order to pass information. If you want more details, here is my app!

I’m looking for all kinds of plots, but here are some ideas: 

x Family: people who knew her as a child, who knew her mom, old Moulin found family she left behind (can be bitter about it or not)

x Mentors: simone is an actress, “not a courtesan”, she doesn’t know how to seduce someone properly, she doesn’t /want/ to. so i’d love one of the courtesans to “teach” her how to do it. 

x Patrons: THE SHADY ONES! the ones who she has to seduce! But also I’d like someone to get close to her more casually, not out of necessity.

x People who don’t trust her: basically that, people who think it’s suspicious that she’s come back after leaving to become an actress and think there’s definitely something going on. 

x Partners in crime: Mona is very childish, very reckless, and she used to pull pranks and stuff like that. Some friends who are into that sort of thing would be amazing! And maybe some victims that want her pushed down a set of stairs!

okay so talking about the period that the moulin rouge was rebuilding with a few people got me thinking?? babette was absolutely wrecked by the fire and subsequent deaths (as im sure most were), so i think she would have started le salon déchirant, aka the heartbreak salon. aka all staff/performers of the moulin rouge are welcome to meet at either her and evangeline’s apartment or a chosen bar once every week or two to drink, lament, play music etc (realistically this could also spread to some patrons too??). basically its an excuse to be sad together but also to get a little wild and dance around if they want to. any pls hmu to talk headcanons about if/when/how our characters saw each other during this rebuilding period because that’s just rife with some angsty potential

hello starshines! it’s ya girl taryn (aka babette’s player) again, bringin’ you another blonde babe. just like last time there’s a sparknotes on her under the cut. no plots this time because i’m lazy, but when that gets updated you’ll all be the first to know :* 

born into a travelling troupe of performing nomads. think of them as con artists, circus performers, actors, whatever you will. basically they were a bunch of debatably-intentioned thespians 

has never had proper academic learning in her life, instead learned through experience and the array of characters she met

doesn’t at all know who her mother is! a lot of themes in her work (which i will mention later on) has her claiming parentage from venus. obvs that’s bullshit but she’ll still spout it 

genuinely an artistic prodigy. extremely talented at many art mediums, but her greatest passion and main talent is literature - both poetry and prose. but more predominantly poetry

she and her father come to a mutual agreement that he would publish her work under his own name (he himself was a struggling artist) as she preferred that to using a pseudonym. either way, it was about getting her work out there to the masses without the hindrance of her being a woman

long story short: ya girl’s work ends up famous! but her dad takes it too far, starts to feel like somehow he IS the real author, daph starts to resent everything

in the meantime, since they’ve come to paris for her dad to rub elbows with artistic elite, she falls into the salons, hearts, and beds of the local artists. like calls to like, and she fits inexplicably into the crowd

particularly, she begins to have numerous affairs with great artists. married or not, gender-wide, she becomes a notorious muse for all the hepcats around. catch her posin nude in a sitting room every sunday evening. this ends up being her way of living; she stays in their houses for periods, lives off their gifts, etc etc

this reputation only swells, as does her influence, over a few years - the nickname “the dauphine of art” picks up around france, though particularly the central hub of paris as she becomes the inspiration for more and more people

eventually it comes to light that she’s the author of her “father’s work,” which causes a huge scandal. not only is she a woman, she’s a pansexual floozy 

goes by “dauphine” largely tbh

ANYWAY, she’s a dancer at the moulin rouge bc the only thing she can get consistently paid for is dancing lmao. 

sex, art, drugs. that’s what she’s about, not necessarily in that order

EXTREMELY bohemian but can be pretentious about art?? and european ideals??

doesnt work as a courtesan bc her affairs are routed in passion and again, u guessed it, ART. has no taboo around nudity or sex tho 

her main mans..........is apollo. and by that i mean they have no actual working relationship title, but its v clear by the way they act and the amount of time they spend together that they Have A Relationship (a monogamous one? thats a whole other story lmfao)
