#RG @sarahjurgz I like to seem like I have it all together, and if you ask me what I'm doing next year I'll usually make a joke about never leaving Vanderbilt. But I honestly have no idea what my future holds for me or where in the world I'll be, and it terrifies me to be surrounded by so many successful people who seem to have it all figured out. I'm afraid that I'm "failing" by not having a plan for next year, so I've driven myself crazy working on applications for jobs, fellowships and graduate programs all while not really knowing what I want. I hate exposing how scared I am of failure, but I also think it's important for everyone to recognize that what people see on social media is only #halfthestory #vugreek #pibetaphi (thanks @livinlikelarz @halfthestory)

#RG @meils_west The things you typically see on my Instagram represent some of my favorite and most fun things in my life: hanging out with friends, eating at great restaurants, and being involved on this campus. But what I don't show is that no matter how involved I get, I still don't always feel like I can keep up with all of things I see my peers accomplishing and achieving, and that can be really hard. It may seem like I'm always busy with planning for or participating in my student orgs, but I also feel like sometimes it just isn't enough. So many thanks to @vupanhellenic and @halfthestory for encouraging us all to portray another side of the truth on social media-- this is my #halfthestory. #vugreek

@vandyaoii Alpha Omicron Pi is a proud supporter of #halfthestory. The pressure of perfectionism is all too familiar to the women of Vanderbilt and we would like to change this paradigm. At AOII, we are a house full of strong, diverse, and dedicated women who all "exceed the expectation" in our own personal ways.
