10. What's been your favourite interaction throughout your VtM experiences? Can be in game, playing video games.. anything. My favorite character interactions are always those moments of vulnerable realness when you're playing OP creatures of the night. When you're experiencing tenderness and really afraid. Like for example, in my Atlanta Chronicle, Khloe and Ralph were in the Nosferatu Warrens and Ralph stood up to the leadership because he was sick of them demanding he listen to them and respect their arbitrary in-clan codes. While they survived the encounter, they (well mostly he!) still were yelling in the face of a Kindred much more powerful than they. Who knows what could've happened! And when they survived and were kicked out, they got to hold each other and let out the overwhelming emotions together for a brief moment. Because that's what it's all about in the end.... despite the horrors you are not alone!

13. Do you have a comfort character? What makes them special to you? Khloe honestly is my comfort VTM OC. She's me mostly so it's nice to "be yourself" and still be liked in your favorite setting... haha!

19. Which character is least spoken about? Speak about them now! I never ever talk about Lyre my Salubri but that's mostly because she's a self indulgent sexy character and while I love her and Blaire's story it's not Tumbles-appropriate. <3 However cute and fun and ditzy and loves to give in (her big trouble flaw haha!) and it's fun to be!! She diablerized her sire through a consensual sex ritual, got kicked out of the death cult she had been ensnared in, got captured by Tremere and driven into the Colorado Rockies where their secret pyramid is, and was rescued by a Sliverfang werewolf! Who is now her boythang. :3

Let's all dive into some of the Veronica's backstory!

And thank you for your patience hahaha, here are my answers:

3. Are they more “traditional” or do they break barriers?

no she isnt much of either traditional vampire nor toreador...

she is very humane and she likes people and she goes along with the technology update and people's fashion/habbits changes

she kinda looks pretty much typical for toreador but she isnt as full of herself and high art/high society as you'd expect typical toreador to be...

here i made little chart that i found for her

she actually never was accepted kindly by most of toreador clan in the city, she was embrased in (Chicago), halfly bc her Sire waslone wolf among toreadors, halfly bc she herself didn't fit their standarts and she didn't like their mean attitude

and after that and so on she kind of didn't get to join any other toreador group from other cities too

she has lots of friends and allies from different clans though! lots of gangrels and brujas among them for some reason XD

she also has friends in camarilia and anarchs, been there and there too, kind of playing in both feilds i guess

5. Who is their sire?

William Moore (he/him lesbian) in the past, changed to nowdays Kellen Moore (they/them nonbinary)

they used to be harpy of Chicago, they were looking after masqarade maintenance and getting rid of witnesses etc

you can read more about them if you go through my older posts, tagged as "moore"

6. What was their relationship to their sire? Were they close in any way or mere strangers?

First Veronica didn't like him much bc he dragged her into hell of being vampire, but overtime she grown softer and softer to him

then they became a couple, you could say they were close yeah... 😏

Veronica's humanity went lower from becoming vampire and learning how to hunt and be vampire and such, but over time when she learned that she wants to still know and understand humans well, her humanity went back up

Veronica and William were together for few dacades, untill the incedent around 60s

the incedent was when Veronica charmed some dude to feed on him in his apartment (charming humans for food didn't count as cheating for Veronica and William, as long as it is not long term relationship), and she drank his blood but he didn't forget as much, and whats worse, he turned out to be conspiracy and monsters entusiast, and he realized she is a vampire and he was so excited and over his head about it and wanted to call his friends entusiasts, Veronica panicked and didn't know what else to do but bite him again and drank him out to death

scared and shocked from what she did she called William to come and help clean this mess (especially since its his feild of expertese). William and his two ghouls arrived(he has old gay couple as ghouls btw... well they look young-ish but in modern days they are pretty old...) ghouls were cleaning the evidance and getting rid of the body, while William was trying to calm Veronica down and support her, bc she was pretty psyched that she killed an inocent man

William tried to convince her that she did the right thing, that saving the masqarade was more important, Veronica was still hysterical and said something about that it is easy for him to say, considering how many people he killed after embracing her (more of that here). William never told her about it but she found out herself... He said "I did this for you" and she answered "no. you did it for yourself." anddd... that was a break point in their relationship, they broke up

Both were mad at each other for a while

Veronica couldnt find a porpose for herself and was drowning into apathy and depression and was just slouching about for some time, then she met a group of anarchs who were passing by and stayed in the city for couple of days. One of them flirted with her, they talked a bit and he jokingly offered her to join them, she said she needs to think about it, and next night she really decided to put everything behind and run away with anarchs bc she was sick of camarilia anyway, and so she did

her Sir sure did get in some trouble for the fact that his childie joined anarchs, he was partly upset but partly thinking that maybe it is for the better, and considering if it wasn't fair to hold her on the leesh

after some traveling and more life experience Veronica still was thinking about William and experience that she had, and at some point she decided to write him a letter, to ask how is he doing and confess that now, after time passed she understands that he was partly right on that horrible night, about saving masqarade and all that, tho she wishes she could find a better way to resolve the situation back then etc

and so they slowly started talking again, little by little fixing their relationship into friendly

later on in 80s William helps her rejoin camarilia, when she asked for shalter from sabat in New Orleans. William called toreodor premogen of New Orleans - Adzone, and asked him if he'd accept Veronica in the city. After looking at Veronica up and down Adzone smiled and confirmed to other heads of New Orleans that she's worthy of joining (who know what he saw, or what thought he read! he is an ancient ass vampire who diablored A LOT of vampires in his past c: )

in 90s after apocalipsis almost happened, Veronica felt especially need to go see people she loves, so she visited Moore in Chicago - at this point after almost the end of the world, he quit his harpy job and was having existential crisis. They caought up pretty well (but only as friends) and Veronica brought them a gift - a computer! she started teaching them how to use it and convinced them that using new technologies is a great thing, also introduced them to some new gender terms she learned from newer generations of people

nowdays they are still friends and chat online more or less frequently

Veronica still feels romantic longing for her Sire, but she thinks that it is her bloodbound, and she is always conflicted about her feelings towards them, bc she doesnt like the thought of blodbound dictating her emotions and feelings and she worries about it not being sincere

She doesn't know that her bloodbound is gone long ago. she just still has aching heart for them, and probably alwyas will, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

1. What clan is your OC? Tremere! He's not happy about it!

4. What generation are they? 9th!

5. Who is their sire? A Tremere infernalist that went by the pseudonym "Mahaziel." He never learned the guy's actual name.

7. How did their sire treat them? REALLY REALLY POORLY. Nathaniel was subject to all sorts of infernal fuckery, and came out of the experience with a mastery of the Path of Pain and a supernatural addiction to self-mutilation that will never go away.

9. Do they have a childer? Yes! His name is Dorian, and they hate each other. Rightfully so. Dorian was one of the aforementioned "Hermetics Embraced to inflict shared misery," and you can imagine what that means about how they feel about one another.

48. Detail things about your OC you spent a lot of time on! OH BOY. Lots. I went digging through a lot of oooooold books in order to fully flesh out Nathaniel's kit (His big secret that was revealed dramatically in the game he NPCed in was that he is a master of the dark Thaumaturgical Path of Pain, with mechanics pulled from the Sins of the Blood book from 1st ed. The scan of that thang is TERRIBLE). I also spent a lot of time using him as a rumination on what it means for a Mage to be embraced, and the depths of desperation and self-loathing that can drive someone to--as well as what it would take for someone like that to either redeem themselves, or burn the fuck out in a nihilistic blaze of glory. He ended up going the former route, which is funny because from the BEGINNING he was slated to die terribly (and possibly be a boss fight), but my players were determined to help him out.

4. What generation are they? 9th! I think I have a bias...

5. Who is their sire? Ars Versum, a Tzimisce elder that went the controversial route of mastering Koldunic Sorcery, and then pursuing mastery of Vicissitude. He had a love of music and a strong desire for a family to call his own.

7. How did their sire treat them? Like more than a Childe, but as his actual child. Ars Versum was very much like a father to Ars Caelum, and despite knowing now that Ars Versum did many terrible things, they will never be able to hate him.

9. Do they have a childer? Nope!

48. Detail things about your OC you spent a lot of time on! Caelum was also an NPC that got elevated to blorbo status, via a completely unexpected turn of events in the VtM game I ran that saw them being rescued by the coterie and rehabilitated. I spent a lot of time ruminating on Caelum's themes of need for familial love and struggle with grief and forgiveness, and essentially where they would go forward from a point where I honestly expected them to die. Their beloved sire was a boss fight for the coterie, after all! And the end of a very long and bloody story arc that gave the coterie little other choice. They're a deeply human person shaped first by the love of a very inhuman sire, and then by the love of an unlikely partner and friends--and a lot of their side-story dealt with how they processed their grief and moved on to learn to love their new family. Shoutout to @ollieanderr and his determination to hook up with that freaky fish enby and accidentally create one of the most beautiful NPC side-stories I've ever STed for. Asa/Caelum will reign eternal.

21/46/47/48 For Ana and Mihal (I have a weakness for codependent Tzim child/sire duos, what can I say).

And 14/26 for Eliza but about her being a ghoul.

hELL YEAH BUDDY.

Apologies ahead of time this is gonna be a Lot Of Text because I ramble hard. I tried to keep it brief but... it is clearly impossible for me to keep things brief. Also spoilers for future Limits of an Invitation/Project Cadmus stuff-ahoy! Nothing earth-shattering, but if that's a concern I wanted to flag that right off the bat in case there's anyone who wants to go into the fic blind. But with all that being said, let's dive under the fold and chat some tzims and their very "fortunate" ghouls!

21 Mihal/Ana - Predator Type This has changed/evolved for both of them over time based on what was available. Words from ST Roan on Mihal: “Word of god says predator type is a game term that is great for creating newer vamps but not narratively necessary or universally applicable to elder npcs… That said, since coming to America Mihal’s go to types are Osiris and Siren. Especially Osiris in Hollywood era. Before was often, but not always Montero, when utilizing ghouls since that’s common for old school tzims.” Valeriy would've been Mihal's main guy for netting dinner-- he's been doing it his entire life as a Grimaldi, he (was) a turbo-pro, 10/10 would doordash again. The NY->Hollywood scene was a constant churn of cult creation/destruction around whatever vanity project the two were making/beefing over at the given moment. Now in Fairhaven, he's a lot more lowkey so def more of a Siren than Osiris these days. Ana is a Blood Leech through and through. While he can settle for human blood, it has never slaked him unless it's a Rev or another kindred. His early days he remained bound to Mihal and supplemented his diet by tapping the schlacta/ghouls on the estate, as well as whatever poor sucker he could rip into traveling through their domain.

When Helena arrived and the pack was formed/as it grew, Ana would cleave more and more from his packmates. Also, obviously, if there was a Cammie lick that needed dusting he always had first dibs.

Now that he has been separated from the pack and Hermia is def not as down to be tapped on a whim as Mihal... Ana may have had to cut some deals with the Fairhaven branch of the Circulatory System to keep his meal plan buttoned-up and to his standards.

46 - Mihal/Ana, What are their Ambitions? 47 - Mihal/Ana, What are their Desires? Popping these two together bc they go hand in hand. Mihal and Ana were both 'freed' from their sires/sabbat expectations in the space of a couple of months. So weirdly, they're at almost identical turning points. Always mirrors, these two! Mihal: FIRSTLIGHT knocked down their doors and dusted their Ductus, as well as gave him a window to torpor their Bishop/his sire Vratislav. For the first time in centuries, he's beholden to no one. 900 years in counting and he's finally earned this 'moment' and he isn't going spend it rashly. Right now he has what remains of the pack, a precarious position hugging the Tower, and an prodigal childe who isn't coming home as quickly as he would like.

He desires stability, but as method of securing his own agency and control. He never wants to be subject to another's whims again after being bound to Vrat--to the point of faking partaking in the vaulderie unbeknownst to the rest of his pack. His ambition is securing a legacy that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder if not entirely surpass the true Elders of his bloodline. Which is a tall order when your Grandsire is Vykos, but Mihal isn't known for his humility. So, why not get his childe that city he always dreamed of? Ana: Mihal saw fit to 'cut him off' for a few reasons. First is political-- the FIRSTLIGHT operation left every kindred faction in Fairhaven scrambling. True-Cam heads pissed that the Cam is now mostly made up by ex-sabbat opportunists/anarch dregs. Anarch heads pissed that their leaders sold them out to the Cam when they were so close to taking it down. The two Sabbat packs that rolled over and renounced the Sword of Caine for protection are regarded to only slightly better than the few thinbloods that managed to make themselves useful enough not to get purged-it's a shit time for everyone in Fairhaven rn. Ana was the only one in the pack that Mihal trusted could make it out the other side of a bond while still being in his pocket. Cynically assumes if the remorse doesn't pull him back, the addiction will. Simultaneously, this is also to continue their escalating game of spite. Shortly before the raid, the two had a more-major-than-usual falling out over Mihal's treatment of Roman-- yeah surprise Roman is still alive and kicking as Ana's husbandish ghoul to this day. Yes it's a full can of worms but long story short Ana sticking up for Roman/at times putting Roman *above* Mihal has been the Issue Of The Past Century. Playing second fiddle to a Chisel? Kindly fuck off with that, Darling. Ana shares Mihal's desire for stability, but inverted. Bonds, Pleasure, Love, All Which Keeps The Beast At Bay-- its rooting the self deep into those you serve and who serve you. It's dedication, it's till death do you fucking part. Part of woodworking as a vampire is accepting that you are incredibly vulnerable to the thing you are shaping, that it could destroy you in a blink. He carries that attitude into not just his fleshcrafting but his day-to-day. Sure giving himself over, allowing that vulnerability, is a kind of oblivion, but it's an oblivion he can navigate, that he knows intimately and can maybe even thrive in/manipulate to his own ends.

His ambition? He'd love to know, he's taking suggestions. In the past he'd say cutting his own skyline-- something that he had begun to do when they first migrated to Fairhaven. Two downtown residential towers were drafted by his hand, but he's nowhere near amassing the resources to get another project off the ground in the current political climate. So he's taken in some goddamn pupils to keep the drafting hand limber. Maybe that'll be something. 48 - Something that I spent a lot of time on! Damn! Well, easy answer is the fic. But I think if I wanted to dig in, it'd be the bloodline/character arc timeline that I made that starts with the eldest and ends with Eliza. I spent a weekend reading clanbooks/supplements across editions as well as marinating in the vtm wiki to nail down what themes/trends I liked and wanted to play with as well as general history skimming because I, Mr. Podunk Midwestern Man, got most of my education about 1800's Russia from Chekov plays. Then I just went hog wild on a google doc and peppered my ST with too many questions so I could build out some of my own loresheets. Now I can not only tell you what Ana and Eliza were up to at any given point but also what their parents and grandparents were generally up to. Generational Narratives! I like em! I like the big sprawling tangled up casts even if the majority of them only exist offscreen/in the lore notes.

A fun fact which arose from this: Ana has a cousin who is his age, still breathing, leading an Obertus research initiative on the East Coast. She's wheeling and dealing with multiple Farm teams, funding Renditions in exchange of getting first dibs on any ghouls or suspected tzim that get bagged.

14 - Eliza, How did they initially feel after being ghould? Did they like being reborn into something new or did it take them a while to cope with their new reality? Eliza's first reaction was to compartmentalize the shit out of the situation and move on. It took a day or two for it to start to fully sink in, but overall she adapted well at first. This is mostly thanks to Ana taking a more hands-off approach, so outside of the basics (the blood bond situation and the masquerade of the living dead situation) what she learned and when was in her hands. It's a luxury of having a robust collection of kindred writing a keycard away at the University. Though the first time seeing Ana's 'Garden' definitely had a negative impact on her, throwing the whole arrangement back into question. Especially after learning that the 'Poppy' was Ana's last protégé, as well as the source of her current arm-- it launches her into an existential spiral.

Thankfully Roman turns out to be solid support, he steps into paternal role and helps guide her through it. He tells her that he's spent his time in the garden, that it was terrible and unforgivable, and yet he's sitting here with her today. The situation isn't ideal but it isn't unsalvageable, is his belief. He's seen the full scope of degeneration and growth, and he's convinced that the scales are tipped toward growth. Eliza isn't but also understands that, right now, this is what she has to work with. 26 - Eliza, Do they want to become human again or are they fine as a ghoul?

Eliza goes back and forth. In her darker moments she sometimes wishes Ana hadn't saved her. It's easy to see her life as an unnatural extension when her ghouling was that traumatic, and she is aware that she's complicit to some nasty shit. At the same time, the more she works with Ana and Roman the more desensitized she becomes.

Another major factor is her mother, Alana. She leads a Farm team in eastern Iowa, seasoned to the point where most FIRSTLIGHT hawks know of/have worked with her in the past.

Needless to say Alana Locks In the second she discovers Eliza's been ghoul'd. Full blown Rendition/Conversion team. It's ugly, and almost identical to the Garden/Circulatory System operations she was pissed at Ana about.

She gets out the other side with the general notion of "Its Complicated And I Don't Fucking Know, Dude." But she isn't one to romanticize humanity, not anymore. ... Whew. I think I need a nap.

Yes! When I imagine his voice, I can't think of anyone except CORPSE.

Sex, drugs, and rock n' roll babyyyy. Also reading and caring for his house plants. (He doesn't really use his kitchen so he covers the counters with plants.)

He would be thrilled to get a call at two in the morning to help with a flat tire. But reliable? Eh. Helpful, yes. Not exactly punctual, organized, or responsible.

What faction is your OC? Do they conform to a group or are they independent?

She's an Anarch and because of that, is not close with most of her clan.

Who is their sire?

She doesn't know their real name but they're someone her mother absolutely praised. They were like a god, a deity of some sort to her. Someone with knowledge and wisdom out of this mortal world.

Now that Linda has matured she's aware that her mother was in a cult with a kindred leader but at the time she didn't exactly know better.

What was their relationship to their sire? Were they close in any way or mere strangers?

They were a leader of a cult her mother was in, so yeah, Linda knew them pretty well. She didn't exactly have a personal relationship, until she got embraced. Only after being embraced she realized that this wasn't some divine blessing like her mother told her but instead her sire had some fantasy about making Linda into their kindred wife, which is why she left and changed her name.

Do they easily dispose of bodies?

She rarely kills her pray and has a pretty good sense of self-control. In rare times it does end in death, she has to call her ghoul Ray so that he could help.

Where do they live now as a kindred?

She moved to Los Angeles. Her apartment is like right downtown. Despite her "boos lady" looks her apartment is an absolute mess, my girl wakes up in other's beds most of the time anyways so she doesn't exactly care about her place and she has it mostly just so she doesn't sleep on the street.

Malkavian - Think of your OC as a mortal, pre-embrace. If someone showed them what's going to happen to them, from the night they were turned to now, would they let the embrace happen or would they try to avoid it?

Oh boy. If you were to show pre-embrace Celeste just exactly what was going to happen, she'd know not to pursue that fateful interview. Yeah, she'd do her damnedest to avoid it, but being an investigative journalist and with everything going on in Philly, it would have probably been a matter of how long she can delay her embrace (pretty sure she'd get ghouled at some point at least).

Tremere - What is something your OC wanted and got for themselves, no matter how selfish or high the cost was?

Her big-ticket item is getting out from under her Sire's thumb, but she's still working on that. The most immediate thing I can think of was how useless she felt whenever it came to violence and rather than meticulously pursuing thaumaturgy in hopes of maybe being able to do something, she walked to the friendly neighborhood demon therapist (it's a long story) and got herself into a pact (which conveniently also provided a solution to the problem of her blood bond-enabled blood). Her sire was NOT very happy when she found out.

10. What's been your favourite interaction throughout your VtM experiences? Can be in game, playing video games.. anything.

First of all, I want to say the tumblr of darkness community has been one of my favorite things in my experience! I love the community and how everyone is so supportive of each other in it(plus I get to see everyone’s amazing vamps)!

While doing a chronicle, I would say my favorite interaction would have to be between Lattie and Mina. Lattie noticed Mina looked a little strange (slightly red tint and forming bumps on her head) and tried to be helpful by pointing it out to her. However, Mina did not take this well and was 100% about to bite the finger Lattie was pointing with.

14. Who is the (in character) oldest and the (in character) youngest? Would they like each other?

Lemon is my old lady (from the 13th century) and my youngest would be Hazel (born 1983). They would absolutely butt heads if they met each other in game. They are each very much set in their own ways, but those ways absolutely conflict with each other. Plus, Hazel would remind Lemon of a malk she was blood bonded with that got her into some situations she was not fond of.

20. Is there something specific that influences you for your character creations?

My interests, aesthetics, knowledge of vampires as a whole, and trying to play around with what I know about VTM. Many of my characters play off something around me. Lemon plays off spy movies (a favorite genre of mine), Poe plays off my cringy nature in middle school into high school, Lattie is all about understanding human nature/my interest in anthropology/my love for classics, Hazel is about my love isekais mixed with cult classic tv shows, and finally Florence is based in my historical interest in the witch trails alongside folklore in relation to dominant group fears.

Elara's sire is actually an enigma to most, she herself doesn't know his name, or even his face clearly.

He was a man named Rudolff Weidemann, he resented his vampiric life and yearned for his human life back.

In a way he was almost suicidal, always teetering on a frenzy before he satiated his need for blood, always feasting on the ladies of the night, adorning them as if they were porcelain. He'd never had the urge to kill anyone despite the voices telling him otherwise.

6. What was their relationship to their sire? Were they close in any way or mere strangers?

There is no relationship between the two at all, whether Elara's sire is still well 'alive' (undead?) is unbeknownst to her, having only truly met the night of her embrace and never again.

Though a part of her, even centuries later yearns to know the man who arguably saved her life, it shall remain a mystery lost to the night.
