I feel like Gertrude is one of the most interesting VT characters, and I mean that truly.

She has so much family history. The Gertion and Gertrude names have been a part of their families for centuries. Who knows which number Gertrude is. It's family tradition to wield a crowbar at all times. Her direct ancestors were a part of a mafia. She inherited a hotel from them.

She's also an alien! She comes from another planet. Despite this she has seemingly human parents and has a lot of family members who we have no reason to believe are from Gingeria, so I think it's possible she's adopted.

She changed her name from Margeret Johnson to Gertrude. She has a sister named Thatchery. She has a dead ex-husband. She's a widow!

While she acted pretty excitable when she was younger, as she got older she got a lot more serious but a lot more kind! And her first kid, Billy, held a special mother-son relationship between the two.

She can and will adopt you if you're not paying attention. She is the ultimate mother. She's legally adopted characters on camera before. And if you think it won't happen again you're wrong.

She abandoned a lot of her life when she married Acachalla. A lot of the times it seems like they're struggling financially despite Gertrude being seen living in large mansions in previous videos. She did this for Papa, because she loves him. And despite not having the best relationship, she still makes it work. (Not that there's not problems with that relationship but I think that could be delved into more tbh. I think Papa has shown a capability to be sweet to where he would learn to improve)

Gertrude is also one of, if not the first, Gmod Roleplay characters. She was truly here witnessing it all, developing as a character, and being such a loving person.

In 2016, VenturianTale did a series of videos centered around Animatronics visiting different places suggested by Youtube Comments, usually a store chain.

This isn't unusual for them, as they've done plenty of characters visiting McDonald's, along side other places, but here there was an encouragement to suggest what the next animatronic and place should be.

Yeah, turns out the first of these videos has the most views. I'm honestly pretty surprised by this fact considering Balloon Boy doesn't seem like the most popular character. Personally I thought Golden Freddy at Gamestop had it in the bag.

What we can learn from this:

It's not unknown by VT fans that the channel would milk video successes to all its worth. Anyone who survived through the Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet videos probably know this (hell, even in 2021, their last publicly available uploaded video is a Thanos gauntlet video).

I think the milking of this series can be seen by looking at the releases of the later episodes. Sure, it started with fun comment suggestions, but the last 3 on this list were released significantly after, suggesting that they were made to try and capitilize on the audience that they gained from the first run. Which I suppose did pay off considering Bonnie at Burger King got 1.2 million views.

I do think that this series of videos were, at the end of the day, pretty fun. And a lot of really important lore are in these videos, too! Pretty much all Uncle Ernie related stuff takes place in this series of videos and Chica Visits Pizza Hut is, as far as I know, the only video where Tommy Casket makes an actual appearance.

These videos were always fun to watch on release because they were a lot more creative and always had to have roleplay involved, given the concept of these videos. And after all, that's why so many people love VenturianTale, because of the roleplays

Question: who is Toast and why did they steal my name?

Johnny Toast is a characters from the now-defunct YouTube channel VenturianTale! One of the 2 remaining founding members of P.I.E, the Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaires, he's the grandson of the Wueen of England raised by kicks in American and best friend of other founding P.I.E member Johnny Ghost.

Unfortunately there's little more I can explain without getting into VT, or rather Taleblr as the remaining fan base now calls it all, which is a bunch of wild Lore built up over like 6 or 7 years of Gmod improv roleplay that includes things like Macaroni the dish being a strong hallucinogenic drug and multiple dimensions and alien birds and such.

favourite character forever and always will be Johnny Toast hes just so silly and goofy like that. Now as far as how i discovered this community, my younger sibling actually introduces me to VT's videos way back when (probably in like 2015 or something). She's always good at recommending stuff i'd like- it's always a joke between us that she just hands me her hyperfixations cus she'll show me something and soon stop caring about the thing lmao

anyway i think i can actually remember the first video i watched, im pretty sure it was the FNAF SCHOOL ROLEPLAY! - Gmod Five Nights At Freddy's Animatronics Mod (Garry's Mod) - YouTube video (which is 8 years old now ooughjhh)- did i have any clue what the hell was happening? No not in the slightest! but i was FASCINATED.

So yeah, naturally i have a tumblr and look through the tags occasionally and mayhaps even indulge in some fanart time to time. the VT hyperfixation sits at the back of my brain ready to randomly resurface every 2 years like a sleeper agent. so thats cool.

Its Venturiantale! Its technically a family gaming channel considering the guys in it are siblings? I mostly draw about their much much older videos which are mainly gmod roleplay of these group of ghost hunters called PIE (Paranormal Investigators Extrodinaire). If you want videos with only them in it you can just search that on youtube, im sure theres a playlist with all (or most) of the videos including those guys
