I hope Fallenfox is okay. Sure she's an adult but Snake's her mama too. She seemed quite upset to have her potential apprentice taken from her, I hope it didn't cause too much tension between them.

Thankfully there have been no fights between the two, they both have just been distant. Fallen is upset but she doesn’t want to argue about it cuz she knows Snake’s been having a hard enough time already :(

The insect was baffled and, to be quite honest, offended by such an insult. [H-How dare you-]

“‘Come on, Snakevalley! You should kill yourself right now! Everyone hates you!’” The cat mocked. “At least come up with something more original than that!”

[You… Don’t have a way out of this. Not that easy.] The moth, shrouded by darkness, regained her sense of superiority. She gazed down at the tiny cat, trying to seep the flow of fear into her blood. “Sorry, I have to assign the morning patrol!” Snakevalley scampered away. “See you later!”

Idk if anyone’s noticed, but I somehow messed up the seasons in my clangen notes, because Vespidclan here started out in leaf-fall and not newleaf like it normally should for some reason.

Snakevalley DID die on M29… but she died from heat stroke, not deathberries. However, in Vespidclan canon, it’s currently leafbare, not greenleaf or newleaf. and if I have her die from heat stroke during leafbare, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense since it’s, like, cold :v

(You CAN actually get heat stroke even in cold climates from physical activity but I thought it wouldn’t have been impactful nor make sense for readers. Snakevalley was an important character after all!)

The change I made was a decision made by ME! and only ME! There will be consequences and it will drive the story forward as we shall see in the next part. Remember; we know there is no ‘real culprit’ (except 404 cough cough), but the Vespidians don’t :’)

Assuming you’re talking about what happened with Snakevalley… she just found out what her place is in the world.

Snake had a difficult kithood, she had to watch her mom grow distant from her and the clan. There was an increase of violence and fighting in the clan that caused her sisters to run away, right after she became an apprentice.

Then she grew up and became deputy of Vespidclan. She’d later become a mother and have a family. Even through the fights and the hardships, she’s remained positive, all this time, she’s had faith.

And now that faith is gone—She’s script, a speck, a lifeless digital body working as the game intended her to work. Everything she’s ever worked for was just made up.

This otherworldly being has told her the terrible nature of her reality and she has to live with it now.
