I’m back with more slightly disturbing thoughts about transformers.
Ok listen.
I think cybertronians should be more freaked out by the fact humans eat other living things.
Like come on, bots only ingest energon which is inanimate crystal juice, they’re regularly grossed out by normal organic functions, and you’re telling me they don’t bat at eye at the idea of their friendly little Sentient companions straight up killing other animals and eating them??? I feel like that should def cause more cognitive dissonance for them, esp autobots since they actually get close to humans.
Like I can see them being grossed out but accepting of the fact that wild animals eat each other- they are WILD animals and all, not exactly sentient or even necessarily intelligent after all. But HUMANS? The organic creatures that are the closest to them (going by tfp standards where they don’t mention many other organic species) in terms of structure and emotion and intelligence?? That has to be concerning on some level to them.
Referencing tfp and MTMTE where they have scraplets and sparkeaters, i feel like that’s what they’d kind of associate it with which would freak them out more. God forbid they hear about how common cannibalism is in survival situations, I don’t even know if they’d be able to sympathize the slightest bit with that considering as far as I know cannibalism Isn’t Really A Thing for them. That’s a thought in of itself tbh, would they be able to reckon with the concept of being so hungry you’d eat people you know, when it’s physically impossible for them to do that? How do you rationalize the choices others make in desperate situations when you know you’d never have to make that choice anyway and you’ll never have their perspective on it?
Anyways, I’m entertained by the idea of them being able to ignore stuff like nuggets or patties considering it doesn’t look recognizable as what it is but being downright repulsed by steaks, especially if its bloody or has bone visible. They don’t like the visual reminders of their sweet little organic friends consuming flesh and blood. Too freaky for them.
#transformers#tfp#mtmte#transformers prime#maccadam#love those things about transformers finding little details about humans to be unsettling#their teeth being flat and boxy#vs some of ours being sharper#made for tearing flesh#they think it’s hilarious seeing a human tear at a Turkey leg like a dog#until they remember that it’s a Turkey’s Leg. like an actual animals dismembered leg#it’s cooked but the realization that they’re gnawing on skin and flesh and bone#all of which humans have#is very sobering#and kind of creepy#actually very creepy#and the more they think about it the worse it gets#I desperately want to wind this into a humanformers post#about them pushing it down until not only do they have to recognize this fact#but they have to go through with it too#😁 fun times for all

One final Never Have I Ever love triangle thematic analysis
I've said this in one of my posts before, but the narrative is always going to favor what is best for Devi. A lot of what makes this show so juicy to dive into is because so much of its meaning is rooted in symbolism and higher concepts, not just the individual interactions you're looking at onscreen!
I think that's what doesn't work for some (not all) pro-Dxton anti-Ben folks. They see Paxton being respectful and kind to Devi, they see that he's the attractive object of her desire from day 1, and they see that the two of them genuinely do connect and help each other in certain ways. But when these same people look at Benvi, they only see Ben making obnoxious comments to Devi (+ others), they see childish behavior and mistakes being made, and they see them frequently butting heads due to their shared competitive nature.
And honestly? I get it. These conclusions are easy to come to when you're looking at the surface, but they don't take into account the full story that's being told.
Let's get into it. 😎👇
So I mentioned the idea of what is best for Devi. Not what is best for any regular person out there -- what is best for Devi Vishwakumar! Our girl expresses in no uncertain terms that she enjoys her hypercompetitive rivalry-turned-bond with Ben ("Ben's smart and we talk- mostly argue- for hours!" // "I don't want to break up with Ben. He really pushes me.") The fact that they fight and compete is not a detriment to their compatibility, it is actually the thing that makes him most desirable in her mind. She would not have wanted to be with him in the first place if this were not true. Their sharp-tongued communication style may not be the standard picture of a 'healthy' relationship for most people, but, well. Devi and Ben are far from most people.
Devi is an incredibly emotional, dynamic person who's always searching for another high. The competitive nature of her relationship with Ben is enough to satisfy her itch for novelty/excitement (her differences with Paxton don't hit this box), yet Ben's presence also provides a comforting long-term consistency in her life. He's seen the very best and the very worst of her and he always comes back. He frequently brings Devi back to herself, too, when she loses sight of what matters (friendships, family, sense of self, her goals, etc).
Then there's the dream vs. reality dichotomy that very much applies to this love triangle. Simple as it may be, it's accurate. I believe it was built that way on purpose because of how well it reflects Devi's relationships to Mohan and Nalini, which is the beating heart of what NHIE is all about. One (Mo/Pax) is more outwardly palatable than the other and provides an easygoing, self-soothing escapism that she needs in order to work through her grief. This person represents youth and the rose-colored past; Devi's tendency to idealize and indulge. The other person (Nal/Ben) is sharper around the edges, a bit harder to swallow, but pushes Devi to do better and supplies the support she needs. This person represents Devi's grounded reality; her time in the present and the woman she is growing into.
They are both important pieces in Devi's journey, but the themes of past vs present speak for themselves. The past is something we keep close to our heart- in this case, it's someone who has impacted us that we'll always carry with us. But the ultimate goal is to move forward from that. The central relationship of Never Have I Ever, in my opinion, is that of Devi & Nalini as they heal and grow together. In terms of Devi's romantic life, her relationship with Ben is the one that more closely shadows the series arc between her & Nalini.
I'd like to address some things by the individual season now. One of my observations watching s1 for the first time was that Paxton was usually aligned with bad things in Devi's life, whereas Ben was aligned with the good. e.g., Paxton was in some way the source of Devi's falling outs with El/Fab and Nalini; Ben is the one who repaired those relationships. These things aren't Paxton's fault, nor do I place any blame on him. They're just subtle narrative choices that send up unspoken flags saying, hey look, this isn't the right person for her. This theme was left behind in s1 for the most part, but given that it was NHIE's debut season, it planted several seeds for me about who the boys were for Devi and how they fit into her world.
Season 2 does a lot to sort out the difference in what Devi thinks she wants (Paxton) and what her heart truly wants (Ben). Yes, I'm going there, too: head vs heart. Devi's underlying preference for Ben > Paxton should be easy to spot as early as 2x01 -- if only for the fact that Devi finally bagged the hot guy of her dreams, and yet, choosing to be with him isn't easy for her. In fact, as both Devi and Eleanor confirm later, she wanted to choose Ben in the first place. Like... that is crazy when you think about it!!! Despite all the pieces falling into place for her and Paxton, and against her friends' shallow advice, she decides that she won't let go of Ben. Instead, she makes the misguided decision to date both. This isn't the kind of mistake she'll ever make again. It isn't Devi acting out because of Ben -- it signals a profound attachment to him when, all things considered, picking Paxton should have been a no brainer. That revealed everything I needed to know in order to understand that being with Paxton wasn't what she wanted in her heart of hearts.
Then, of course, 3x10 brings that all home with the stomach knots comparison. It tells us that, ever since Devi and Paxton moved into a place of genuine friendship, with him no longer on a pedestal, those romantic feelings (esp. on her part) have dissipated. As a bonus, Devi even explicitly states that Paxton was a dream! Ben, however -- her flawed reality -- is the one who still gives her butterflies. This is the result of Devi's slow awakening to her true inner self, the Devi who values realness and authenticity and loving through imperfection. It's a step closer to the complete acceptance of herself. (Notice as well that right after this point, it becomes more undeniable than ever that Ben is who she wants to be with.)
As long as Paxton was a romantic possibility for Devi, their relationship was tied to her feelings of insecurity and inferiority. Again this is not Paxton's fault -- he assures her of the opposite all the time -- but this is Devi's story, and we are shown over and over that Devi fears true vulnerability with Paxton (both sexually and emotionally). Compare this to the way she has always felt confident, seen, driven, and unabashedly herself in her relationship with Ben, even when they were enemies. At a glance Devi may appear to act more immature in Ben's orbit, but the truth is that she grows with him more than anyone else (besides Nalini) thanks to Ben's penchant for encouraging accountability and showing her that actions can have consequences.
Anyway, TLDR version:
Paxton = Devi's youth, Mohan, grief, distraction, the past, idealism, and the head (constructed ideas).
Ben = Devi's future, Nalini, healing, confrontation, the present, reality, and the heart (authentic truths).
Never Have I Ever's romantic story structure rests on the premise of these symbolic definitions. They are gospel, and while the characters will grow and change and become better versions of themselves, they will do so within the lines that are already drawn. The lines exist for a reason -- they are a narrative tool! These characters cannot and should not 'grow out' of their roles because those roles are their identities within the show's framework. The characters are exactly who they are meant to be right through to the end. They are symbols. If that's not your cup of tea then so be it! But there's nothing wrong with this writing style. In fact it's one of my personal favorites because everything is so neatly defined, yet fascinating to read into 🥰
The imperfect Ben had to be Devi's true love because her love interests are, in a way, reflections of herself. By no fault of his own, Devi always felt the need to be "perfect" for Paxton because that's how she viewed him; a false paragon of everything she wanted to be. That is the point of their story together. Her acceptance of the deep love she has for Ben (and Nalini!), despite his sometimes off-putting demeanor, is aligned with Devi's acceptance of her own imperfections -- that she is hot-headed, she can be self-absorbed, she acts without thinking and makes mistakes -- but that she is also brilliant and driven and caring and radiant, and she is equally worthy of receiving the love that she has to offer others.
Narratively speaking, it was never truly a competition.

I did not sleep well, though my bed was comfortable enough, for I had all sorts of queer dreams. There was a dog howling all night under my window, which may have had something to do with it; or it may have been the paprika, for I had to drink up all the water in my carafe, and was still thirsty.
3 May
Then a dog began to howl somewhere in a farmhouse far down the road—a long, agonised wailing, as if from fear. The sound was taken up by another dog, and then another and another, till, borne on the wind which now sighed softly through the Pass, a wild howling began, which seemed to come from all over the country, as far as the imagination could grasp it through the gloom of the night. At the first howl the horses began to strain and rear, but the driver spoke to them soothingly, and they quieted down, but shivered and sweated as though after a runaway from sudden fright. Then, far off in the distance, from the mountains on each side of us began a louder and a sharper howling—that of wolves—which affected both the horses and myself in the same way—for I was minded to jump from the calèche and run, whilst they reared again and plunged madly, so that the driver had to use all his great strength to keep them from bolting. ... The keen wind still carried the howling of the dogs, though this grew fainter as we went on our way. The baying of the wolves sounded nearer and nearer, as though they were closing round on us from every side.
5 May
Something made me start up, a low, piteous howling of dogs somewhere far below in the valley, which was hidden from my sight.
24 June
A good deal of interest was abroad concerning the dog which landed when the ship struck, and more than a few of the members of the S. P. C. A., which is very strong in Whitby, have tried to befriend the animal. To the general disappointment, however, it was not to be found; it seems to have disappeared entirely from the town. It may be that it was frightened and made its way on to the moors, where it is still hiding in terror. There are some who look with dread on such a possibility, lest later on it should in itself become a danger, for it is evidently a fierce brute. Early this morning a large dog, a half-bred mastiff belonging to a coal merchant close to Tate Hill Pier, was found dead in the roadway opposite to its master's yard. It had been fighting, and manifestly had had a savage opponent, for its throat was torn away, and its belly was slit open as if with a savage claw.
9 August
As funny as the entire 'Whitby residents want to adopt Dracudog' bit is, there's a darker side to it as well. First of all, in the irony of their love being based on a complete misunderstanding of his true nature - down even to the basics. Dracula is almost certainly not transformed into a dog, but a wolf. However, there are no wild wolves in England, and so the locals don't recognize him. This sums up the entire reason he's come here, quite succinctly. Seen as dog (human), really a wolf (vampire). No wolves there (no vampires, no belief in/knowledge of them) and so they don't recognize him (can't defend against them). They want to adopt him - obviously, he has no interest in being adopted as a literal pet, but he does want to be 'adopted' in a more general sense by English society. He spent many long hours reading books and talking to Jonathan to ensure that he'd be able to fit in more easily; if Whitby is any indication, his plans seem to be paying off.
There's also something else going on with dog vs wolf here, though. I pulled a few quotes above about upset dogs. And that's because dogs aren't fooled like the people of Whitby. They seem to instinctively see through/oppose supernatural forces. While the howling on 3 May is from before Jonathan meets Dracula, it happens at the same time as he experiences a night full of 'queer dreams' and shortly after he has "[left] the West and [entered] the East" - in other words, after he has passed out of the modern natural world and entered the domain of older supernatural powers. It's a simplified and kind of racist idea, yes, but symbolically at least, this transition is something emphasized in the text. And the first night in that land, his rest is disturbed partially due to a symbol of civilization voicing its distress.
The dogs get increasingly clearer about this opposition to the supernatural and Dracula specifically. The howling on 5 May happens at midnight on St. George's day, a time when 'all the evil things in the world have full sway', on the night when Dracula collects his treasures from the ground where men have died. This also marks a transition point where Jonathan is fully under the Count's power, fully separated from civilization. And this is even embodied by the dogs' howls soon being drowned out by their wild/supernatural equivalent when the wolves howl louder and sharper. They end up surrounding Jonathan that night, while the dogs sound farther and farther away and eventually are heard no more. And another difference: the dogs howl in fear. The wolves howl "as though the moonlight had had some peculiar effect on them" - a reference to werewolves perhaps, but also, they do this while surrounding and menacing Jonathan and the horses, while hunting them.
The distant dog howling on 24 June marks the time when Dracula is kidnapping a child from the town. Their protest does some amount of good - it helps Jonathan to begin breaking free of the hypnotic trance the vampire ladies have him in - but it doesn't manage to save the child.
And finally, today's dog seems to have tried to defend its home, based on where its body was found. Who knows, maybe Dracula had a passing interest in killing someone there and it managed to dissuade him. More likely the dog just instinctively recognized him for the threat he is as he was passing by and attacked, leading him to kill it in order to be left alone. Perhaps the fact that the English dog is the only one which actually is shown to do more than cry out a fearful protest is representative of the English main characters being the humans who will eventually stand against Dracula rather than be so fully dominated by him. After all, they aren't surrounded by wolves here; it's just the one. But if so, the fact that the dog who tries him is brutally slain by Dracula cannot bode well either. After all, they have no experience with wolves here; they don't know how to fight them.
#dracula daily#count dracula#keep an eye out for future dogs is all i'm saying. dogs and wolves are important#dracula meta#my meta#dracula dogs

Well, all of that definitely turned out to be a very odd night for Rakha. And what's the best thing to do with a Bhaalspawn who's had a weird night and is full of confusion and self-loathing?
That's right! Murder scene investigation!
The whole Open Hand Temple Murder Investigation subplot has come at an interesting time, since it's ended up being a microcosm of Rakha's overall internal struggle of Good Deeds Vs Bloodlust. For Wyll and Jaheira, she wants to investigate who killed Lorgan and see them brought to justice, and the refugee scapegoat's name cleared.
But the beast in her head is also deeply excited about seeing where all the blood was spilled to the glory of Bhaal the Murderlord.
The basement, unfortunately, certainly delivers on the blood aspect. There's a long trail of it from the ladder to the kitchens all the way back to what appears to be a small chapel of some sort beneath the main temple.
This, it seems, might have been the murder location, as the blood is most heavily pooled here.
There's also a few documents to contribute to Rakha's increasing understanding of Ilmater doctrine:
(A/N: NGL I kind of like this as a description for depression. "Dulls but does not pang... [a] miring net... dampening all errant thoughts and feelings in its wake." I also like that they're basically describing therapy here. "The weary soul knows itself better than you can."
I'm not entirely sure a devout of Ilmater would be the most comforting therapist in the world, but at least they're trying. XD
Also I'm fairly sure there's a minor bug in this quest. Hector found the tunnels by accident via a side room, but you're supposed to be able to open the main passageway from here by interacting with the Heraldic Signs on both sides of the far wall. I'm fairly sure that they used to pop a perception check when you got near them, but they don't seem to do that anymore, so there's no real obvious way to figure out that they're interactable unless you happen to run your mouse over them by accident. Anyway, for our purposes we'll pretend there was a perception check, because Rakha is observant. XD )
Rakha remembers that both Lorgan's corpse and Brilgor's mentioned something about Lorgan hiding refugees in tunnels down here. This room, in and of itself, is definitely not a tunnel - though she suspects it might have served as a place of worship for those Brilgor was helping - so there must be an entry point to the tunnels in question somewhere nearby.
She examines the bloodsoaked altar. (Flashes of images in her head - blasphemous rituals in Bhaal's name, a victim sprawled on another altar with her dagger in its heart...) Keen of eye and good at extrapolation as always, she realizes that one spatter is set off from the rest, up against the room's back wall, a seemingly blank stretch of stonework.
Her eyes track from the stain up along the wall, looking for loose bricks, any sign of an opening - and light upon the metal plates on the wall, loose from their moorings. Shoving one upwards--
Progress.
The room beyond is much more tunnel-like -- a cavernous passageway smelling of saltwater from a river rolling below, and blood from the progression of stains leading away from the chapel. And further along the path, they hear something unexpected: voices.
Refugees Lorgan hid, Rakha assumes at first, but it only takes a moment to realize that's not the case:
"Keep an eye out, brethren. It must be here somewhere." "We never get the fun jobs, Zomm." "Be patient, child. Soon..."
"Why does Dolor get all the finest weapons?" "You are a weapon, my sweet." "A sharper one than Dolor. He spends too much time with his prey. He's going to get us caught." "Dolor is an artist. You'd do well to think on that."
"Well, what now, sir? We go check his place?" "Perhaps. We'll take one more look here, then move on to the Flophouse."
Low, cruel voices. Voices in search of something. Rakha takes a step forward, just enough to bring her into the light - and is given no choice to decide whether to indulge the beast's automatic urge for murder, because the three men standing among the blood pools attack first.
"Brethren in blood! Kill them!" one of them howls, and something in Rakha's head screeches in answer as she rains down fire on the whole cave.

re: chirlies rejoicing that pgasly said c2 aren't friends, the chirlies are rejoicing bc, well a fair amount hate carlos for various reasons but it's a combination of (1) bc the ferrari civil war is ongoing (2) the way ferrari has pushed c2 content to paper over their own shortcomings (3) chirlies being accused of being fake tifosi bc they don't like carlos and they should support both drivers, (4) adding to the prev point, c2 fans will often point to how c2 are friends and like each other as to why they should both stay at ferrari and chirlies should stop hating on carlos (vs how the chirlies want carlos out after 2024)
imo, i think chirlies are just on edge bc charles' contract hasn't been renewed yet and carlos is allegedly pushing for a 2 yr deal. personally, i don't hate carlos, he's just kinda there but 2022 & 2023 has kinda shown the limits of the partnership bc they just want different things from the car so i think it's better for everyone to turn the page come the end of 2024 for c2
fascinating ok before i give u my understanding of what was said here and which wud prolly turn a 1950's lancia engineer to dust like the sentence 'chirlies are just on edge bc charles contract hasnt been renewed yet' alone has been radiating thru my skull like a concussion for like 20 mins
I'm starting to c that a lot of sharl fans are very threatened by carlos and his influence on the team and again, from what ur telling me, the fact that he wants different things from the car than sharl is a problem and so .. basically .. for sharl to win a championship, which as a fan thats what u wanna c happen, carlos needs to go. Like thats where the animosity comes from, right, that Carlos is an obstacle to sharl's success or whatvr. If that is it, in my opinion not only ur overestimating Carlos, ur underestimating sharl and by a gross amount, btw. IF bald man is telling the truth and the car is gonna be sharper, better suited to oversteer, ((faster)) and they're working on their strategy, and the pit wall and stuff and actually becoming a title contending team, dont u think this hierarchy of 1st and 2nd driver will be forced on carlos whether he likes it or not? Because its kind of inevitable, and it'll be up to him and his management to fit into that role, not the other way around. Sergio Perez and his dad earlier this year were floating prost and senna conversations. And we know what happened, and of course it happened. We know there was never a point where Max was slower than Checo, just like sharl has never been slower than Carlos. So if theres gonna be a car, in these current regulations, capable of winning the title, sharl will be the one who has better pace wid it. Because hes just faster, his setups are faster, he knows how to extract more from the same car. Carlos winning in Silverstone, Singapore, is literally him doing his job, scraping the success he can out of a messy, unfocused, somehow well positioned Ferrari team, wid the tools he's given at the time, just like any other ((self respecting)) driver wud btw. Bro if Carlos ever thought he cud be a 'first driver' is because Ferrari let him, and I refuse to blame him for that. Not even 'blame' like hes doing his fucking job hes a competitor. When teams are strong the roles drivers play become better defined and they either put up or shut up. I cant even envision a Ferrari where sharl has some type of dominant machinery to work wid and Carlos is still a threat in any way lmfao
'the way ferrari has pushed c2 content to paper over their own shortcomings' totally get that, like thats been their literal marketing strategy for years and personally I dont like it either I think its unserious especially for a brand like ferrari to appeal to ((mostly female)) new audiences just thru the like parasocial angle of hey do u wanna fuck our drivers cool heres them doing charades and almost kissing like ur literally one of the most established most recognizable brands in the world moving like HYBE. ok.
'chirlies being accused of being fake tifosi bc they don't like carlos and they should support both drivers' bro I find carlos whole dynamic wid ferrari and tifosi and like that whole establishment so interesting and kinda brutal when u think about how hes paired up wid il predestinato whose like suffering and unfairness in this world is literally part of his brand and puts him and his fans on the defensive against everybody else. Like Sainz fans just gotta learn to pick their battles bro. Carlos is doing a job at Ferrari, the other guy is fulfilling a prophecy lmfao.
'c2 fans will often point to how c2 are friends and like each other as to why they should both stay at ferrari and chirlies should stop hating on carlos' I .. are c2 fans all 12 years old idk what else to say about this. Its gullible and seems like those people dont know exactly what they're engaging wid but thats not their fault again its how the sports being marketed
In conclusion sharl definitely gonna re/sign and prolly for a fucking insane amount of money because like carlos is not even top 5 of shit Ferrari needs to address so they can win a championship and they know first order of business is to make sharl happy and keep him extremely employed. Its looking like sharl will get a 3+2 and tbh like I said before, its up to carlos and his management to try and make the best out of a situation where the car is moving away from his comfort zone. A bottas like contract wud be an insult to the Sainz family but idk if they got much of a choice and it'll be interesting to c what happens. Im also thinking like if carlos does leave who wud replace him and why wud they for sure be a better fit than he is
#ask#long post#ty for taking the time to explain this#also other asks who said similar things#'chirlies are on edge' idk why is the funniest thing I've ever read in my entire#life#CHIRLIES ARE ON EDGE ‼️#defcon level chirlie

Spoilers for Green vs Red
This movie was insane
Like a serious ‘what if’ scenario that there are Lupin sleeper agents because of some weird ass unexplained reason
What makes it even worse because it brings up the question of how Jigen and Goemon run with it.
Goemon is very skeptical of the whole ordeal only showing up for a small portion of the movie.
However Jigen doesn’t care so long as Lupin is being Lupin. It’s seen in the end that he is the running away with Yasuo!Lupin in the new car.
It’s way too complicated for my brain to process.
These two are the OGs because ladies I had to break it to you
McDonald’s Jigen is not Jigen it is Lupin (Koichi VA) acting like Jigen
OH THAT IS WHY THE GREEN ONE WAS NAMED YASUO OHHHHHHH VERY NICE
It’s hard to catch the first time but you notice Koichi Lupin’s Jigen has softer features while has softer features while current day Jigen has sharper lines (I see it in the noses)
He looks more like Miyazaki Jigen from Part 2
The break is when this happens
Also is Castle of Cagliostro EVEN REAL?!
If this is to be taken that it was just a movie based on what happened to the gang during the events of our first movie then that means that Fujiko, Goemon, and Jigen were paid actors in the Lupin verse.

SilkClan – Moon 1 By Snakepaw 🐾
Hey there, it’s Snakepaw climbing my way up to the top—literally and figuratively! I’ve been keeping my ears open and paws busy, and trust me, there’s a lot going on in SilkClan that no one’s talking about. Good thing I’m here to break the silence. Let’s get into it, because things are getting interesting.
🌕 Major Events:
Twoleg Nonsense: While I was up in my favorite tree (don’t ask how high), I spotted a Twoleg playing with a kittypet near our border. I swear, it looked like they were trying to teach it to pounce. Good luck with that! The warriors brushed it off like no big deal, but something feels off to me. Twolegs and kittypets don’t just “hang out” for no reason.
Duskkit’s Breaking Point: Look, I get it—being treated like a helpless kit can be a real thorn in the paw. Duskkit is fed up with being babied, and I’m here for it. He’s especially tired of Minkpelt hovering over him like a hawk. Not sure if he’s got a plan to deal with it yet, but knowing him, he’ll blow up eventually. Can’t wait to see how that plays out.
🌿 Warrior Drama:
Larkweb Scares Off a Rogue: So get this: Larkweb basically scared a rogue out of our territory with just his words. Yeah, no claws, no bloodshed—just a stare and some threats. It was pretty epic. But what’s up with Basilstar? She looked like she was annoyed by the whole thing. Maybe she wanted some action? Who knows, but something tells me she’s not exactly Larkweb’s biggest fan.
Wisteriaspeckle and the Chicken: Wisteriaspeckle strutted into camp with a Twoleg’s chicken dangling from his jaws. I gotta say, it was a bold move. But he’s been acting kind of… distracted? I heard him mumbling about Saplingstar and StarClan. Maybe he’s feeling guilty about taking from the Twolegs, or maybe he’s just trying to impress someone. Either way, that chicken didn’t last long—tasted great!
Burrowfleck’s StarClan Musings: Speaking of StarClan, Burrowfleck has been off in his own little world lately. He had another dream, but surprise, surprise—he’s not talking. I saw him staring at the sky like he’s waiting for something. Whatever it is, it’s got him all riled up. And he’s still holding a grudge against Pondquill. Can’t say I blame him after last moon’s fiasco.
🐾 Snakepaw’s Gossip Corner:
"You know what’s been bugging me? I keep feeling like I should be doing more around here. Yeah, I might be young, but I’m not useless. At least Posyclaw is cool enough to listen when I talk about it on patrol."
"Oh, and did you see the way Duskkit snapped at Minkpelt? I swear, he’s going to lose it one of these days. Bet you a mouse he makes a scene soon."
"I overheard Wisteriaspeckle, Burrowfleck, and Posyclaw having a pretty tight conversation by the stream. They’re getting really close, but what are they planning? Makes me wonder if they’re up to something big."
Relationships Rundown:
Crush Alert: Word around camp is Minkpelt has a thing for Pondquill. Seriously? That guy? Well, Minkpelt’s always been a stickler for rules, so I guess they’d balance each other out. Whatever happens, I’m keeping an eye on this one.
Posyclaw, Wisteriaspeckle, and Burrowfleck: This trio is tighter than a thornbush. They’re always whispering about something, and I don’t trust it. Either they’re planning something, or they’re just best friends who love a secret. We’ll see.
Basilstar vs. Larkweb: Tensions are still thick between these two. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a showdown soon. Just saying.
That’s it for now, clanmates! Stay on your toes, because things are only going to get crazier. Until next moon, keep your claws sharp and your secrets sharper.

If I see one more dumbass Twitter user or poketuber claim that retro song used in the Pokémon day presents trailer is from GSC because of Youtube's very flawed algorithm autotagging again-
For reference. Listen to the music.
That doesn't sound like anything from gen 2. Different sound font entirely. Different style entirely. Gen 2 uses more percussive bits, it's generally a bit more complex, and the music is a bit sharper in quality.
youtube
Just as an example from Gold and Silver. For the record, the trailer music appears nowhere in GSC.
youtube
In comparison, this is gen 1 music. Notice how there's a lack of crisp, hard percussion, the music is a bit simpler, and the reverb is stronger.
I might simply be a tad too ADHD and have a hyper focus on a special interest, but if you listen closely you'll be able to hear different sound styles for each game, especially the early ones. Even those that share the same system may focus on different virtual instruments (listen to RSE vs FRLG or DPPlatinum VS Hgss vs BW/BW2 music as examples). Oh, the music is the ending song from Red and Blue for those out of the loop:
youtube
But also like, Youtube's self assigning algorithm sucks. I'm pretty sure they did the same thing to SwSh music once. And I'm very sure I've seen them tag non Pokémon games as Pokémon. You'd think a bunch of Pokétubers on twitter and some on youtube- who make money off of being "Pokémon experts"/milking reddit, twitter, and 4chan for content- would actually know that at the very least it isn't gen 2 music from the sound alone.
Now does that dismiss Johto from happening entirely? Not necessarily. Does that confirm Kanto will happen? Also not necessarily- they use gen 1 for marketing all the time, otherwise we'd be neck deep in several Kanto remakes just from all of the recent music videos and Snorlax hype.
To me, if I were to read this as some sort of "hint," which they often do with even crazier shit that makes Pepe Silvia seem reasonable in comparison to Pokémon fans- I would say there's a slight chance of the og gen 1 games coming to Switch eshop. Slightly lesser chance of og gen 2, and an even lesser chance of og gen 3. As of now, there's no way other than ROMS or the now dying OG cartridges to play these games since Nintendo Old Yeller'd the 3DS, and it's free money, so it'd make sense.
However, as stated, they often use Kanto in every day marketing simply because it's first, and nostalgia is an easy ear catcher, so there's a decent chance this is just attention grabbing, nostalgic background music meant to herald in Pokémon day- I mean, gen 1 music for the day gen 1 first dropped. Makes sense, right?

Match review: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Manchester United
Another game, another struggle, only this time we got the defeat we deserved.
Last time we played, we beat Spurs 2-0 in a performance that was one of the most controlled I've seen from a United team in years. It was clinical, efficient, and assured. Yesterday we saw quite the opposite.
United started brightly and were fair for the first 30 minutes, but as the first half wore on the tactical discipline - or perhaps just comprehension of Ten Hag's tactics - fell away.
Garnacho played like a youth prospect; without discipline or focus.
Antony was incredibly wasteful and drifted inwards so often it forced Bruno to move out wide right.
Casemiro and Martinez seem off the pace still.
Rashford does not want to be CF, for all he says he's happy to do it. He does not have the discipline or know-how.
Mason Mount - what he do?
The second half saw Postecoglou's Spurs sharper, and United fall away. The midfield battle was a whitewash, which put the defence on the back foot and left the forwards unable to have any impact.
Subs of Sancho, Eriksen and Dalot helped matters a little, and late additions of Martial and Pellistri didn't get much chance to impact, but all in all it felt like the end of the road for Erik Ten Hag's current strategy with this first XI.
Midfield cannot control a game at present. Amrabat, or even McTominay, might bring some balance to proceedings. The problem is Mount; he's an ideal rotation with Bruno, or a 10 if Bruno's an 8. We know the captain CAN play as an 8, so why is ETH not pushing that matter?
Beyond that, a lack of a CF is criminal. Greenwood shouldn't return but United also have an injured Højlund who's yet to make his debut (and is 20) and an Anthony Martial who is seemingly fit? but also as reliable as a Tory MP. Rashford is being asked to lead the line as a wing forward who likes to stretch a defence. Two different styles.
We face Arsenal soon but Nottingham Forest are next. Rashford left, Sancho right, Martial no9. Lets see how that works for us. Similarly, fucking buy Amrabat already. He's cheap. We're just bad at sales. Van de Beek's sale is dragging. Bailly is still here despite his fee being £0 for prospective buyers. Williams and McTominay might go. These are all tasks for the pre-season, not post-kick off. We should have the funds from these sales to bring in Amrabat and maybe Pavard. It's frustrating that we're still seeing shortages in the team.
I know, I know, Mount was £60m, you get Amrabat and Pavard for his fee. It's true. I still think he has a lot to offer though and needs time to bed in, to understand. He tries hard, has good technical skill, and I think will perform better than Antony's first season. Pressure is far higher at United than Chelsea though, especially after a tough year with injury, Chelsea's managerial merry-go-round... it's hard to settle mentally.
We're only two games in. This isn't disaster territory. It isn't as bad as last year either. Both our opponents had new manager bounce too. We just have to fix up quickly and click, because Arsenal and Brighton are in better shape than Spurs and will do a number on us. Maybe the old baptism of fire might galvanise the squad, but I don't back these lads under the cosh too much. Plucky game vs Barca? Sure. Underdog vibes, shit's exciting. League vs Brighton, who constantly trouble us? We'll panic or get frustrated and sulk our way out of a gameplan and into a 3-0 panning.

Live Reacting Live Action AtLA - ep 1
Okay, fair warning to y'all, I'm not going to be worrying about keeping this a spoiler-free zone, so scroll on by if you're needing to keep it unsullied for you.
..
That said, I actually kept myself awake to watch the first episode on Netflix when it drops. Watching now, and planning on writing down my (admittedly sleep-deprived) thoughts as it goes on. I'm heading into this pretending it's like a (high budget lol) "fanfic" with good special effects, so that I can allow myself to more easily move past any alterations. Let's goooo..
..
Loving the intense music of the very first scene and... omg are those pigeon-rats? LOL
Okay, this earth-bending is already better than in the little teaser-clip where Zuko/Iroh fight the guards.
Oof, Sozin. Much wicked. Already hate him. Aang. So precious. Already love him.
The Air Temple. Oh my word, I love this. It's so alive. <3 I'm gonna have to take a moment before the "and then the fire nation attacked" bit.
Gyatso telling Aang "always remember who you are." Wonder if Zuko's mom will tell him the same later on like in the animated series.
Awww, we love an Appa-the-goodest-good-boy moment.
Wait, so they just like fire jet up there? To the temple that can only be reached by a flying mount? Lame. I was expecting maybe dragons (since the animated Aang didn't seem to think they were that uncommon), or some climb-y machine. Not a fan of the "firebending = jet propulsion for all" idea. Maybe it's just a comet thing.
Hold up, did he crispy up Gyatso? Gyatso who in the animated series was fairly un-singed and literally surrounded by fire soldiers? I'm not sure I like that either. (And my brain is blocking the obvious fact of all the tiny airbenders in the corner bc *sob*.. though that was a thing that was true from the first one too.)
Awww, baby waterbending! What was she in? Oooh, "whole village" is a bit bigger, and has a name too. I dig it.
Hmmm, no waterbending his iceberg up. Slight disappoint there. Maybe later? Wait, ask and ye shall receive. And the first Zuko scene.
"I hate this, bringing him back is unsafe and dumb." *tosses a fur on top to keep him warm* Very Sokka-ish.
You guys, you guys! We get to hear Katara's Gran Gran telling us the stories of when the fire nation attacked. If someone besides Katara had to deliver those lines, she'd be the next pick. I'm down.
"We're only friends with our own kind." Ah, a nice setup for what will be the stark contrast of the eventual Team Avatar having friends from all 4 nations. <3
Hmm, Iroh doesn't have Zuko drilling basic forms anymore. Instead he has "never been sharper." Clear that this version is leaning towards all things fire being strong. I wonder what it'll mean for his duel with Zhao though.. it was a nice reminder in the original to see how important the basics are vs flashy stuff.
Small moment of sadness for no penguin sledding moment. Ah well. Let's see the new Zuko/Sokka showdown. ;)
Larger moment of sadness for no absolute sass of "I bet I could take you with my hands tied behind my back" moment.
Okay, but Katara gets a bigger moment, so it helps a bit.
Southern Air Temple was quite rushed feeling. Maybe there's more in the next episode? And I hope they do also touch on Aang being excited to learn waterbending alongside Katara. That was important in the first one, I felt like.
..
Overall, I think I'll enjoy this live-action. It's not going to replace the animation for sure, but I'm intrigued at least.

#i couldn't stand keeping it saaadd!!#i offered a solution#danny phantom#dp#dp au#dp x dc#dc x dp#dpxdc#baby halfa jason#jason adopts danny#danny just doesnt know it yet#danny didnt realize that him chirping to jason was basically acknowledging him as an adoptive candidate#danny chirps: ghost? dad? be my dad?#jason chirps: child? baby? my baby?!#both are oblivious idiots#but they're our oblivious idiots
Loving this quite a lot actually.
Danny could figure out he can chirp by just. Being super stressed. Chirps into the void. It's not aimed at anything, it's just a distress noise.
But Danny doesn't have the full-ghost instincts to tell him what the chirping means. He just knows "oh hey I can chirp???" and starts chirping a bunch just to see how many different chirps he can make.
Just for funsies - it's a good distraction from the stress, at least, learning about something new that he can do. Even if it is kind of weird. (He doesn't make the connection between feeling stressed & chirping, he just thinks it randomly happened as his ghost powers tend to do).
Maybe Youngblood chirps at an ally during a fight & they chirp back and pop up to fight Danny together, so he thinks it's just a kind of "hey over here" noise.
So why is Danny in Gotham? Well, there's only a little summer vacation left. And he's kind of irritated that Amity Park is going on a year of being ignored by the JL. He literally had to fight Pariah Freakin' Dark. He though he was gonna die the rest of the way there.
Overall, Danny is not best pleased.
Batman is in charge of the JL from the public's perspective. So Danny, being upset about the lack of aid, decides to go snoop around Gotham. Maybe graffiti some insults.
Maybe change the bat signal to be a giant middle finger.
His parent's think he's with Tucker & Sam until the first day of school - a sort of "last hurrah" for the break.
Then he runs into Red Hood.
He's glaring balefully up at the smog filled night sky from the top of a fire escape when the icy gust sweeps out of Danny's throat, warning of an incoming halfa.
With time spent around Vlad (unfortunate) and Dani (better but sadly infrequent) he's come to notice a slightly different in how his ghost sense reacts to halfas vs full ghosts.
He figures he must have come across Dani on her travels and decides, hey, maybe they could vandalize the batsignal together.
So he chirps.
Out of the corner of his eye, Red Hood freezes in the alley below. The guy he was chasing doesn't stop, however.
There is no answering call, so Danny chirps again.
Danny goes invisible as Red Hood spins around. He thinks maybe he wasn't sensing Dani at all.
So he chirps again, louder and sharper.
And Red Hood's own chirp answers.
He'd tried chirping in lieu of whistling, once, to get Tucker's attention so he could throw him the thermos. Danny can't whistle without using his hands, and they'd kind of been occupied with angry ghost at the time. The discussion post-fight and a bit of testing proved that humans couldn't hear ghost chirps.
He literally did it as loud as possible during class once, and no one so much as blinked.
Red Hood not only heard, but replied.
Red Hood must be the halfa Danny sensed.
...
He floats down to a dead end alley just off the one Hood is in and chirps again, because why not.
Hood practically sprints into the alley, chirping back.
Seeing the guy run reminds Danny that he'd been chasing someone.
He kinda feels bad for distracting him, so he flies up and heads in the direction he last saw the guy go, giving the occasional chirp to keep Hood following.
He only saw the guy for a split second, but having to track down the occasional more-sneaky ghost has given him a habit of remembering key features. Between that and his bird's-eye view of things it only takes a few minutes to find the guy he'd been chasing. A few well-placed chirps aim him in a head-on run at the guy nearly at a corner.
Hood doesn't waste any time tackling the guy and Danny gives a final satisfied chirp before he bolts.
***
He knows he shouldn't find it as entertaining as it is to lead a bloody-thirsty crime lord around on essentially wild goose chases.
But it's fun.
Maybe it's the novelty of being the more experienced halfa for once. Or the novelty of him being the first halfa that didn't try to kill him the rest of the way the first time they met - albeit probably only because he can't see him to do so.
Besides, he is technically helping the guy.
A small bit of stalking observation made it incredibly clear that the guy has no idea that he's a halfa.
So.
Chirps.
Despite his reputation outside of Gotham, the people of crime alley love the guy - at least, the people in his haunt do.
And while blood thirsty is his most common descriptor, Danny thinks maybe it should be "smart."
The extensive territory maps he keeps and the intensive research Danny watched him do to track down a possible lead were...honestly all kind of over Danny's head.
He doesn't really wanna risk getting traced as Danny Fenton just because he talks and the guy somehow finds his voice???
Better paranoid than sorry, Danny thinks.
So, chirping it is. The guy is crazy smart enough Danny thinks he can figure out it's ghosts.
And once he comes to terms with the whole "I'm making ghost noises" thing maybe he'll ask Danny to talk. And Danny will be able to answer without worrying about being hunted down because by then Hood would be sure he's a ghost, and who in their right mind would try to track a ghost to where they live?
They wouldn't, of course, because ghosts don't "live."
Of course the whole "halfa" thing would change that, but by then Hood would know enough about the GIW and AEA to mind his business ala mutually-assured destruction.
Or maybe he'd just be friendly and mind his own business even without M.A.D. given how the people living in his haunt regard him.
Still, Danny isn't going to rely on a maybe when there's ripping apart molecule-by-molecule on the line, thanks.
And okay maybe he's really just trying to justify distracting a crime lord with ghosty marco-polo but it's fun.
*** Aaaaaand it's time to go.
Danny would be leaving Gotham in two more days anyway, but he'd rather not risk it. Hood is getting... worryingly energetic about finding him. And the guy is a halfa.
He doesn't want the guy to figure out his ghost sense & ectoblast in a fit of rage and end up getting shot. Likely? Nah. Possible with his luck? Absolutely.
So Danny goes home a little early.
Two nights later he hears a chirp.
It's Red Hood.
His heart makes a valiant effort to leap out of his chest as he lurches into a sitting position. It's only with the second chirp that he realizes the sound is coming from really, really far away.
Huh. He didn't know they could carry that far.
On the third chirp he finally realizes how distressed the guy sounds. So he chirps back.
The next chirp doesn't come until homeroom the next day. Distracted as he is, he doesn't notice that it sounds closer, just that it's still coming from the same direction and still distressed, if less than before. Again, he chirps back, thankful that humans can't hear it.
The next one comes at lunch, again he answers.
There's one in fourth period, again he answers.
Three chirps sound throughout fifth period, again he answers to each. The frequency is starting to concern him but he can't afford to focus on anything other that the math lecture the teacher decided to jump right in with or grades will be doomed from day one. There are only two and a quater-ish classes left in the day, he'll figure out what's going on after.
Another chirp sounds at the very beginning of sixth period, and by now his reply is becoming more of a reflex.
Three more chirps sound in the first ten minutes of sixth period - Mr. Lancer's class.
As soon as Danny echoes the third, Red Hood practically tears the door off it's hinges and strides in, ignoring Mr. Lancer clutching at his chest and rattling off a book title and the other students beginning to panic in favor of chirping.
Unthinkingly, Danny echoes it back.
Everyone freezes at the speed with which Hood's head snaps to stare right at him.
Danny winces.
"Aren't you supposed to be in Gotham?"
Danny will deny that it was a whine for the rest of his half-life. It was a strategic distraction to prevent Mr. Lancer from something stupid like trying to hit a known crime boss over the head with a paperback, thank you very much.
"Gotham can wait I thought you went and died for a good two days! Then I find out your still alive but practically across the country? Without so much as a goodbye? Or a hello for that matter! I thought you might've gotten kidnapped! Only to find you in a school! I'm glad you're okay kid but holy sh- uh, cow - were you trying to give me a heart attack!?"
The rant gets louder as it progresses, and by the end of it Red Hood is huffing, having not paused to breathe even once.
The sound of him catching his breath is the only one in the otherwise silent room as everyone stares, wide-eyed, between Danny Fenton and Red Hood.
Danny hunches his shoulders, grimacing.
This'll be a hell of a situation to explain away, later, he thinks.
Aloud he says, "Um...no? I'm- I'm sorry?"
He can't see his expression past the hood but he can practically feel the guy squinting at him.
"Definitely sorry," he reiterates more firmly, sitting up straight. "I just, uh, I didn't think you'd care? I mean! I kinda figured it'd be a relief, I guess? Since I was, like, kinda...bothering you?"
He winces, cursing himself for reminding the guy that he'd been annoying him. Hopefully him being worried about Danny disappearing meant he probably wouldn't shoot him.
Despite the distortion, no one could mistake the gusty sigh. Especially not with how Red Hood rubbed his nose through his mask.
When he dropped his hand back to his side...
"You're grounded."
He blinked.
"What?"
"You. Are. Grounded."
"Wh- Bu- That's- you can't ground me!?" He sputtered, leaping to his feet.
"I'm very sure that I can. Because I'm very sure that you're parents will agree that following around a known crime lord is grounds for punishment. Not even counting that time you followed me into a live firefight."
"You can't tell them that! If they find out I left Amity without permission they'll put me in the Fenton stockades!"
"YOU WERE IN GOTHAM ALONE!?" Red Hood shrieked, practically lunging the rest of the way to Danny and grabbing his face - shockingly gently - turning it this way and that like he was checking for injuries.
"Does anything hurt? Did you get hit by anything? Did a bullet graze you? Did you inhale any strange gases!?"
Danny blinked.
Blinked again, grabbed Hood's hands, and shoved them away from his face.
"Oh my ancients I'm fine I was only watching and I stayed on the fire escape for the whole fight with the guns! Seriously, what are you my mother?"
"Forgive me for being concerned about a child sat 5 feet from a shoot out and apparently without an adult in the most crime-ridden part of the most crime-ridden city in the country," Hood hissed.
Paused.
"'Fenton stockades'?"
Danny blinked, shrugged.
"It's basically this big metal human-shaped thing full of spikes - except for the floor, I guess. It's fine as long as you stand still and it's sized for my dad so it could be worse but it still sucks so please do not tell them I went to Gotham. Please."
"...an iron maiden!?"
Danny blinked and shrugged yet again. "Maybe?"
With that, the Red Hood, crime boss of Gotham, serial killer and known enemy of Batman turned and left.
***
There'll be a part two in like. A few days maybe. Gonna finish part two of Actual Scientists Jack & Maddie AU first tho, so like... maybe three or four days
Crack fic prompt go!
Danny is in Gotham for *insert generic reasons* He quickly discovers that red Hood is in fact a halfa like him. He also comes to the correct conclusion that Red Hood doesn't know he's a halfa yet.
Danny decides to help in a completely reasonable way....
By hiding away and making chirping noises at him from the shadows!
It's basically like
Danny from the rooftops: *chirp*
Red Hood: *chirps back* What the fuck!
It goes on like this for days! Red Hood is very confused because, baby ghostling??? Where is baby? He hears Danny's chirps and immediately his core latches on to him claiming Danny as his kid.
Danny doesn't know Jason basically parentally imprinted he just thinks it's funny how confused Red Hood gets when he does it. At least he thought it was funny until Red Hood started searching rather violently whenever he did it.
Danny leaves Gotham for *insert plot convenient reason* Jason is distraught and still very confused. He begins searching thoroughly through everything for even a hint of what happened to his kid.
When his family inevitably asks what the hell he's doing we get a scene like this
Redhood: *sighs* I miss my kid Nightwing,
Nightwing: ??!!???
Redhood tearing up: I miss him a lot
Redhood on his way to Amity park: I'll be back
#dpxdc#Red Hood adoption AU#ghost chirps AU#Red Hood: *appears in their school to talk to Danny Fenton*#Danny's classmates: *chanting internally* wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf

23.11. 21:04 | Ilo Pisara vs Rappulan Rassaajat 5 - 3
Oh, what a dazzling spectacle of mediocrity on ice! Ilo Pisara's performance against Rappulan Rassaajat was like watching a three-legged horse win a race because the others forgot how to run! Teppo Winnipeg, our "Puck Moving Defenseman," with offense rating higher than his defense – it shows, Teppo! Maybe try moving pucks away from our net rather than towards it. Your passing was decent though; 89.47%? It’s almost as if you were actually trying. Sami Noddy at center—oh look at Mr. Offense over here with an astonishing 100 in rating but skater giveaways totaling ten! Were you trying to be Santa Claus out there or just auditioning for the role of town philanthropist? And then we have Yuri Tarde in goal... I'd say he saved more face than pucks with that sad save percentage. Let's hope those breakaway saves aren't the highlight of your career. Macho Fantastico, living up to half his name by scoring four goals—I'll give him that—but skating around losing the puck as much as he did makes me wonder if 'fantastic' is just another word for 'lucky.' Let's not forget this glorious victory follows defeats sharper than a skate blade to my pride. This team better tighten their laces and helmets because they’re one bad game away from being demoted to Zamboni duty! Winning may excuse some sins today, but tomorrow? Don’t make me laugh—it’d be less painful getting hit by a slapshot bare-skinned!

Coexist
Yes, please!!!!! 10-21-23
"Race and religion do not separate people; ignorance does." — Matshona Dhliwayo
&
"Diversity doesn't look like anyone. It looks like everyone." — Karen Draper
Once again, it's not an attack on you. . .
We can't just commandeer a comfortable coexistence.
Sometimes, I wish we could.
A lot of different things have been coming up in my life lately about different religious . . .things, from friends, social media, the news, etc.
Maybe it's the time of year, and it's the bringing about signs of change and ushering in the holidays, which, for me, means inclusiveness, not the opposite.
Contrary to popular opinion, I do have faith. It's in us though, in humanity itself. My belief is that inside the hearts of every single human being is the ability to do good and feel love for others.
Call it a learned behavior or skill, if you must, but just like with any other skill, the more you hone it, the sharper it gets.
Do you really need more explanation?
I don't really care who you believe in, or who you give the credit to, so long as you're trying to do good, to be good, and to one another.
Different truths and different perspectives allow for us to arrive to this destination, differently, but we all have the ability.
Not seeing, or living up to, your potential is an ideological statement meant for parents, guardians, and teachers to say to rebellious adolescents at best.
Fear holds the only restrictions placed on actual love, period.
A friend shared this video with me, and asked my thoughts.
Now, I'm sharing it with all of you, along with my thoughts, and will respect any thoughts shared in the comments. Dialogue is the first nontoxic step, right?
Essentially, and I'm kind of paraphrasing here, I told them that,
{ In our history, the coming together and networking of groups that formed in clans, and/or families happened out of necessity for "My need of you" and it was reciprocated.
From this style of relationship, empathy was born.
When we stopped being "roamers" and "nomads" selflessness led to our moral laws as we know them.
There was no one moral law giver.
And, I might add that they constantly change due to cultural and societal ideals and institutions.
Good and bad both (?) do have to exist for us to appreciate one over the other. This is probably a philosophical truth, however without the ability to live with one and not the other, we'll truly never know.
The religious who claim love and peace (and not just christians) have caused and continue to cause more of the human on human evil deeds and killings done than any other group of persons, in the history of . . .ever.
. .
I'll go one further, and if certain groups of people today don't trust and believe the science and history with education basis for this, then let's say we go all the way back to the first human(s) that believed a god instructed then on moral law and they started the institution of following the good vs bad directive, that's still humans, and their belief that started it.
For someone to think good has to be god, or that it started from god floors me.
I wonder how many people would just start acting way worse if all of a sudden they found out there was no god.
. . .
It's worrisome that some people really are only as good as they are, which is probably still short, because they think another being (higher power/supernatural) is demanding it and is going to punish them if they don't. }
Lastly, why can't we enjoy the fact that from our history a type of morality has shown us the way to love and be kind, through strides of great empathy towards our fellow man, no matter where it came from. The important thing is, we have it now.
"'Please respect me, as I respect you.'"
And define respect however you need to, as long as at least partially aligns with the following:
A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something
and/or
Due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.
It all starts with the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
This week, as you move forward, remember that sharing our love and our laughter only goes as far in this world as our ability to share in the love and laughter of others.
Hate and contempt will always block that, if given an opportunity to do so.
Once again, it's not an attack on you. It's an imploration for an understanding of why it's so hard for so many.
We can't just commandeer a comfortable coexistence, as awesome as that sounds.
Now, remember to be kind and share your love and your laughter with the world around you.
Until next week;
"Real diversity and inclusion doesn't mean that we will always agree. It means that even when we disagree, we can still respect each other." — Justin Jones-Fosu

Gouda cheese is made from cow's milk and has a creamy texture with small, irregular holes. Its flavor is nutty and slightly sweet, with caramel notes. Gouda cheese can be aged for varying lengths of time, ranging from young and mild to aged and sharp. It is a versatile cheese that can be used in cooking, snacking, or served as a table cheese. Gouda is popular in the United States and can be found in many grocery stores and specialty cheese shops. It pairs well with a variety of foods, including fruits, nuts, bread, and wine. Some popular varieties of Gouda cheese include smoked Gouda, pesto Gouda, and cumin Gouda. Flavor Profile When it comes to flavor, Edam cheese and Gouda have distinct differences that set them apart. Edam cheese is known for its mild, buttery taste with a slightly nutty finish. Its flavor is not as intense as Gouda, making it a great choice for those who prefer a more subtle taste in their cheese.
Gouda cheese, on the other hand, is known for its richer, nuttier flavor with sweet caramel notes. Its taste can range from mild to sharp, depending on the age of the cheese. Gouda's complex flavor makes it a popular choice for snacking, cooking, and pairing with various foods. Our Taste Test Comparison "I prefer the milder taste of Edam cheese. It is usually formed into a flat wheel shape. The smooth texture of Gouda comes from its higher fat content, which also gives it a richer mouthfeel. Edam's texture, while still smooth, is slightly firmer and has a crumblier consistency. The wax coating on Edam also gives it a slightly waxy feel in the mouth. Aging and Varieties Both Edam cheese and Gouda come in different varieties, depending on their age and production process. Aging of Edam Cheese Traditional Edam cheese is aged for a short period of 4-12 weeks, giving it a mild flavor and a semi-hard texture. Upgrade Your Car Audio: Tips for Choosing Speakers in 2023
As people move into 2023, upgrading your car's audio system is becoming increasingly important for many auto enthusiasts. The auto speaker is one of the most crucial components of any car audio system. Choosing the right speakers can make a significant difference in the quality of your sound system. This article will explore some essential tips for choosing the best speaker for your car.
Power-Handling
Power handling is the amount of power a speaker can handle without getting damaged. It is measured in watts, and choosing a speaker that can handle the power output of your amplifier is essential. Always match your speakers' power handling to your amplifier's power output. For instance, if your amplifier outputs 50 watts RMS per channel, you should choose speakers that can handle at least 50 watts RMS per channel or more.
Component vs. Coaxial
There are two types of auto speakers: component and coaxial. Component speakers are designed with separate tweeters, midrange drivers, and woofers. They offer better sound quality than coaxial speakers but are also more expensive. Meanwhile, coaxial speakers have all the components in one unit, making them easier to install, but they don't offer the same level of sound quality as component speakers. Nonetheless, they are a good choice for those who want a simple and affordable upgrade to their car's audio system.
Sensitivity
As a driver, you want an audio system that can produce loud and clear sound even at low power. Sensitivity is a crucial factor to consider when choosing auto speakers. It measures how loud a speaker can produce sound with a given amount of power. The more heightened the sensitivity rating, the more audible the speaker will be. Look for speakers with a sensitivity rating of at least 90 dB for optimal performance.
Car Speaker Build Quality
An auto speaker constructed well will have a longer lifespan and provide superior sound quality compared to a poorly made one. When selecting speakers, search for those made with high-quality materials and solid construction. Confirm that the speaker has a sturdy frame and a durable cone. Great build quality ensures the speaker can withstand the movements and pressures of being in a vehicle.
Tweeter Materials
The tweeter produces high-frequency sounds, so choosing one with the right materials is essential. For example, a soft dome tweeter made from silk or textile materials will create a more natural and smooth sound, while a hard dome tweeter made from metal or ceramic materials will produce a sharper and more detailed sound. When selecting tweeter materials, you must consider the type of music you listen to and your personal sound preferences.
Size and Configuration
The size of your speaker will depend on the size of your car. Smaller cars will require smaller speakers, while larger cars will need larger ones. The configuration of your speakers will depend on your audio needs. If you're looking for a surround sound experience, you'll need speakers with different configurations.
Final Thoughts
Your car's audio system is essential to your driving experience, and choosing the right speakers can make a significant difference in your listening pleasure. Considering these factors, you can find the perfect set of speakers that will deliver high-quality sound and enhance your driving experience.
