my completely unprompted anime hot take of the day was that I hated ultimate bladeworks
#i'm not going to deny it was well made and well done#but i do not want to watch a story where it turns out at the end that shiro was Right#i guess it's supposed to make you think. and it did. my conclusion was that shiro was very very very very wrong#scholarly debate over here#also ubw had a criminal lack of sakura who is the best character in that whole damn franchise#i watched f0 and thought it was a masterpiece#then i watched fsn and it was bad. and then ubw which was fine i just hated it#and then heavens feel is a masterpiece again#also this was a bit ago but i just cant stop thinking about heavens feel#moral dilemma of ubw is like “what if killing people is okay as long as theyre bad people”#i know its way more complicated than that shut up#vs moral dilemma of heavens feel being like “i was raped as a child. help me help me help me help me help me.”#again its more complicated and mostly about sakura being the grail or whatever but that is not a thing that can happen to real people#approximately 0% of your viewers are going to be mass murderers#but a heavy chunk of them are going to be csa victims#admittedly shiro is a brick wall in heavens feel but idc bc i hate him
