Athleisure is about wearing your workout clothes all day long, for example wearing yoga leggings around town or wearing sneakers to the office.

It's not about wearing a ratty old jogging suit, athleisure is about wearing high-end workout clothes, from sports brands or as we've seen in luxury brands partnering with well-known sports brands such as North Face with Gucci or Balenciaga's recent collaboration with Adidas.
New categories within the sportswear space tend to target women in particular, and any innovation is focused on capturing this group. The traditional sportswear market, i.e. garments designed for sports, is aimed more exclusively at men, but the "spin-off" categories of this market, such as athleisure (all-occasion sportswear) are much more targeted at women.
Athleisure is also a generational interest: 65% of athleisure items are purchased and worn by tweens, teens, and young adults. It's a category driven by millennials in particular.
Younger consumers tend to be more health conscious, participating in activities such as yoga, fitness, and meditation, with a greater overall interest in wellness. It is this attitude that is driving the athleisure market.
This fashion is fueled by social media and influencers on this channel, like so many others. This type of clothing uses the latest fabrics and incorporates sports technology in its garments.
The key is that it is socially acceptable to wear even when not training.
Athleisure brands like Alo Yoga and Lululemon emerged just by selling simple items like leggings and T-shirts with high prices, good quality, and innovative designs. It is essentially aspirational clothing for sports enthusiasts.
Athleisure is all the rage today, and many celebrities have already joined the trend.
I sort of joined in, but I still preach that dressing for the occasion is a matter of education.

RED FM turns Orange to support Grofer's Bachaate Raho sale in Delhi NCR

Perhaps the first front page innovation one recalls in print, from decades ago, was when the late Behram Contractor came out with just the masthead on an Afternoon Despatch & Courier issue in the very early 1990s, with just one banner headline that read: No News Is Good News. Why? Because the paper had tied up with some tea brand, if memory serves one correctly, and the brand had a 6-column spread solus on Page 2 which had the day’s actual Page 1 editorial content. And now, on Radio, media agency Mindshare has brought online grocery discounter Grofers and popular FM Radio network RED FM together for Grofer’s ongoing ‘Grand Orange Bag Days’ sale, which will see Red FM become Orange FM for a few days. For Grofer’s Grand Orange bag Days sale, which is live till 18th August and is offering a 100 % cashback of up to a max of Rs 5,000 on everything Red FM has turned into ‘Orange FM’ in Delhi NCR,  encouraging its listeners to ‘Bachaate Raho’ with this massive sale offering extravagant budget offers. The innovative partnership will engage listeners through activities planned at Orange FM. From radio airwaves painted Orange on the frequency 93.5 to the station jingle reflecting the Orange of Grofers,  to taking-by-complete-surprise pranks from the entertaining Bauaa (RJ Raunac) -- each activation will encourage listeners to log on to Grofers to make the most of the sale.
