I have a small hc that whenever Cathal sees his father fall off the balcony, he goes to him on the ground to stay with him until he’s repaired. Whenever the VP finishes getting repaired, the first thing he sees is his son and it made him happy however he’s also concerned with the amount of times Cathal has seen him be destroyed and repaired.

with the amount of times the vp has been repaired, i have briefly mulled over the idea of them eventually discussing the matter of the toons vs cogs conflict between eachother. we know cathal thinks it's a waste of time, and i go off under the assumption that all of the cog bosses believe that their end goal in taking over toontownis worth whatever the toons throw at them which leads to a clash of priorities/values between them but yes i love this hc a lot. its cute and has the potential to be bittersweet i think

#i feel like vp & cathal's relationship has the potential to be a foil or a mirror to atticus & redd's. or w/e the right term is #not only bc they both have a healthy father-son dynamic but bc of how like #vp + chairman blew atticus off in btl after his workload started to toll on him to the point where he eventually snapped #thus leading me to wonder: boy wouldn't it be interesting if both experienced similar karmas as consequence for being negligent leaders #not even in cog death 2.0 way but just cruel irony #meanwhile redd and cathal are against the conflict but deal w/ it in different ways. redd takes direct action whereas cathal is more passive #i am not expecting or hoping any of this will happen btw im just thinking out loud bc i like the concept #talking tag #others headcanons #this is very rambly but ur hc reminded me of this so lol
