I know this is a stretch, but has anyone seen my dog? He keeps running away and I haven't gotten the chance to microchip him because of this. If you see him, he answers to Winston, and my address is on his collar (he's the one on the upper left, this is the only picture I have).

🌸flowers-in-bloom
Never mind. I found him. Thank you to everyone who tried to help. He is now microchipped.
🌸flowers-in-bloom
Winston ran away again. The microchip is not 100% accurate, so please, if you see him, let me know. I'm afraid he might get hit by a car or attacked by a wild animal.

Petition to save local songbird habit from complete destruction
Local Baltimore City Council Sheldon Isley brokered a deal several years ago to turn the habit of endangered songbirds into a parking lot. Recently, there have been discussions going on further developing what little remains of these birds' home. More information and links below the cut.

A Red Dinner
Today, the entire city of Baltimore was rocked by the shocking revelation that renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, is indeed the true Chesapeake Ripper. According to sources, Lecter very nearly took the lives of three people, and killed a third. Will Graham, once accused himself of being the Ripper. Dr. Alana Bloom, his lover. And Special Agent Jack Crawford of the FBI, a man Lecter has worked with closely in recent months. The one victim who was DOA is reportedly none other than Abigail Hobbs, who has been assumed murdered for months now, previously by none other than Will Graham. And what's more, it turns out he isn't just a serial killer, he is a cannibal as well.

The swirl of red and purple lights illuminates your scantily clad figure, shivering slightly in your boyfriend's hold as you watch viewers pour into the chat. Several you recognize as frequent flyers, but a few new names pop up here and there. Since you started streaming as a couple, both your accounts witnessed a rapid increase of subscribers.
“Hi guys.” You smile, fanning the smoke away from your face as Vernon exhales before passing the bong to you.
Taking a deep inhale, you read some of the comments while gently combing through your boyfriend's hair.
MILFMAKERGYU: hey pretty girl ;)
420jun: mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry
You roll your eyes at the usual antics. Vernon remains silent behind you, reading comments as you plant languid pecks across his cheeks and chin. Something about the camera and the intoxicating smoke filling your veins made you extra touchy, desperate to feel everything the man beneath you had to offer.
hwasaJA: oooo is that a new set?
Vernon uses his nose to nudge you away and towards the computer screen, one of his hands settling on the back of your neck and allowing his thumb to stroke below your ear.
“It is!” You smile. “Do you guys like it? Someone sent it to our P.O. box last week.”
MILFMAKERGYU tipped $250
i.m.whatiam: ur welcome :)
Boowho donated $100
Boowho: lets get this show on the road
 “Someone’s eager,” Vernon tsks.
Usually, nothing happened until a certain number of tips came through but when one person tipped others immediately followed until dollar signs filled the screen and you hit the quota only a few minutes in.
Turning in place, you smirk at Vernon before standing.
“I guess we’re starting early tonight, babe.” You say loud enough for the mic to pick up as you round the chair to stand behind.
“You don’t wanna ask them?”
Memyselfandbi: ask us what?
Memyselfandbi donated $200
MILFMAKERGYU: yes, i’ll be your third
Rolling your eyes, more curious questions fly through the chat window and so do tips; each attached with a request to decide whatever will happen between you and Vernon tonight. Auctioning off different things wasn’t new to your streams but tonight was a surprise to celebrate the highest earning month either of you had experienced.
“Since you guys are being so generous, we planned two options. If you vote for mine, you’ll get to see my baby treated right. And if you choose his, then we’ll all be bored.”
“Not for me,” Vernon grumbles.
420jun: i vote whatever you want honey!!!
“Aw that’s sweet,” you giggle.
Vernon snorts. The chat is full of people simping for you, trying to gain a second of attention with similar messages. Luckily, he isn't as easily swayed by your batting eyelashes.
“If you choose mine then Honey is gonna ride my fingers for the camera.”
“And if you wanna see me with cum on my face you should pick mine.” You sigh, tracing your nose along the curve of Vernon’s neck, nipping gently at his ear to make him jolt.
The chat descends into chaos as a moderator unlocks a poll. More tips flood in, attempting to sway your decision but you and Vernon spare a glance at each other with knowing smiles.
No matter what they decide, they’ll get both in the end. A win win for everyone.

GNX by Kendrick Lamar
“There we were, all starting to plan our annual Album of the Year countdowns… then BAM! A new project from one of the true modern greats and one of the most acclaimed artists of the last decade plus - none other than King Kendrick Lamar. Dropping ahead of his planned SuperBowl halftime show in February, GNX immediately feels like a record for the fans. Where Mr Morale & The Big Steppers was a more divisive project, a complex double album that saw Kendrick wrestling with guilt, grief and generational trauma, GNX by comparison instantly feels much more accessible. This is Kendrick the artist getting back to being Kendrick the rapper, coming out all guns blazing with his razor-sharp flow and some incredible production work by the likes of Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, Kamasi Washington and, of course, MUSTARRRRRRRD! While fans can continue to speculate on a potential second album before the year’s done, I think it’s safe to say that GNX alone feels like another significant addition to Kendrick’s flawless discography. Not only shocking the world with the nature of its release, but also delivering a project to the same exceptional standard that we’ve come to expect from him. A truly remarkable feat and already one of the best rap records all year, proving once again that Kendrick continues to operate at a level all to himself.”

From Zero by LINKIN PARK
Without a doubt one of the biggest releases of 2024, nu-metal pioneers LINKIN PARK have finally returned with their first new album in seven years, their first since the tragic passing of beloved vocalist Chester Bennington, and the record that introduces new female vocalist Emily Armstrong to their fans worldwide.
While the announcement of Emily joining the band has certainly been marred by controversy, with heavy backlash from both fans and Chester’s family regarding her links to Scientology, anyone who watched the initial livestream will know that, from a pure vocal range perspective, she is probably the best possible replacement the band could’ve got. And the mission for From Zero seems to be just that – convincing the fans to buy into this new era of LINKIN PARK with Emily being part of it. Does it work? I would say yes.
As someone who has accepted that LINKIN PARK are never going to make an album as groundbreaking as Hybrid Theory again, instead enjoying their music these days on a mostly nostalgic level, I’ve had a lot of fun with this one. While there are certainly some duff moments (‘Cut The Bridge’ and ‘Stained’ I’m looking at you), they also deliver plenty of highlights too. ‘The Emptiness Machine’ remains a belter of a hook-laden comeback single, while ‘Over Each Other’ carries a big emotional punch thanks to Emily’s stirring vocal work. There are also some excellent heavier moments that callback to their earlier days too, such as the scream-tastic ‘Casualty’ and hard-hitting rock anthem ‘Two Faced’.
Everything else is solid and catchy too, making this an enjoyable 30-minute listen. As a comeback record it admittedly feels very safe, but I guess the main point of it isn’t really to break the wheel. This is LINKIN PARK doing what they do best and aiming to get their dedicated fanbase back on board for the ride – analysing it from that perspective, I think it works a treat.

Night Palace by Mount Eerie
I know what you’re thinking 26 songs, an 80-minute runtime… why you even recommending this one Karl, you know we ain’t got time for that?! Well, just in case you find yourself at a loss on what to listen to over a long journey somewhere, or even later on next month during the festive period, I have to recommend this new one from American songwriter and producer Phil Elverum – AKA, Mount Eerie.
Firstly, this is an album you need to experience from front-to-back – this isn’t one to dip in and out of individual tracks. Inspired by Zen meditation, it is a single journey of reflection that comes seven years after the devastation of Elverum’s critically acclaimed masterpiece, A Crow Looked At Me. While I personally found that album heartbreakingly beautiful but also very hard work, I’ve found this one has oddly been more accessible by comparison, which is surprising given its demanding length.
But that said, the album has a great flow to it, with many of the tracks between 1 and 3 minutes long, with Elverum constantly jumping between different musings and ideas. There’s acoustic folk tracks and lo-fi rock tracks, with splashes of ambient electronics and harsh static thrown into the mix, playing out almost like someone flicking through different radio stations. It’s an enthralling listen, one that culminates in a gorgeous 12-minute spoken word poem, ‘Demolition’.
So, if you want a record that’s indulgent in the best way, is made for this dark, melancholic time of year and is just utterly fascinating from each brief moment to the next - then give this one a try.
Listen here
Petrichor by 070 Shake
Having come into the spotlight a few years back through her memorable collaborations with Kanye West, rapper/singer/songwriter 070 Shake has since gone on to establish herself through her solid first two albums, Modus Vivendi and You Can’t Kill Me. Now back with her latest album Petrichor, it’s another release that further demonstrates Danielle Balbuena’s fascinating and unique sonic output.
Awash with dark, moody synths, it’s an endlessly interesting collection of glistening neon-soaked pop songs. It begins with theatrical, piano led opener ‘Sin’ before morphing into the pulsating stomp of ‘Elephant’ which sounds like the sci-fi/western collision of Westworld but in audio form. ‘Vagabond’ is similarly dramatic, as is stunning album highlight ‘Into The Garden’ which is a genre-defying whirlwind of a track. Shake then feels festive with ‘Winter Baby / New York Blues’ before an intriguing cover of Tim Buckley’s classic ‘Song To The Siren’ with Courtney Love. The emotional roar of the album then comes on ‘Blood On Your Hands’ which climaxes in a spoken word poem from Shake’s girlfriend, Lily Rose Depp.
While not everything Shake does on this album is perfect, it is always a curious and innovative listen that sees her pushing her sonic boundaries and sounding like no-one else. In a music world where most artists seem to have clear touchpoints, we need more singular voices like 070 Shake.

A Weekend In The City B-Sides (Another Weekend In The City) by Bloc Party
To today’s teenagers, the thought of having to illegally download and file share music must seem unfathomable. After all, when music is so freely available with streaming, who needs to track it down through illegal means right? Well, back in 2007 at the height of the indie boom, file sharing was all the rage, with bands blowing up through word of mouth alone, as albums and unreleased tracks were passed through MSN messenger, MySpace and other internet forums.
One such album was Bloc Party’s Another Weekend In The City. A completely unofficial release, it was made up of the band’s brilliant B-Sides from the Weekend In The City singles, as well as some unreleased tracks from the recording sessions that had leaked. For me it remains to this day the ultimate bootleg album, one that I adore as much as Bloc Party’s actual sophomore album.
For years this album was lost, condemned to my broken iPod classic along with some unreleased Radiohead deep cuts (thank God we got ‘Lift’ on the OKNOTOK release eventually). So imagine my delight when Bloc Party a few weeks back announced they would be officially releasing their A Weekend In The City B-sides on streaming services for the first time, bringing life back to Another Weekend In The City.
If you are a Bloc Party fan and are unfamiliar with these tracks, I cannot recommend this enough. The guitar work on tracks like ‘Secrets’ and ‘Version 2.0’ are sensational as always, while the likes of ‘Selfish Son’, ‘We Were Lovers’, ‘Atonement’ and ‘Emma Kate’s Accident’ are as stunning as anything Bloc Party made around that time. It also features two of their finest ever moments in the form of ‘Vision of Heaven’ and, my personal favourite, ‘England’.
At the time of writing, it seems the band have since taken the album down due to poor audio quality – something I foolishly put down to 00s aesthetics when listening late on release day. So, while these songs have temporarily disappeared once again, be sure to jump on them when they return.
In the meantime, you can still listen unofficially here

People Watching by Sam Fender
He’s back!
A couple of years on from his incredible sophomore album Seventeen Going Under, the Geordie Springsteen has finally returned this month, and with a bang. From a UK/EU tour that sold out instantly, to three big stadium shows and numerous 2025 festival headline spots (including a rumoured Glasto headline set), Sam Fender has also announced that his new album will be released this coming February. ‘People Watching’ is the title track from the project and includes everything that fans have come to love about Sam’s music: his wonderfully descriptive storytelling, a big singalong chorus and some soaring instrumentation. With Adam Granduciel from The War On Drugs also working on the track and noticeably sharing his influence, it’s an absolute belter of a track that sets up Sam Fender to fully own these next 12 months.

Pitch Black by The Amazons
Another band set to take 2025 by storm is Reading rockers, The Amazons. After releasing one of their finest songs to date in the form of ‘Living A Lie’ last month, the trio have since revealed that their fourth album will drop next May and will be titled 21st Century Fiction. ‘Pitch Black’ is the latest cut from the project and it’s another absolute stormer, boasting some scintillating bluesy riffs and a hugely anthemic chorus. For my money, still the best pure rock band in the country!

Someone who has been working with The Amazons and is due to support them on their upcoming UK tour is the wonderful Fiona-Lee, one of my favourite new music discoveries of 2024. Another great song from the band, it’s already got me excited for their forthcoming next chapter.

..."Biden Leads in 2 New Polls - Yes, there are polls showing Trump ahead. But there are also these other polls released in the past week: (Biden-Trump):
44%-43% - Morning Consult (new today, 5 pt Biden gain in past month)
43%-42% - TIPP (new today, 3 pt Biden gain from last month’s poll)
44%-44% - Economist/YouGov
36%-36% - AP/NORC
40%-40% - Impact Research/GSG battleground state poll (link)
Morning Consult’s just released weekly tracking poll found something that we’ve been discussing as the likely scenario this spring - that as the campaigns turn on, and it becomes clear it is Biden-Trump, a big chunk of Biden’s wandering base will come home. We will then we have a campaign to go get the rest and hopefully go beyond it and get to 55.
Biden retakes lead from Trump: Biden leads Trump, the likeliest Republican presidential nominee for 2024, by 1 percentage point (44% to 43%) in our latest national tracking survey. It’s Biden’s first lead over Trump since early January, and is driven by coalescence among the voters who backed him last time around: 85% of Biden 2020 voters say they’d vote for him if the election were today, the largest share since early September.
Tumblr media
As I keep writing what the polls are finding is a close, competitive election. Trump does not definitively lead. He is a far weaker candidate than in 2020. We should not red wave this election as we did 2022. We know from public and private polling that when voters are informed about Biden’s accomplishments, his numbers go up. When voters are informed about Trump’s awfulness his numbers go down. Consumer sentiment is rising, the economy is remains historically strong. Since Dobbs we’ve been winning elections all across the country and Republicans have struggled. Together, we’ve built the most powerful grassroots machine the Democratic Party has ever had. For all these reasons, and the many I discuss below, I am deeply optimistic about winning this November. For remember:
Joe Biden is a good President. The country is better off. The Democratic Party is strong and winning elections all across the country. And they have Trump, the most unfit person to ever run for President in our all history.
Hopium is hope with a plan. We don’t just hope elections will go well, we do the work to make it so. Our work, together, and the work of millions of other proud patriots across the country, is what is pushing Democratic performance in election after election to the upper end of what’s possible. If we keep our heads down and keep doing the work we should have the election we all want to have this November. Let’s raise the flag - for freedom, for democracy, for America - and go win this thing together"

Can We Rely on Body Language to Confirm a Ship?
*Disclaimer: This post isn’t against any ship, it’s against a narrative for shipping.
Can We Rely on Body Language to Confirm a Ship?
Before answering this question, I have to bring up and answer another question: “Can we rely on body language at all?”
The answer is yes, but we can do this only in specific circumstances. Not all acts or interactions are interpretable in the body language system. What do we mean when by “Body Language”?
Definition of Body Language
Body language refers to the nonverbal signals that we use to communicate. According to experts, these nonverbal signals make up a huge part of daily communication. From our facial expressions to our body movements, the things we don't say can still convey volumes of information. It has been suggested that body language may account for between 60 to 65% of all communication. Understanding body language is important, but it is also essential to pay attention to other cues such as context. In many cases, you should look at signals as a group rather than focusing on a single action.
Before starting to learn body language and going into detail, you have to know the first and most important thing which is “baselining”. A baseline is how someone acts when they are under normal, non-threatening conditions. You easily can establish baselines by sitting down with the person you want to read better—your child, your spouse, your friend–and talking casually to them about neutral topics that they would have no reason to lie about, such as the weather or what they want to have for dinner. Take note of how they act, how they hold their body, how they sound. Once you have established someone’s baseline, you can look for some of the typical gestures people make with their eyes, outlined below. If you see one of these clues and it is different from their baseline behavior, you know it is a red flag and you have to dig a little deeper. [1]
This might sound boring but if you read the upper paragraphs, you will know how important baseline is. You can’t analyze a person’s body language without having enough data about their personality and normal behavior unless you are an expert in this field. Now let’s find the answer to this post’s main question.
Can We Rely on Body Language for Sexual Attraction?
Can we use body language to tell if two persons have ever had an intimate relationship or they are sexually attracted to each other? The answer is positive. Experts can do this and Ms. Cora Boyd, is one of them. You can watch this video to see how amazing she does her job:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ywpoj0SS0sk
Cora Boyd is a dating coach who works with big dating app companies and if you visit her official website and LinkedIn profile, you can see that her education is all in psychology-related fields and with the gift she has, she can tell if two persons have ever been in an intimate relationship just by monitoring their interactions and body language.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, body language can be used for this purpose only by professionals (amateurs can have their  opinions too) BUT there is a big BUT here a professional will ever expose a closeted celebrity, this is rule no.1 of professionalism. So, we can tell body language analysis can be used to confirm a ship but it can never come to the eyes of the public for moral and professional reasons.
Umentory
If you are into ships of BTS, you have probably heard that a "body language expert has analyzed both KM and TK ships” and in his opinion, TK can be real but KM is just a friendly/brotherly relationship. But what was the story behind these analyses?
The YT channel which released these videos was named Umentory (now changed to Supercepción) is running by a guy named César Aurelio Ceballos Peña. He created a poll in his channel to do a ship analysis including KM, TK, Larry, and few other ships. Both Jikookers and Taekookers voted for their favorite ship and as we expected TK won the first place. When I watched his first video and heard him saying "touching ear is an undeniable sign of sexual desire" I found out that this guy has no idea about Korean culture and Kpop skinship and the case was closed for me. But when he made a video for KM (despite TK winning the second poll too) and claiming that KM can't be real, by familiar statements like "JK is not comfortable" I started to doubt his sincerity and honesty and did a deep research about him:
Mr. César Aurelio Ceballos Peña has a  Ph.D. in Fiscal Science and runs courses about body language (apparently from 2015 to 2017). You can check his resume and his LinkedIn profile. I searched a lot but didn't find any psychology-related subject in his education except an article named “Bases para la interpretación del Lenguaje Corporal (2013)”  which I couldn’t find it to be published anywhere. All his job experiences and educations are related to Fiscal Science and he has to be good at his jobs as an economy expert or teacher at communication in the economy. But as I said before, a body language expert has to have psychology-related educations to make legit statements, and they have to be aware that those statements can ruin lives of closeted celebrities in a homophobic country.
Dr. César Aurelio Ceballos Peña didn’t act like a professional but the 3 videos (2 for TK and one for KM) were a breakthrough for his channel. If you check his channel on this website you can see the significant growth in the number of his subscribers, viewers, and income after that specific date.
Tumblr media
But what made me do this research?
To make it more clear, I have to refer to another YT channel, the infamous Taekook-lives. If you have watched her videos you already know that body language plays a big role is her analysis and she always claims to know about body language more than the rest of us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW/ conspiracy theory
If you try to connect the dots with some conspiracy theories you can tell that Umentory guy came at the exact time of need when TK was almost cancelled by Tae himself and Umentory’s unprofessional claims were perfectly matching with Taekook-lives theories and narratives. I have heard much worse Youtubers jobbery stories that this one will not surprise if it comes out to be true.
Anyways, conspiracy or not, this was a win-win game for both of them.
Conclusion
When someone tries to do a body language analysis, they have to consider many things and the circumstance is the most important one of those things. You have to know everything that person is going through, the stress, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, presence of cameras, audiences and many other things can change the behavior of a normal person. And not to mention some people are not easy to read and they can easily get misunderstood (I am one of them!)
Tumblr media
So when we talk about shipping, body language can’t be considered as a reliable source to prove that ship is real or not. What we saw from the idols’ lives, is just a surface, the thing they (idols themselves, the companies …) decide to show us. The acts that are affected by thousands of variables and those acts can never be analyzed properly and reliably unless you know all the variables.
Sure we can read people’s body language signs and tell if they are happy, excited, sad, stressed, shy, feeling down, and … but we can never make conclusions about ships out of these emotions. These emotions, actions and reactions can be the result of many things we are not aware of. And as Ms. Cora Boyd said perfectly:

VIDEO TITLE:  SPRING BREAK FASHION LOOK BOOK
POST DATE:  MARCH 6TH
VIDEO LENGTH: 21:57 Minutes
NOTES: so the layout for this is written some what weird, but i hope it makes since? also this took me two days to write bc tumblr some how deleted it yesterday -_-
-video opens with a montage of her in the outfit before it goes into her channel name with sparkles. It fades out to her sitting in her normal filming location of her teal wall.-
“Hey what’s up guys it’s Mallory and welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel! Today if you you didn’t already read the title then Its a spring break look book! But we have a little bit of a spin on this look book! I ordered five items from five different stores to gets at least five outfits for next week. And before everyone gets up in arms i have videos filmed, and then you’ll get vlogs, no need to worry about that! But for quicker updates don’t forget to follow me on twitter and Instagram for updates. But now, lets get on with the video!
-the video swipes into the first outfit, crop top from Dolls Kills, light wash overall skirt from Zafull, black strappy platform from Zafull, white pearl crossbody bag from Forever 21, & rose earrings from Fashion Nova. Her hair is pulled back into a high pony tail, and her makeup is natural minus her normal extra winged out liner and peach lipstick that matched the flowers in the top. After moving around a little bit showing off most of the outfit it swipes into her standing there to talk about the look-
"So outfit one makes me feel such early 2000s kid. Like i feel like this top was really similar to one that Brittany Spears had on in one part of  Crossroads! And im LIVING for this overall skirt, its going to end up being a staple in my wardrobe, along with these shoes. I swear im going to be at height with my best friends eyes now, or well almost cause I don’t think these are almost a foot taller. So outfit total with bag and earrings came to 110 dollars. So let get onto look number two!”
-The video swipes into the second look, strapless ruched body suit in pink from Forever 21, distressed shorts from Forever 21, cropped cotton candy jacket from Fashion Nova,  vinyl strap sandals in lavender from Forever 21, & tattoo choker and layered chain necklace from Dolls Kill. Her makeup again natural with her wing again, but a nude lip. Her hair is pulled back in a half up and half down look-
“So can we just start with my favorite part of this look and that’s this jacket. Its so fun and so me really, and it something that i can throw on over like a white dress or a black one just to add some color, something that i will totally wear again, unlike this body suit, It flatters me yes but  I really wish it had like straps or at least had a spot of add straps if you wanted to. and if we wanna talk about these shorts, my butt looks amazing in them, like  these are a total keeper! So this outfit came to 91 dollars, but when three fifths of the outfit is Forever 21, I don’t blame the outfit for being under 100 dollars, but lets go onto the next look!”
-The video swipes into the third look, sweet savage love floral top & shorts from Dolls Kill, black strappy platform from Zaful, rose flower crown in white from Forever 21, white pearl  cross body from Forever 21 & triple strand necklace from H&M. She has a smoky eye look with a light pink lip, and her hair is down and curled loosely around her face.-
“Okay lets start with the fact that I did end up cheating just a little bit in this look, and not because i repeated the shoes and bag, but that the top and bottoms where separates and i ended up ordering six things from Dolls Kill, and that was actually the site i was the most worried about, but they actually worked out really well in my favor because i think this is my favorite outfit i have done today. ten out of ten would recommend this. Plus these shoes are actually the most comfortable pair of heals i have had on in a long time. So outfit total came to 128 dollars, but seeing as the bag and shoes are a repeat, its really 58 dollars, but onto the fourth look!”
-The camera swipes to the fourth look, navy floral dress from Fashion Nova, black strappy platform from Zaful, small shoulder bag in white from H&M, layered coin necklace from Fashion Nova, & large hoop earrings from H&M. Her hair is curled loosely and she has a dark smokey eye with a matching pink from the flowers in the dress lipstick on.-
“Have we figured out I love floral yet? No? So i actually I was really worried about this dress, cause i may be curvy up top, but totally not in other spots, but i do not mind this at all. It totally a lets go to a club dress without being too short or anything. And these Zaful shoes are getting the most work out, and I could not match either pair of shoes i got for this so there is that. So 109 for this outfit, or just 49 dollars if you’re repeating shoes like i am. Onto the fifth outfit!”
-The screen swipes to the fifth look. strappy chiffon lace tank top from Zaful, stoned denim shorts from Dolls Kill, holographic wedges from Dolls Kill, faux leather mini backpack from Zaful, & sunglasses from Zaful. Her makeup is natural with a wing again, with a dark pink lip, and her hair pulled up in a high pony tail-
“Okay so if i had to say i went out of my comfort zone at all it would be this outfit. I don’t even think these shoes match but they were the most expensive thing I got and i had to figure out what outfit they fit with the best. But i think these might be the only thing I end up returning. Everything else i love and will wear again, you might never see me take off these sunglasses honestly! Anyways the total for this outfit came to 156 dollars, but if i swapped the wedges for the Zaful shoes it would bring it down to 130 dollars slash 70 dollars. But lets get onto the bonus outfit that i didn’t mean to make it just kinda happened!”
-the screen swipes to the bonus beach look, sweetie floral ruffle swimsuit from Fashon Nova, sarong in black from H&M, vinyl strap sandals in lavender from Forever 21, sunglasses from Zaful, & a straw hat in beige from H&M. her hair was pulled back into a low pony tail and she had on a ‘no makeup’ makeup look with just lip balm.-
“So i couldn’t leave a spring break video without some type of swim suit, and i think for me this is really flattering and i can not wait to be laying by the beach or pool in this I really have no negatives over this. Plus I can take the shorts from look two and throw these on if i have to go anywhere and it would still look good! Anyways, this outfit came to 87 dollars, but if i take away the repeats, it brings it down to 62 dollars, and to me that’s a steal. But lets head back to sit down and talk about this!”
-the video swipes back to her teal wall filming room, back in outfit three-
"So as we can see outfit three was my favorite, no shock about that. But there is a poll if you click the I up in the corner you can vote on what outfit was your favorite. And time for talking about do you have to spend over 500 dollars for spring break? No absolutely not, but that doesn’t mean don’t get anything new. But let me know what you think down below, and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button and that bell so you don’t miss another video from me and I’ll see you guys on Saturday!”

The Samsung Tab S8 Ultra reportedly has a huge MacBook-style display notch
Home News By Prasham Parikh Published 47 minutes ago Email To do or notch to do iPads and even tablets, in general, have turned out to be especially useful devices since the start of the pandemic. Their software and hardware are more suitable than ever for intensive tasks and workflows. Given this, it makes sense for manufacturers to ship even more powerful devices, and Samsung's upcoming Tab S8 Ultra is shaping up to be just one of those.Long-time leaker @OnLeaks has shared new renders of the tablet and it is huge — like 14.6-inch display huge. The images reveal extremely slim bezels all around, except for an unsightly notch. Samsung apparently had to resort to this design because the bezels were too thin to house the camera; yes, the notch seemingly doesn't have any other sensors. Software tweaks might make the notch more palatable, but I'm not sure whether it was good to minimize the bezels to an extent that required a notch in the first place. On tablets, it's usually a good idea to offer slightly thicker bezels as it gives more space to grip the tablet and prevents accidental touches. The back looks very familiar, with the pill-shaped dual-camera and a contrasting magnetic strip for the S Pen. According to the source, the renders lack any magnetic pins since they aren't "100% complete." What's more, the tablet is looking to be thinner and taller than the Tab S7+, with approximate dimensions of 325.8 x 207.9 x 5.4mm. If you missed out on it, the new leak comes shortly after we got a first glimpse at what the Tab S8 could be. The Tab S8 Ultra is expected to be the third tablet in the series, alongside the Tab S8+. With a screen that large, and presumably high horsepower, the tablet could be positioned towards content creators, but what remains to be seen is if the software gets any substantial upgrades to make the most of the hardware. Nominate Your Favorite Construction Podcast for Best of 2021!
Tumblr media
It’s that time again to begin Construction Junkie’s annual search for the best construction podcast!  Now in our 7th year of the competition, we’re noticing a considerable increase in construction-related podcasts from every sector.
Last year continued our trend of breaking the previous years record number of votes, with the most nominees and the most total votes. In the end, Bridging the Gap secured the crown, wrestling it away from the 2-time defending champion CONEXPO/CON-AGG Radio.
Please see below for contest details and use the nomination form at the bottom of this page to submit your own podcast or your favorite construction related podcast for this year’s competition! I’m looking forward to discovering new podcasts, as well as seeing how the veteran podcasts can defend their territory.
How the Contest Works
Round of nominations - to ensure that every podcast has a fair chance to be entered into the contest, time will be allowed for nominations from our readers and podcasters alike. Only one nomination is needed to be entered into the contest
Round of voting - once all nominations are received, a round of voting will take place (start date TBD). Winners are determined solely based on number of votes. Only one vote per person will be counted.
Nominee articles - each nominee will be highlighted in an article with a description and details about their show during the voting round
Champion named - after voting is complete (date TBD),a winner will be named and all other nominees will be ranked by vote count.
The Grand Prize
For the past 2 years, we have offered a prize to the contest's winner. That will continue this year and the overall winner will once again receive FREE sidebar ad on ConstructionJunkie.com for one full year! That will help your favorite podcast gain hundreds of thousands of impressions every year. If we are able to have multiple categories, the grand prize winner will be the podcast who receives the most overall votes out of all of the categories.
Contest Rules
Nominations can be submitted from now until Midnight PST on Friday, June 4, 2021. At that time, no more nominations will be accepted. Podcasters are more than welcome to nominate their own podcast and self-promotion is encouraged. Nominations will be researched and any deemed to not be related to the construction industry by our staff, will be removed. Shows must be available in audio only podcast form and YouTube-only shows will not be eligible.
After nominations close, voting will begin.  Voting will be open for 4 weeks from the day the polls open, date to be determined.  Winner, by popular vote, will be announced shortly after poll is closed.
As always, the contest is 100% free to enter. It’s all about promoting podcasting!

The 5 Minute Rule for Instagram Growth (Instagram Strategy)
Okay. So I have this five minute rule that I've never shared, but it's been a big key in growing my Instagram account over the last year to over a hundred thousand followers. And also, more importantly, it's been a big key to helping me show up higher in the algorithm and build real relationships. So anytime I have downtime, like I do right now, I basically go into my phone and I do this five minute roll, and I do this every day whenever I have five minutes, and this is really the only thing I do actively on Instagram each day to make sure that I'm engaging, building my engagement, building my authority in the algorithm, so that I'm constantly growing my account. But I don't really spend more than this five minutes a day on the platform unless I'm doing a post.
So I'll show you what that is in just one second. So, the five minute rule, if you're excited to hear this, give this article a like and make sure that you hit that subscribe button. If you haven't subscribed yet, what are you waiting for? Subscribe and hit the bell to get notified every single time I post a new article on this channel and I'm going to kind of go through each of the categories that I do this five minute rule in so that you can fully understand the process. So first thing is that it's broken into sections. So the first section that I do, it's called existing audience. So basically, anyone who follows me that day or anyone who engages with my content that day, there's a couple of things that I do to further nurture the relationship.
If you haven't watched my article on owning the Instagram algorithm, make sure you check it out because you'll see in that article the three key factors to owning the algorithm and making sure that you show up in the newsfeed. So, if you check that out, you'll see that one of the key factors is relationships. So that's why this is so important to me.
And this is why I do this five minute roll every single day. So the first thing is, people who comment on my content on my feed or people who messaged me in my DMS or people who follow me, what I'll do is I'll send them a voice message. So I send some people voice messages and just introduce myself and say, "Hello," because sending rich content in DMs is really valuable to the algorithm to say, "Wow, you must actually have a real relationship with this person if you're taking the time to send a voice message." So it's going to actually help you show up in that person's feed more. The other thing that I do is I send article messages to say welcome or I ask questions, and a big thing that I'll do is ask, "Why are you here and what did you want to see from my account and what are you looking forward to learning from me?" And that can help me find great content topics for my Instagram feed.
The next thing I do is polls. I love asking questions on Instagram and using it for data and information on what my audience wants, both for my free content and my paid content. So I'll go on and I'll invite people to things or ask questions. So one of the big things that I use polls for it is, if I have a new opt in or I have a new webinar or masterclass, I'll go on and say, "Do you want to come to the masterclass tomorrow? Vote yes or no." And whoever votes yes, I then go through that list and I send a direct message to every person who voted yes with the link to sign up for the webinar.
And it's a great tool to get more butts in seats for your webinar and basically interacts directly with people, which people kind of get surprised by. The next thing I do is questions. I love the questions feature on Instagram stories. So I'll ask a question and I do this a lot when it comes to figuring out what kind of content you want to see on YouTube.
I'll say, "What do you want to see on my YouTube channel?" And people send me all these ideas, and a lot of the times those ideas then turn into my YouTube articles like today's. This actually was inspired from a comment and a question I got on Instagram. The next thing is, after I post a new photo, and this is still under my existing audience or the audience that's already there following me or just new to following me, whenever, I post a new photo on my feed, I will go in to the previous photo that I posted on my feed and I will like, so I will heart every single comment on that photo until Instagram cuts me off, but I will like every single comment on that previous photo to kind of ding and notify those followers on my account that I have a new piece of content that just went up and it'll grab their attention to come back to my account and find that new photo.
So that's just my existing audience category and that five minutes, that's one thing I do. You don't have to do all of it, but pick one of those things to do every day within that five minutes and you'd be surprised how many of those things you can get done to nurture those relationships. So the second thing is finding like-minded accounts. And this is so important because if you're trying to wait for everybody else to find you on social media, you're never going to get found. I often say, "Don't be the cool guy at the party. Be the friendly guy at the party because no one wants to talk to the cool guy at the party and they're intimidated by them." So you want to be the person who goes out of your way to talk to everybody. So what I will do is I will actually go onto my account and I will search keywords or tags within my niche and I will find new people to interact with.
The other cool bonus factor of this is that if I do this, I'm also finding all of these great pieces of content that I will then save and curate for my own feed or for my story to share later. So it's allowing me to gather content that I really love as well. So I'm interacting, I'm gathering content, and on those pieces of content that I really like, I will heart them and I will leave a valuable comment so that I can get on that person's radar. And I will also interact with people in the comments on that post to, again, expose myself to a whole new audience to help me grow my account faster. So the next thing is hashtags. And I have a whole list in my phone of the hashtags that are relevant to who I want to be attracting and the kind of audience that I know I want to be following me. So I go through that hashtag list every day in this five minute rule, and I basically go in and I search the hashtags on Instagram and I find people, like I said before, to go and interact with and I find content that I can save to use on my account or to share in my stories.
But, most importantly, I use those hashtags to find people that I haven't interacted with yet or that haven't heard of me yet, and I go in and I direct message them or I'll comment on their post or I'll respond to something that they put on their story just to get on their radar to say, "Hey, I'm here. We haven't met yet, but I'm super excited to introduce myself." And when I'm talking about hashtags, I use a tool called Flick, which I explained thoroughly in this article on how I post on Instagram. So we can show you a bit of that right now, but make sure you go watch that full article because that's how I find the right hashtags to be attracting with on Instagram and it's an amazing, amazing tool.
So we'll link to that below. Look at this hashtag tool here, you can see that you can type in anything. It's called flick.tech. It's about $10 a month, $11 a month U.S. and it's really, really good. Now, just like anything, this is going to take you a minute to create these hashtag groups, but it is so worth it because you'll see a huge increase in your engagement. So say I want to look up YouTube articles. And it'll even populate some of the things that come up. So let's say, YouTube articles. And the next thing is, once I build a relationship with people on Instagram and I introduce myself or we start talking back and forth, I won't make time to then follow up with them, a week, two weeks, a month later, and I will make sure that I'm consistently interacting.
So it's not this one time thing, but we actually open a dialogue and that's what happens when you voice message or article message new followers. They know it's a safe place for them to actually talk to you and you have no idea how many of those conversations that I've started with people have turned into paying customers and clients because they know that I'm a real person that they can actually interact with. So make sure that you continue to nurture the relationship and continue to interact with those people, especially if you have a new account.
Really value those new people who follow you because they are the people that are going to be with you in the long run if you value them in the beginning. Now, the next thing is making sure that you respond, like I said, to pretty much everything. When I was first starting to grow my account, everybody got a response and still to this day I have over a hundred thousand followers on Instagram and I still do my best to respond to every single DM that I get. Some of them end up in spam and I don't see them, but I try and respond to every single DM that I get, every question that I get. And I just block out time outside of this five minute rule, like once a week, to go through and answer all my DMs. So, like I said, I'm not on Instagram all day, every day. I have this five minute rule and everything I just mentioned goes into that five minute rule.
I interact with existing accounts that follow me, my existing audience that follows me. I interact with like minded accounts to grow my following. I search hashtags to grow my following and curate content. I build the relationships with people ongoing in the DMs and I make sure that I'm responding to everything in my Direct Messages. And if you have a smallish audience, there's no excuse, you should be responding to everything in your DMS because that's what's going to build relationships and help you show up higher in the algorithm on Instagram.
Now, if you've enjoyed this, let me know what your biggest takeaway was from this article and what you're going to start doing on Instagram. If you haven't followed me on Instagram yet, you can find me @sunnylenarduzzi. Head over there, follow me, shoot me over a DM, and you'll see, I'll respond. If you like this article, I've got a whole playlist dedicated to Instagram growth and getting real results on that platform.
Make sure you check that out here and make sure you check out my article on how to find the right hashtags and how I post on Instagram right here. If you like this, hit the like button below. Be sure to subscribe and share this with your friends or anyone who needs to see it. And I'll see you in the next article. Bye..

Couples challenge Part 1
You were a Youtuber before you met Josh and Tyler. Your channel was a little bit of a lot. You did makeup, DIYs, challenges, and covers of your favorite songs. One of the songs being Truce by twenty one pilots. 3 years ago just after posting the video your twitter blew up with your fans saying that Tyler Joseph tweeted a link to your video. You looked in your twitter inbox to see that Tyler and you guys became friends. Fast forward 3 years to where you are now. In your apartment with your boyfriend Josh of 2 and ½ years and your best friends Jenna and Tyler. You were setting up your camera in your living room to make a couples tag with them. Earlier that day you tweeted you fans asking them to ask you guys some questions. You each chose 3 to answer. You: “What’s up guys. It’s me Y/N and as you can tell I’m not in my normal filming area. Yes that’s because today I’ll be making the very requested video. The couples challenge.” with that Josh, Tyler, and Jenna sat down with you on the big couch. “Thanks for doing this guys, my viewer really wanted to see this.” Josh: “No problem Y/N anything for you.” You: “I was saying thanks to Jenna and Tyler babe. You were doing this with me no matter what.” Tyler and Jenna laughed at you sass while Josh put on an offended face and them kissed you. You: “Okay so here’s what we’re doing. Everyone has 3 questions they picked off of twitter that you guys wanted to know about our friendships and relationships. Once this video is up I’ll be posting a twitter poll and you can go and vote on who’s your favorite couple. If Josh and I win then Tyler and Jenna have to get a tattoo of Josh and I’s choice and vise versa. So what do you say we get started? Jenna let’s start with you question first.” Jenna: “Okay so my question is were Jenna and Y/N fans of twenty one pilots before meeting them or did they not know who they were? Well I can say for myself that I didn’t know who they were but once I heard them they were amazing and I fell in love with the music and Tyler.” You: “Well I heard of a few of their songs through a friend, but I wasn’t a fan at first. Don’t get me wrong the music was and is great I just wasn’t into it right away. But then I did the cover to Truce and Tyler reached out to me saying he wanted to meet me, now look where we are.” You answered the question with a huge smile on your face thinking back to how your friendship with the 3 of them was the best thing ever. Tyler: “Well I couldn’t help but meet you. Your voice was so amazing, plus Josh couldn’t get his eyes off of the video of you. I even caught him in his bunk watching all of your videos. He was your biggest fan.” Josh began to blush slightly. Tyler: “Okay my question was how do all of you get along on such a small bus for months at a time? Honestly we’re like best friends. We only ever really fight about if we should get Taco Bell or Chipotle.” We all laughed realizing how true it was. Josh: “this question was interesting. What is your favorite song of twenty one pilots’ does live? Mine is probably trees because I love getting to interact with the people in the pit at our shows. Y/N has never told me what her favorite one is so that’s why I chose this question.” You: “I honestly can’t really choose but I really like Holding on to you because i know every word to that one.” Tyler: “She's not kidding, I think she knows it better than me. My favorite is constantly changing but I’m not really looking to get a tattoo that Y/N and Josh pick out so I'm going to say Tear in my Heart because I wrote if for Jenna. Because we're the better couple. Vote for us.” Jenna: “My favorite is truce because it reminds me of what brought Y/N here in the first place.” You smiled towards her. She was so sweet and you guys were like sisters. You: “Next question is when are Josh and Y/N getting married?” You looked at Josh who smiled and then looked into the camera again. Josh: “Well since everyone is asking I think it’s time we tell them…… we’re not getting married yet. Not until Tyler and Jenna have a baby.” Jenna: “Woah slow down there Josh we just got married not even 3 months ago. My next question is kind of personal but I couldn’t stop laughing at it. Y/N and Jenna what were your thoughts when you saw your your men pantless in front of people at the Grammy’s. I didn’t know it was even happening until I heard Tyler unzipping his pants as nominations were being called and when they were up there Y/N and I kept laughing at them and people’s reaction to them” You: “yeah I had no idea about it until Josh was stumbling to get the pants off in the aisle. Jenna and I were trying so hard to pay attention to the speech but it was way to hard to focus on the words when all I could see what Tyler’s name on my boyfriend’s leg.” Josh: “I kept looking at Y/N and she was practically falling out of her seat ad later her grandmother called to congratulate us and asked about my tattoo.” You all laughed looking back on that night. It was the best night you had in a long time with the 3 of them. Tyler: “Who has Josh and I met that has made you jealous?” You: “Easy Brendon Urie. I’ve love him for so long and when me and Josh started dating he sent me pictures of them hanging out to rub it in my face and I’ve hated Josh ever since then.” You lightly punched Josh in the arm while you joked around. Jenna: “Tyler met Y/N before I got to meet her, that made me kind of jealous because I watched her before they even knew about her.” Josh: “Have you ever read any fanfiction about twenty one pilots? I mean since me and Tyler write most of it yes.” Josh and Tyler joked “No seriously I haven’t, because it scares me what fans actually think were like when we’re not performing.” Tyler: “I agree some people can go pretty crazy while writing them and some people have a talent for writing so I’m not judging them but seriously calm down guys.” Jenna: “Oh yeah you guys definitely don’t want to read it. It gets pretty intense sometimes. Y/N and I read it sometimes while we’re at home and you’re on tour. Some of them make you want to cry and others are just psychotic.” You: “What is one thing you hate that me and Jenna do while we’re on tour with you?” Josh: “Not that I hate that you two get along so well but you guys hang out more than you hang out with us sometimes.” Tyler: “True. Sometimes I think you stole my girl from me Y/N.” You: “Well it’s out now me and Jenna are leaving you for each other bye.” You and Jenna both stood from the couch for a second before sitting back down and laughing with Tyler and Josh. Jenna: “If you had to describe your girlfriend/boyfriend in one word what would it be?” Tyler: “Dime-piece wife.” Jenna: “Tyler that’s more than one word.” Tyler: “Not if you say it fast.” You laughed at the two quietly as you thought about how to describe Josh. Jenna: “Tyler is adorable, he’s like a little kid. That’s another reason we can’t have kids right now. I have to raise Tyler first. Y/N what about Josh?” You: “Oh god, in one word i have to describe this man. This is tough. How do you describe something you love so much in just one word. I guess Josh is Jishwa. It’s a term not many know the definition to. It means hot, kind, loving, funny, and you have to be Joshua William Dun in order to be called a Jishwa.” Josh: “Well Y/N is hilarious. She just exaggerated her response to try to persuade you guys in picking us as the better couple.” Tyler: “So my last question is would you ever have Y/N join you to sing on stage? I’ve offered once before but she said if I ever made her do it she would skin me alive. That’s gone side of her you guys never see. She can be really intimidating, I know she was kidding but still she scares me sometimes.” Josh and Jenna were laughing and you glared at Tyler. Josh: “It’s good to know that my girlfriend scares people. Okay this question was good if your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things what would they be? I would grab Y/N, because she’s always with me, Tyler if he’s in my house, and Jenna if she was there too. But if they weren’t there it would be Y/N, Y/N’s camera, and her tripod. She couldn’t live without making videos.” You: “Good choices. I would grab my blanket, Josh’s drums which would be unrealistic but I’m still trying to win you guys over for that vote, and probably a box of cereal because Josh and I are always hungry.” Jenna: “I would grab realistic stuff like my phone, shoes, and a jacket.” Tyler: “my ukulele, Jenna, and my piano.” You: “This is the last question for this video are you ready? What is your favorite thing on tour to do with everyone? After concerts we get food a lot of the times from these amazing places that fans recommended to us.” Tyler: “I like the show.” Josh: “Wow Tyler. I like being able to hang out with Y/N all the time. Especially when she gets hyper and just wants to be like a kid and run around.” Jenna: “She gets that way sometimes. It’s like someone give her too much sugar and she can run a marathon. I like when Y/N and I get to go shopping and have time away from these annoying people.” She gestured towards Josh and Tyler. You: “Okay that’s it for today. I’ll post the poll on twitter for you to vote once I post this video. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment down below. I’ll see you all next time. BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.” With that you stopped the camera from filming. “Well who do you think is going to win?”Jenna asked. “I don’t know. I mean they love you and Tyler but then everyone love Josh. I guess we’ll have to see. I’m going to start editing the video tonight so it will be up tomorrow. May the best couple win.”

Poll: Have Elon Musk’s COVID-19 shutdown comments impacted your opinion of Tesla?
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has actually been rather singing both on Twitter and at last night’s incomes call about the Covid-19 shutdown. Musk is for reopening the United States instantly and thinks the positives in doing so surpass the negatives. There has actually been both favorable and unfavorable response to this however we wanted to see how our readers felt. Please vote and remark below.
If you’ve somehow missed out on the Tweets or commentary from last night’s revenues call, we’ve summed up listed below.
Musk appeared to remain on the script throughout the 1st part of the teleconference mentioning the Covid-19 crisis as bump in the road and headwind. After prepared retail financier remarks came an unscripted question from Morgan Stanley’s Adam Jonas about liquidity. Musk’s response included this statement:
So the extension of the shelter in location or, frankly, I would call it, by force imprisoning people in their houses versus all their humans rights, that in my viewpoint, and breaking individuals’s liberties in ways that are dreadful and incorrect is not why people pertained to America or developed this country, what the fuck? Excuse me. However outrage– it’s an outrage. — however it will trigger great harm, not just to Tesla, however to numerous companies.
I believe the individuals are going to be extremely upset about this and are very angry, since someone needs to actually– if someone wants to remain in their home, that’s excellent. They ought to be allowed to stay in the house, and they need to not be forced to leave.

Electrek’s take:
I’m simply a writer and publisher with an engineering background so I’ll confess primarily, I don’t understand the answer to this issue. In reality, I do not believe anybody, including the professionals do.
However it appears like the lockdown operates in decreasing the infection rate which is permitting the economy to slowly be opened up. In New york city for example, we are currently opening hospitals for optional surgery and have strategies to open manufacturing and building and construction in a few weeks (consisting of the Gigafactory here). The lockdown, while hard, worked. In that time, we have actually had the ability to increase testing and contact tracing which will enable us to find infections quickly and separate them.
The alternative, which Elon and others are recommending is opening up whatever like what has actually occurred in Sweden and see a raised infection and death rate but likewise have resistance and results come quicker while permitting the economy to open. Elon seems fixated on the death rate not being as bad as it has been reported but his sources are questionable.
That’s simply my take.
We’ll be moderating the remarks here to attempt to keep things civil however feel free to go nuts on Twitter

WOOW!!!!! OIL COLLAPSING -37% RIGHT NOW!!! GOOD OR BAD NEWS FOR BITCOIN & STOCKS?!!
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
In this video emergency update. Believe it or not, this is a daily candle for the oil price. And look how much it has plunged in one single day as I am recording this. It is down 36 percent. I want to talk about why this is happening, how this could affect the eith comprise and how this is correlated with other markets. Because right now in this financial crisis, we are seeing different assets being much more correlated than usual. And if you think that that sounds interesting, then I think that you should definitely be. Hello, guys. Welcome to the moon. Call it. I’m bringing this crew because of the video. And first off, in his video, in this emergency update, this is my second video for today. I am going to take a look at the oil price because this is the big news. Twitter is going completely crazy and the news outlets are starting to write about this currently because this is obviously a historic day for the oil price seeing its plunge this much. And this is the famous oil price, dot.com. And what a crazy day when you look at the price here and you see negative 32 percent in one single day. This is just something that does not happen every day. And interestingly, we can see here the oil price that ever since January the 8th, two 20. So just a few months ago, the oil price has now plunged almost 83 percent. That is completely unheard of. So why is this happening? Let’s take a look at this article. U.S. oil prices crashed below fifteen dollars a barrel. Global stocks are mixed. Of course, all of these articles that have been coming out for the past hours, they are outdated as soon as they publish because the oil price has been plunging every single minute for the past two hours. And let’s take a look at this article. So U.S. oil prices crashed Monday to a twenty-one year low. As the market continues to be roiled by an epic collapse in demand caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, global stocks are mixed as investors brace for more companies to reveal how much the crisis is costing them. And just taking a quick look at the futures here, we see the Dow Jones futures is down. We see the Nikkei is down. So we are seeing the futures for these stock indices the following oil. And we are also seeing Bitcoin getting a small dump as oil started to fall. I am going to talk about bitcoin in a minute, but let’s continue with this article. Monday’s plunge comes after prices hit an 18 year low last week as markets realized that record output cuts agreed by OPEC, Russia and other producers aren’t nearly enough to offset the loss in demand. Basically, there is too much oil and there is no demand curve the end. This, according to this article, is causing this plunge in the price, according to Stephen ins-, the chief global market strategist at Exec. Corp. He says, quote, It hasn’t taken long for the markets to recognize that the opaque plus deal will not, in its present form, be enough to balance oil markets. And according to Bjorn Tone Hagan, head of oil markets at Restart Energy, he said that the frantic last-minute trading is compounding concerns about how much oil the U.S. will be able to store. Ask demand dries up and this is the leading cause of these bigger price swings, according to him. And I mean, just look at this chart. For the past few days, the oil prices down more than 50 percent in just a few days. And just like I said in this tweet, it looks like the oil, has come sooner than the bitcoin having is coming up in twenty-one days and 19 hours, 53 minutes. And I’m going to talk about how the oil price could affect the bitcoin price. But before I do that, I just want to thank everyone for liking and subscribing to my videos. If you are still not a subscriber, please click subscribe below this video. You can also click this little button and click all and you will be notified as soon as I upload my daily videos. All right. So here is a chart of the beat comprise the S&P Futures and Oil Futures. And you can see that on the short time here. All of these prices have been quite correlated. Here we can see the oil price in red. And up here, we have the big comprise. You can see that the oil price starting to fall and then will the price continue to go sideways. But when we saw this continued plunge in oil, eventually Bitcoin did see a small sell-off. Nothing extraordinary. But there is some correlation going on here. And why I am bringing this up is because we can see how oil has been a leading indicator for many assets in the past few weeks. Let me just show you. This is the Dow Jones. Let me just bring out the oil price over the Dow Jones. We can see that the oil prices started to fall already back in January here. And of course, the Dow Jones continued to head up and we even saw a small little breather here, just as we saw a small breather in the Dow Jones. But eventually, as the oil prices continued to really tumble down, we saw the s in the Dow Jones eventually fall to the downside. Now, the big question is we have seen a breather in the Dow Jones and also in the oil. But now eventually we did see the oil prices continue to head down. Will this lead to another big sell-off in the stock markets? Well, we have seen big. In between all assets, we’ve seen a correlation between gold, bitcoin stocks or oil. Everything seems to be somehow correlated as the fear in the world is currently at record highs. People are very, very fearful. And of course, the virus pandemic is a big part of that. But of course, there is so much more to the story than just that. And I thought this was an interesting tweet by Alex Saunders. He says This is what the stock markets would look like if central banks didn’t print trillions and bail everyone out, $11 oil down 80 percent in weeks. And I think there’s a very good point. What would happen if governments didn’t print trillions and prop up the stock markets? Well, the stock market would probably look very similar to how oil is looking currently. And by the way, guys, if you still don’t have a VPN to hide your privacy online, I suggest you go down to the PIN comment right now and get nor do VPN. It is extremely cheap here. You can get a three-year plan for only three dollars and forty-nine cents per month. And like I’ve said before, I think everyone who is dealing with cryptocurrencies should have a VPN and ignored VPN is extremely easy to set up and use. So click the link and the pinned comment or at the top of the description. I would love to know what you guys think. Do you believe that the oil plunge now is going to lead to a sell-off in the stock market? Do you think it will lead to a sell-off in the bitcoin price? Please leave your comments down below. And also, do you think that the oil price could go to $5 in the next two months? Please vote in this poll, yes or no. Thank you very much for watching. Let’s see if we can put this video up to two thousand five hundred likes. That would be amazing. Thank you very much for watching. And if you haven’t seen my BYB it’s tutorial, I think you should definitely click right there right now. And I’ll see you guys tomorrow.

1 November 2019
Bits and pieces
So:
There's an election coming. Finally. Stay tuned to the IfG for all your election needs - and lots of #dataviz, of course *fires up live-blog*
A plea: can we have some useful visualisation about the election results rather than flash but feeble fatuous 3D flapdoodle please? (Yes, broadcasters, I'm looking at you)
Another plea - we've been trying to keep track of MPs announcing they won't stand again in the next election. Spreadsheet here, thread here - get in touch if you spot any we've missed
The subject line on last week's email - 8 March 2019 - was a genuine error and not some deliberate witty comment on the Brexit process and how we haven't moved on since March
Inevitably I missed a brilliant newsletter out of last week's list: Martin Belam's Friday Reading. Last week's included this on the Aberfan disaster
Some great jobs this week (though, as per, subscribe to Jukesie's newsletter if that's what you're after). Of particular note: the brilliant Rachel Rank is stepping down as CEO of 360Giving, a story of real open data impact - an amazing job for someone, and huge shoes to fill. Sam Tazzyman - who gave one of the best Data Bites presentations we've had - has also been in touch with various MoJ jobs, which you can find below
Speaking of Data Bites... there are still a few places left for next Wednesday's event, where we'll hear from Ordnance Survey, the Oil & Gas Authority and the Race Disparity Unit and from DCMS on the National Data Strategy. Join us! Or watch the livestream.
Another data-driven IfG event for your diaries - join us on Wednesday 13 November for the launch of our latest Performance Tracker report on public services.
And finally...
The IfG has launched a new podcast. I am on this week's edition with something completely different. You'll have to listen when it goes live later. But on a completely unrelated note, here are some links about data sonification:

Have a great weekend, and hopefully see some of you at #odcamp on Sunday

Come and join the Data Engineering team here at MoJ!
We’re doing modern data engineering in Python using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow, and incorporating automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and all of that good stuff. We’re making a genuine difference to how data flows around the Ministry of Justice. Our team and influence are growing all the time. In this recruitment round we are seeking people at three different levels of seniority, and are generally looking for people with coding experience who want to learn about and influence how analysis and data science are going to be done in the near future. Come and be part of a revolution in how data is done in government!
