you're right when you say a lot of moments are edited. we got some videos about bts practicing ON in the US but the only vmin moment we got from them is Jimin helping Tae stretching his body. by the way, i dont think its edited in a "we have to hide vmin" kind of way but its just they cant show everything otherwise the videos would be too long.
now about Jimin being shy, reserved when Taehyung is involved, I really love this moment. He was asked what was his favorite part in dynamite's choreography and Taehyung kind of cornered him. i don't think he would have answered Taehyung's part if he was forced to. so there is really a difference in the way he behave with Tae on and off camera. huge bonus to Namjoon who had to point out that Jimin was starting to panic lmao.
I also don’t think it’s a “we have to hide vmin” thing. I don’t think they intentionally make it look like Vmin isn’t close, and I don’t think they do it to cover a relationship if it does exist (because...I doubt that, even if Vmin are in a relationship, they are doing anything too risque in front of the cameras? That seems a little too bold because something could happen in the background and the editor might miss it and include it....it’s happened before with the Kook and manager incident... So I doubt there are even moments for them to hide. But I could be wrong...)
And yeah. There are plenty of moments when Vmin might not seem close based on what we got to see in a particular moment, but then we have behind the scenes accounts of people stating that they actually were close in the very moments that people thought they seemed to be avoiding each other. It’s really hard to judge on what small moments we get to see, even of just their work lives alone.
When they do things like cuddling, holding hands, talking to each other, pushing each other away, calling each other over, and actually interacting (whether getting along or not), those are moments that we can talk about. Because they happened. And an interaction is an interaction. If they don’t seem close in a particular video, I don’t have much to say about it because it’s edited and what can I say? They may have interacted but it was cut out. Or they might not have interacted, but it doesn’t mean there’s tension. I can’t talk about them not interacting unless it’s in a clear, unedited way that there’s something going on. And even then, I’d probably say it’s because they don’t have to be all over each other 24/7. Because that’s probably all it will be. Even if they’re fighting, or there’s tension, or they’re trying to avoid each other to have a little space...it all boils down to that. They don’t constantly need to be all over each other.
Anyway, moving on to the second thing. It’s pretty clear based on what the members tell us and what those “behind the scenes” accounts tell us that Vmin are very different with each other depending on the circumstances. I think that’s probably true for all of them. I work with my good friend, and, especially as a supervisor, I have to keep our relationship professional at work. If you see me and her outside of work, we’re completely different. So it wouldn’t surprise me if all the members are like that, because I firmly believe they’re all close. They each have a member they’re closest to, obviously, but I believe they are all close. But the way they talk about Vmin seems like their differences on and off camera are astronomical. I’m exaggerating a little, but we can even see the differences in the way they interact with each other on camera. I think Taehyung often tries to interact with Jimin like he would off camera, and it throws Jimin off sometimes. Thus we get his more shy moments.
And I’m just saying....on a really hypothetical stance of them being in a relationship. If they are, the way he becomes guarded makes sense. Because if any other member (he’s not dating) comes up and acts a certain way, what does he have to be afraid of? But what if the reason he gets a little guarded with Taehyung sometimes is because he doesn’t know what to expect. Like, if Jimin’s his boyfriend, what’s to stop Taehyung from kissing him? A little bit of a stretch, I know. Maybe. But still a possible reason why Jimin would be a little more careful with Taehyung vs the other members.
And yes. I love Namjoon pointing out panicking Jimin. That whole moment was honestly cute to me. uwu

Thanks to @vopekoo for this picture. So apparently, this is the bigender tattoo Jimin drew on his arm but this was a temporary one. This post is actually for people who like me were unaware of the existence of this tattoo. If there are other available Jimin tattoos, if it's not a hassle, do let me know. 💜

i don’t know if you already did but i would like to know your thoughts on jimin acting surprised when tae said 4oclock is inspired by their moment at the park but tae said he already told me him before.
So the specific moment that is mentioned here is in the BTS unit interview where Taehyung and Jimin are talking about Friends. (x)
When Taehyung mentions that that fight (or makeup?) in the park was what led to him writing 4 o’clock, Jimin immediately acts surprised to hear it. When Taehyung says that he told Jimin about it, Jimin counters by saying “Oh, that was 4 o’clock?”
I get so many things off of this moment here. It’s possible that Jimin just has a terrible memory and never honestly remembered Taehyung telling him that 4 o’clock was written about that fight (I mean, it’s not really the kind of thing you forget).
It’s also possible that Jimin was honestly surprised, but not because he was surprised about 4 o’clock having been made at that time. I partly get this feeling because of how Jimin reacted. Like it wasn’t a “really? You wrote that song then?” but more of a “really? You’re sharing that?” kind of thing. I get that from just watching him and how his eyes kind of shift around before he says “really?” If that’s what his “really?” was supposed to imply, I don’t think Taehyung picked up on it because he responds by stating that he’s already told Jimin about it. I feel like Jimin takes advantage of Taehyung’s response and uses as leverage to bring himself to the “oh, that was 4 o’clock” statement. (Or Taehyung did know why Jimin seemed surprised, and that’s why he’s quick to explain that he’s told him about before to give him the leverage to pull himself to that statement)
The thing is, with Jimin coming back with that response, it really makes it sound like Taehyung’s other songs may be about Jimin, too. (Not necessarily all of them though they could be, but at least some of them). The reason I say this is because if 4 o’clock was the only song written about Jimin, and Jimin knew about it, then he wouldn’t have been confused about which song was about him. (again, I mean, it’s not really the kind of thing you forget).
Let’s talk about Vmin!!
