Feels like every AU of voltron characters in ATLA setting has Keith as a firebender and I'm just not here for it. I get it, okay? Red lion, fire element, yadda yadda.

But. Keith grew up in a desert, in canon, and lost his dad in a fire.

Keith would be a fuckin sandbender.

And yes yes I know, angry people (tm) are typically cast as firebenders. But it's basically canon in ATLA lore that angry people (tm) make BAD firebenders, because they lack control.

Keith is an angry boy. But he's also stubborn, strong, tough, and resistant. Like an earthbender. Anyways yeah send tweet

I had come across this post with The Boulder and Toph and I had to do it, but with Pidge and Sendak. And, yes, utilizing Pidge being blind in an AU, but with a different outfit than I gave her in my MitD au series.  But. This felt perfect. Another option was using Haxus instead of Sendak, but I liked Sendak more since, in blind AU/s, Haxus is a good guy.

Trying something new! I've had this idea for a long time - what the Voltron Legendary Defender characters would look like in the Avatar: Last Airbender world. It's also been fun developing ATLA prequel concepts.

Thought the best way to continue developing ideas would be to start an ask blog! where I can share ideas for the concept and characters' backstories.

Just a small Avatar(the blue one) x Voltron AU oneshot. The Paladins + Rebels are the humans while Adam and other are the Na'vi. I'm not sure if it'll be Adashatt or Adashotor so ships will not be brought up.

Adam was hiding in the trees with his bow and arrow when he saw a group of Na'vi walking around. However the group were wearing fabrics Adam never saw before along with something on their feet. The group were also carrying objects Adam never saw before.

Adam only stared as one of them fall while trying to climb. Adam frowned and got his bow and arrow ready to shoot. These can't be real Na'vi, they couldn't climb a simple tree. They also made so much noise similar to a newborn. However the bigger one only made the noises, occasionally the scrawny one would as well.

Adam got ready to shoot at them, it would be doing everyone a favor, when a small version of Ewya landed on the tip of his arrow. That confused Adam. Adam lowered his weapon and watched as Ewya flew over to the group. Adam noticed that Ewya flew two members only. Adam stared at them. Adam didn't understand why Ewya wanted him to spare them but it must be because they hold some importance.

Adam watched as the group continued to fail climbing the tree. Adam debated on going down to help them but decided against it. He had better things to do. Like make his parents proud. Following a group of skxawngs around wouldn't make them proud. So Adam left them on their own.

Fanfic idea based on the fact that Keith and Avatar Wan have the same va:

Keith is the Avatar, and the rest of Team Voltron help him. Lance is from the Southern Water Tribe while Allura is in the North. Hunk is an earthbender, while Katie ran away from the Foogy Swamp tribe, and they live in the Desert under the alias Pidge, trying to go to Ba Sing Se to find Matt and their father. Shiro is a nonbender, who had found secrets in the Earth Kingdom while living in a Fire Nation colony.

i had this klance fic idea about an atla au where team voltron is alive during the avatarless 100 years and the waterbending purge

lance and allura live in one of the southern water tribe villages. one day the village is attacked by a fire nation ship where keith is one of the soldiers. lance and allura are captured. lance meets keith who is on guard duty and they start talking. one day keith isn't as careful with the water and lance manages to incapacitate him, free himself and allura and escape. he takes keith with them as a prisoner for information. then the three of them go on a quest to free the other captured waterbenders

some more details:

allura has white hair because she was blessed by the spirit of the ocean who saved her from drowning. her family was killed in one of the fire nation attacks. her waterbending style is powerful moves and controlling big amounts of water

lance is better at waterbending that requires precision. not as much power as allura but is better at control. one time he heats up water and keith starts thinking lance did some firebending and is the avatar which lance finds hilarious

keith's mom was from the fire nation but she opposed the rule and keith's dad was from the colonies. keith was orphaned though and the orphanage threw him into the army as soon as he was old enough. keith hates it there

later they meet pidge (nonbender, looking for her family), hunk (earthbender, offers them a place to stay when keith gets injured), shiro (nonbender, sailor who helps them get to the island prisons)
