Once Honerva and the remaining, known, hostile commanders were dealt with, many of the blades and freedom fighters went into some state of retirement or civilian status. Once Thace had offically moved into one of the blade’s grounded stations, he’d Sid Alfor in joining him as his partner. With things settled down it was time that he’d do something at was more common with the humans, not as official or tedious as the courting measures, a date.

And a night one for his mate. It was different, and seeing how he was convinced by Alfor to try some earth clothing, they did have a nice time. More relaxing and slightly secluded then they’d been used too. It was fitting for them both.

You took WAY too long. Then again, I got distracted once again…well, they are done now!

It’s a big risk.

Like a really big one, one he never in his life thought he would take, even back in his teens, at the height of his most horny thoughts, Hunk’s scenarios never took such a turn, until that day…

They had visited this planet, one that had a heavily naturalist culture, and back then, he had averted his eyes awkwardly, stuttering in every word. Only him and Allura had actually interacted with the people there, and he was under the impression she was just as awkward as him, just better and hiding it. They left quickly, and the incident seemed to leave their minds quickly, but it didn’t leave him.

In fact, it kept coming back to him for months. So this decision, simultaneously risky and extremely well planned, was his next step, b'ecause if all those years in space taught him anything, is that sometimes, he had to take a leap — or in this case, a walk— of faith.

Hunk had begun only in his room, spending more and more time just the way he came into this world. And today was the day he truly tested his limits.

He sighs heavily before the doors open in front of him, and as soon he steps through the door there's an immediate adrenaline rush though his body. The castle halls are dimmed and a little cold, but he barely notices it as he focuses on putting one foot in front of the other, he feels dizzy, maybe because his blood is flowing everywhere but his brain.

Hunk’s hands fidgeted endlessly, and every so often he looked around, but so far all was good… So far.

He wondered how the people on that planet did it so casually, because he was feeling shivers all over. He almost took a wrong turn on his way to the kitchen and quickly corrected his course.

The rest of the way seemed to take ages, but he did get there, and the kitchen was empty, as he hoped it would be. He grabbed the little bagged snacks he had used as an excuse to come, and turned to face the door, taking in another big breath. He came all this way, right? He just had to make his way back!

He stepped out of the kitchen; the hallways were as dim and cold as before, and he felt a little more confident. He was there, naked, walking in the hallways, and it was fine! Hunk smiled at himself at the thought, briefly amused that this confidence felt the weirdest part is that the confidence felt just as good as the anxiety. Damn, maybe all those paladin missions and fights and battles were turning Hunk into a bit of an adrenaline chaser.

Once he made it back to his room, he sat on his bed and inhaled shakily, the snacks forgotten as he had other, more pressing matters to attend to, namely, his boner.
