Voidplaces fanart made my attempt to design one of the ash and sun sand Graffiti you see around the map, with a more final design of my gmod player & explorer OCs. Hopefully I will figure out my lore for them soon.

It’s a troubling thing for a drow to dream. Since entering the Dessarin Valley, Bratwurzt has had several visions when they sit down to trance. Many of them induced by the npc’s questionable alcohol, Bratwurzt has been asking anyone and everyone what they could possibly mean. 

In the most striking of them, Bratwurzt found themself tied to a spider web. At their feet lay the bloody corpse of Selex. Hurtling towards them was the screaming face of a drow woman: Lolth? Their mother? Bratwurzt woke up before they could place her.

But if Bratwurzt is seeing Lolth in their dreams, it is either a very good sign or a very bad one.

Meanwhile the party cleric has been using Banishment as an experiment. She asked Bratwurzt if they’d like to “go somewhere else for a while, just to see what would happen.” Brat agreed and was sent to a very strange voidplace. Just before Cendrillion brought them back, Bratwurzt heard a voice go, “He-”

The next time Cendrillion tried banishment on Bratwurzt, they heard the voice again, loud and clear: “What are you doing.”

It was a voice every elf, instinctively, knows.

“You know me, Corellon. Just havin’ a goof.” 

Glad Brat’s just in the middle of a big ol’ custody battle for their soul.

GM_Voidplaces Fanart

Some fan art for one of my all time favourite gmod maps (and kinda games in general atm)

It has its own story to piece together, many mysteries and secrets and a unique atmosphere. I fully recommend it to anyone who plays gmod or people who like liminal space aesthetics in games in general.

I’m considering making some kind of fan animation for this series of maps at some point but considering how I’m struggling with motivation we’ll have to see how that pans out.

This activity at least helped me get a design I’m happier with for my voidplaces sona.

I guess she’s some kinda entity that runs some kinda mental health group in the void to help explorers and entities or something.
