Very interesting theory! Also I feel like this isn't the first time Vlad and Mehmed have come across each other (besides from the Ottoman Empire obviously) I think Mehmed is also immortal and they HAVE met before this after both of them somehow got affected by the darkness.

Ohh, like, after Vlad "died"/was put in the crypt in 1476? Throughout the centuries? I think they didn't, because Vlad says this:

So it seems, to me, that this is the first time Vlad is seeing Mehmed after 1476? And we know he eventually lost his humanity and doesn't remember most of the years in that crypt, but I don't think Mehmed would seek him out. In part, because he has his own "Can Only Be Out At Sunset" clause of sorts, and in part because Simion (Alexandra's father)'s descendants kept Vlad's crypt safe and hidden through those centuries, right? I think?
