The internet has an implicit, non-algorithmic method of sorting people. It can find very particular people by sorting on traits that aren't immediately legible. Tumblr is a very particular website, and the people who end up here, end up here for a reason.

Vkar is indeed a Tumblr user.

Zephaniah Ezekiel Thud is a persona that produces sophisticated arguments for why Vkar should abandon gender, ditch his hobbies, act straight, and conform to the business culture of football-loving strivers.

This reflects the tension between Vkar's individuality as a human being and his material nature as an organism. With a background in right-wing theory not bound by the lack of creativity of some of the natural conservatives, it's possible to come up with some surprising but coherent material.

Working back and forth on the tension, Ezekiel Thud is often presented as part of a dialogue with Vkar.

Clint Manstock is a hypothetical highly-prolific writer of science fiction and murder-mystery or detective novels. Because he is so prolific, he is unafraid to pursue wacky premises, such as a society where everyone starts off androgynous and only elites are permitted to have a gender, or in which someone is unwillingly transformed into one of the US founders, and kicked out into the lawless post-apocalyptic wasteland to restart society.

As a character, Clint Manstock is used to contextualize bringing up wacky sci-fi premises as a one-off joke - a kind of "In this essay, I will..."

Manstock is sympathetic to men, seemingly viewing himself as 'on their side,' and interested in exploring the nature of masculinity in particular (and gender in general). He seemingly does this by throwing dozens and dozens of stories at it and seeing what bounces off.

He writes for a predominantly masculine audience, and feels no need to apologize for catering to their interests. We don't know too much about his exact politics, except that he appears to think that Communism is 'not even gay' (an apparent point of dispute with the contemporary online right).

Clint Manstock is usually presented in the form of excerpts, summaries, or commentaries about his work. He likes to stump interviewers by playing with their unquestioned assumptions.

The words vkar and maiz

“Vkar” in Zehzhik means “bear” it’s pronounced [vkɑr] and is pretty straight forward in its meaning.

“Vkar üse maiz” means “the bear eats honey”

But the roots of these words are quite different

“Vkar” is a loanword from Ishu root vkr and “emaiz” is a cognate of the Ishu root 3v’yd.

Vkr means “to buzz, hum” and vkqhr means “to produce via buzzing/humming”, with its noun form generally meaning “honey”, but when used euphemistically and with animate pronouns it means “bees”. The noun vkqhr is pronounced /vaqʼɑʂ/ and written with vowels vakqhar.

3v’yd means “to nurse, nurture” and 3nv’yd is a noun that denotes the agents by which nursing is achieved (milk). It’s pronounced /ʕæmes/ and written with vowels 3anvayd.

Thus “vakqhar sujas 3anvayd” in Ishu would weirdly mean “the bee consumes the milk”, /vaqʼɑʂ syje ʕæmes/.

Zehzhik used the root vkr to euphemistically allude to bears because bears eat honey and the Zehzhik word for honey shares the same root for (breast)milk because it was seen as a commodity that nurtures ones self at some point in time, probably used figuratively until it was just used as the actual lexicon.

The Zehzhik word for milk is “maiko” which is a word that ultimately came from a portmanteau of maiz and kow (goat, sheep, cow). Ironically the word for breastmilk is “raźmaiko” which literally means “goat honey of the breast”.
