hihi!! i'm not sure if your requests are open atm, but i'd like to request a romantic TWST matchup pls? if not you can just ignore this, no worries! :) i tried to split this up as much as what seemed to make sense so it’s not so hard to read :’)
i'm two-spirit and i use they/she pronouns! i spend a lot of my time sleeping (i'm a very eepy gal lmao) and foraging outside with my friends! i also love video games (my favs being animal crossing, the last of us, twst, obey me, stardew valley, resident evil, etc) and cooking/baking! i'm quite ditsy to be perfectly honest and forget things very easily. but i am quite smart when i want to be! i've been described before as a very humble and dedicated person, but i tend to be very emotionally intense. my best friend florence said this abt me when i asked for a friend's desc of me:
"you tend to be really kind and emotional. you aren't afraid to express yourself in any manner. you also value connections that you forge with people and will always push those around you to do the best that they can. you're very stubborn, especially when it comes to conflicts; you won't stop until you've reached a resolution. you also value passion, both in yourself and others. i've never met anyone so determined for those that they love."
i'm a leo sun, scorpio moon (again emotionally intense lmao), and a pisces rising! in typology i'm an entp 7w6 721 sp/sx! i’m rather short (a good 5’3”), i have black hair with neon blue roots in a shag/hush cut style. my hair is very thick and very wild and i tend to have a couple of small braids in to represent my indigenous culture (with beads as well to make it pretty hehe). i have nice tan going on (again cause i’m native) and i’m a bit more on the thicker side when it comes to my body and i’m VERY feminine presenting. i have several piercings: (two nostrils, one septum, left eyebrow, spider bites, and too many to count on my ears) and three tattoos: one of the vivienne westwood logo on my shoulder blade, one that says “trns pwr” (trans power) on my wrist, and one of the two-headed calf (the one from the poem GAH i love that poem sm) on my upper arm.
i’m bi with a preference towards masc individuals, and i’m open to poly relationships although i’ve only had experience with monogamous relationships. when it comes to relationships, i tend to be a bit of a worrywart about my partner’s satisfaction and happiness in the relationship, and thus a bit self-conscious. i spend a lot of time doting on my partner and put their well-being before anything else, but when i don’t receive affirmation from them in return i immediately feel like i’ve screwed up somehow. i tend to view romantic love as like a joining of two people’s souls, and for me romantic love is very much a spiritual and intense feeling/ordeal. i’m very spiritual myself and i put lots of attention into my growth and well-being in every facet of my life, esp spiritually though.
i tend to look for partners who are at least a tad clingy so my doting is reciprocated, have some sort of trauma(s) or issues (yes i try to fix them T-T), and are emotionally intelligent. i LOVE domesticity and my biggest daydream is living in a cottage with my s/o and being completely off-grid and like, having a dairy farm or something no-kill. i ADORE all animals i prefer partners who do as well, in fact not liking animals or not respecting them is a huge red flag for me. i also get romantically turned off by people who take no time to process or take into account their emotions or other people’s emotions, or by people who are “holier-than-thou” and narcissistic. also very much a red flag to me. in terms of affection, i show it mainly through quality time and physical touch, though i don’t feel limited to just those two languages. im also very autistic so i also show affection through parallel play and info-dumping. when it comes to receiving affection, i also love quality time and physical affection and parallel play, but i can find appreciation through any love language as well.
and i think that’s about it! if you need any more info just message me at @ur-paramour :)
Hi Elio! Your formatting was great, and I have plenty of info to plot how to make hearts melt!
Let us see, oh, silly me, you have two hands for a reason!
Cater Diamond & Lilia Vanrouge
The eepiness does remind Lilia of Silver, so he just chuckles softly and tucks you in. Cater will place a kiss to your forehead whenever he finds you asleep. They both adore that even though you are kind, you are as equally stubborn. Both of them would also understand the emotional intensity; for different reasons.
I hope you’re prepared for this duo because they both are very clingy. The three of you could be out and about and people just see them trying their very best to melt into you. Someone gives you a weird look? Boom, face covered in kisses.
Speaking of kisses, they will kiss your tattoos and piercings. Lilia would be curious about the meanings, whereas Cater would gently trace over the line work. You would just be surrounded with tonnes of physical affection, and they also love getting it back, so please, drown them with it.
As for trauma, Cater finds it difficult to let people in due to his upbringing, and then Lilia definitely at least has PTSD. But it’s still trauma for both of them, both will have rough days. [You said you like to fix ‘em, well here’s two of them.]
Hair-dying sessions with both of them. Lilia would be touching up your roots, and Cater would be fixing up Lilia’s colour. It’s up to you if you can trust Lilia with your hair when it comes to maintaining the haircut. Cater would probably be the better option, he can also braid and bead your hair in cute styles.
INFODUMP TO THEM! They love seeing you get passionate and talk about hyper-fixations! Cater would mainly be quiet and looking at you all softly, whereas Lilia would occasionally join in with you, especially on topics that he himself enjoys; this can go on for hours at a time.
Lilia would LOVE the off-grid cottage lifestyle! The two of you would be out tending to the cows, and any other animal friends you have. Cater less so, but he comes to enjoy it eventually; he can be mostly found in the vegetable garden or with the barn cats.
You can and will have dates where you sit around and play video games together, and then go foraging. Cater would probably enjoy Stardew Valley, whereas Lilia would like Resident Evil.
DO NOT LET LILIA COOK! Cater will body slam Lilia to stay out of the kitchen. Please, for all of your well-being, please be the only cook.
I hope you like your match-up @ur-paramour. Honestly, I had to restrain myself from writing more, as I like keeping match-ups at a relative same word count. Saw 'polyam ok' and I went, "It's free real estate."
But I hope you enjoy Cater and Lilia! It would overall be a somewhat chaotic, but very cuddly relationship. They would also be very curious and eager to learn about any and all of your spiritual practices. Plus some bovine hugs from the cows.

OLD GOOD TIMES
After moving to New York City in the 1990's I started sewing my own clothes, buying expensive handbags as "investments", and reading American Vogue like scripture. So it was uncanny to walk through Reinvention and Restlessness: Fashion in the Nineties at the Museum at FIT and find this era, that was so formative personally, neatly historicized.
The curators have smartly identified trends: mimimalism, maximimalism, deconstructivism, environmentalism, logo-centrism, and grunge. But the time might have been dominated by personalities rather than ideas. There was John Galliano, whose dazzlingly baroque designs, both for his own label and Christian Dior, are under-represented here. There was Liz Tilberis, whose elegant remaking of Harpers Bazaar gave a strong alternate voice to Vogue. And, though the Supermodels are present in some video clips, there's no sense of their outsized appeal, the way they brought high fashion to TV ads, billboards, tabloids, and music videos.
Of all the trends identified grunge gets the least space, perhaps because it was about styling more than clothing. There are two mannequins dressed by Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs tucked in a dark corner near the exit, in separates a tween could find copies of today at Forever21.
Deconstructivism gets the most space, and the garments here captivate eye and mind. An elaborately rouched dress by Isabel Toledo makes exquisitely fitted human armour. A suit jacket and skirt in red mohair by Maria Cornejo, held together by a single button above the navel, feels just barely tethered to the body. A full-length black dress by Yohji Yamamoto is boldly and casually asymmetrical, as it's been spun by a monstrous spider. A pieced-together dress of bright muslin, striped shirting and moss-colored linen by Martin Margiela happily pairs conventional construction with disjunctive piecing. A suit next to it, by Commes de Garcons, tweaks the tailoring syntax of the western jacket and trousers while providing the necessary uniform. These garments speak knowingly to traditions of tailoring and dressmaking while finding fresh beauty in them.
To see so many objects I'm familiar with takes me right back to the decade. There is a small neoprene Gucci shoulder bag I handled in the boutique on Fifth Avenue and chose not to buy. There is a Jean Paul Gaultier tattoo shirt like the one I wore on my first trip to Paris and lost in a checked bag on the flight home. There is an asymmetrical Vivienne Westwood jacket in mixed tartans with a Peter Pan collar that I ogled at Century21, while it was still wired to the rack, that another woman blithely step forward and claimed. These pieces, and the period, feel at once close and long ago. Fashion marches on, and so do we.

Fashion Design Research
Fashion design in depth
Protest art in fashion.
Protest art in fashion has appeared in many different forms, Chanel incorporated the political issues of war and feminism into their protest filled spring summer campaign 2015 catwalk. The concepts weren't actually a part of the fashion designs on the catwalk show. a Chanel is a very famous fashion name, the platform it has to show case these issues is huge. They did this by using traditional protest techniques , banners and chanting. giving a dramatic performance.
Marketa Martiskova, Ensemble "Protest" 2012 shows her using protest art as way to create fashion. Using styles and techniques such as handwriting to give it a personal feel and graffiti to implement that rebellious concept. she has used tonal colour pallet to cement the seriousness of the piece.
How they protest - catwalk is it the best ?
We saw many political statements in New York fashion week 2017 mainly against the travel ban and trump. Even though some think designers did well to incorporate some sort of rebellion against trump in their show , other question if the fashion industry is the best platform to showcase such statements. As the fashion world tends to be flippant . Also there is problem that they are glamourising the issue which could make it loose it significance. also using underwear( LRS Studio and designer Raul Solisin ) in a political statement ,even though it grabs a lot of attention and promotes it well, could be sexualising the issue. and taking away the main focus.
Many voiced their opinion through printed slogans on t-shirt seen in Prabal Gurung fall ’17 collection and Public School fall ’17 collection. However, Models at Tommy Hilfiger - more subtlety - also wore white bandanas on their wrists, a sign of unity.
Punk Defined as a loud, fast-moving, and aggressive form of rock music, popular in the late 1970s. In North America however the word punk is used to describe ‘a worthless person (often used as a general term of abuse).’or an informal adjective meaning ‘in poor condition.’ This highlights the negative views of society on punks
History Punk first emerged in the mid 1970s in London as an anarchic and aggressive movement. They defined themselves as an anti-fashion urban youth street culture. The clothes portrayed their lifestyle of those with limited cash. This was due to unemployment and the general low income school leavers or students often experience. The clothes also closely reflected the loud ,expressive and controversial music. Made famous by the New York dolls and the sex pistols.
Punk also has a connection to protest art. , Led by Westwood and McLaren, distorted customisation such as rips, zips, studs, badges and armbands were now being used as a political statement on the street.
The clothes also carried slogans, not logos. Westwood and McLaren’s ‘anarchy shirt’ is an apt example.
McLaren and Westwood’s so-called Anarchy Shirt by Derek Harris of Lewis Leathers, who has an abiding interest in the activities of the 60s/70s radical activists the Situationist International.
Catwalk Punk soon grabbed the attention of the catwalk. Inspired by London’s daring street look. Jean Paul Gaultier challenged gender stereotypes with androgynous dressing such as his kilt-inspired ‘man-skirts’ in the mid 1980s.
Zandra Rhodes took elements of the punk style and used it in her collections making refined and more elegant versions in bright colours which were more acceptable to the rich and famous. Jean Paul Gaultier’s portrayal uses more of the iconic signatures we know for example piercings , leather , black eye make up and tartan. Whereas Rhodes has developed the concept to suit the ideas and likes of the people which punk wasn't really indented to hit.
Punk fashion became commercialised, and many well-established fashion designers such as Anna Sui,Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier, have used punk elements in their production.
Signtures Signatures of the punk style include , ripped shirts and safety-pins ,distressed look jeans and tops. The safety-pin trend became a punk-staple. Mohawks, studded chokers, tattoos, Dr. Martens boots and tartan. Women donned leather skirts and ripped fishnets and many scrawled slogans and band logos on t-shirts with marker pens. Body piercing was done in parts other than the usual accepted placement in the ear lobe.
Techniques
Punks cut up old clothes from charity and thrift shops, destroyed the fabric and refashioned outfits in a manner then thought a crude construction technique, making garments designed to attract attention. Trousers were deliberately torn to reveal laddered tights and dirty legs. Whilst they are now considered normal in the 21st century, in the 1970s it shocked many people, because it had never been seen before. Until then fabric had been treated as a material to keep as pristine, new looking and beautiful as possible. Safety pins and chains held bits of fabric together. Neck chains were made from padlocks and chain and even razor blades were used as pendants. ( threatening , danger symbol) .
Famous celeb Malcolm McLaren and his designer girlfriend, Vivienne Westwood. were the main catalysts in the punk revaluation. dressing and managing famous punk bands like the six pistols and the New York dolls
Vivienne Westwood, also made clothes for Malcolm McLaren's boutique in the King's Road, which became famous as "SEX". nside, graffiti and chickenwire were the interiors of choice. Its ‘anti-fashion’ philosophy would define the punk movement
conclusion
From my research i found that the 2 main themes which link protest art and punk is crime and graffiti . i would like to experiment with these concepts moving forward. Some techniques which i have learnt about that i would like to explore in my own practice is stencilling, use of banners and posters, distressing fabrics, safety pins and digital prints on fabric. From this investigation I can conclude that the rebellious style of punk has not only influenced high end fashion but also has had a big influence on what we wear today for example ripped jeans. Rebellion in terns of protest against the government has also taken over the fashion world ,especially recently through the conversional issues such as trump and brexit. Many designers have resorted to using punk styles to influence their protests such as slogan t-shirts and graffiti style font on the catwalk and in actual designs. However there is the question is the fashion industry the best platform to protest such political and social issues. Even though their platform is great and creates lots of media attention , the industry tends to be flippant and interest doesn't last long.
