Also I FINALLY met Vivi in game and. God I love her. She's fantastic. I love her entire deal. Hecking adorable too. But this little musing also played out in my head after I met her so I wanted to share some of Lavender's thoughts about her.

Lavender: Man she said some pretty odd things but I guess she's a new neighbor, so I'm going to treat her like all my other neighbors and make friends with her, and maybe she'll change her mind about... whatever she's trying to accomplish.

Lavender: I wonder what she likes?? A squirrel Amari..... what can I make out of acorns to offer her?

Lavender: ... wait. Is that racist? Should I really just assume that she likes nuts and acorns because she's a squirrel?? Maybe she hates them. She'd probably hate being stereotyped-

Lavender: *remembers how both she and Kitty adore fish and Catherine grows carrots and enjoys carrot foods immensely, and Donovan loves bones and meat*

Lavender: no wait. maybe that's just how we Amari work. We're just Like That. Worth a shot.

Lavender: *gifts Vivi some acorn milk*

Vivi: >_> *tries to surreptitiously secret it away without giving away how much she likes it*

I am so delighted to see we can send platonic ship and that you are insane about it!! (same here i love it so so much, tahat all my life) so what about Nami&Robin or/and Nami&Zoro

nami/robin: i love them and i wish they had more scenes together in canon :(( i love that they share a room and their beds are literally next to each other. i'm sure that they cuddle when they sleep. no doubt about it. robin reads out loud while nami does her nightly routine with makeup and stuff and then they talk for a bit before falling asleep. i love that they're the only girls in the crew but their role isn't just that. they both keep the guys in place but robin has that silly, satiric dark side that scares nami sometimes, and nami has that impulsive, thief side that robin loves too. and kjsdcjksdnjkasd they make me ill. they have girl nights. they go shopping. they talk shit about people together. they eat sanji's food together. nami talks about how much she misses her girlfriend (vivi, i miss you too. come back) and robin comforts her but instantly nami complains about her "not getting it" because she has her husband on the damn ship!!!!! then nami goes and hugs robin back again. i think they're the smartest and brightest girls ever and they deserve all the love. neither of them has ever had real friends and now that they have the chance to live freely, they finally can hang out together. robin is older and tbh i think she sees nami as this cute, young, brilliant girl with so so much potential. and nami sees robin as, like, this older, mature woman that's also her bestie and that's awesome!!! a lot of people ship them romantically but i personally see them as besties or sisters ngl. i think robin is still getting used to having friends like a normal person and nami teaching her how to enjoy life is so,,, so beautiful,,, they also have their own shenanigans and i need them to have wayyy more scenes together c'mon!!!

nami/zoro: i am so not shutting up about them i apologize- i love them. i am obsessed with them. we need to talk more and more about them. "they're overrated" they should be. they deserve it. i fucking love everything about these two. so, so much... the thing that makes me like them it's probably the fact that they're part of the romance dawn trio, and i'm very nostalgic about those three. they're all important to luffy, of course, all of his nakama are. but... there's just something about zoro and nami being the first ones that makes me insane. they're the ones that had to deal with luffy together when they first met, and ever since, they've just been sooo chaotic. i'm happy opla gave them scenes together (uhhh not so much the fact that people see them romantically. it's obvious they wanted to make them romantic. please don't, netflix, i'm watching you) because they mean so much to me! they have this lesbian/gay solidarity and hostility (yes, at the same time) that i LOVE. i'm obsessed with zoro being all edgy-wannabe (he's just quiet lmfao his dramatic gay ass wanting to be a dark swordsman is so funny) and nami like "??? shut up you're just dumb". the fact that they argue and zoro complains about her manipulative behavior but still always helps her and saves her every time,,, that's so,,, i love them. i know we all say zoro is luffy's guard dog, but that's not true. zoro is luffy's cat and nami's guard dog. he stays behind nami protectively with a dark stare and nobody dares to approach her bc they know they'll die if they try to hurt his navigator. he'd never admit it out loud, tho, but he cares for her an insane amount. and she loves him too. thinking about them cuddling when it's too cold and zoro's just the perfect pillow!! zoro braiding nami's hair!!! nami helping him clean his swords!! they look after the other all the time,, and they are the ones that know luffy the best, of course they're going to be the first ones to talk things out together if something's wrong with him. also, my zolu shipper heart needs to say that nami would be the first one to find out about them. in every universe. i love them.

Requested by @waskonedo-ttf ! Sorry it took so long haha, Heres a breakdown of the Strawhats' body languages when they arrive at Little Garden! (Primarily ch.115)

First off I wanna say, Little Garden is probably the first "normal" arc when it comes to this (in regards to everything in this post). I would say Whiskey Peak is, but there was no actual enemy there; it was all to set up plot and introduce characters. No climax and resolve on that island.

ANYWAYS! On w the post!

Vivi you will quickly learn that luffy is pretty much Never worried. This is a very cute panel uwu

Pretty much sums up the entirety of the crew's attitude to landing at LG, it becomes very common for when the crew lands at a new island. It's nice to see Nami be more laid back for once, Vivi has taken her place for this. Nami is usually nervous abt something with the log pose, or this thing happened here, or X many enemies are waiting for us, etc. It rlly is nice to se her be like....not panicking.

Vivi, of course, was in Nami's shoes but with good reason. Her comrad is supposedly dead, her kingdom is practically fucked, she's prolly never even Met such a small pirate crew like this one. Of course she's freaking out a lil bit! She learns to adjust tho so it's ok

I also appreciate Sanji not obsessing over the girls for once

I think I know what you mean now by saying the whole crew reacted pretty differently upon arriving at the island! Gotta say, that's not...entirely true? Since they kinda split up into 3 groups of two based on each others plans.

Obviously, Luffy and Vivi were one group, and left to explore since they were curious of the environment (or more like Luffy was and Vivi just made sure they didnt die; this plays out very similarly to how Nami handles things). This is all very typical of their personalities. The dinosaur thing is super goofy and really highlights that fact.

Sanji n Zoro didnt stay together of course, but they were the next group. They left mostly cuz they're stubborn idiots with undying competitive spirit..oh yeah and gathering necessities. They're pretty careless of the environment itself, they just wanna kick eachothers asses, as per usual. That doesnt ever change throughout the whole arc, but it does stop being their focus due to uhhh Zoro becoming a wax statue and sanji fucking off elsewhere (I think this was when he infiltrated the Baroque Works' plan and that was irhdidjjxjs AWESOME)

The third group, of course, was Nami and Usopp, who were too scared to leave the ship. I feel like they've been ridiculed by fans for this behaviour, but honestly they're the smartest group here. They obviously aren't as prepared to fight, which is honestly fine considering their roles on the crew (Usopp cant be excused as well for this but it's a personality thing that he grows out of throughout the whole series), so they stay to guard their stuff together. This is unrelated, but dude Nami and Usopp have like, the BEST bromance. They're so cool and supportive of eachother it's so heartwarming akejwksjsjd I am weak.

Sooo yeah ! That's the entirety of the chapter really. Nothing unusual here, just your average strawhat brand of shenanigans and bullshittery. Vivi fits in so well its :)))

This isnt exactly how I thought this post would go, mainly since i originally thought I'd talk more abt uhhhh how messed up the arc gets over time, and how this whole chapter made us have Very Different expectations for the arc. Sorry if this isn't exactly what u wanted, there wasnt a whole lot that stood out to me but I really enjoyed rereading this chapter! Thanks again!!!

Luffy deserved an apology before Usopp could re-enter the crew, yeah, but i think Usopp deserved an apology from Luffy, too (...and Zoro tbh). it’s not fair to him that he didn’t get one

like i just said. Usopp deserved an apology about Water 7 in return for the one he gave. Luffy did say some rude shir to him and Zoro, even if i agree w him about respecting Luffy’s position as captain, was incredibly harsh and callous about Usopp’s feelings / about leaving Usopp behind. both of them i think owe the guy an apology. maybe someday i’ll write a fic abt it
