Streamlined Visitor Visas

Commencing yesterday, February 6, 2014, Citizenship and Immigration Canada has introduced a streamlined visitor visa. The new visa would automatically consider each applicant for a multiple entry visa. Qualified visitors would be able to remain in Canada for up to 6 months at a time for a period of up to 10 years.

As the number of visitors to Canada continues to increase, with over 35 million people visiting Canada last year, the government of Canada continues to make it easier for repeat visitors to come to Canada. In addition, the fee for a temporary visa has decreased from $150 to $100.
