Yesterday I was going over the pictures of the many murals I painted this summer, during my US Crush Tour. I wanted to do an album of my favourite 10 but it was impossible, so I had to consolidate a bunch of these. Do you have a favourite one yourself? Locations for these pieces include Austin Texas, Los Angeles, Colorado, Las Vegas, Northern California, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio, Florida and New York. Im gonna need some good months to rest this tour off, but I’m sure I’ll be recharged by next spring for more magic! Yesterday I started spray painting a new mural at the entrance of my apartment here at “Muyawasi” in Quilmana, Peru. It’s a guardian creature that I based on the mural I had painted at the entrance of my Montréal apartment (which got erased by my neighbours last November). Here is the the finished version of my new mural/Portal for my friends at @voodoo.hoodoo.recs ! It was so fun the hit a big wall canvas again, with the old rattle cans and try something a little bit different. Here is the little piece that I spray painted yesterday at/for the “Urban Art Museum” @museoarteurbano in El Callao, Lima, Peru. The place is an awesome old colonial building right in front of the “Real Felipe” Fort! Big thanks to @entes93 for inviting me to have my work included in their awesome collection! This is the 3rd street art Museum I am now part of, along @streetartmuseumamsterdam (Amsterdam) and @street.art.museum (Russia), so Im super honores n stoked to be included more n more into that very powerful art movement!! Anyways, this fierce creature is my own version of a polymorphic deity of the Paracas culture, inspired by my trip there last week. Some interdimentional entities need to kill you in order to liberate you, may you realize it good or not, that is in the eye of the beholder. I just received this cool pic of my mural in Jacksonville, which will be in the next @ameliaislandconcours catalog. @billwarner4 tells me that his car is a 1952 Muntz Jet, which used to be owned by Grace Kelly. I still don’t know how to drive myself, but looks like a yummy piece of art my bribribribri joy monster is about to snack on!!! Anybody going to Miami Art Basel this December? I think I’ll make a stop there, on my way to my retreat in Peru, but not really planning any stunts. The big solo show I did there last year was great, but I had to stay put in my warehouse as to not miss any visitors, so I missed everything else. The other night, Arianne n me had the pleasure to have some special spiritual art family over for dinner. This is the epic Colombian muralist @gleo_co and her Brazilian partner @fellipe.scriptas . They where in Montreal these days painting a huge mural for @muralfestival . Though we hadn’t known each other past Instagram, there was a resonance between our art, so we decided to link up in person. So stoked they made time to share a home cooked meal, stories and perspectives. I am proud of this South American sister, who works so hard to drop huge visual-medicine bombs for the people of many cities. This includes the biggest latex paint mural in the world (!!), which she recently did in Wichita, honouring diversity of race n cultures. I’m always happy to meet more good talented souls who serve visionary as murals/street art, cause it’s such a great way to pass on the medicine to the (normal) people who need it most. I am inspired and grateful for this meeting. So once I had finished my Eggman Dome piece at the Beatles Ashram, I still had some latex paint left over and a couple hours to spare. So I grabbed this lil spot in front of where @themetanoist was finishing up her mandala and threw down this quick experimental freestyle.
