Lal Salaam Trailer: Rajinikanth plays Moideen Bhai in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s sports drama starring Vishnu Vishal, watch
Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai star in pivotal roles.
Rajinikanth enthusiasts anticipating his on-screen charisma can gear up to see him in the upcoming film, Lal Salaam, originally slated for a Pongal 2024 premiere. Following his last blockbuster venture, Jailer, the megastar's fans will be seeing him in theatres on February 9, 2024. The trailer of the film arrived three days before the theatrical release but it gives a vague idea about the film. Headlined by Vishnu Vishal, the film has an extended cameo of the Tamil superstar.
The trailer sees Vishnu Vishal, who is an alcoholic but is poised to bring his name to his village through cricket. Rajinikanth plays the role of Moideen Bhai in the movie. While the film doesn’t give any hints about how his character shapes in the movie, the trailer doesn’t leave much impact as his previous works have. “I trust in the justice system. I just don’t trust a few black sheep in the system,” says the character. The storyline seems about religious harmony in society.
The film marks the directorial venture of Aishwarya Rajinikanth. With music composed by A R Rahman, Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles along with Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai in pivotal roles.

Ajith Kumar’s Heroic Gesture: A Helping Hand in Chennai Floods for Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal
The recent floods in Chennai, 2023, brought forth stories of resilience and compassion, with actor Ajith Kumar emerging as a hero in the lives of Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal. Stranded for hours in the rising waters, the two actors found an unexpected savior in the form of Ajith Kumar.
On December 5, Ajith Kumar, learning of Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal’s distress, personally visited them after their rescue, extending a helping hand by making travel arrangements for the actors and the members of the villa community where they reside.
Ajith Kumar’s Swift Action: As the waters continued to rise in Karapakkam, Chennai, Vishnu Vishal took to social media, posting a plea for rescue on his X (formerly known as Twitter) page. Responding promptly, the fire and rescue department successfully evacuated over 30 members from the villa community to safety.
Ajith Kumar, having heard of their situation, went above and beyond by personally visiting Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal. Demonstrating his compassion, he facilitated travel arrangements for the stranded actors and their fellow community members.
Vishnu Vishal expressed his gratitude, sharing a photo with Aamir Khan and Ajith Kumar, captioning it, “After getting to know our situation through a common friend, the ever-helpful Ajith Sir came to check in on us and helped with travel arrangements for our villa community members… Love you Ajith Sir! (sic).” Chennai Flood Rescue Operation: Aamir Khan, who had recently relocated to Chennai to care for his ailing mother, found himself caught in the torrents of rain that battered the city on December 4 and December 5. The proximity of Cyclone Michaung to the coast of Chennai exacerbated the heavy rainfall, leading to disastrous flooding.
Both Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal, residing in the same villa community in Karapakkam, faced the brunt of the floods. Thankfully, the fire and rescue department’s timely intervention ensured their safe evacuation.
Vishnu Vishal took a moment to express his gratitude not only to Ajith Kumar but also to the government officials who played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of those affected by the floods.
Ajith Kumar’s act of kindness in the face of adversity stands as a testament to the power of solidarity and humanity during challenging times. As Chennai recovers from the aftermath of the floods, these acts of compassion remind us of the strength found in coming together to support one another.

Badrinath Temple History
Badrinath is a Hindu holy place dedicated to Vishnu, one of the major deities of Hinduism. Located in the Chamoli region of Uttarakhand in northern India, it is considered one of the holiest places in Hinduism
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu performed penance in the form of Beri for thousands of years and this place is known as Badri-Vishal. It is said that there was a time when gods and demons approached Lord Vishnu to help them cross the ocean to find the elixir of immortality.
Lord Vishnu agreed to help but insisted that he drink only the first drop of the ocean. The first drop was poison and Lord Vishnu drank it and saved the world from destruction, to get rid of the effects of the poison, Lord Vishnu retired to the nearby Mount Badrinath where he meditated and performed severe austerities.

Yamunotri: Finding the Yamuna River's Origin
Yamunotri, the source of the holy Yamuna River, acts as the initial point of the Chardham Yatra. The challenging terrain of the Garhwal Himalayas hosts Goddess Yamuna's Yamuna Devi Temple, a revered place of worship where devotees pay homage. It is situated at a height of NUM0 meters. Goddess Yamuna graces this place with her esteemed presence. Devotees undertake a demanding trek to access the temple, where they offer prayers and engage in the cleansing tradition of bathing in the icy waters of the Yamuna. I just saw Gatta Kusthi (2022) and I absolutely fucking loved it! (Mixed messages about the partiarchy aside 🙃)
Wikipedia bills it as a romantic sports comedy drama but while watching, I realized it was a dual-hero mass action film, too. You get a villain in the first half, and a new villain in the second half.
You get two heroes, Keerthi (Aishwarya Lekshmi) and Veera (Vishnu Vishal), both fighting personal and social battles. Keerthi is fighting her family, social expectations, and personal expectations when it comes to her responsibilities and her dreams. Veera — you will hate him in many scenes but you will also learn that he is unlearning the toxic things he has learned from his uncle and other men in his life.
Both Keerthi and Veera are given cool mass moments, but Veera has more mass action scenes (one man vs many), while Keerthi has the cool hero lines when she’s talking to the bad guys (stuff like “you’ll have to get through me to get to him”). Although, Veera still gets to be the one to make a big speech about men and women equality. (I really wished Keerthi could have done a bigger speech, too.)
All in all, it’s a good family entertainer. The songs are really nice. I’ve got the track on spotify now because they’re such bops. I’ll probably post some gifs tomorrow.
Also… does anyone have recs for Aishwarya Lekshmi? Vishnu Vashal is cool and all, but I think I fell in love with Aishwarya more. I want to see more of her movies. (Forgot to add that I already saw her in PS but I need her to be in the lead role 🥰)
P.S. Yes, I giggled when they mentioned an old Vijay movie.
