Mo blinked more than a bit surprised by Hunter's venting, wondering if he'd been able to talk to anyone lately. Rubbing the back of his neck again he sipped idly at his drink, "Was, alright then," he mumbled awkwardly. He was tempted to quip he knew Val had it worse, at the very least in general, but riling Hunter up over it wouldn't do any good. Slowly he nodded, "You made how you felt over the whole column and situation pretty clear, dude, but yeah. You right, I didn't actually ask how you felt about it." It was an olive branch, the best he could do with how odd this conversation was going.

When he saw how sad Hunter looked they flinched taking another swig of his drink. "Is this really the first time you're dealing with people talking bullshit about you? Thought you were on the internet, figured people have said stuff before." Then again it was harder to ignore in a small town, even he could relate to that. "You're really stressed about this, huh?" messing with his bottle he shrugged, "I mean it's never bugged me much, pretty sure I'm straight but who knows don't really stress about it that much," being with Eagan had had him less concerned over the label. Staring at Hunter, a chuckle slipped out and he held his hands up, "Didn't think you were, pretty sure you hate my guts so..." he shrugged trailing off.

"Yupp..." he said, eyes trailing back to the bar, lingering on the droplets rolling down the beer bottle and how they sunk into the wood of the bar top, "the amaaaaaazing Mr. Hilton, and his ability to make anyone's problems disappear, or would be making people's problems disappear if he wasn't too busy making his sons problems disappear." Was he venting somewhat now? He couldn't tell, and the steady stream of the afternoons alcohol was beginning to hit. Clearly drunk Hunter still considered Mo someone he could confide in. "Was. Until you fucked me over," his voice quivered. What he deemed as Mo'd betrayal still stung.

"You didn't even fucking ask about me..." Hunter's tone was aggressive, but it was quiet, as if all the energy he had to shout and bawl had been sapped from him, "you just jumped straight in with 'well Val had it worse.' And maybe she did, but how would you know?" Hunter looked up again, sad eyes meeting Mo's, a stark contrast to the usual glare of argumentativeness he had there. "The shit people are saying about me...the shit people think I am...it's like...it's messing me up man...I ain't been right since that first fight with Liam. I don't know how he like...got so in my head y'know?" He wasn't even sure Mo was listening, or cared; the guy looked like he was ready to leave anyway. "I can be mad at you and still say you're pretty. I ain't fucking lying," he paused, realising what he's said and shook his head hard. "I don't think you're pretty though, it's just a phrase. It ain't a thing. Don't be thinking I'm fucking into you or something."

He jumped when the guy hit him on his arm, almost tempted to deck him before he realized the guy seemed genuinely happy. He took a breath as he listened to the guy's explanation, not even understanding half the references he made. He was about to tell him off or just walk off when an idea clicked in his head. Debating it over he settled on fuck it.

”Ok look, you know what, you're right. Someone like you showing this place off might actually get us some good press,“ he said. He paused to look around as if making sure the coast was clear, ”I can give you the general layout of how things work and what the rules are,“ he said, ”Like what not to fuck with you know?“ He'd eventually realize Mo was telling the truth rather than playing along, or not. There was only so much he could do to fight against Darwinism. ”Like this place is the full deal on keeping people immersed, you have to follow the hours around here or it's game over.“

"Why would I be fucking with you?" Hunter said with a bite to his voice that showed his annoyance. Hunter fucking Hilton, why would he lie about his name. "I'm being legit with you man. Sullivan

Atticus’ dad Clifford, a retired veteran, supported his sons’ musical dreams fully, having raised him alone after his wife died. While roaming the world, Atticus met Elisa; a fashion guru with a fiery disposition. The pair had three children and Clifford moved in to help with the newborn. Like her dad, Lydia also wants to be an artist (whether if it’s for her love for acting or a desire to be in the spotlight remains to be seen) while Malicia, afraid of being unseen, finds relief in her friends.

Jaime and Paxton met/moved in together before they could actually get to know each other, both having been new to the city at the time with zero connections. They found themselves compatible not only as roommates, but eventually boyfriends as well! Jaime always puts others before himself; it shows in the passion he has for social justice causes he advocates for. Meanwhile, Pax works a parttime job at a small coffee shop, but is intent on putting himself through school to become a veterinarian.

Nigel and Shannon met at Foxbury and developed feelings for each other during study sessions. Though Nigel was the only one to graduate, he admires Shannon for making the decision that was right for her. He enjoys being the breadwinner while Shannon follows her artistic instincts, though he wishes he had his wife’s free spirit. Shannon is quite hard on herself and works tirelessly until she makes something she’s proud of while their son Kason, while a quick learner, really just wants to play.

Even if he’s never been the most social person, Kenzo is a loyal and fierce friend to those lucky enough to make it into his circle. A patron of the sciences, he cares deeply about precision and perfection. However, when it comes to raising his son Akira, he wants the boy to follow his own path, even if it’s not exactly the one he would choose for himself. Akira seems to be doing just that; far more sociable than his father, he never fails to leave a lasting impression on anyone he meets.

The year is 2025, a cliche zombie virus break out, but it's not like TV; it's slow and boring and nothing really comes out of it, in a few years most of humanity has adapted to the zombies.

Traffic is slowed down because a zombie has found its way on the highway and nobody wants to get bitten, they can't shoot it because the zombie has an ID vest, meaning that it has living family who couldn't afford to pay for the humane execution (because funeral homes won't do it themselves) so the body could be buried. The cheapest solution (that many took due to finantial reasons) was to just pay for an ID vest and let the body roam, because killing zombies is incredibly disrespectful and anti-ethical to the living members of the family.

Police arrives and remove the zombie, you resume your morning routine and hear on the radio that the goverment is actually considering passing a law that would allow hunters to kill unindetified zombies or those who have outlived their families (mostly the homeless) after a Tiktok challenge where teens tried to steal jewelry of the wandering zombies (dubbed 'smacking') went incredibly wrong. Years ago there would be an outroar as people saw killing zombies as anti-ethical but people are incredibly fed up with the zombies getting in the way of their work.

The law passes but hunters quickly break the law by also killing the ID zombies but since those belonged to poor families, they can't afford a lawyer, the only ones who could afford to presecute the hunters were followers of some weird instagram celebrity gury cult who believed the state of zombification is a natural part of the body, where the body would wander until it found it's last resting place before it finally passed away. The body without a soul meant it also could not sin, therefore, the longer a zombie wanders the world the longer it suffers to attone for it's sin and has its conscience cleared by the power of the Moon and stars.

On the other hand, tech bros and megacorps dump billion of dollars after a viral video of an employee died on site and reanimated into a zombie but kept working for aproximately 3 minutes before starting to bite people, into scientific research that zombies could be used as cheap labor. Scientists discover that zombies who did the same repetitive tasks for years may continue those tasks even in their state of zombification, the megacorps soon start a program in which "Associatives can become a permanent member of the family!" where people were contractually obligated to work ungodly hours to hijack their systems so they would become literaly dead slaves of the system. This practice was named 'necromancy'.

People can’t tell if they’re rich or not. They have a very large house filled with technology, and are all obviously very intelligent, but their house seems constantly overtaken by rot and vermin and is even crumbling in some places? They don’t seem to mind so fans pretend it isn’t there

Father has a podcast. This is...interesting, as he becomes especially popular with divorced men, but also some of the younger generations think he’s funny because his dad energy is evident. Definitely calls himself the grill master or something corny

Otak and his brother Loid are the family’s housekeeper/utilities guy/family friend and a fan favorite. Two of the most "normal" people featured on the channel

The favorite family member isn’t even related to them by blood. It’s some guy (gender neutral) named Tenno (nicknamed Ayatan) who is the only guest star to date to not attempt to punch Son’s lights in

They all call each other by their family title, and fans don’t know if its either a running bit, they hate each other so much that they refuse to call each other by their name, or the chemicals they’re constantly using in videos has finally got to them. (It's actually a disease so rare they are some of the only currently documented cases, and it's known to mess with memory)

Daughter has a fishing channel. People would use her videos as studying background noise until she started butchering fish on-camera. Mother has an educational channel. She’s extremely good at teaching but has also traumatized generations of “her children” (middle school to phD students) when she reads their comments or takes fan calls. (“You watched all my videos but STILL only got a 63%? PATHETIC! Unsubscribe until you succeed. Half-baked scholars have no need to follow me.”)

One time Tenno performed CPR (?) on the family’s power supply which was in the shape of a heart (??) It’s unsure whether or not it was staged and whether the power supply was fit for human use

When they all post apology videos to each other and begin to not hate each other’s guts, the Internet freaks the FUCK out (they finally got medicated and were forced to talk shit out)

Grandmother is a popular recurring guest and KNOWS it. Constantly reads her family to filth and comments under posts by her family with "Grand MOTHER 💜"

So many fans and other youtubers have entire multiple hours long video essays dedicated to them to figure out what the hell is going on. Anytime the family guests on another channel or podcast the mystery gets deeper and deeper. Is it black mold? Genetics? Sheer human hatred? Who knows!

Mo was still thrown from his talk with Cain, he'd hoped he and Val worked things out, if for nothing else so he didn't have to try and be helpful. They didn't mind Cain venting, but he struggled enough with handling his own feelings, let alone someone else's. There was a a small part that felt a little guilty that he wasn't better at being comforting, but he was the distraction guy. Least that's how he saw it. He'd been leaning against a building debating trying to find Eagan or one of his friends when someone dressed as mummy shambled in front of him. Part of him was wondering if he had one shot too many when he recognized the voice.

"Hunter? Damn dude just use all the fucking toilet paper in town why don't you," he said shaking his head. Cocking his head to the side he gave him a nod, "Yeah I'm on break, what's up?" Why was he still going along with Hunter's delusions? Cause it was the only way to get him to listen to Mo when he emphasized leaving the damn runes alone and follow curfew.

About Xavier’s online presence, virality and what it could mean for his identity

I find it interesting that he often ends up in front of a camera somehow, someway despite wanting to be “lowkey.” It makes sense that he’d avoid any type of photograph or video since he’s been around for so long, and having records of his existence could be detrimental and suspicious, but I wonder if meeting MC just has him throwing caution to the wind. Or maybe it’s because he thinks it’s his last “spring” so it’s like, whatever.

I always believed that he definitely had gone viral before, and the 4 star card that just dropped validates me, lol.

This text above happened before the myth card, aka before the movie, so I also think he got the gig from this. Wouldn’t be surprised if producers especially asked for him.

So, he has a sort of online presence. You’d probably could search pictures of him online. He’s been on a TV ad, has interviews and pictures of him going around, has his name in the Lumiere movie credits, not to mention his face was posted for promo by the movie’s account. It’s like if your face got posted on twitter by Marvel. Like, it’s not lowkey… at all.

Lumiere is a huge IP. It’s a brand at this point, of course it’s huge, there’s nothing people love more than /based on a true story/ and /superheroes/. Lumiere is beyond celebrity status and has become an icon in its own right. But that also means, he’s immensely talked about. There’s probably forums and online discussions about his identity—who he is, where he’s gone. Like, he probably has a Netflix documentary. Zooming in and dissecting grainy pictures of Lumiere, trying to get whatever detail they can. Mannerisms, physical appearance, fighting strategy, and god knows what else. I imagine he’s been picked apart to exhaustion.

With fame and mystique comes the conspiracies. So, they got his basic characteristics—build, hair color, fighting strategy, his fucking /evol/. And maybe even add in a witness report. Imagine somebody saw his eyes, heard his voice.

And then there’s Xavier, a notable and talented hunter who just so happens to sort of resemble Lumiere, and sort of fights like him, and his evol sort of looks like his. And you know this because it’s all fucking online.

It’s not hard to put two and two together. But hey, it’s just a conspiracy.

You think that with him being around for so long, he’d be wary of cameras, of leaving a trail. But he doesn’t seem to mind, or at least doesn’t act paranoid about it. I don’t know if it’s nothing or if it’s an intentional thing planted by the devs. To have his real identity leaked would be a mess—the public reaction, the pr nightmare. And there’s also the actual bounty on his head, how easy it would be to find him now.

I think somebody’s bound to find out. And for the sake of the plot and my own entertainment, I kinda hope they do 😁
