Hey Hope!! I remember you answering an ask about finding music recommendations through articles or magazines a while ago!! I can't seem to find it again and I tried searching your blog for recs but couldn't locate it!! Would you mind recommending again where to look for new music in general other than Spotify Playlists!?! Thank you!! Have a lovely day!!
hi bb
here’s some that i’m a big fan of:
• NPR Tiny Desk shows (i’ve found so many new artists this way)
• the subreddit r/vintageobscura ia a good one if you’re into the weird world of music like meee
• Last.fm is good with helping you discover new music based on what you listen to
• Altpress is also a good site for newer alt music!
• Spotify/Apple Music similar artists tab (i’ve found a lot of good artists through this feature too)
• the weekly roundup featured on The Alternative has their staff pick 5-10 new releases to write about weekly in one article which is always super cool to check out (you might see some of my write ups on there sometimes 👀)
